Bio on my second Tron OC (1982/Encom Grid), Val!!

Designation: Program (Encom Grid) Name: Val (Short for "Vending/Retail All-In-One Logistics", also a play on the name Valerie) Username: Her User is Tiffany (aka Tiff) Pronouns: she/her Age: (Complied sometime in the early 80s) Occupation: Retail Database Management, retail music play tracking.

Height: 5'7" / 171cm

Build: Average build, Slightly above average fat to muscle mass Hair: When she's not wearing a helmet: dark shade of gray (since it's the Encom grid), bangs, hair held in a high off-center ponytail by a circuit covered scrunchie. Eye color: dark gray Light line color: hot pink (like, OBVIOUSLY!) Appearance: Body-wise, Val shares the exact same appearance as Tiffany: Average, more on the curvy side. In most Games, she'll wear the typical warrior helmet, but outside of that (or in games that aren't as dangerous), she'll wear her hair out with a circuit-covered headband covering her forehead. Her outfit: A full-body grid suit, similar to most of the typical program outfits, except a lot more "thin" and with not too many circuitry patterns. Near the neckline, there's a circuit with a shape in the middle that gives off the impression of a necklace. Right above her knees, she has a circuit pattern that looks like a chevron. Over that, she wears a high-cut aerobics style leotard that has a bit more complex circuit patterns all along the length of the front. On the back, there are a few more patterns (including circular ring-like paths on each side contouring…umm… the butt shape). Over that, she has the typical warrior belt. On top, she wears an off-shoulder crop top made of a similar fabric to the warrior togas/loincloths. She also wears wrist gauntlets similar to Clu1, along with form-fitting gloves on her hands. On occasion, she will wear neon glowing "jelly bracelet"-like…bracelets that hang somewhat loose from the wrist guards (they're loose but they don't fall, almost like the bracelets are magnetic to the wrist guards. She has legwarmers similar to Yori, with a broad horizonal circuit stripe that encircles near the top of it. Her "shoes" under that look similar to a basic, digital version of Reebok high-tops, with no lacing. About: Val was compiled in Encom's mainframe, in a sector used for projects and more consumer-friendly programs. She was originally written to track retail clothing sales, which she thinks is like "so, TOTALLY cool to see trends and top sellers!" Over time, she gained new tasks from her user, including music jukebox play tallies, and even as a scheduling utility for aerobics classes. She befriended Clu1 from a chance encounter (he explained to her that his user Flynn was trying to fix some overcharges on some shirts.) She would occasionally accompany him in his tank on his many (not-so-legal) adventures to please Clu's user….. …and also because Val was TOTALLY hooking up with him constantly.

Personality: Val has the spirit of Tiffany embedded in her, and of course, that means she's an 80's valley girl at heart. She is high-energy, with a heavy valspeak accent (which translates into the system as program/grid twists on a few different sayings). She's always eager to meet new programs and recruit them into her friend circle. When she (or her friends) are intimidatedor threatened, she can become a ruthless Mean Girl (RIP to all the red warrior elites that crossed her path the wrong way). Sometimes her passions get the best of her, and she can get easily annoyed when things don't end up the way she had originally calculated. Despite being written for retail and basic music data maintenance, she LOVES the games (when they're safe for everyone). She's also got a lustful side like Tiff that tends to make her a little too mischeivous at times.

Dyson and Clu1 pull a sneaky trick on Clu2.

Two Programs waited quietly outside the room of the Luminary of the Grid. The Program with red circuits had quietly dismissed the two Black Guards that were guarding the entrance while the other Program with circuits of gold waited silently behind the other.

"We have to be quiet. It may seem like Clu2 is a deep sleeper, but he is not. Also, you may not be able to do it, but try and dim your circuits." Dyson said to Clu1 as they waited for the guards to walk around the corner and out of sight. The bright red of Dyson’s circuity softened to a dim glow, as Clu1 tried but generally failed at quieting the brightness of his own circuits.

Dyson was glad to see that Clu1 had changed his suit, though it had covered up most of his circuitry. “If he wakes up, will he know it is us?” Clu1 asked, keeping his voice down. “More than likely. If he wakes up, get out. I will try and calm him.” Dyson replied with a smirk as he handed the other Program a stylus.

Dyson reached his hand up to the edge of the door, and slowly slid it open. A thin band of light fell across the floor as he held the door open for Clu1 to slip through. Closing the door silently, the two Programs were instantly plunged into darkness. The Black Guard put his hand on Clu1’s shoulder knowing that it would take him longer for his eyes to adjust to the darkness.

On the far end of the room another Program lay on his bed, his gold circuits dimmed and pulsing softly. Deep in his sleep cycle, Clu2 would hopefully never see the two of them coming. Dyson grabbed Clu1’s hand and led him silently over to the bed, making almost no sound except for their soft breathing.

The two of them paused for a moment to let their tension settle. Dyson watched Clu2’s face to see if he was waking, but the other Program had just started his sleep cycle and would not be waking for some time. Taking his hand out of Clu1’s, he took out his own stylus and shook it gently. The pen started to glow a bright red as Dyson shook it, just like one of the Users ‘glow sticks’. Clu1 did the same, except his pen was the same gold of his circuits.

The now bright glow from their pens illuminated their faces. Dyson’s face was mischievous while Clu1’s was worried, but slowly changed to silent glee as he realized what they were going to do.

It was Dyson who made the first move, and the most cliched move it was. On the side of Clu2’s face he softly drew a rather phallic image, with the end of the image ending at the Program’s mouth. Clu1 joined in drawing a mustache on his descendant’s upper lip, along with hearts and scribbles all over Clu2’s face and exposed chest and arms. The both of them stifled bursts of laughter, occasionally letting out a snort which would cause the both of them to freeze and see if their victim would wake.

When they were almost finished with their prank; Clu2 stirred in his sleep cycle, turning over onto his back. Clu1 and Dyson froze. Clu1 looked to Dyson as Dyson looked to Clu2. The Guard suddenly noticed that his Luminary was waking, the gold circuit’s pulsing growing slower and slower.

Dropping his pen, he grabbed Clu1’s hand and quickly pulled the other Program out of the room, not bothering with stealth anymore. After running from the room, and down the hallway, they broke apart. Breathless and laughing like maniacs, they waited for the Luminary to fully wake.

AU where everyone plays the following band instruments:

Tron plays the French horn. They require a strong ear and strong breath, and sound super heroic.

Yori plays the flute. Though usually underestimated, they require tons of air power.

Flynn is a saxophonist. Loyal but a bit overbearing and obnoxious sometimes.

Alan plays the bassoon. Between his long fingers, strong ear, and mile long stubbornness, he'd be a perfect fit.

Lora is second chair clarinet but is catching up with principal fast.

Clu1 plays percussion. Idk, I think he would like it.

Clu2 is an oboe player. Nearly every oboe player I have ever met is an extreme perfectionist, which is kinda required to keep the instrument from sounding like a goose.

Ram would have fun on the trombone.

Sark plays the euphonium, thinking he was big and bad but has nothing on the tuba.

Dillinger seems like a flute player to me, but like...a toxic one.

Gibbs is principal clarinet. He takes Lora under his wing, even if ge can be a little overbearing.

Dumont would be a tuba played because he is powerful.

Sam Flynn would probably like the trumpet or percussion.

Quorra would definitely like percussion.

Beck started off on Saxophone, but decided to change and is now taking French horn lessons from Tron.

Zed is a clarinet player, but not one of the top chairs. He tries, though.

Mara is the bass trombone player. She's one of a kind and has the strength to get out those low notes.

Able is the principal percussionist, and keeps the rag tag team of percussionists under control.

Paige is that one musical prodigy. Every band has at least one. She grew up playing the piano and violin, but she loves playing the trumpet.

Pavel is also a trumpet player (derogatory).

Tesler plays the tuba.

Dyson plays the Saxophone. He's the sneaky little snitch.

Cyrus got kicked out of band for harassing other students.

i LOVE when fics/fanart/fancomics portray clu2 as kevin’s evil son. it’s so funny to me. especially when they include sam and clu1 in it too so it’s like “hello i’m kevin flynn and this is my son sam, my son clu, and my other son clu (evil)”

CLU1: what is a New Year's Resolution? Is there a New Year's Deresolution? KEVIN FLYNN: yeah that happens within a couple months after you make the New Year's Resolution. those things don't last long

Clu's circuitry is love. Love the color, love the Design. In both movies. (Also uprising I guess but Clu's in it in like 5 shots or so)
