My question is, who the fuck snitched that Shepard got with Garrus after she and Kaidan broke up ? Which one of them snitched ? She had no communication with anyone so someone had to have snitched or let it slip ? Was it Joker ? Because she has the right to beat their asses because Kaidan couldn’t have found this out by himself. Who the fuck snitched ? I can’t see her telling Anderson about her cross species liaison and she definitely didn’t tell James. So who fucking snitched ?

The mental image of Shepard going up to Wrex after all these years and being like "oh yeah I'm a parent now :) meet my krogan son, isn't he precious?"
And being the most annoying human alive about it. Each single interview afterwards has them hijack the conversation to talk about their son Grunt and how many kills he got last mission. They're so confident and passionate that no one in the whole galaxy dares to ask how did a human birth a krogan.
Anderson immediately summoned Shepard on an emergency to his office, demanding they explain what those interviews were about. But he doesn't care about the fact that Grunt is a krogan. He is just very mad at Shepard for not telling him he's a grandpa sooner. He demands time with his grandson and at least 200 pictures to hang around his office.
Imagine if this Shepard romanced Kaidan or Ashley before and after the break up on Horizon, they turn on a random TV channel to find out their ex, the commander Shepard, has a whole son now.
Ashley's mind is boogled, and she wonders if Grunt is related to her somehow because he definitely has her temper and speech.
Kaidan's heartbroken that you moved on so fast, and how come you didn't name your son after the agreed names you two came up with for your future children?
Meanwhile, Grunt who thinks this is just a human thing and tags along for the ride because funny humans and their weird lives.

Okay, so I'm replaying mass effect and I've started a list of things I stumbled on for the first time. Might be interesting, but it's mostly not taking interrupts.
If you tell Anderson to go to Citadel Control instead of making Udina pay a visit to his dentist, he will actually be caught and get shot, but he is still going to get it done, like the main character he is (what do you mean the story is about Shepard? No it isn't!)
If you don't take the renegade interrupt to headbutt Uvenk on Grunt's loyalty mission, then ask him if he wants to die, Shepard will warn Uvenk that if he keeps talking crap, his "few brains are going to meet the light of day". The Shaman will be impressed and call Shepard (at least femshep) a "human Shiagur", then proceed to shit on Uvenk.
Alternatively, you can investigate, then take a paragon choice to call him the worst insult Shepard can think of: A Citadel politician.
If you take Thane to recruit Jack, when the Warden says "bounty hunters aren't dependable", he'll tell him to "try assassins"
If you ignore Bailey until you get reinstated, he will call you "Spectre Shepard" the first time you talk to him, and you won't get the "scanners think you are dead" conversation.
In the first part of Garrus loyalty mission, when you are talking to the volus, there is a renegade interrupt to shoot the bodyguards, right? If you don't take it, Garrus is going to tell them to leave and... they will. Without a word. While the volus screams for them to come back cause he already paid the guys.
If you go paragon with Elias (the guy who hired Kolyat), then take the last renegade interrupt, his lawyer will show up and tell him to "shut the hell up". Before that, you will also get the chance to rat on Mouse.
Also on Thane's mission, Talid will talk how about he is being observed and how someone is "walking on his grave, or thinking about it". His bodyguard will dismiss him by calling him paranoid.
If you don't take the renegade interrupt to blow up the krogan in Mordin's loyalty mission, you will start to regret it immediately. He will have a LONG speech about what Weyrloc is going to do to the galaxy, like throwing the Citadel in the sun, keeping salarians as slaves and eating their eggs as "a delicacy" (Mordin didn't like it much). The good news is that the interrupt will be there until he is finished talking, so there is no need to actually hear the guy.
If you stick around to hear Charr's whole poem, he will kneel in (one of) the last verses. Just a tiny detail but it was actually adorable.
If I find anything else, I'll let you guys know!

Propaganda
David Anderson helps you steal the ship in-game. Legend
Captain Wentworth's one of Jane Austen’s best written love interests. He is rejected by the woman he loves because her family tells her he isn’t wealthy enough, so he goes off to sea to pine, becomes a captain and gets rich, then goes back and sweeps her off her feet

After defeating Saren...
I'm always amazed by the little time it takes them to assume you're death at the end of ME1.
I mean, they don't even search for you lol.
Anderson: Where's the Commander?
*Your squad looks to the pile of rubble*
Everyone: Okay, let's go.
ehehehehehehehehe

I sometimes imagine my Shep limping in the background as she yells: "Wait for me, you wombats!!!"
Ayyyyyyy... Bah, it's fine. You get to do the *i'm not dead* walk with epic music in the background, which makes Kaidan super happy and proud and that's more than enough for me <3
Tumblr media
But it's still super funny how little they wait for you lol

Shepard giving Anderson a gift during Father's Day and not thinking much of it. Meanwhile, Anderson keeps a stoic face while seeing it, but he's exploding from happiness inside.
He keeps a framed picture of Shepard on his desk and brags about you to anyone who wanders into his office. Be it Elysium or being the first human spectre.
Anderson sending official papers to demand time off for you, so he can take you on a special father's day trip. Or maybe he just frames it as a mandatory on-shore secret mission, just between you, him and poor Joker who is the driver.
Imagine him coming over to fix Shepard's hair, smooth their uniform and wipe any stray ash, blood or gun powder off of your face with his thumb just before we were asked to give an interview or speak in front of people.
He definitely took the whole crew bowling before and framed it as "moral boosting crew activity" when in reality he just wanted an excuse to take you bowling, so this old man can show off to his kid and pass his legacy by teaching you all his tricks.
Kaidan ends up dropping a bowling ball on his foot, twice, while Ashley laughs so much that she ends up actually choking.
You may or may not have pulled a gun out on a poor employee by accident, multiple times. And someone who is definitely not you-because they have no proof you checked the cameras- has shot the remaining standing pins when your throw didn't land a strike.
The trip ends shortly because of the various health hazards these trained soldiers managed to cause in a normal average bowling alley.

My third card for my Mass Effect Tarot series! Anderson as The Emperor—the father figure of the deck.
The Emperor: He is the father figure of the tarot deck. He symbolizes strength, success, leadership, and confidence, and could also mean adopting fatherly roles. The Emperor also represents using power to protect those you care about.

Taking on the Universe: Chapter Sixteen
Chapter Sixteen: The Quarian
Tumblr media
Summary: The Squad races against the clock to save the Quarian.
CW/TW: None
Preview of chapter below the cut. AO3 link: here.
On familiar ground, and far from triggering events, Kaidan found Shepard to be not only a competent leader, but also a compassionate person. Each step forward in their investigation of Saren and his betrayal lead him toward the understanding of how she maintained such a pristine reputation. The pressures and stresses that accompanied them as they followed the trail of clues around the Citadel seemed not to bother her. She took it all in stride.
Even as Garrus had taken an unnecessary risk while saving Dr. Michel from Fist's thugs.
Kaidan watched warily as Garrus helped the doctor to stand up from her hiding place. The last of her attackers had fallen in the brief skirmish that had erupted upon their entry to the clinic. Garrus had put the doctor at risk when he'd shot the man holding her. His actions painted him in a slightly different light for Kaidan. He'd be sure to keep a close eye on him as he seemed to be more impulsive with his actions than any of the soldiers present. Possibly, even more impulsive than the blood-thirsty Krogan mercenary in their midst.
"Dr. Michel, are you hurt? Spirits, we got here as fast as we could." His concern for the doctor was evident, as was his relief for her safety.
The doctor brushed some dust off her white coat and smiled up at the Turian as he towered over her. Her eyes darted toward Shepard, then quickly swept over the rest of the squad as they all drew nearer to her. Her attention returned to Garrus before she spoke. "Yes, I'm quite all right, Garrus. Thank you. I owe each of you for helping me."
"For once it'll be worth the paperwork," Garrus replied with a soft chuckle. He took a small step back from her, as if trying to give her some breathing room after such an intense fight.
Dr. Michel let out a similar laugh as she clasped her hands together in front of her. Shepard stepped forward slowly, reaching toward the doctor's hands with a sympathetic expression. Her movement seemed to take the doctor by surprise, but she didn't protest as the commander took her hands in her own. It was only in this compassionate moment that Kaidan noticed the slight tremor in the doctor's hands.
"I know you've been shaken by this attack, and I want to assure you that the Alliance and C-Sec will do what they can to keep you and your clinic safe until Saren is brought to justice. You won't have to worry about another attempt on your life."
Shepard's voice was low and calm as she spoke. Even he felt comforted by her tone. He wasn't sure how she'd be able to deliver on these promises, but he believed her. Dr. Michel met Shepard's gaze and nodded her head slowly, showing her that she trusted her.
"Now, in the meantime, we need to know why these men attacked you. They were threatening you when we walked in, weren't they?"
"They were Fist's men, I'm sure of it. I should have expected this. I should have known he would want to tie off any loose ends," she answered as she pulled her hands from Shepard's gentle grasp and crossed her arms against her chest protectively. Her gaze wandered to the nearest fallen man, the one Garrus had shot when they'd pushed into the room, and lingered for a long moment before she turned back to face the commander.
"What makes you a loose end?" The doctor paused, taking a deep breath to calm herself. Shepard nodded her head and offered her a gentle smile. "Take your time, Doctor. We're here for you. You're safe."
"There was a young Quarian. She was injured and came to my clinic seeking treatment for her injuries, which I was happy to help with, of course. I knew of Fist's association with the Shadow Broker, so I suggested she go to him with the information she had. I had no idea he would sell her out. I didn't mean to endanger her life," Dr. Michel confessed heavily, her voice breaking as she held back tears. This time she reached for Shepard's hands, finding them easily as she offered her comfort.
"You couldn't have known, Doctor."
"Must be the same Quarian Saren's after. Not like many of them are wandering around, even on the Citadel," Wrex interjected quickly. The commander and the Krogan shared a quick glance between them, the former clearly prompting the latter silently for further explanation. "All I know is she showed up here on the Citadel, on the run. Not sure how she got her hands on it, but she has evidence linking Saren to the Geth. She went to Fist, asked him to set up a meeting with the Shadow Broker. He must've sold her out to Saren instead."
"Which is where you factor in, on your special assignment from the Shadow Broker to take Fist down?" Kaidan mused aloud. Wrex nodded his head in agreement. Kaidan looked toward Shepard, his expression betraying his hope despite the way his eyebrows pulled together in apprehension. "This is what we've been searching for, Commander. If we can get to the Quarian before Saren does, then we've found our proof. There's no way the Council could deny that he's turned traitor after that."
"Only problem is, we don't know where she is," Shepard pointed out dejectedly.
"My bet would be in Fist's club," Wrex suggested.
"Then I guess it's time we paid Fist a visit."
