Sebastian Vettel's press conference was the only place to be in the Shanghai Paddock on Thursday. Even winning his third world title didn't bring the crowds out like this.
So some of you were queueing from nine o'clock onwards this morning to get the front seats?
Giant crystalline worm waiting for me to break mentally so that it can collect data with the brain tumor that it had implanted into my skull via alien shenanigans: What if this exact situation happened 50 more times with increasing severity.
When you’re cutting someone off the WORST thing you can do is say “I’m cutting you off sorry”. It starts so much unnecessary drama and then they go to all their friends telling them which starts even more drama
I’ve learned the best thing that you can do is to back away slowly so they don’t even notice. I’m not sure why outgrowing people is a concept that’s so hard for people to grasp but it happens
Unfortunately people still get offended either way so you just have to slowly step back and find new friends since they won’t understand
I/NCEST BRACKET - ROUND TWO: BRANWENCEST VS CUT OFF
Propaganda is below the cut.
BRANWENCEST
“They have such an amazing amount of tension and complex history and feelings, it makes their dynamic so fun and interesting. Plus y’know, who knows what happens in the Branwen Tribe.”
CUT OFF
“legally obligated since this hits like all the criteria and also must make sure everyone is aware that her booba literally inflates at him after he slaps and disowns her so yeah.”
Isaiah 56:5 (NKJV) -
Even to them I will give in My house
And within My walls a place and a name
Better than that of sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
That shall not be cut off.
I was on my way to the hospital to visit a friend last week.
Parking around the hospital is confusing. It’s a patchwork quilt of parking lots. With entrances in odd places. It didn’t help that some of the signs were down.
Up ahead of me in the other lane was someone with out of state plates. From the way they were driving, you could tell they struggling to find a place to park.
Apparently, their confusion was an unforgivable sin. At least to the driver who roared up behind them, laying on the horn and screeching to a halt.
After tailgating for them half a block, the offended driver whipped around them – cutting me off and then cutting the person from out of state off – so that he could stop hard in front of them.
My first thought was that he must have been in a hurry to get to the hospital. We weren’t that far from the ER. Maybe he had someone with him who was hurt.
But then he sped away from the intersection. And away from the hospital.
I didn’t catch his license plate. But I couldn’t miss the giant sticker on his back window – with the silhouette of someone kneeling in front of a cross.
That image has stayed with me. Because it’s a problem that plays itself out in all of our lives, in ways we often don’t realize at the time. And it is so not who you and I are called to be.
“We recognize a tree by its fruit, and we ought to be able to recognize a Christian by his action.
The fruit of the faith should be evident in our lives, for being a Christian is more than making sound professions of faith. It should reveal itself in practical and visible ways.
Indeed, it is better to keep quiet about our beliefs, and live them out, than to talk eloquently about what we believe, but fail to live by it.” – St. Ignatius of Antioch (today’s saint)
