(quick warning: there's a little bit of hypnotic language in this one! it's not really on purpose, but proofreading through it i thought "yeah this would probably get me on a fuzzy day", so i figured i'd offer a warning to be safe)

confusion inductions combine so much of what i adore about hypnokink. easy to do covertly? check. lots of dumbing down and feeling silly? check. a general sense of helplessness and loss of control? mega check
imagine you're just going about a conversation as ever, and you start to lose track of what's going on, right? not wanting to be impolite, you resort to the backup plan- you know, smiling and nodding, pretending you know what's happening. but as they keep talking and you keep trying to hook back into the flow of information, you just keep sliding off... you're not really sure what they're talking about, and you can't seem to get a foothold on what it could even be. before you know it, your shoulders slacken and your gaze unfocuses juuust a little bit, your mind is swirling with so much liquid thought that it would be so nice to just
shut it off
and all of a sudden, with just a snap or a word, it does shut off! and you're left open, obedient, and suggestible
another thing that always slaughters me is when doms talk down to you during a confusion induction... "awh, you can't keep track? is that little mind of yours not quick enough to keep up?" like, of course it's always fun to be degraded, but it's even more than that! there's a hypnotic purpose to that kind of degradation- it deepends that feeling of utter powerlessness, and reinforces the sense that maybe they know better, maybe they should be in control.
confusion inductions are one of the absolute hardest sorts of inductions to weave, they're constantly walking a tightrope between being genuinely meaningless and being too comprehensible, but when that tightrope gets walked, good lord are the results undeniable

Had a really amazing session last week that I wanted to share. It was a covert/confusion induction that I did on my subject. Thankfully they were exhausted after a stressful week because it made it much easier for them to go under and ignore some of the oddities involved with my induction.
I started by asking them to help me with some of my college work. I gave them a somewhat complicated formula I "needed" them to work through while I explained my "classwork" to them. So as they were working with some strange and annoying numbers I started explaining some nonsense with a lot of buzzwords to at least make it sound somewhat believable. After a few minutes they reached the end of the numbers I asked them to work with so I asked them to just keep doing it for me while I explained because I had missed a few. After the third repetition they were so confused about everything that was being thrown at them that I was able to start slipping in some trancey buzzwords. I praised them for being such a good listener and giving me all of their attention and for doing everything I had asked of them. Eventually I started snapping whenever I'd use these buzzwords to really drive the point home. That's when they started to catch on to what was happening, but by then they had already started dropping.
This trance was really fun but very heavy handed. I feel like the stars aligned for this to go off, but because it did, my subject went so deep for me and we both had such a great time.
For anyone interested, here is a small exert from that trance to give an idea of how it sounded:
Thank you so much for working that formula for me. It's gonna be really important for my project. I really need those numbers to fill out my matrix which will go into my database into my function into an algorithm into a file then I'll print it out to kind of finish out the whole thing. But then once I have that, I have to start the whole process over again by putting those numbers in a matrix into a table into the dataset into another function which ignores the algorithm all together but gets put in the same file so I can print it. However, I need the print function to differentiate between the two. Are you getting all this? It's really important you pay attention to me right now. I might forget some of this stuff so I'll need you to be able to repeat it back to me. You're so good at paying attention. Thank you. You're doing so good for me. I really appreciate how well you're focusing snap on me, paying attention to me snap, following along with everything I'm saying. It's really helpful.

What if Alejandro asked Noah if Alejandro could hypnotize him, Noah said this to Alejandro: "Nope. I don't believe in hypnosis, but I've been wrong before. If I'm wrong about hypnosis, you'd probably make me do something embarrassing or act like an animal. I'd rather not be your puppet, Alejandro. Being in this show is embarrassing enough." 😒
...Then he wouldn't be hypnotised?
A pretty defining factor of my fic, for context, is that Noah's the one who practically volunteered himself to the hypnosis in the first place; the whole plot stems from Noah being punished for his hubris a lá Alejandro's twisted morals. The only reason he ends up hypnotised in the first place is because he's the one who initially suggests it, not the other way around.
Just because Alejandro's willing to abuse the situation he's been handed on a silver platter, it doesn't mean he'd go out of his way to trick Noah into agreeing to hypnosis. At his core, Alejandro's an opportunistic villain; he plots and schemes, sure, but only after he's spotted a 'weak spot' to take advantage of first. The only girls he flirts with in canon are the ones who reciprocate his flirtatious advances (Bridgette, Leshawna, debatably Courtney), he only goes out of his way to eliminate someone after they've proven themselves a nuisance/hindrance to his strategy (Harold, DJ, Owen, Duncan), and all of the other 'villainous' actions he does are chances he seizes in the moment (eavesdropping on the Ripper in London, finding the computer room and photoshopping Heather and Cody sleeping together in Drumheller, ect).
In this case, there is no weak spot.
So if Noah just flat out refused to be hypnotised after Alejandro offered the idea? Alejandro would begrudgingly accept it. It'd be a lost opportunity for him, sure, but he has more than enough power in the game to make up for his lack of one (1) lazy genius being held under his thumb.
I don't know what else you were expecting from this scenario?

Timeline
Age 0:
Borns the only son to Shigure Fuyugami and Nadeshiko Fuyugami
His mother passed away not so long after giving birth to him.
For some untold reason, his father sent him to be in custody of his mother’s household “the Minazuki” in Kyoto.
A crack subtly forms between the Fuyugami and Minazuki families.
Age 1:
Takes interest in the books (even can’t fully read them yet) and numerous things at his uncle’s house.
Age 3:
Learns various things on his own by simply observing the adult, including writing and reading. Many said he learns quicker than other kids his age.
Age 5:
Discovers Karuta cards. Begins dueling with his uncle who eagerly teaches him how to play the competitive karuta. This game both sharpens his memory and reflexes to the new level.
Someone claiming to be sent by his biological father starts showing up at the Minazuki household.
Soon becomes close to that person in due time, learning he is his father’s confidant named “Chishio”.
Age 10:
Receives an invitation to return to the main house in Tokyo, but just returns there to find his father has already remarried to the first daughter of jewelry trading company.
Meets the three daughters of his new stepmother. Doesn’t get along with most of them
Age 12:
Is approached by many but ends up deciding to befriend none because he knows they are only after his family’s fame or just because their parents told them to do so.
Develops a skeptical attitude, isolating himself to the school’s library for most of the time.
Age 16:
Tries to be more open when assigned to group work but later loops back to his skeptical self again after his credit got stolen by those said ‘friends’.
Declares he doesn’t need friends to enjoy school life.
Finds the middle one of his half-sisters, Shion, struggling with her studies.
On the spur of moment, he spares his free time to tutor her whenever they meet. That’s how he notices her passion in technology and tells her to give it a shot aiming higher for the national competition.
Age 17:
Graduates high school with the highest honors.
Hesitates between attending medical or engineering for university but then finds out the elders in his family have already enrolled him in economics without asking his opinion.
After fuming about that for a while, he decides to go along just because it’s something he has yet to master.
His relationships with those in his father’s family become even more strained.
Age 18:
Dedicating his time to studying the basics of trading, he soon strategizes to tackle the real thing with some advice from his father.
Age 21:
Works as his father’s assistant and sturdily gains repute from both of his keen acumen and vision.
Suisen, the oldest one of his half-sisters, acts more hostile toward him.
Age 24:
Comes to assist his father at social gatherings on occasions; there he has met various celebrities from the business world in person.
Can’t help but fix up the financial loss of the branch company where Suisen works in.
Suisen uses the opportunity that he isn’t much of a party person attending the gala and soirée on his behalf to bad-mouth or even spread false rumors about him.
Calls off every attempt the family wants to pair him up with anyone via engagement.
It’s not like he doesn’t know about what his half-sister did behind his back. He just has too many things to handle other than dealing with her nonsense.
Age 25:
His father promotes him to be his second in command, fanning more fire to Suisen’s jealousy.
Escapes his first assassination thanks to Chishio.
Age 28:
His father died from a crashed helicopter caused by a mechanical failure and heavy snowfall.
His father’s Will is probated.
Suisen accuses him for scheming their father’s death after learning most of his fortune is going to be inherited by him.
Hires and works with Hitoya Amaguni to prove his innocence.
Is against the idea to join hands in some “business” with the Party of Words, resulting in his serious argument with the majority of board directors.
Suisen is nominated to be the new CEO instead of him.
Age 29:
Although he and Hitoya win the case, none of the board directors wants to change their minds.
Resigns himself from the company after Suisen’s promotion, refusing to work under her.
He and Chishio then move into his late mother’s house (The Ajisai Residence) in Nara
Resumes trading as an individual.
Pays the visit at his uncle’s household in Kyoto more often.
Because of pure boredom and curiosity, he takes interest in the “Σummer sign” incident which occurred in his new house’s neighborhood one year ago.
Age 30:
Helps his uncle advise the collectors on evaluating the art pieces, eventually he gets a license and it becomes his other side job.
Age 31:
Present
Comes across the delivery boy named Yuuya who somehow manages to get the mysterious package safely sent to him.
Finds out what’s contained inside with a letter demanding him to join the Division Rap Battles.
Seems to pay no care at their threat at first but for some reason; he later decides to have his participation alongside Yuuya Kanata and Asahi Tomoharu as the 3rd member of Nara Division “Miraitabi”.
