Since Gl'bgolyb's a horrorterror and not a typical being, I always thought she didn't gain appreciable nutrients from the whales she ate but psychically fed on the suffering, since the Orphaners specifically take lusii and not unattached beasts.

Working With Death

Hermit-Wizard's Custom Craft Series Pt. 6

Death is something between a God & an element in my Craft. A constant force, yet still a personification of a natural process. However, in my personal practice, Death also rules over change.

When I tell people I'm a Death witch, I tend to get LOOKS until I explain what it means to me. Spirit work? Yes. Shadow work? Yes. Luring a poltergeist into a bottle with a clove cigarette & a little rum so my friends can sleep at night? Yes.

But there's more to it.

I took on the name Koennox, because it means "Friend Through Darkness". My Craft and my special practice is guiding people through massive, life-altering changes. Death & I work together to help others who FEEL as though they are dying. To get them to the light (which is a better life). After trauma, specifically. As that's a journey I've made many times, so I know the terrain well, and can teach others to navigate it & get where they wanna go.

Now the crazy part? I didn't choose this when I started. This wasn't some Starter Pokemon I selected when I got into the Craft. It wasn't as if I were asked "Green Witch, Kitchen Witch, Water Witch, or Death Witch?" Frankly, I wouldn't have picked this for myself at the time.

It's hard. I make people cry when I read their cards because I surface trauma they haven't worked through. I love people who are content to suffer because they fear change or challenge.

But Death is a constant. They have guided me through the most pivotal parts of my life. Kept me safe the night I ran away, walked with me when I came to terms with an abusive marriage...

And that, dears... Is why I worship Death.

So don't think you have to pick a path and stay with it eternally. Those Pinterest aesthetic pictures are enticing, but they aren't always realistic.

Now go forth, and get weird with it.
