lol lord have mercy. this is what I get for trying to help yall with a bug, huh? for the unaware, my teeth are just duplications of the ea teeth with the mesh slightly changed. if I have time, I'll make new packages of the teeth to see if that helps, though I highly doubt that since I'd be once again cloning from the EA teeth- and EA is the one that caused this, since people with completely vanilla games & no cc are having this problem. if you're having the bug, try the mod (that i shared in the first place in order to help people with this btw). I use the mod and have no problems with any of my teeth or any other people's teeth cc that's been posted over the years. if the mod doesn't work and you're still having problems, remove all teeth cc from your game and only use the vanilla ones. if you have problems with vanilla teeth only, find the EA support thread in the reddit link from my other post and report there. I encourage people to a) read everything already posted on this issue and b) try to help themselves a little bit. I have an open TOU and there's absolutely nothing stopping any of those 100k members from making a new package in s4s and seeing if that helps them at all. Or, even better, removing my cc from their game and moving on.

Meanwhile, when he's undressed against his will in love and thunder, his "friends" ogle at him instead of helping him :/

But we need to make a clear distinction between Bruce Jane and Valkyrie Korg. Bruce and Jane have always been kind and grateful to Thor regarding how he behaves with them and what he has done for them. Bruce literally said to him that it was he who pulled him out of that dark place, referring to the very instance you mentioned. And Jane was very concerned about him when Zeus stripped him (s*xual assault).

Now, Jane is an outsider, a human like you and me in the world of these Gods. She doesn't know what's normal/acceptable in their culture and what's not. When Thor is stripped and nobody even flinches - the massive crowd, Zeus' guards etc, and especially Thor's so-called friends - she is confused. This would be our reaction too if we were in her place because I know it was mine. I wanted to give Marvel the benefit of the doubt, that maybe this is SOMEHOW not immoral in this society because they were commemorating human killings 2 seconds ago.

So, she naturally asks the two people who are her guides to this new place and obviously know about its culture. She is definitely not ogling Thor, enjoying the situation, or indifferent. She does the best she can - asking if this situation is of concern and that they should do something. The only reason she doesn't take further steps is because she is assured by Valkyrie that they will step in when the situation calls for it, meaning this forceful stripping is not one.

Which brings us to Valkyrie and Rock Man. [Disclaimer: I'm only critiquing the writing and direction of the characters, please don't jump on me.] Like you said, Thor gave her her armor becuase he understands what it means to her. And she is casually sitting there ENJOYING him getting stripped, ogling him, eating grapes, wrongly telling his girlfriend it's nothing to worry about, and offering her grapes too. What the actual.

She says later 'you got properly humiliated'. This means that she knows what happened was wrong and immoral. That makes her actions there even more deplorable. Great writing.

Korg somehow tops this shittiness by f-ing commenting on the size of Thor's **** . Jesus! I hate that Valkyrie and Korg are unblinkingly staring at Thor like creeps. Waititi's creepy obsession with Chris truly peaked here. And then he had the audacity of having Thor kill Zeus in revenge without a second's hesitation FOR KORG. Like, that is how important Waititi wrote Korg to be for Thor right after Korg enjoyed him getting stripped. Let that sink in. It should be the opposite. So while I’m an imodna enjoyer, I absolutely agree to the agree-est of agrees that the most interesting thing they could do is break up right now. I don’t think they will, but I would love to see it. My concern mostly comes down to how fandom would react to Marisha or Laura if they did. I just deleted a somewhat similar ask and I do respect any choice people made to back away from fandom for their own personal well-being but ultimately...I don't care how the broader fandom responds. This shit pre-dates my entry into the fandom (people freaked out, apparently, when Gilmore's status was unknown in C1 when Hotis attacked Whitestone) and it's not exclusive to CR by any means (see: everything happening with the Good Omens fandom because the two main couples did engage with the various problems and communication issues and different desires they had). It's unavoidable, and honestly, it's kind of exhilarating to me. I am, as I say, a STEM bitch, and meta feels like a sort of logic problem, and a good way to piece together that logic is to find the holes in what others say. You need the bad opinions to be out there in order to best formulate the good ones.

Anyway: I'd rather have a good story than a docile fandom, and I'm posting that one block evader's alts mostly so that people who are more hurt by their statements can take precautions but they are ultimately on par with a disease-free mosquito to me: extremely annoying but not any kind of threat.

In the end, what I need to get on board with the ship is some kind of canon engagement with the core of it: that Imogen told Laudna repeatedly to her face "hey what if your murderer was right." I don't mind if that exploration comes in the form of a breakup, or a fight, or an honest and open mature conversation, or discussions with other party members, or leaning into the codependency; I just need there to be some stakes. Conflict would interest me, but it doesn't need to be a blow-up (though I really do think a breakup would be a new and incredibly good direction - there's a reason why Laerryn and Loquatius manage to have a trillion times the chemistry in a fraction of the time and it's the path from their introduction to their conclusion) - just the introduction of the idea that there is some line that would be crossed under some circumstances, or an exploration of the toxicity of having no such line. I think a lot of people feel the same! I don't think there's many people other than outright homophobes who think of Imodna as an absolute NOTP - it's just that a lot of us find it lacking, and it's a lack that can be addressed.

But I suppose them meeting isn't exactly an absolute thing stated by the items, as you've said. How did he get that super-accurate painting of her though? Did she not pose for it, or do they do portraits via other means in this game?

I had a slightly different interpretation of "personal goddess", so I went to search it up. Apparently, personal god/goddess is an actual concept/term? From Wiki, "A personal god, or personal goddess, is a deity who can be related to as a person instead of as an impersonal force, such as the Absolute." I don't know if you've heard of this, but I have not so I'm just sharing it here. Of course, even if this were the game's intended meaning, it doesn't make Marais any less creepy.

I’m not entirely sure how he came to acquire the portrait of Malenia, but to be honest I can’t really imagine her sitting and posing for him or someone else to paint her. I can’t imagine she would go out of her way to entertain someone just because they worship her. Godrick for example has a portrait of Godfrey in his castle which he probably bought (or stole) from the capital, but Godfrey didn’t necessarily give it to him or pose for it. Also bare in mind this guy seems to worship the rot and we know that Malenia doesn’t take too kindly to rot worshippers. I say all this because I’m not entirely sure what it is he does for her or the Haligtree for that matter. Aside from the possibility of him allowing Malenia and her army to station themselves there for a short while as they traveled through the continent, he doesn’t seem to really provide them with much else. If his family, for example, were smiths and they crafted armor and weapons for the cleanrots then I could understand Miquella and Malenia wanting to keep him on side and possibly send him gifts such as the portrait and the prosthesis in exchange for his service. But as far as I’m aware he’s just this guy who worships her and the rot and that’s kind of it. Now unless his family are super rich and maybe they provide financial support to the Haligtree? I mean who knows. Sorry if this sounds like I’m being a bit too harsh in my analysis of him, it’s just his whole setup to me looks like some kind of weird parasocial relationship and nothing more.

That’s actually interesting about the personal god/goddess meaning and I hadn’t heard of that definition before. That actually makes sense as he seems to be relating to Malenia on a more personal level in regards to them both being born sick.
