Currently low key obsessed with Cocaine Bear.
Like it’s just how the characters in the story act with the knowledge of a bear hopped up on cocaine. Almost everyone is like “oh shit that’s awful but we can handle it!” And no one is prepared for just how fucked up this bear is.
Anyway I was sad when the cop who gave the cocaine bear more cocaine died. I liked him. His wittle fancy dog and him were so cute!

We got some long awaited stuff this week
my copies of M3GAN, The Black Phone and
Cocaine Bear all on 4K! I was so happy to
get them I waited and waited and I didn't run
out and get the standard Blu-Rays like everyone
else did I was like "No 4K, No buy" and I was
tempted a few times especially with the The Black Phone
I waited for that the longest! like over
a year for that to come out on 4K
but I was so happy to finally get all 3 of them.
Now if Barbarian was released on 4K
then we would be all set for sure!

Cocaine Bear (2023) 8/10
After a drug smuggler's route drops packages of cocaine across the country, residents and dealers alike must band together to stop the bear that ingested the drugs, and prevent an all out rampage.
This movie is very funny, despite how scary the title seems. There's several gags that are hilarious and some that shouldn't be funny, but are. And it's stupidly funny, but you can't help but laugh sometimes during this.
The cast is cool, with O'Shea Jackson Jr. and Ray Liotta, to name a few. This is Liotta's last movie role before his death, and I think he did a good job here with his character. (Rest in peace)
The storyline is straightforward, if the title isn't obvious enough. Really, it's a story about survival, and friendship, and what's really worth it: your life or drugs? This movie is also based off a true story, shockingly enough, and the real cocaine Bear is taxidermied in Lexington, Kentucky.
I would recommend this if you want to watch a movie without thinking too much. It has action, horror, humor, and a bit of gore.

Cocaine Bear
Director: Elizabeth Banks
Starring: Keri Russell, Ray Liotta, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Alden Ehrenreich, Margo Martindale, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Aaron Holliday
Release Date: February 24, 2023
My Rating: 8/10 (great for what it’s supposed to be)
My Review (NO SPOILERS (except for if any animals die)):
This movie was just fun. Whatever you think Cocain Bear is going to be like? That’s it. A gory thrillride. Like Jaws, but without the heavy drama and also it’s on land. If you’re like me, you actually might find yourself cheering for the bear.
For me, personally, it was a little too gory. But I’m also just pretty squeamish when it comes to that kind of stuff so maybe don’t take my word for it? But there’s a lot of blood, brain matter, and severed limbs.
I loved that it was set in the mid 80s. That made for great fashion and great music. The entire cast was great - even the kids were hilarious. If anything, I wish there was a bit more plot because the characters were pretty interesting and the actors were all so great. But it’s a man versus bear movie, and so that doesn’t leave a ton of room for exposition nor does it need it.
No animals die - THANK GOD. I wouldn’t have been able to handle any of the animals dying, and thankfully none of them do. Not only was I was rooting for the bear, but she was also very cute and I just kind of wanted to cuddle her.
If you saw the preview and thought “that looks kinda fun”. It is. Go see it. It’s jsut what you’re expecting and it’s fun fun fun.
