UFS prompt: Danny and wes are cosplaying xfiles dudes and keep fighting over who gets to be who.

“What do you mean, of course you’ll be Mulder?” Wes cried. “He was made for me. I wouldn’t be surprised if David Duchovony researched me for the role!”

Danny gave a wide shark-like smile that sent shivers down to Wes’s groin. “But Wes, cosplay is about being someone you aren’t. Besides,” Danny said, looking at Wes with an intense hunger, “there are few things I want more than to see your legs in one of Scully’s skirts.”

Wes could feel his heart hammering against his chest. Unable to trust that he could speak, he licked his lips and simply nodded.

Danny was falsely arrested. How dare the store. He may look homeless being on the run from his parents and all.

But really.

All he did was stuff the item in his pocket so he could help someone grab an item.

They didn’t even give him the chance to explain. He had the money. Sam insisted on giving him cash before he ran.

When they took his fingerprints he really didn’t mind. He was running from his parents not the government. As soon as he was left alone he’d high tail it out of Gotham.

To bad he wouldn’t be left alone. Being Bruce Wayne’s kidnapped son was not on his bingo card.

Now Bruce Wayne billionaire had never expected to have his son be found. Never for him to be found stealing food and obviously homeless.

In 2011 I drastically reduced my DWJ book intake to dripfeed levels, so it was only in the 2024 new year that I finally decided to read Deep Secret. My god - out of all her books this seems targeted at me personally? Stressed late-20-somethings, making fools of oneself in vicinity of fav authors, artist alleys?? Also, blatant unmistakable LGBT-rep??? I can't believe I slept on this one for so long!!! Definitely putting it on the upper tiers of my DWJ bookshelf.

Anyway, here's some designs I've whipped up for the characters! As always, might tweak 'em if ever I draw more in the future, but that's what's fun about figuring out character designs. Rob in particular is a joy to me.

Yeah it’s cool and all that Lyanna Mormont and Wylla Manderly are such vocal Stark loyalists. But it’s actually quite important that they share names with two of the most important women in Jon Snow’s life: Lyanna Stark - his mother, and Wylla - his wetnurse and rumored mother in universe. Such stunning loyalty from these two girls who are named after women so important to Jon just tickles all the key parts of my brain. These are the women who gave him life. And it’s even more poignant when we realize that by ADWD, when the girls are declaring their loyalty, Jon is the KiTN who bears the name STARK per Robb’s decree.

First ever time playing Detroit: Become Human. I informed myself abt the story a bit before going into it and I'm firmly on the Deviant Conner & Best Ending path.

Anyway, imagine a fic where the Hank from post the Best Ending somehow time travels back to the start of the game ? Only this time it's not a Deviant but a Machine Connor run.

Or maybe Hank sets off some butterfly effect or whatever causing a Machine Connor run.

Either way, doesn't matter.

What does matter is Hank desperately trying to figure out not only why he ended up in the past, but also why Connor is acting like he's an actual unfeeling android now.

I mean- normally Hank's and Connor's relationship is already bad enought in a Machine run. Now imagine all that but with the added baggage of Hank knowing Connor as an actual living being instead as an android, and still watching him do everything he does.

Instead of shooting him in that one scene at the park Hank just- breaks down. Hugs Connor and all that stuff, damn near begging him to wake up. To be alive again. Obviously this doesn't go well.

At this point everyone assumes that Hank's grown senile. Emotionally devestated to the point of grasping at straws- or in his case an emotionless android just doing his missions.

The lieutenant resolves to the only option he still sees. Using his knowlege of the future to sabotage Connor's investigations while trying to locate Markus in hopes of him being able to return his Connor to him.

This idea may or may not have been inspired by this image on pintrest.

My "conspiracy theory" for Henry I. and Empress Matilda is the same for Aemon and Rhaenys: both fathers intended to adopt their grandsons as heirs.

Hey, you know who was the most influential unnamed person in the whole Silmarillion?

That guy that took Silmaril to Dior* after Luthien and Beren’s death.

He had the Silmaril. He could do anything with it - run with it, eat it, take it outside the Girdle...

How do we know that Silmaril was meant to go to Dior* and not, say, Sons of Feanor?

*Edit: In a totally unexpected (...yeah) turn of events, I actually remembered this wrong! After Luthien and Beren’s death The Guy took the Nauglamir (?) with Silmaril in it to Doriath to give it to DIOR, not Thingol. Thingol was dead at that point. Thanks to everyone for pointing it out! (not changing the tags, let them be a reminder for me to read Silmarillion again)
