Age Swap AU Pairings

A list of who gets together and my opinions/reasons for these pairings.

This will be specifically for a Revelations Route, so if you wanna ship different combinations of characters in this AU, I won’t stop you.

I also won’t be getting into the Child Units (yet.) With all of that in mind, here’s the ASAU Pairings:

Corrin X Azura. I mean… it’s Corrin and Azura. How can I not? Especially since they’re not altered in this AU, but their kids are. Imagine big sibling Kana little brother Shigure dynamic.

Sakura X Hana. I’m as much of a sucker for Sakulise as the next FE14 fan, but honestly the bond these two have and have had for easily a decade at this point just overrides the softness of Adult Sakulise. Shiro is their son with Ryoma serving as a surrogate father.

Elise X Effie. Same as with Sakura and Hana, Elise and Effie’s bond in this universe (realm?) is just too strong for me not to pair them together. Siegbert is their son with Xander serving as a surrogate father.

Takumi X Oboro. This is a cute pairing, what can I say? Can you tell I’m a sucker for Liege X Lord pairings? Also, just imagine cute and sweet Kiragi making his mom’s Demon Face.

Leo X Niles. I don’t even know how to put my feelings on this pair into words, so I’ll just trust y’all to accept it. Forrest is their son with Beruka serving as a surrogate mother.

Hinoka X Hinata. This pairing is unique since it’s the only time I don’t ship a lord with their non swapped retainer (or another lord) but honestly I just like the himbo samurai/tomboy princess dynamic. Also protective older cousin Hisame is interesting.

Camilla X Beruka. Cute but strong Malig and her scary Assassin waifu? What’s not to love? Also Niles served as a surrogate father so they raise Nina together.

Ryoma X Xander. I decided to pair these two together since I figured I should do at least one pairing between a Hoshido and Nohrian royal. Since they couldn’t have kids with each other, they agreed to be surrogates so their oldest sisters could have kids, allowing Shiro and Siegbert to exist in this world.

Jakob X Charlotte. A very… very chaotic duo. This was simply a duo born from the fact that they were kinda just leftover after I paired off most of the other characters. Add super strength to Dwyer’s mountain of secret skills.

Silas X Felicia. One: they’re cute. Two: imagining Sophie inheriting Felicia’s clumsiness and ice magic is equally hilarious and terrifying.

Kaze X Orochi. Stoic ninja who struggles with feeling like he failed his liege due to something out of his control plus merry diviner who struggled with feeling like she failed her liege due to something out of her control equals both fun shenanigans and absolute angst. Also imagining Midori being able to somehow use a combination of Divining and her Medicine could make her a force of nature in her own way.

Saizo X Kagero. What can I say, I’m a sucker for this duo too. I’m sure they could be happy together once Saizo learns to stop having the personality of a cactus. Plus having two Ninja parents probably makes Asugi a super ninja.

Laslow X Selena X Odin. If I was gonna have Corrin get with Azura, an OT3 would be needed so all the kids would be capable of existing and I’m just a sucker for this trio. I’ll be using Henry!Laslow, Robin!Selena, and Lon’qu!Odin. Soleil inherits the Fell brand, Ophelia inherits the Exalts’s brand, and they get to be awesome redhead step sisters. Sorry to anyone who ships these two.

Azama X Subaki: …ok, look, so far I’ve done three wlw and only two mlm pairings. Two more guys were gonna have to get together. And after I saw these two, reread their supports, then read @unassumingvenusaur’s fanmade S Support for them, I wound up enjoying this pairing immensely. Also for the sake of not having to do anymore surrogates because this is getting complicated: Transmac Subaki (which I feel could not only make his backstory more interesting given the implications of how terrible his parents are) allowing for them to have a brown haired Caeldori and a red haired Mitama who are sisters.

Arthur X Setsuna. Apparently luck works like integers because when you combine an unlucky Fighter with an equally unlucky Archer, you get a doubly lucky Wyvern riding super hero. Also imagining dorks like Arthur and Setsuna together is just adorable tbh.

Kaden X Peri. When I don’t pair Peri (heh) with Laslow, I usually pair her with one of the furries so I can create an absolutely terrifying Kitsune/Wolfskin. In this case I decided that Peri would be Selkie’s mother and the rest of the army gets to suffer then consequences.

Hayato X Mozu. One: this is basically genderswapped Cyril/Lysithea and Donnel/Maribelle which already makes it a win. Two: Rhajat with Mozu’s hair and freckles is a hilariously adorable image.

Benny X Rinkah. Gentle giant meats muscular spitfire to create flaming good boy.

Keaton X Nyx. Yes, let’s pair the most mature woman in the army who considers herself a monster with one of the most immature guys in the army who can turn into a monster.

-Marth very much regrets not being able to fully protect Tiki so he plans on making sure its different this time.

-You'd never be allowed to train in combat in any way. No matter how physically capable or magically inclined you seem to be, your growth will never be allowed. He is focused on keeping you away from battle.

-He and Caeda would forcibly adopt you so you can live in the palace. Though she would most likely be open to it, she doesn't know you still have a family to go back to. The way that he treats you better than their children bothers her slightly. She'd never tell him her real feelings.

M!Corrin

-Corrin is immediately adopting you to be a part of his family as soon as he sees you.

-He is rather strong so he can protect you, but he encourages his siblings to do the same. However, if they seem reluctant to love you as much as he does, then he might cut them out of his live.

-He treats you better than Sakura or Elise, playing with you and spoiling you. If he has kids then he treats you better than them.

-He gets really happy when you call him "big brother" or "dad". Corrin would let you chose whichever you are more comfortable with saying.

-If you have parents, no you don't. Not anymore.

M!Robin

-Robin sees you being lost and alone and wants to be sure that you are put on the right path just like how his friendship with Chrom put him on the right path.

-He doesn't really trust others to take care of you. ESPECIALLY, if your family is still around. He doesn't have any good memories of his family (thanks to being an amnesiac and his dad being Validar) so he doesn't put much stock into those sort of bonds.

-He teaches you everything he knows. Robin believes in being able to rely on yourslef and others, and without strength he can't rely on you when you grow up.

-If he has children, he expects you to be extremely good friends with them. He wants you to be as close with them as he is with Chrom.

Entry 9: NO

Before doing anything else, I built a lottery house in the castle. The logistics of there being stores and gambling houses within my personal castle, that my soldiers work at, that don’t just give me whatever I want is kinda weird. The lottery gave me a radish I fed to Lilith.

Support: Hana/Subaki

C: Hana confronts Subaki about his tendency to refer to himself as perfect. He brushes it off, because he thinks that he genuinely is completely without fault. This angers Hana, who brings up a time Subaki fell off his horse and challenges him to a duel.

B: The duo begin their competition. Subaki, despite not actually having any sword skills, manages to defeat Hana by studying her fighting style over several months and messing with her head.

A: Hana takes the second round, beating Subaki in a horse race. Hana reveals that she doesn’t actually care about beating Subaki, just about serving Sakura, and the two decide to suspend their competition.

S: Subaki states that he hates when Hana brings up the time he fell off his horse because he embarrassed himself in front of Hana. Also the duo apparently love each other now.

Review: Decent set up, lackluster execution. I do like Hana’s feelings of inferiority in comparison to Subaki, and Subaki is wonderfully arrogant during this line, but the resolution comes from a revelation Hana had off screen and feels anti-climactic. I felt nothing during the marriage conversation.

Support: Hana/Sakura

C: Hana and Sakura discuss their childhood friendship and the fact that Hana has been protecting Sakura since even before she was a retainer. Sakura states that Hana’s stubbornness pairs nicely with her own introversion.

B: Hana reveals that Sakura’s kindness gave her a reason to dedicate herself to becoming a master samurai. Sakura reveals that she chose Hana as her retainer, in spite of her age and objections from others, because of...a reason explained in the next conversation. Gotta love cliffhangers.

A: Sakura chose Hana as her retainer because of all the times she protected her as a kid, so many times that Hana is covered in scars. Sakura feels guilty over Hana’s scars, but Hana brushes it off, stating that her scars are a badge of honor because they were earned protecting Sakura. Small character design note: Hana does not have any visible scars in this game. She does consistently have a scar in her arm in Heroes, and inconsistently has a scar on her left thigh, but neither of those scars are visible in game. Maybe the scars are hidden below her headband?

Review: First off, these two deserve an S-Rank conversation. They have more chemistry than most of the couples in this game. Setting that aside, I enjoy Hana and Sakura inspiring each other to be better. I love the idea of Hana protecting Sakura from feral dogs and Sakura repaying her by making her a retainer, going against royal officials to do so.

Support: Sakura/Subaki

C: Subaki yawns in front of Sakura then pretends it didn’t happen, because he is too perfect to get fatigued.

B: Subaki makes a tiny slip-up when filling out a form and has a complete meltdown, launching into a self-depreciating rant. Hana brings up that she’s seen him make mistakes before, which only makes things worse.

A: Sakura comforts Subaki and he reveals that his obsession with perfection stems from his childhood; his parents hammered in the idea that he must be perfect at all times as to not embarrass himself in front of royalty. He brings up the time he fell off his horse in front of Sakura right before she chose him as a retainer and reveals that he’s thought for years she chose him out of pity. Sakura comforts him, saying that he’s amazing and his slip-ups only make him more charming.

S: Subaki renews his vows as a retainer, promising to always fight for Sakura even if he cannot achieve total perfection. Sakura accepts, on the condition that Subaki marries her.

Review: I actually really enjoyed this one. The main gag with Subaki is that he’s arrogant and thinks of himself as perfect. This line deconstructs that, showing him fall apart at the idea that he isn’t good enough. It didn’t go fully into it, but this line suggests that Subaki may have some real mental health issues, possibly stemming from an abusive childhood. The romance isn’t perfect, but I do like the idea of Subaki ending up with Sakura because she helps him learn to accept himself. Also for all of Sakura’s supports I’m going to pretend that she isn’t like fourteen, because otherwise they’re all super creepy.

Support: Corrin/Sakura

C: Corrin asks if Sakura dislikes her and Sakura, who has never once visited any Fire Emblem or Smash Brothers forum, states that no one could ever dislike Corrin. Apparently, Sakura is awkward and shy around Corrin because she sucks at talking to people. Corrin offers to help her practice talking.

B: Corrin asks Sakura some basic questions and Sakura freezes up from anxiety and can’t answer anyone. Corrin theorizes that Sakura is easily intimidated by other people.

A: Sakura reveals that she’s always so anxious because she heard a rumor that Nohr actually wanted to kidnap her, not Nohr. This rumor was evidently false, because it makes absolutely no sense from a lore perspective. Also, I question the idea that this is the source of all of Sakura’s anxiety. Her anxiety around Corrin, maybe, but it’s odd that guilt over her sister’s kidnapping that she’s known for years wasn’t her fault would make her anxious around other people. I mean, it’s more pronounced around Corrin, but only in this support line. Whatever. Corrin swears to protect Sakura and I guess that means her anxiety is cured.

Review: This conversation is mediocre. Sakura getting anxiety because of something a maid said once is stupid, but Corrin trying to help her get over it is okay.

You’ll notice that I stopped this at the A rank. Well, you see, Corrin and Sakura only have three, conversations instead of four because, despite Corrin having a variable gender, Corrin and Sakura are siblings and Intelligent Systems would never include incest in a Fire Emblem game. They’d never do that because that would be terrible.

Wait. What’s that? Why does it say on the wiki that they have an S-Conversation? Surely this isn’t real.

Oh god it’s real.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

What the fuck, Intelligent Systems? Why did you include incestuous pedophilic marriage in your role-playing game? Seriously, what the actual fuck?

And, looking at Corrin’s support list, it’s not just Sakura. Every single Nohr and Hoshidan royal can date Corrin. I don’t know what’s worse, Corrin having sex with her stranger blood siblings or having sex with the people she thought were her blood siblings for years. Fine. Let’s just do the stupid conversation.

S: Sakura reveals that she’s been dreaming about the sibling she never knew for years, imagining what Corrin would grow up to be like. It’s actually a decent idea, albeit one hidden in the evil cursed S-Support that I hate. Corrin asks if they live up to expectations and Sakura states that they exceed them. Then Sakura says that she loves Corrin. Romantically. Corrin, being the sane person, objects, pointing out that they’re half-siblings. I don’t know where this half-sibling thing came from, as far as Corrin knows both of them are the children of Mikoto and Sumeragi. I mean, it is stated in Revelations that Mikoto isn’t actually the mother of anyone but Corrin, but Corrin doesn’t know that yet. Whatever. Sakura pulls out a letter from Mikoto that she only read a few minutes ago that says, psych! Corrin and Sakura aren’t actually related. At all. So it’s cool to bang. Corrin instantly gets over the whole “Don’t fuck your little sister” thing immediately and proposes to Sakura. What the actual fuck.

Review Continued: If ninety percent of the S-Rank conversation is convincing the audience that, no, this isn’t incest, you know it’s bad. And sure, it isn’t technically incest anymore, but who cares? Corrin and Sakura didn’t know that until ten seconds before they screwed each other. This is an incestuous marriage and it’s fucking gross. The writers clearly know it was gross, but they included it anyway.

And here’s the big problem with the Hoshidan sibling marriages: Birthright is built on the premise that this is Corrin’s real family, that Hoshido is her real home. It’s literally called Birthright. But if Corrin isn’t actually related to the Hoshidan Royals, all of that falls apart. They’re just strangers. The whole concept of the game doesn’t apply anymore. Because Intelligent Systems couldn’t release a game where the player insert doesn’t fuck literally every character. And, until we get to the point in Revelations where that is properly revealed, I’m going to pretend I don’t know it.

We got some new characters at the end of the last chapter, so let’s talk about them.

Silas

Silas is a cavalier who went turncloak for Corrin at the end of the last chapter because of a childhood friendship Corrin doesn’t remember. His personal skill makes him fight better when Corrin is injured. I’m starting to notice just how many of these skills specifically relate to Corrin, which makes sense but is still kinda weird. His design is fine, nothing objectionable there. I do think Silas’s forgotten childhood friend backstory is a bit odd, though. And I’m getting sick of characters who are obsessed with Corrin.

Saizo

Saizo is Kaze’s twin brother who looks like twenty years older than him. He’s the slower but tougher of the duo, judging from their stats. His personal skill Pyrotechnics is basically just him blowing shit up, which as far as I’m concerned is his solution to all problems. His mask is really weird looking, but at least he’s visually interesting. Personality wise, he seems like a dick, but in a good way. Our army needs some common sense and he brings it.

Orochi

Real talk: I forgot this character existed until she joined us. Orochi is a mage...er, diviner who has the personal skill Capture, which I’ll talk about later. Her design is decent; I like the sultry hair pulling in her portrait, it gives off a lot of personality. I don’t have much to say, I forgot she existed before the end of last chapter and have no clue what her personality will be.

Birthright Chapter 8: Fierce Winds

Team Corrin travels up the Eternal Staircase, a massive subterranean tunnel that leads to the Wind Tribe Village. Kaze notices that the group is being followed and a group of faceless pop out. Kaze and Corrin slaughter them with ease. Unfortunately, after the battle, the faceless turn into Wind Tribe civilians. Iago appears and explains that he disguised civilians as monsters using magic. He learned it from his favorite movie villain, the Joker from the Dark Knight, who Iago thinks is actually the good guy.

The gang reaches the Wind Tribe village. Corrin decides to just waltz in because sneaking past would be suspicious. Wind Tribe members attack. Not sure how they know about the whole slaughter thing. Maybe one of the fake faceless got away? Whatever.

Our three princesses apologize to the tribe members and they lead us to their chief, Fuga. Then the battle immediately begins. Guess negotiations didn’t go well.

Also here for some reason is Hinoka and her two retainers, Setsuna and Azama, both of whom are absolute morons. But, like, in a good way. Setsuna falls in quicksand, doesn’t care, and Azama immediately declares her dead. The fact that Hinoka has to basically babysit her two idiot bodyguards is amusing.

Setsuna

An Archer that works as Hinoka’s bodyguard. Her personal skill, Optimistic, makes her recover more when healed by a staff. A thing they do a lot in recent Fire Emblem games is to have characters that are based around specific gags or tropes. These are hit or miss, but Setsuna’s gag of constantly endangering herself and just not giving a shit sounds funny. The faced half-covered by hair initially makes her seem cool, but when paired with the dopey face and her personality it makes her look completely distracted. I like Setsuna, from what I’ve seen.

Azama

A monk who seems to be ridiculously optimistic and laid back. His personal skill, Divine Retribution, hurts opponents who attack him when he’s unarmed, which is a really cool idea. Azama doesn’t seem to be quite as funny as Setsuna, but still seems entertaining. I have mixed feelings on his design. I can’t tell if I like the closed eyes or not. The puffballs and wild hair are dumb though.

It’s worth noting that, because we move first, Corrin’s army attacks without provocation. Remember, they can’t see the red labels on enemies.

This map takes place in a desert. We can use the Dragon Veins to make it not a desert, which is good, because Fire Emblem deserts suck. Halfway through the battle, we finally talk to Fuga. He explains that we must earn the right to explain by killing all of his men. Bit of a dick move, chief.

We beat Fuga fairly easily. This chapter was fine, but just fine. Not bad, just unremarkable. Fuga explains that he was friends with Sumeragi and knows a lot about Yato. Apparently, us killing all of his men was a test to make us stronger so we can unlock Yato’s true power. Apparently, Yato can link something called the Sealed Flames and destroy the world. Neat.

Fuga accepts our explanation of the civilian murders. Which makes sense, it was kinda dumb. Actually, wait. Why did that have to be a plot point? Couldn’t this chapter just have been Fuga testing us?

Before we leave, Corrin and Azura discuss that there may be more blades like Yato out there. They don’t ask Fuga, because reasons. Also Fuga gives us his son. Neat.

Ok, so I know you’ve written about your Awakening and Three Houses pairings, but have you got any Fates content for us?

I haven’t actually played Fates, and I don’t know many of the characters beyond Corrin and the siblings. Also, some characters from Awakening are inexplicably there?

There was always something that seemed to excite Corrin, especially when it came to family. There was the time when Elise had asked for help setting up the tea for her and Leo, although she ended up getting wrapped into having tea with them, not that she minded, There was another time when Leo had asked for help, even though he was reluctant and bashful about setting his collar right. Another time was with Camilla, helping her engrave her axe with blessings that will help her in the battles to come. Last but definitely not least, Xander, the kind but strict man kept a constant eye on her, battlefield or not. Especially when she told him she was pregnant with their first child.

“Corrin, how are you feeling? You’re not sore, are you?” Xander questioned as he entered their shared room. Corrin gave him a strained smile.

“Xander, I’m feeling just fine. There is no need to ask me ten times within the hour.” Corrin chided gently. Xander had only seemed to hover around her whenever she mentioned something was off, major or minor. She loved her husband dearly, but surely he could relax a little. 

“Ah, I was unaware that I was doing such a thing. Forgive me, little princess.” Xander said in reply, setting himself beside her on the bed. “However, if there is anything that is bothering you, do not be afraid to let me know.” Corrin places her hand on top of his. 

“If there is anything, I shall let you know, my dear.” Corrin smiled softly, as she saw Xander visibly relax. She motions for him lay down beside her, which he does with little protest. Having the loving embrace of his wife was much preferred compared to sitting at a desk and attending to minor duties. “Don’t have any pressing issues to attend too?” He looks at her and hears her giggle as her fingers play with his hair.

“You are, my most pressing issue. Siegbert is to arrive within the next few weeks, I only wish to be here with you when he does decide to come.” He murmured, and Corrin hummed in response.

“I understand, just try not to fall behind alright? It would not do good if the King of Nohr were to fall behind in his duties because of the Queen.” She says it airily, a joke, and he can’t help but smile. Idle chatter continued between the King and Queen, enjoying the quiet evening, well, as much as it let them. Retainers on a mission to find their lord before long.

Xander was dressed in armour, Siegfried in hand as he took on his retainers in a mock battle. Testing his skill, making sure they would not rust. He could not rest, he needed to stay sharp, to stay in top form in order to protect his family. Even though he wishes to be by Corrin’s side as she goes about her day, he cannot. After the training, he is then carried away to a meeting, one that is essential. Queen Hinoka had made special arrangements, making it as close as possible to the birth of their son.

He wasn’t the only one excited for the birth of the soon-to-be prince of Nohr. Elise and Camilla wouldn’t stop talking about which cloth would be better for the babe and what he would like for toys. Leo wondered if the newborn would grow with a talent of magic, saying he would love to tutor the small babe. Queen Hinoka and Sakura were ecstatic at the news, happy that their family was growing bigger. So, he wasn’t surprised when they had made a meeting near what the healers had guessed Siegbert would arrive. However, he would have never had guessed this was how things were going to go.

A nervous looking young lady had interrupted the meeting, it was the youngest handmaiden that was with Corrin, if he remembered correctly.

“Y-your M-Majesties…! The Queen has gone into labour!” The young woman stuttered out, bowing towards Hinoka, Sakura and Xander.

“Where is she? Is she all alright?” Xander fired questions at her. She squeaked before getting her composure.

“She’s doing just fine, Y-your Majesty. I-I-I can take you to her.” She wrung her hands together nervously.

“We’ll be right behind you.” Hinoka said, and Xander nodded.

The four of them immediately left the room, closely following behind the handmaiden as she tried not to lose her way with the rising tension behind her. It was such a mix of anxiety, happiness and worry, the handmaiden was sure you could physically cut the apprehension with a blade. It was exactly two minutes later when they heard the pained shouts from Corrin and the doors opening to let Elise out.

“Big Brother!! You made it!” Elise’s smile got wider at the sight of the Hoshidans. “We need all the hands we can get, do you think you two can help?” There was a friendly wink sent their way. Sakura gave a firm nod, saying something about having experience herself. Hinoka showed her shaking hands, and shook her head.

“I don’t think I’ll be much help, I’ll get in the way.” Hinoka spoke. Elise went to speak again but a loud yell from Corrin cut her off. 

“Let me in, Elise.” Xander almost demanded.

“Yes, yes, follow me; and Hinoka just wait right here! If Camilla or Leo come by make sure they don’t come in, the room is full enough!” Elise said quickly, pulling Sakura along with Xander close behind. She directs him to Corrin’s side, while they go off and help, he doesn’t exactly care; his focus is on his wife.

He appears right at her side and the he notices the sweat lining her skin already as she holds the sheets in a death grip. Her eyes shut tightly as she tries to keep her breathing even. He calls out to her and he is immediately met with red eyes filled with relief. Her hand reaches for his, and when she takes hold, he knows he won’t be able to escape. The grip is strong, he fears she would accidentally break his hand if it wasn’t for the armoured glove.

Xander is by Corrin’s side the entire time, telling her how precious she is to him, how he can’t wait to hold his son, how he can’t wait for the three of them to be sleeping side by side. Even though he’s met with shouts and grunts, there is the occasional nod of agreement and hum. However, the cycle didn’t end till hours later, Corrin’s grunts were challenged by their babe when started to cry.

From that moment it was all a blur for him; one moment Corrin was pushing the baby out of her and the next there was a cry from the child before it appeared in his field of view in a bundle of blankets, still crying out loudly. Siegbert was gently placed Corrin’s arms, and she held him close, whispering words to calm him. Xander himself was in tears, he couldn’t stop himself. The scene in front of him is one he’ll remember forever. Corrin, exhausted and crying herself as the babe quieted down.

“He’s beautiful.” Xander whispered as he moved closer, taking note of how sore his hand was. Corrin gave a chuckle as she trailed a finger across Siegbert’s small forehead.

“He’s absolutely stunning…” Corrin said in return, eyes fixated on the babe.

Siegbert was quieting down and soon fell into a deep sleep, having his parents watch over him carefully as he slept in his mother’s arms. However, at sound of the rest of his family coming into the room, he was ready to start screaming again. Small lungs expelling force and sound as if it was all too much. Nevertheless, it was a moment in time where no matter what happened, this memory would be burned into their memories. Waiting to be fondly remembered down the long road ahead.

Title: Cloud and Lucina’s Coping of the Multishipping Harem Hell, part 2

Lucina: Alright, so here’s what happened: I was walking out of my father’s home until I ran into Robin, who asked me for assistance. I asked what was wrong and he said that he needed help organizing all of his tomes properly because they were all scattered around on the floor of his office. After a good 10 minutes have passed, he thanked me and gave me a hug. I told him to think nothing of it and ran out of his office, only to run into Severa, who are glaring at me. I asked her “Is something wrong?” and she said “Yeah, we were supposed to be training for our next fight!” I was a bit confused from what she meant by that, but decided to oblige anyway. During our training, she caught me off guard by knocking my sword out of my hand and she sheathed her blade in victory. She said “Heh! I knew I could-” then tripped over to me and we both fell onto the ground. As she was getting up, we were both staring at each other face-to-face and her face start to turn red. “W-What are you looking at? Stop staring!” she said, as she quickly got back up. She held her hand out and helped me up. Then, Kamui appeared behind me and asked me if I wanted to go to the beach with her. I said “sure” and picked out a red bathing suit for me to go swimming. Kamui kept looking over me and said how adorable and gorgeous I looked. I was rather flattered by her humble comments until she licked my cheek like an animal. She said “this taste...this is the taste...of a wonderful woman.” I was starting to get all flustered and backed away from her until I bumped into Palutena and Camilla. Palutena said to me then to Kamui “Hello, Lucina. Mind if I steal your woman for while?” Then she grabbed my arm and said “Thank you.” Kamui tried to stop her, but Palutena teleported us away before Kamui could get the chance. Palutena and Camilla showed me to a hot springs and asked if I would be okay to join them. I said “sure”, grabbed a towel and we were both in the springs for a good 15 minutes. The two spent most of her time gazing at me, complementing how smooth my skin looked and how my father must be a wonderful man to have me as his daughter. At one point, they even huddled close to me, cheek-to-cheek. Camilla then asked if it was okay for her to wash my hair, only for us to be interrupted by Sakura from Hoshido walking into the room and asked me for assistance. I quickly got out of the springs and asked what she needed. She asked me to “pretend to be Marth” and take her on a date. I was a little weirded out by this request, but obliged nonetheless. I took her out on a picnic underneath a tree and the two of us began conversating about our families. At one point, she was slowly reaching her hand out to grab mine and I took notice. She apologized for trying to make such as “silly move”, but I told her “it’s okay” and I held out my hand for her to hold it. Her face immediately went red, grabbed my hand without hesitation, and said "Y-Your hand feels very warm and gentle.” Suddenly, she got distracted by something off into the distance and decided to check it out. I tried to follow her, but a black figure quickly stepped in front of me. That figure was Joker, aka Ren Amamiya. He asked me if I was interested in joining the Phantom Thieves, but I respectfully declined, saying that I didn’t want to leave my hometown and my family behind. He then said “then perhaps I’ll have to take your heart to change your mind...” and got in a little too close for comfort. Shulk then appeared and yelled Joker off. Shulk asked me if I was alright and I told him I was okay. He said he was worried that Joker was gonna do something rather funny and to me and offered to take me home. I accepted his offer and he walked me home, holding my hand. After walking me home, I opened the door and saw Richter in the kitchen, speaking to my father. I asked what he was doing her, and he asked me to help him on a quest to kill Dracula once again. I accepted his offer and we both stormed a big castle, slaying tons and tons of enemies. As we got into the throne room, we decided to waste no time killing Dracula head-on. After the vampire was successfully defeated, Richter thanked me greatly and offered to take me back home for my troubles. I accepted his offer and he gave me a piggyback ride all the way back to town. After successfully escorting me back, I ran right into Pit, who asked me if I was busy. I said “no” and he was more than happy to hear that. He grabbed my hand and we both went to an amusement park. We both had a lot fun playing games up until we decided to take a ride on the Ferris wheel. We were both looking at each other nervously until we heard a large explosion off into the distance. Specifically, the woods. Pit grabbed and carried me off to where the explosion was and we saw Link fighting against Ganondorf. The two of us decided to aid him and we successfully slayed the beast. Link thanked us both and gave me a big, warm smile. I couldn’t help but smile back at him until Inigo walked by and said “Ah! There’s that smile!” and walked towards me, wrapping his arm around my neck, chuckling. I couldn’t help but chuckle alongside him, although more nervously. Gerome noticed me off into the distance and ran towards me. He told Inigo off, saying “You’re making her uncomfortable!” and Inigo obliged saying “Okay! Okay! I wasn’t getting touchy with her. Honest!” Gerome looked over at me and asked if I needed another mask replace my old one, but I told him that I’m fine and thanked him for the offer anyway. I backed away from the boys (who were arguing with one another) until I accidentally bumped into Tiki, who said “Ah! Just the person I was looking for! Could you help me, Lucina?” I accepted her request and asked what she needed. Her face went red and said “C-Could you pretend to be Mar-Mar? Just for me?” Once again, I was a bit weirded out by this request, but obliged nonetheless. I put on my bravado persona and she giggled from my performance. She thanked me kindly, hugged me, and ran off. As I was looking around myself in the woods, I saw Samus, who was laying unconscious on the ground. I tried yelling at the boys to help me out, but suddenly, they were gone within a blink of an eye. So, I decided to take manners into my own hand and carried Samus to my home, bridal-carry style. She was slowly waking up from unconsciousness, looked at me, smiled, and said “my hero”. I was flattered by this statement and successfully carried her to safety with no problems whatsoever. After placing her onto my bed, I felt a dark presence downstairs and ran to see what the problem was...and I saw Grima. Possessing Robin. Again. He turned to notice me and I attempted to swing my sword at him, only for him to dodge, kick it out of my hand, and pin me against the wall. He looked at me with a malicious grin and said “Perhaps possessing a vessel like this was a mistake. Maybe...just maybe...you could make a better vessel than this one.” And right as he began to glow with an intense, dark energy, that’s when I woke up.

Cloud (eyes widened, which doesn’t happen often for him): Oof. Just...oof.

Lucina: “Oof” is right. Seems I wasn’t the only one coping about dreams like this.

Cloud: More like a Harem Hell.

Lucina: Is that what we call dreams like that?

Cloud: Perhaps.

Lucina: Then how do we cope with such weird dreams like this?!

Cloud: You’ll find a way. Me, on the other hand...BARKEEP! Get me something that’ll get me drunk fast.

*The barkeeper nods, hands him a bottle of wine*

Cloud: Thanks.

Lucina: ...Can I have some?

Cloud: You wanna drown this out too?

Lucina: Is this how you solve these...”Harem Hell” dream problems?

Big Sister Elise and Sakura were...?

This is an AU of an age swap in Fates where Elise and Sakura are the oldest. Youngest are Xander and Ryouma. Next oldest are Leo and Takumi and the next youngest are Camilla and Hinoka. This takes place in Conquest with Izana. To say the tensions between the two families in a single castle rose to a high level was putting it... mildly. Corrin sat there, silent and awkward as he watched his siblings try to not interact. Xander and Ryouma were, at least, civil. But they could see how they both looked to Corrin, wanting them to choose one of the two to talk to. The next younger pair of siblings were... not too good. Hinoka was acting strange to say the least, more angry and hostile. Camilla took it in stride, seemingly haughty about how they were being successful in the war. Corrin had already intervened once, but Hinoka's yelling chased him off, and so he told Camilla to leave her be, thankfully she listened. Takumi and Leo, their older brothers, were not getting along. Takumi seemed jealous. Naturally he was, as he spent his life training for the moment to take down Nohr, but it seemed his life's work was all for nothing. Leo was definitely smug, he was not even trying to hide it, like Camilla was attempting to do. Corrin sighed, then looked to find their older sisters. Only to see how they weren't around. 'Did they leave to fight? I hope not...' they looked to Azura. "Did you see Elise and Sakura?" Azura nodded, "Yes. They left to another floor, shall we go?" Corrin shook their head, "No, I need you to stay here. I'll go get my sisters." Azura didn't seem so sure, but she agreed. Corrin managed to find the room and stopped before opening. The voices of his sisters drifted into the hall. "You're taller Sakura, and much thinner too!" They blinked. Sakura? Not Princess first? Big Sister Elise was speaking so... formally. "Ah, yes I suppose I am, Elise. You have some muscle, yet still so beautiful." That compliment...! Elise giggled, bashful sounding, "Aww, you're too sweet to me!" They knew each other so well! They didn't know this. Could this help stop the war? They eagerly waited for details. "... The Raiginto does fit you. I'm glad it chose you." Elise commented. "And you with Siegfried." Sakura agreed. Corrin poked his head in and muffled a gasp. Elise and Sakura laid together, curled up and hands holding. They were... friends? No, something more! This was perfect. "Hey... I'm scared for you." Elise confessed. "Don't be, Elise. Hoshido can survive. I am afraid for you." Sakura snuggled closer to the other woman and Elise did the same, "For me? Oh yes... Father." Silence elapsed. "Elise... no matter what happens to me, please keep going." Elise looked up at the other girl, "What does that mean, Sakura? Nothing bad will happen!" Elise sounded confident, yet slightly scared. "In case Hoshido does fall and my life is gone... I want you to-" Elise pressed her lips to Sakura's. Corrin's eyes widened, jaw falling open. "Stop. Stop it, Sakura. Nothing bad will happen! I'll save you. I'll save you're siblings! And then we can... we can run away!" Sakura smiled, sad and yet amused, "Run where? You can't run from Garon, Elise. Please, my friend, my love... just stay with me. In this room, where no one will know of this." Elise looked away and sniffed. But Corrin could see her inching closer to Sakura. His sisters were... in love? And they both accepted the situation? Corrin closed the door. It was something he should've never seen, yet... he was glad he did. Then he had every reason to defeat Garon and save his siblings in Hoshido. Elise and Sakura deserved that much.

Today shouldn’t be a day spent on the battlefield. But fate had other plans for you, devious ones that wouldn’t be undone so easily. How long had you been running, escaping his grasp only to find yourself in the midst of his bloody desires? Xander may not be king of Nohr yet but defying still met certain death; or, it would have, had the crown prince of Nohr not held an unhealthy obsession for you…

In better times, kinder, gentler ones, you might have relished in his affection, may have even returned it and been something… more with him. But there was no going back on this choice. Not after you had seen the lengths he would go through for you… that he still continues to do. You can’t think about the lives tolling up in your wake because of him-- that’s just what he wants, for you to think this was all your fault, to break down and lean to him for support. To trap you in his grasp and cradle you there, coddling you and fooling you into thinking he wasn’t a monster with his sweet smiles… You wouldn’t fall for it any more.

Today was the Day of Devotion. You knew, he would be more motivated than ever to find you. You could hear his words now, feel them plaguing your very skull; how sweet it would be, to be reunited on the Day of Devotion. It was sickening. But you had to had to remain strong, Graciously, the Hoshidian’s had allowed you refuge in their country, even letting you travel with their army for a short amount of time to Cyrkensia, where you would hopefully be able to flee the continent altogether, right under Xander’s nose no less. Azura’s performance would be the perfect distraction for you. The fight that would inevitable follow was merely a bonus.

“I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to travel with you this far.” You turn to Corrin and Princess Sakura, as well as Prince Takumi, and bow your head. “I wish I could help you further, but even my mere presence here now is a danger to you all.” Corrin shakes his head, while Takumi just huffs.

“The information you provided is has been immensely helpful. It’s thanks to you we even know Xander will be here today. We can be prepared because of that.” Corrin offers you a small smile, which you return with one of your own.

“You’re absolutely sure they’ll be there?” Takumi isn’t as convinced. For the few days you’ve been here, he’s been on his tiptoes around you; you can’t blame him for his behavior, though.

“Positive. King Garon loves the shows here and…” You heave a sigh, shaking your head. “...had I still been by his side, this would have been the day Xander proposed.”

“Goodness, really?” Sakura gasped. “In front of all these people? How do you even know?” Her face is flush from the mere thought.

“It was the day he wanted to go public with it. We… were engaged far before that. He knew I couldn’t deny him in a front of a crowd of people who adored him…” You clenched your fist tightly.

“Xander…” Corrin looks troubled. Xander was his older brother, after all. The rejection of his younger brother, and now you, his beloved fiancee… Perhaps there was an explanation for his behavior but never an excuse. “I’m sorry this all happened to you _____, I can’t help but feel part of this is somehow my fault.”

“Corrin…” You sigh softly. “It’s no ones fault but Xander’s own. We made our choices, and though they were in opposition to him, they were ours to make.” You take his hand in yours, surprising him before you continue. “But if we fault in the paths we’ve taken, everyone, from the people in your army to Xander himself, will suffer for it. Stay strong.” With one last squeeze of his hand you drop it.

“...Right.” He nods, and you can see him steeling himself. “Today, we’ll end this…”

“The shows about to start, we should hurry.” Takumi sends a look to you over his shoulder, ushering his siblings closer.

“Stay safe everyone. I believe in you.” You send one more smile Corrin’s way before heading off on your own to the ports. If things went okay, they would be able to defeat Garon, and maybe even stop Xander…

You knew little about the world outside of Nohr, Hoshido, or even Nestra, but anything was better than the war that countries faced and the terror that followed you here. It wouldn’t be easy start anew in a foreign place… “You should catch a nice price though…” From your pocket, you produced a ring; casted in white gold, and gilded in the finest of amethyst, any woman would have been proud to where it on their finger. But these engagement ring would be a new start for you in a different way.

“…You kept it?” You gasp and snatch the ring close to yourself, surprised to find yourself cornered by none other than Xander himself.

“W-what? How did you…” Your words died on you tongue as he approached you. You were frozen in place, malleable to his touch as he carefully opened your hand and once more slipped the engagement ring on your right ring finger. His silence, and the lack of any signs on anger on his part made you apprehensive.

“Why did you have to leave me?” He held your shoulders, preventing your escape. His ruby gaze was inescapable, his apparent sorrow scalding.

“Why?” You frown, willing yourself not to fall for his tricks. “Look at you! You’ve become a puppet of your fathers will, Xander!” You wrench yourself free from his grasp, surprising yourself. “Once you were a kind prince, someone the people looked up to; someone who I looked up to.” You take a step but to distance yourself from him. “But you’re just as mad as him now. You’ve taken away my rights, treated me like a child, chased me down the realm and back, and for what? Will you drag me back to your side? Will you prove yourself the craven beast I know you to be?” You glared up at him now, trying your best to read his mood, to not be affected by the hurt you saw in his eyes. He had already done far worse to you.

“Who has fed you these lies, dearest?” Xander approaches you, finally acting on his desire, lies spilling forth from his lips as he stocked towards you. “Who has fed you this poison, that you are so freighted by me even my face before you has you trembling?” You hadn’t even noticed it before, but you were; your hands were shaking and the familiar feeling of adrenaline was beginning to course though your veins. Fight or flight was beginning to over take your mind as he merely got closer, spoke a little more softer to you. “Won’t you tell me who I need take care of?” He got close enough to caress your cheek with his gauntlet only for you to flinch away from his touch. He faltered, if only for a moment.

“You’re too blind to realize it was you yourself who led me to this. I would sooner forsake my homeland and take up arms with the Hoshidian’s than return to your side once more!” You tried to be fierce, to show Xander you weren’t afraid of him. “I won’t go with you.” He was frowning now, lurching forward and taking your arm in a gasp that wouldn’t easily be shaken off.

“Why don’t I take you to see the show? To see what happens to traitors.” His voice was even, his face turning dark as you tried to struggle. His grip was bruising, and you were willing to cause a scene.

“Corrin is your brother!” You argue. “Why are you willing to show lenience to me and not him?” You cry. His shock is enough for him to drop you. You pull back dramatically, gently rubbing the spot on your forearm where he caught you.

“You’ve yet to totally betray me.” His eyes linger on the ring you let him replace on your finger. You hold it protectively to your chest.

“That’s… this is different.” You huff, scowling at him. “There’s nothing left in me that cares for you as I once did.”

“Don’t be foolish.” You yelp, looking back to find Xander’s backed you up to the a large crate near the docks. “You just listened to the same lies those rotten Hoshidian’s fed to Corrin, didn’t you?” He shakes his head softly. “I won’t let them take you from me as well _____.”

“You’ve listened to nothing I’ve said!” You cry. “Xander, stop this! Actually listen to me for once in your life!” You beg him, hands finding place on his chest.

“You must be so confused… And scared…” He sighs, as if some great sorrow was just discovered, as if you really were as scared and confused as he claimed. He was clearly delusional, at least when it came to you and your thoughts and feeling; you really had to escape him now, lest you be stuck with this man who could not see you for what you were the rest of your life.

“I’m not confused! And the only thing I’m scared of is what you’re planning to do-- Xander, Xander stop!” He takes you by the arm, as any prince and gentleman should, and begins leading you over the performance hall. “Let me go!” Though you are loud and vigorous in your attempt to not be lead away from him, the grip he has on you is stronger than anything you could put up a fight against. There isn’t hardly anyone on the streets to see you struggle against him, everyone has gone to the hall to watch Azura preform… You know once you’re in there, it’s too late for you. People will recognize you, hanging off the princes arm. And if his siblings are there, they’ll only reinforce their brothers delusions…

“Everyone’s going to be delighted I found you once more, _____. Elise is even here with us… I dare say she missed you as much as me.” He laughed softly as he lead you inside, as if you weren’t fighting like a rabid animal to be free of his hold.

“...Elise?” You stopped your struggling at her name. You couldn’t let the young Princess know just how twisted and vile her dear older brother had become in your name… if she saw you…

“Xander! _____!” As if on cue, the young girl appeared before the two of you as you entered the building. Barely, you managed to catch her in a hug as she barreled towards you. “Ohh, I missed you so much! I was so scared for you.” She looked at you with big doe eyes, and your heart beat painfully at it. So, this is how he planned to keep you in line…

“Hey sweetheart…” You gently smoothed down her hair as she snuggled into you. “I’m sorry to have worried you, I just…” You pause, looking to Xander as he frowned softly.

“Xander said you didn’t love us anymore, is that true?” Her eyes were watering. You hushed her gently, moving to sit on your knees to better be at her level.

“I could never stop loving you, you know that.” You gave her a smile, a genuine one. Elise’s innocence was something to be protected… You couldn’t let her know the true nature of your relationship with Xander. “I just… had some business to attend to before our big day here, that’s all.” You sigh softly.

“Big day!” She gaps. “Are you two--” You hush her by placing your finger over her lips, and winking.

“It’s a surprise! Don’t ruin it for anyone!” You manage a smile for her.

“Come on you two.” Xander is smiling as well. He helps you to your feet and you can’t help the looming sense of dread that lingers in you as his hands leave you. “The show is nearly over now, and father is expecting us. We’ll get to announce the news after that.” With the joy only a young girl could bring, Elise bounds over to the stairs that lead to the balcony over viewing the stage. Once alone with you, he speaks again. “You even remembered what today was, didn’t you?” You hate how… in love with you he looks. It looks genuine; it brings up old feelings you would rather forget…

“The Day of Devotion.” You frown, looking away from him as you ascend the stairs.

“Today is the day we first say I love you to one another… Was it really two years ago?” He sighs softly and you falter for a moment.

“I said that to a man you no longer are.” He’s silent as the two of you finally make it to the terrace. Elise is there, as is King Garon. You’re greeted with the usual dismissal and nod he had given you in the past; you doubt he even noticed you absence. You look past him, to the crowd gathered on the boats and docks below. You note, its not yet Azura singing… She must not have preformed yet. You can’t see any familiar faces in the crowd, so perhaps Corrin’s army is more well hidden than you thought… Maybe, there was still a chance for you to escape.

“_____…” The songstress’s words are dying in your ears as you meet Xander’s gaze. It’s nothing but tender gazes and bygone feelings that twist around in your stomach. Oh, gods above, he’s kneeling-- Elise is gasping and even Garon has shifted his attention to the two of you, an unreadable look on his face. It’s nearly too much as your stomach turns and shifts inside you. “We’ve been through so much together-- I’ve proven to you I would do anything to keep you at my side. I’ve found you at the ends of our shores, and brought you back where you belong. Please, I can’t bare to be without you-- do me the honor of being my wife, and give me the privilege of being your husband.” He’s so serious. You know you can’t refuse him. Not here, not now. But still, words hesitate to leave your mouth.

“X-xander… I…” You stumble over your words, staring down at him as he gazes adoringly at you. Faintly, you can hear someone else has begun to sing. Their voice is familiar, and even the words they’re singing… Its not until you notice Garon in pain that you gasp. “Azura!” You drop Xander’s hands, much to his dismay, and turn to watch her. Her performance is breath taking and amazingly, its affecting Garon. He looks as if he’s about to burst or something, and things quickly devolve after that.

You can hardly keep up with it; someone is telling Xander the Hoshidian’s are here, Garon is quickly taken away to recover, and Xander is gearing up for battle as Corrin and his army show themselves. Xander, though it all, looks more than angered; you can see through his crimson eyes that this is something that cannot be forgiven.

“They dare ruin our moment?” Xander won’t even let you leave his side, hoisting you up on his horse to fight before you can think twice. “I think it’s high time I show them, and you, just what happens when you betray the kingdom of Nohr.”

“Xander wait! There are still innocent people here!” You beg, gripping on to his back as he rode into battle. “Please, let them escape! It’s not as it if Corrin knew what you had planned today! It’s not worth innocent lives to try and stop them.” You beg. “You have me now. I won’t leave, I promise. I’ll marry you if it means no one gets hurt here today.” Your desperate for Corrin and his army to make their mistake. A battle where they can get away is a battle they might be able to win in the future and that means a future where you might escape Xander.

“_____, dear, had you so easily forgotten what happened when you defy me?” He sighs softly, shaking his head. “These lives I take-- the blood I shed, its all on your hands as well. Perhaps, had you stayed by my side… we wouldn’t be here today.” You hide your face in his back as you feel warm blood quickly rush over you. He’s charging straight for Corrin and the other Hoshidian royals, you know. It’s all you can do to remove yourself from the situation and try not to internalize his words. Still, you can help but wonder… would things be like this had you stayed with him, so long ago? Would there really be no blood on your hands?
