Honestly though saying (or implying) that vocaloid or vocal synths in general "devalues the human voice" is SUCH an incredibly shit take for SO many reasons.
Like yeah Saki Fujita getting so many other roles in voice acting because of her contribution to Hatsune Miku (the anime cameos and stuff are usually done with her original voice, them modified to be robotic) is a bit of an outlier when most other vocaloid and sythns don't have that influence.
You can even sort of wave off the dozens upon dozens of people who go for realistic tuning- like whenever a synth has any sort of clarity, there are like five people commenting about how real they sound. Clearly people do still care about human sounding vocals, because they go nuts over realistic vtuning.
There are many different aspects of vocaloid that use human voices, too- from Set It Off's duet "Why Do I?", human rap artists using Miku's vocals as background, and the entire CONCEPT of Project Sekai which releases AND COMMISSIONS songs for vocal synths and real people.
But the sheer number of vocaloid producers who use their own vocals as back up (MikitoP, PinoochioP, and I believe Kira off the top of my head), the number of producers who can sing and/or do self covers (again Kira, GIGA, Ayase, Teniwoha, syudou and so many more), and the amount of vocal producers who have gone forward with legit musical careers after working with vocaloid (Kenshi Yonezu, most notably, who did work for years under the alias Hachi)
I mean, hell. There are vocaloid producers who go on to become vocaloid vocals themselves- like nostraightanswer, the vocal provider for DEX, who has made both vocaloid and original songs. Some even duets.
That's not even including creators like JubyPhonic, Rachie, Will Stenson, Lollia, Octavia, Razzy and Co., and SO many other HUMAN cover artists who gained following or honed their skills on none other than vocaloid covers. (And that's just a handful of English Cover artists, not like Sati Akura a Russian cover artist or Ado who has commissioned songs from vocaloid artists)
It's also not including UTAUites who input their own voices to use for covers.

Take your seats folks for the S H O W is about to begin, let the Circus E N T E R T A I N you one and all...
The lanterns suddenly dim, the inside of the Big Top darkens, the only visible light streams in from the centre and barely allows sight of the person either side of the next; even those with enhanced vision struggle to determine what’s in the D A R K N E S S around them. Only driven to attention by the beams that swarm the middle; music roars to life, a mechanical twist of cogs that scratch together like an out of time clock...
It begins. Comes in gentle flushes as magnificent silks erupt from the back entrance, manipulates the shape of a D R A G O N with such magical realism it could be mistaken for R E A L and it moves with such grace, obscured figures beneath the covers of the excessive false manifestation, travels the length of the small arena, breaks the fourth walls to flurry along the pathway between ringside and the first row grandstands. 
A B A N G erupts, a single figure appears, a striped cane between clasped hands as the man stands in dead silence. Almost statue-like to the audience who watch with curious eyes to what is to come. A top hat, tipped downwards, head bowed under it; face hidden by clothing; a ringmaster that commands the room - despite the way he stands dead still. There’s a hum of voices whispering; wondering aloud if this is the man responsible for it all; Khaos in the F L E S H, but it’s quiet, bar the movements of the silk dancers that distract watchful eyes; strange shocks to peripheries. 
And the figure doesn’t move. 
From the rear of the ringmaster, a stream of bodies emerge, extravagant feathered tails; peacocks waving ribbons; they dance - match the calm pace of the dragon that amounts a growing number of hungry eyes. High above, a clatter of metal snaps every head upwards, trapeze artists thrown from bars as the business of the room intensifies. 
Though nothing B E Y O N D what hasn’t been done before, no?
The show remains like that, hold for a few more beats - present, a lion; a typical act that puts its handler close to headless; it’s truly just that; a  C I R C U S.
And the audience begin to grow restless - the immortals hungry for blood; for the promised performances that dragged them there; it becomes obvious in the room too...
The first person stands to leave - and like a trigger, the voice snaps to attention; comes from the centre of the ring:
K H A O S
Am I not E N T E R T A I N I N G you? Is my Circus not to your liking; too M U N D A N E for you to E N J O Y? Pity. 
You can’t say I really didn’t T R Y to be a good host to you all; that I wasn’t K I N D to provide my services. Let me introduce the T R U E awaited K H A O S shall I? 
Thank me later, 
If you’re still alive, of course...
It’s instant. The snap of broken chains; the S C R E A M that tears through the Big Top like a banshee freshly released from a cage; though this is pained; A G O N I S E D in its manner. Something heavy drops from the roof of the Big Top; a body H A N G S almost still. An unrecognisable face is choking on their own blood, iron clasped around their throat, a wish wash of rusted chains tight on the individual; unbreakable. The sight is ghastly, the body mauled by harsh claws, the only indication that under the mass of dried crimson is something alive is the way the spasms of muscle fight to breathe beneath the weight of chains that bind them there.
And for those with impeccable vision and know their ranks; the vampires K N O W that there hangs their O V E R L O R D; strung up for all to see by the circus as thought that is an event. it’s delayed, the hiss of questioning; the way the body writhes to escape the clutches of metal. Khaos isn’t done:
Still here? Why, thank you - have I finally gained your undivided attention? Does the OVERLORD have such an affect on you; don’t they look pretty now? 
The panic is late, the dragon that’s been dancing circles around the ringside ignites; a demon’s fire sparking it to life, catches those in the first row of Grandstand Two and the Ringside - now it truly looks alive; an impossible beast marked to carry death. There’s more screaming. Where Demon Fire lights up the wooden slats of the seating, the ones scorched by flames shriek and howl; cave under burnt wood. 
There’s a S I C K E N I N G sound of bones crunching from above, the trapeze artists suddenly replaced by grotesque creatures; demons in their true forms and human bound skin sheds and drops down below; heavy thumps of guts splattering to the ground to leave mutilated piles; a stench that’s foul comes with it.
The head of the ringmaster jerks upwards, a mask where features should be; pale like a ghost, holeless and with the impression that KHAOS cannot see; that beneath the darkness of the metal cast face there is no potential to witness his own oncoming K A R N A G E. 
Because that comes in the form of something resembling G U N F I R E, certainly sounds similar, the peacock dancers throwing spherical cannisters into the audience; paired with E X P LO S I O N S that shake the room; small metal shards pepper unsuspecting guests and that panic that’s been withheld..
Kicks in...
Everyone grapples to their feet; a free for all of sirvivors that haven’t been singed, bulleted or reduced to ash... some in pieces; limbless and crawling along grasslands... stepped on by careless immortals; stamped on by even less sympathetic monsters...
F I N A L L Y, Khaos adds, The S H O W has begun; I promised you K H A O S... 
HERE IT IS.
The dragon; now fully resembling a magical entity sits below the strung Overlord, coaxes a real awful scream for their voicebox as flames engulf the body, reduce the choking to a gargle untill nothing but a blackened and withered form remains; a S A C R I F I C E to the Circus...
And everyone in the Ringside seating can’t escape it fast enough; a wave of heat expels from the form with enough force to send all off their feet and stumbling to recompose their senses; those still alive; unharmed fighting to get to the exit. 
But it’s gone; the walls of the tent proven impossible to break - knives, guns evaporating on its touch and where the magic binding everyone in the room distracts them, still dodging Khaos’ showman who have intent to make them the G R A N D  D I S P L A Y, begin to crowd and just as a few guests direct their attention to the ringmaster himself.
He vanishes in smoke; that darkness sweeping the room in a flash and suddenly; the harshness of rough wild magic scratches claws at the skin of all within; and when lights return to the chaotic mass of moving bodies... they are no longer in a recognisable big top...
It’s a M A Z E; tracks underneath them, steel and stone walls haphazard and staggering the mass into smaller, unplanned groups that must dare to E S C A P E the new route they’ve been contained in; or at least, T R A P P E D and forced to navigate a dark pit. Khaos’ voice thrums one final twisted introduction:
Welcome to the G H O S T  M A Z E, last one to the exit is M I N E. 
Run quickly sweet creatures, for I like to keep my promises and I want you to see all the R E A L things within these walls that you’ll never have seen before...
Try not to die now will you...
                                     Easier said than done...
                                                            Because I want to look you in the eyes first...
Within the M A Z E 
it is built from nightmares; pulled from vivid thoughts of those confined within its walls and made  R E A L by imagination. The deepest, darkest monstrosities that creature fear lives inside as G H O S T S of the maze, haunting the thick stone and striking pain into those who manifested them. Accompanied by T R A P S that are designed for the strongest of immortals, there’s a sudden need to work as a team; as a unit with the ones who would deem to be unlikely allies
For if you’re left alone with your fears... driven to insanity by them and S T U C K in a loop that your mind can’t free itself from.. well then you better hope you die before Khaos catches you...
NOTE: This is the main conclusion of the Circus De La Khaos event, the final part of 3.5 comes to close the event done, but until then, your characters must survive their darkest of nightmare; face their demons and stare them in the eye whilst they attempt to navigate through a concrete maze with both allies and foe...
Are you going to try risk it alone, leave old enemies behind? Find an unlikely companion? You choose. This part of the event will conclude Monday 3rd August, Midnight. 
Keep in mind, if your character was seated in a detrimental hit zone; they might be nursing some serious injuries too... that’s without ordinary enemies playing fatal parts...

Fandom(s): I have written for FMA:B, ATLA, The Hunger Games, Doctor Who (only RTD era), The Greatest Showman, Agent Carter, the MCU and Child Soldiers Breaking Hearts Animorphs, and I’ve stuck my toe into Stranger Things and Six of Crows. There are more things I’m into but I haven’t written for, but it will take a long time to list them all. :P
Where you post: A03, mostly. Sometimes I cross-post A03 links here on Tumblr, sometimes I write request drabbles directly to Tumblr.
Most popular oneshot: Going off kudos alone -  Until You Stop Hiding, I’ll Hide With You, a fic written back when the MCU fandom still had Found Family aspirations for the Avengers team. Basically, the team rescue Tony and find out that the arc reactor isn’t a stick-on. (This information surprised me, by the way. I didn’t think that it would be my most popular by far.)
By comments alone - Battles After War, my first and (so far!) only ATLA fic. The Fire Nation becomes a democracy, but Zuko goes missing after the election, and the Gaang get their protective badass faces on.
Most popular multichapter fic:  In both kudos and comments: Storge. An alternate POV/mirror fic/fanfic of a fanfic I wrote for a ‘five times plus one’ The Greatest Showman fanfiction that got entirely out of hand. About 20k out of hand. It’s (mostly) Charity’s POV to all the times P.T. was the best circus dad, but to his own detriment.
Favorite story you’ve written so far: I have a strange relationship with my writing, and this answer may change several times before the end of this week. At the time of answering this, though, I think it may be For Whom The Bell Tolls, which is a canon-divergent Hunger Games fic that follows the books exactly except that Peeta can see, talk to, and help ‘pass on’ ghosts. Mediator and ghost stories have been my fave since I was a wee tween girl (any The Mediator or Anna Dressed in Blood fans hollaaaa!) and I love Peeta so much as a character and I’m very interested in this kind of trope/dynamic, where every skill/magic/whatever comes at a very discernable cost. It just worked so well as a concept for The Hunger Games, and the fic pretty much wrote itself, and there isn’t actually much I wish I could change, when I look back at it, which is a great feeling for me.
(Close second place is Mavet, because my boy Jake Berenson still owns so much of my heart, and I still find myself yearning for an extended/better executed/more in-depth version of Elfangor’s Secret.) 
Fic you were nervous to post: Every single one of them, lmao. xD Giftfic especially. Fic of other people’s fanfic/set in other people’s worlds especially especially. What if they don’t like it? What if I mess it up? That will be disastrous, because the reason I’m ficcing their fic is because I love it too much for my heart to contain. Messing up something I love that much is probably what my Boggart would become, tbh. (Does the fear stop my trash producing self? Not in the slightest! Insanity and doing the same thing over and over, and all that.)
(I will say, Battles After War was supposed to be much longer and delve into a lot of things that made me so nervous I took them all out. I’m probably going to add to the taken-out bits and post them as a second chapter, eventually, but it’s taking a lot of motivating self-talk to put it out there, because it deals with politics and what I, personally, feel are areas of Aang’s growth that canon didn’t address well enough and I know how very easily I can be blinded by my own prejudices and do those themes a great disservice, and, also, how that can potentially hurt and anger readers.)
How you choose your titles: If you can figure this out, please let me in on the secret. I always panic because it’s untitled by the time I have to post it and I just... Sometimes songs. Sometimes words from different languages, because I’m a linguistics nerd. Sometimes just the overall theme of the fic. Sometimes the prompt it was based on. Its a luckybag grab journey that I undertake each time.
Do you outline? Oh, yes. Every fic that’s longer than 1k always gets a skeleton written out first. Then I go back and fill in the skeleton. Some places have dialogue already. Others just have ‘they talk about xyz, and he says and then she says’. But I need to have a very clear scaffolding before I can start ‘colouring in’, if you were. And, actually, all the written skeleton stuff is just a writing down of the detailed scenes and things I’ve imagined in my head while doing the dishes or walking to the shops, or something. xD
Complete: I’ve completed 48 fic on A03, so far! Whoo! And a number of drabbles straight to Tumblr.

Coming soon/not yet started: Dear gosh, dear soul, dear help. I have, not including the two mentioned above, six outlines for fic sitting on my computer. 🙃 🙃 🙃 I don’t know when those are actually going to see the light of day. I do know that I’ve signed up for one FMA and one ATLA holiday gift exchange, and those are going to be written, because they’re gifts and have a deadline and I love the holidays more than I am wary about my writing. Plus I’ll have more time. Or, at the very least, not need to be as awake during the day, so I can stay up super late writing. Two of those six are playing in Casey’s and Meagan’s sandboxes, because I have not gotten over my obsession with them or their fic, yet.
Do you accept prompts? I do! As you can see from the above, I have a backlog of fic that makes me weep inside. But, also, 50% of why I write is to get joy through giving other people joy, so I will never be able to close my askbox, I don’t think.

Been thinking a lot about my film MABEL MABEL TIGER TRAINER - in light of the new Netflix doc series #tigerking - I’ve been getting tons of questions and asking if Mabel and the circus people I interviewed were as trashy and f@cked up as the folks in the series - The answer is NO! Mabel trained her cats with love - she did not breed and farm them out - she cared for them - sometimes to her detriment - as did the other people who graciously allowed me to follow them on the circus - the tigers were not kept and led with chains around their neck!!! - They were absolutely loved - Mabel lived in another time and was a groundbreaking woman who was told NO WOMAN COULD TRAIN TIGERS - and she showed them she could and did and did it better than anyone with love and kind was and she never ever blamed them when then attacked her unlike the idiot in the film - Mabel is currently streaming link in bio (at Thousand Oaks, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-hjk71AORG/?igshid=1gc1kuc2wjs81

Reasons why Seb should be a middle child
Obviously this is a bit stereotypical.  Basically its me analysising Seb as a character and why I picked him out as a middle child.  
I separated it out to actions that show he has younger siblings, and actions that show he has older siblings.
Younger siblings
He is responsible.  
He takes the time to learn and adapt.  He learns about how to keep ociel healthy and safe.  He learns how to look out for ociel in the business world (seen when he holds conversations about business with ociel and manages to keep up).  He learns to adapt to human needs and emotions.  He stops any behaviour when he sees its going to be detrimental to the people he cares about.
He is stressed out alot.
Seb can be seen as visibly stressed more than you’d think.  He gets stressed when he has to deal with constant mishaps from the servants.  When Francis gets on his case.  When ociel is in danger (he could just take his soul when he dies naturally or disobey the contract rather than freak and rush him to the doctors).  When rciel comes back.  When they are kicked onto the streets.  You can see him reading tons and tons of books (talks about it too!) trying to figure out the best ways to do things, how to act, etc.
He gets worried.
Ociel, Lizzie, Finny, Sullivan and others are seen to stress Seb out.  He freaks and rushes to their rescue (for some) if he sees them in danger.  He tries to keep them healthy.  He tries to keep them out of trouble.  He tries not to scare them (too much - obviously he scares them when he feels he needs to assert authority, but he tends to hide his powers and avoid using them in front of the babies).
He treats children kindly.
You can see him tuck Finny into bed in one panel (he didn’t need to! - also really cute moment) and lets Lizzie dress him up with minimal resistance.  He humours Sullivan when she gets enthusiastic about things.  He hides ociels burn (again not needed, never ordered, sometimes not even asked - just does it bc it would upset ociel who wants to avoid talking about the cult).
Older Siblings
He doesn’t have many skills.
We can see that in the beginning he has pretty much no skills in the human world.  An older sibling would have more experience and more skills.  This suggests that he hasn’t visited the human world a lot, or had to properly fend for himself/be independant. (weak i know but I like to think it means his older siblings tend to do most of the work)
He’s immature.
Older siblings tend to lose this after a while of looking after younger siblings (stereotype, take with salt) but he makes puns, dirty jokes, and tries to be funny (if only to himself) in inappropriate situations. 
His respect.
This is a little bit weirder.  He highly respects those who have earned it - see Lizzie, Agni, etc.  He easily accepts authority, such as that of a younger sibling to an older one (to an extent).  It shows he’s used to dealing with people who are better than him (Lizzie & Agni are kinder than him) even if he doesn’t always like others to be better.
He’s competitive.
(take with salt, maybe take the whole post with salt - its based on stereotypes) It’s common for people with older siblings to want to be better or as good as them.  Seeing their older siblings with skills that are better and more developed makes them want to rise out of the shadow of their older siblings by achieving more.  Seb goes above and beyond to do this.  Look at the skills he gets over the course of 3 years!
He’s attention seeking.
It’s also common for siblings to be overshadowed by their brothers/sisters and end up with less attention from their parents (middle children specifically).  You can see him try and pull the attention towards him a lot.  The entire circus arc is evidence of this.
Therefore, Seb should be a middle child.  Fight me on this :P

A movement that mobilizes tens of thousands of French people every Saturday for more than 6 months, and which is supported by millions of others.
A movement that demands essential things: a more direct democracy, greater social and fiscal justice, radical measures in the face of the state of ecological emergency.
What they ask, they ask for for everyone. We are the Yellow Vests. We artists, technicians, authors, of all these cultural professions, precarious or not, are absolutely concerned by this historical mobilization.
And we proclaim it here: we are not fooled.
We can see the excessively worn-out strings to discredit the Yellow Vests, described as anti-ecologists, extremists, racists, breakers... The manoeuvre does not catch, this story does not fit the reality even if mainstream media and government spokespersons would like us to believe it.
Like the violence they highlight every Saturday.
Yet the most alarming violence is not there.
The toll of repression is getting worse every week. As of April 19, 2019, there were 1 death, 248 head injuries, 23 eborgneous, 5 hands torn off among the demonstrators. It is unworthy of our republic.
And we are not the first to denounce it: Amnesty International, the League for Human Rights, the UN, the European Union, the Human Rights Defender, all condemn the police violence on the Yellow Vests in France.
The number of injuries, broken lives, arrests and convictions is beyond comprehension. How can we still exercise our right to demonstrate in the face of such repression? There is no justification for setting up a so-called "anti-cracker" legislative arsenal that violates our fundamental freedoms.
We are not fooled. The most threatening violence is economic and social. It is the one of this government that defends the interests of a few to the detriment of all. It is the violence that marks the bodies and minds of those who crash at work to survive.
Then we must - this is a historic emergency - collectively confront the ecological crisis and find just and effective solutions, in order to leave a liveable world for our children.  We are not fooled. This government has consistently backed down on this issue so as not to worry those responsible for the announced disaster. The Yellow Vests denounce him as the environmental activists. Today, the convergence of social and environmental struggles is underway.
We will continue to be outraged, stronger, more often, more often, more together.
And today, we are calling for a new history to be written.
We writers, musicians, producers, editors, publishers, sculptors, photographers, sound and image technicians, scriptwriters, choreographers, designers, painters, circus artists, actors,  producers, dancers, creators of all kinds, are revolted by the repression, manipulation and irresponsibility of this government at such a pivotal moment in our history.
Let us use our power, that of words, speech, music, image, thought, art, to invent a new narrative and support those who have been struggling on the street and at roundabouts for months.
