🗣️ This is for all new internet connected cars
A new study has found that your car likely knows more about you than your mom. That is disconcerting, but what’s even more so is what is being done with your information. It’s all about the Benjamins. Our private information is being collected and sold.
The Mozilla Foundation, a non-profit that studies internet and privacy issues, studied 25 car manufacturers. And it found every manufacturer sold in America poses a greater risk to your privacy than any device, app or social media platform.
Our cars are rolling computers, many of which are connected to the internet collecting information about how you drive and where. New cars also have microphones and sensors that give you safety features like automatic braking and drowsy driver detection. Those systems are also providing information. Got GPS or satellite radio? Then your car likely knows your habits, musical and political preferences.
Did you download your car’s app which gives you access to even more features? Well that also gives your car access to your phone and all the information on it.
The study found that of the 25 car brands, 84% say they sell your personal data.
And what they collect is astounding.
One example the study sites is KIA’s privacy policy. It indicates the company collects information about your sexual activity. I initially didn’t believe it until I pulled KIA’s privacy policy and read it. And it’s right there in black and white. It says it collects information about your “ethnicity, religious, philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, sex life, or political opinions.
And it says it can keep your info for “as long as is necessary for the legitimate business purpose set out in this privacy notice.”
Translation: Nissan can keep your information as long as they want to. And more than half of the manufacturers (56%) say they will share your information with law enforcement if asked.

#OneNETnewsInvestigates: Paid2Play uncovers significant concerns about transaction delays, scams and fraudulent activities, leading to questions of legitimacy [EXCLUSIVE]
(Written by Miko Kubota and Mitch Williams / Bailley Mass Communication News Intern for OneNETnews, Radyo Bandera Patrol #4 news reporter of OneNETnews and Station Manager & President of OneNETtv Channel)
PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- In a whole wide world where online earning opportunities and virtual job seeking enthusiasts are increasingly enticing, a skeptic 'get paid to' online platform has caught the attention of many global techy users. The so-called "Paid2Play" brings a wide variety of options and real-life tasks. This platform has gained popularity among individuals seeking ways to make small or medium monetary income, rather than finding a better job in the outside world. However, concerns and claims suggesting potential scams and fraudulent activities have raised red flags for many users worldwide.
In this exclusive investigative news report of OneNETnews, we dive deeper into the workings of Paid2Play and attempt to uncover the truth about its legitimacy.
At first, Paid2Play is an online platform that enables users to earn rewards, cryptocurrencies such as Dogecoin, and real money payouts through popular payment channels like PayPal or American bank transfers like Wells Fargo and Chase Bank. It was started in the early Fall 2023. The website asserts its legitimacy, as stated on their official web page and social media accounts. According to their website, the said platform offers various virtual activities, including paid online surveys, clicking shady & phishing advertisements, participating in contests for selected users, and referring friends upon signing up for the first time.

Today, some of their users have had successful experiences with Paid2Play, when worldwide reports came in from our research and data analyses resources team of OneNETnews, indicate a series of red flags that raise concerns regarding the skeptic platform's legitimacy. These alarming signals include claims of potential website scams, fraudulent activities, click farming, misleading promotions, fake referrals, engagement manipulation through the same Internet Service Provider (ISP), and insufficient trust requirements to guaranteeing user's safety.
(CONTRIBUTED FILE PHOTO via FB and Paid2Play website)
Many users, particularly in the Philippines, have reported successful payouts using PayPal as demonstrated by a series of contributed screenshot photos, which later expanded globally. As these Filipino users and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), appeared to have received funds through the online platform, it suggests that Paid2Play is a legitimate avenue for earning money for at least some participants nationwide and worldwide, including right here in Central Visayas and Negros Oriental.
Business expert officials said that it is important to be cautious and critically analyze opportunities involving transactions and money exchange, between the United States of America (U.S.A.) and the Philippines.
In line with this advice, we examined various testimonials, analyzed the proof section on the Paid2Play website, and scrutinized videos and posts on social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube (which were both owned by Meta Platforms Inc. and Alphabet Inc. for Google).

Several testimonials and screenshots demonstrate successful payouts, others paint a different picture. Furthermore, some screenshots indicate potential click farming activities, with users claiming to have received rewards for minimal effort or engagement. Independent scrutiny is vital to better understand the trustworthiness of Paid2Play and to prevent falling victim to potential scammer and fraudulent platform to go out of business within a few years or more by seriously abusing its own system.
As we furtherly conducted its independent fact-checks from our investigative news team of OneNETnews, they are working closely to verify the legitimacy of Paid2Play's real money payouts, with the help of digitally integrated, international regulatory and our media partners of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Tegna Inc.

Our news producer of OneNETnews (Jon Michael Calimpong) reveals the official and final payouts to be sent out through PayPal (which is locally regulated by the BSP and licensed internationally by the Monetary Authority of Singapore [MAS]).
If you look closely from its cash out listing of records, everything is all being determined so far when it comes to take surveys, downloadable shady & legitimate local apps for the next 30 seconds and participating medium or harder tasks to secure bonuses with a top dollar. Overall, payments are legally multiplied to 2x after the 2-week period from the actual amounts.
Theoretically speaking, since Paid2Play Limited is from the United States of America (U.S.A.), we can independently estimate our final total for the past few months in late-October 2023. The total cash out on PayPal to be sent sometime before the New Year's Eve on or before December 31st, 2023 is worth U$D1,919.90 (approximately PHP106,420.06). Keep in mind that these estimated cash out in local currencies as an example may fluctuate and need continuous approval from the Paid2Play's financial management and staff.

Not all of them online are to be facing trust issues that lack transparency in its privatized or limited operations from the source, and lots of requirements to distract and waste more time, making it harder or disrupting transactions of this said platform. We try to contact Paid2Play on OneNETnews for their potential statement response to all of these concerns via E-Mail or by Telegram messenger, they have yet to specifically comment to address these highlighted issues at the time of this writing.
(STOCK PHOTO COURTESY: Google Images)
Through an investigation into the legitimacy of 'Paid2Play', we have uncovered a mix of positive and negative experiences themselves. Although some worldwide reports and claims raise concerns about potential scams and fraudulent activities associated with Paid2Play, successful payouts documented by Filipino users indicate that the platform may indeed be legitimate for certain users and participants.
To make an informed decision, it is essential for users to exercise caution to yourself, and thoroughly research any platform that claims to offer monetary rewards to avoid falling victim to potential scams or misleading situations by mistake, before investing time or money in any online endeavor. While showing some signs of legitimacy, should be approached with caution until these concerns are effectively addressed and clarified by the platform's operators.
As with any online venture, the adage "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is" should remain top of mind for individuals considering participation on Paid2Play.

THIS JUST IN: Jollibee's Fried Spring Rolls no longer serves its food menu item nationwide, leaving Filipino customers disheartened [#OneNETnewsEXCLUSIVE]
PASIG, NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION -- Jollibee, the renowned Filipino fast-food chain in the Philippines, made heartbreaking announcement that they would be permanently phasing out their beloved menu item, the Fried Spring Rolls or so-called "Lumpia Shanghai", across the entire archipelago nation. This decision, which took effect as final last Friday on September 22nd, 2023 (Manila local time) -- which were immediately saddened countless Jollibee enthusiasts and left them longing for a taste of this classic dish.
Lumpia Shanghai had a previous history of its own before being introduced to Jollibee. Origins of this Chinese dish can be traced way back to Shanghai, China. This commonly referred to as Fried Spring Rolls, and was been a staple in Filipino cuisine for some generations until now.
It can be served as an appetizer or a snack upon dining in or take-out, these crispy and delicious treats have become Filipinos' favorite for their flavorful fillings across the country. During the early days of Chinese immigration, Lumpia Shanghai was introduced to the Philippines, where it was completely modified and became an integral part of Filipino cuisine and culture.
Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), known for its diverse menu of Filipino favorites, had initially introduced Lumpia Shanghai to Jollibee's menu as a response to the increasing and popular demand for this iconic dish. For years, Jollibee patrons turned to the fast-food chain to satisfy their cravings for the delectable Fried Spring Rolls.
(SCREENGRAB COURTESY: Rhayniel Saldasal Calimpong via FB Messenger)
But sadly, they have bid farewell to this beloved food item effective immediately: "We’re happy that people have enjoyed eating our Shanghai as much as we’ve enjoyed serving it to our loyal Jollibee customers, and we’d like to extend our sincerest appreciation for all the support. Unfortunately, our Shanghai is no longer available in our stores", as one local statement from JFC. Although, Jollibee decided to permanently phase out Lumpia Shanghai as fans need not despair.

To keep the spirit of this iconic dish alive, there are many alternative options to enjoy its flavors. A simple solution would be to try making Lumpia Shanghai at home, using readily available recipes and ingredients which can be found elsewhere online and physically in book stores as cookbooks. With a little effort and creativity, Filipino relatives, elderlies and families can recreate the satisfaction of biting into a homemade Lumpia Shanghai which isn't much related to trade secrets into another disclosed cafeteria or a fast food chain company.
While Jollibee's decision to delist or removing Lumpia Shanghai from its menu is undoubtedly disappointing, it opens up opportunities for other local food establishments to seize the opportunity and fill the void left by this absolute loss.
In the meantime, fans can channel their culinary skills and satisfy their cravings with homemade Lumpia Shanghai, keeping the memory of this iconic Filipino dish alive.
