Reading the Old Testament this year makes Christmas so amazing and anticipatory this year. Like I’ve read from Genesis to Malachi and every prophet has predicted that the Messiah is coming! He’s going to come and save us! He will overthrow death and sin!! When is he coming?!

And then it’s Christmas time and He is here! After years, centuries, of waiting an angel appears to shepherds and says “behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

How wild is that! How wonderful, awesome, amazing, is that?! Christ is here! Finally!! And we get to celebrate that! Because he came and died and rose again and has Won and HAS saved us, just as all the prophets said. The long awaited day has occurred.

Merry Christmas!

We had a very simple Christmas this year. No presents. Just good food. We also got image candy from Lofty Pursuits. It is phenomenal candy. If you ever want to try some it's totally worth the price for it!

We also got sugar free lemon drops made on a 100+ year old candy roller for my dad because he's diabetic and can't enjoy the regular candies in the same way as we can.

I think this peaceful and simple way of celebrating Christmas is my favorite way. We kind of unconsciously emphasize the celebration of the birth of Christ in my family. Which always ends up being what I end up telling my mom was the best part of the holidays.

FULFILMENT OF PROPHECIES

• Jesus came to fulfil prophecies:

Psalm 40:6-8 (NKJV):

6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened.

Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.

7 Then I said, “ BEHOLD, I COME; IN THE SCROLL OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME.

8 I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart."

• The FULFILMENT:

Hebrews 10:5-9 (NKJV):

5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me.

6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure.

7 Then I said, ‘BEHOLD, I HAVE COME—IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME—TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.’ ”

8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law),

23 And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ "
