According to the American Psychological Association, “Transgender is an umbrella term for persons whose identity, gender expression or behavior does not conform to that typically associated with the sex to which they were assigned at birth.” At the heart of the APA’s definition—and at the heart of the transgender movement itself—is a sharp distinction between sex and gender.
As many use the word today, sex has to do with biology, with chromosomes, with hormones, with internal and external anatomy. Sex, they tell us, is “assigned at birth” based on these biological realities....

If Christ has died for me, ungodly as I am, without strength as I am, then I cannot live in sin any longer, but must arouse myself to love and serve Him who has redeemed me.

“If the tomb wasn’t empty, I would be. If the tomb wasn’t empty, our hope would be. If the tomb wasn’t empty, our hearts would be. Only because the tomb is empty, can life be fulfilling.”

by Heather Adams | Many times, a person’s name holds special meaning. Children today might be named after family members to show respect or to honor their memory. After marriage, a woman usually changes her last name to signify the beginning of the next chapter.
In Biblical times, names were even more intentional, often saying something about that person’s character or their situation. For example, King David’s name means “beloved”, and he was known as the man after God’s own heart.
As a young girl, I was fascinated with names and their meanings. A favorite book on my shelf was A Dictionary of Common Names. So when I started reading through the Bible, I was impressed with how accurate names of people matched their personalities or station in life…

Psalm 27:4-5 NLT 4 The one thing I ask of the Lord—     the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,     delighting in the Lord’s perfections     and meditating in his Temple. 5 For he will conceal me there when troubles come;     he will hide me in his sanctuary.     He will place me out of reach on a high rock.

by Noah Senthil | There are hundreds of thousands of orphans in the United States alone and millions around the world. A distinctive feature of Christianity has been caring for these orphans (Ja. 1:27), but this was always expected of God’s people (Isa. 1:17). In the Old Testament, the ethical imperative to care for orphans was grounded in God’s character. He is a Father to the fatherless (Ps. 68:5). However, in the New Testament, we receive a fuller revelation, teaching us that Father is a proper name. God is eternally Father, Son, and Holy Spirit apart from the created order…

Walking in the Light
If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanses us from all sin. — 1 John 1:6-7 | World English Bible, American English Edition, without Strong's Numbers (WEBUS) The World English Bible, American English Edition (without Strong's Numbers) is in the public domain.
