summary: you share a sweet moment with nick in the photobooth at prom.

a/n: i’ve never written anything nick related before, so i wanted to switch it up a little and give nicolas some love <3. tell me how i did, and feel free to leave constructive criticism!

i waited in line next to the photo booth, fidgeting with my fingers anxiously. it was senior prom, and i didn’t even have a date, so i wasn’t quite sure why i was at the photo booth anyway. memories, i guess.

i was a few couples and friend groups away from being next, when i hear a familiar voice call my name from behind me.

“y/n?”

i turn around, and i’m met with nicolas sturniolo, my crush. he grins widely when he sees my face, and leans in to give me a hug. the hug is quick, but i wish it could’ve lasted longer.

we both share a step back to look at each other’s outfits. nick was wearing a white button down, with black slacks and a velvet red tie. i look at his shoes, and he has black high-top converse on.

“i like that you went with comfortability before style.” i say, pointing to his converse, with a smile. he laughs and pulls up a pant leg to show the full shoe, and his funky socks. his socks were purple with black bats all over them.

“fuck yeah. always.” he replies. a few more people move up in the line, and nicolas and i proceed with our conversation as the line continues along.

“so who are you here with?” i finally ask. nick sighs, and looks at the ground. “nobody. not many openly gay boys here, unfortunately.” he replies with a shrug.

“same.” nick looks up and shares a small smile. we’re next up in the photobooth, and i hold the curtain open so nick can go in before me.

“why, thank you.” he says in a british accent. i bow dramatically in response. “of course, good sir.” i reply, mimicking his accent. he laughs, as i seat myself next to him.

i take an envelope out of my jacket pocket, and hold out a ticket. “how many photos did you pay for?” i ask. nicolas takes a ticket out of his pants pocket, and reads it.

“five.”

“me too! we could uh— we can double them, and each get the same five, if— if you’d like.” i stutter out. he smiles, and takes my ticket out of my hand, inserting them both.

“pick a frame!” the machine speaks to us, loudly, i might add. nick scrolls through the frames on the tiny screen, and stops on the pink frame with hearts all over it, that was titled “Love Burst”.

i nervously look at him, and he clicks on the frame, submitting it into the machine. the countdown starts, and i look at nick in panic for what poses to do.

he chuckles, and turns me around, putting his back against mine. we both cross our arms, and put on serious faces into the camera.

the next countdown starts, and we do the same pose, but this time holding up finger guns, and smiling.

“what pose now?” i question.

nick puts an arm around my shoulder, and takes my arm, putting it around his. he smiles into the camera, but i just look at him. i cant help but look at him.

the next countdown begins, and we don’t even realize it. nick turns his head to stare back at me, and i stare into his blue eyes, as his dark pupils dilate.

the camera makes a click sound that grabs our attention, and we realize that its the last one.

“last one.” nick says, turning back toward me. i nervously trail my eyes down from his eyes to his lips, and he definitely notices. “what pose now?” he asks, with a grin. he leans in closer to me, my eyes still on his lips.

“can i kiss you?”

nicolas nods, and i immediately smash my lips onto his. i feel like i’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life, and i honestly have. i’ve had a crush on nick since i was in the 6th grade, and here i was sharing a kiss with him in the photobooth at our senior prom.

the camera flashes, and i pull away, while a blush coats my cheeks. we step out of the booth, and collect our snapshots.

they looked perfect.

my thing about izaya is that he's so strange and weird and i love that so much. i didn't want to ramble too much in the notes of that poor person's post but i find the way he speaks and the words he chooses so interesting so let me ramble a little bit. this may or may not even be coherent so bear with me here im just going to speak my thoughts.

ok this got really fucking long and all over the 0place so im putting this under a read more sorry.

so i have volume 9 of the novel in both english and japanese. i only have two novels in japanese and that is this one and yuuyake wo. so i'm pretty crazy about this izaya speech analysis shit. anyways i was rereading thru the jp ver the other day just to compare it to the eng and i kinda realized that like.

a lot of people you can separate their speech in either formal and informal speech right? someone like shizuo speaks really informally and uses a lot of rough, dragged-out versions of words and stuff (しゃーねえ vs しょうがない) and then someone like shinra who speaks in a ton of yojijukugo and generally sounds like a nerd emoji gijinka.

izaya on the other hand rly... doesn't fit in either? i mean sure he sounds like another nerd emoji gijinka but it's kinda different. it's not so much the words he speaks but rather the intonation and his tone...

and he has his moments where he speaks pretty seriously and whatnot of course, but in general he just... doesn't sound very human when he speaks? i don't know if that's a conscious effort or not. is it his attempts at distancing himself from his own individual humanity? or is it just because he's a weird guy? i dunno. but it's interesting nonetheless.

one thing i will note though is that despite his somewhat inhuman speech patterns, it's also pretty...dramatic? to the extent where it's really exaggerated but also very cute and charming. (this part is important.)

i think a lot of what makes izaya's speech so weirdly inhuman is because he doesn't really use a lot of slang or similar lingo that people his age would typically use. i know mikado said in the novels that he doesn't really try to fit in with his age group's fashion sense either so it makes sense but still. he's like an old hag it's so funny. and it's because of that that when he says stuff like 'i don't get all hot and heavy over headless women' or whatever he said to celty it's really amusing to me because like... why is the strange man saying this?💀

another example i kinda giggled about on my twitter when i read it it's not even crazy and i sound corny and cheesy and stupid but theres this scene in vol 9 where izaya messages celty for business and hold on let me just put it as a quote.

he sounds so old saying 'video game' like 😭 idk it's just funny cause he barely even knows anything abt games like bro knows nothing im crying

in the jp hes like 「…ゲーム中なのかい？」 and then when celty tries to explain herself he says 「何を言ってるのか、良く解らないんだけど」 and im rly bad at tling parts of sentences and stuff but just know that the way he words it makes it sound like this gif to me

i love both versions i think the original jp makes him sound like hes so lost and confused (hence why pw gif cause lord that man always looks lost LMFAOOOO) and then eng tl just blunt ass "I don't know what you're talking about." makes him sound like full on hag 😭😭😭

OMFG WAIT I HAVE TO MENTION THIS FUCKING SCENE WITH SHINRA ITS SO FUNNY.

first i think it's funny the translation has izaya say fuck here cause he very rarely swears and i did read this one thing about how he only swears when his mask slips so to me this is like genuine bewilderment that he cant even hide LOL. second why is he so excited to hear about 'whatever sexual fetish' shinra has im crying he's so damn nosy . okay but this is not the funniest part let me add that now.

ehy the hell is izaya orihara talking about foot fetishes???😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 im crying bruh i was so flabbergasted when i read this i was like WHAT did he just say? he says it in the jp ver too which just makes it even funnier. this goes back to what i said earlier but i always get so amused when izaya has something to say about sex or whatever cause he's so fucking weird and unsettling why does he know that

(i mean i also get so hard i nearly pass out thinking about izaya tlaking about sex but thats probably just a thing with my heart condition and stuff)

oh also another scene i think is really cute and amusing and funny is back when shinra was first still trying to get izaya to form the bio club w him.

1. shinra is funny as fuck in this scene but also izaya's "Hmm. Can I punch you?" made me havbe a good laugh. in the jp he says 「んー。殴ってもいいのかな？」 which is pretty much the same thing just with the intonation of like 'hmmmmmmmmm should i hit u or not...' sorry like i said im just bad w explaining this stuff. but i felt the need to point it out not cause im one of those annoying ppl who praise the original jp ver and reject translations and localizations i just think it's important for izaya specifically cause i love him and i want to analyze his speech patterns as best as i can.

i was going thru the novel just now for other stuff i wanted to mention and i forgot abt this part but it's so funny.

'Let's not get hasty. Type calmly, please.' its not even funny or nothing i just find it so amusinf whenever he talks like that💀 i will say though the english translation kind of makes him sound more weird and inhuman than the original. that line in the original was basically just him telling her she needs to calm down enough to at least type properly LOL. idk if im just being nitpicky cause this is izaya tho so feel free to ignore that. fwiw i like the eng tl bc while it's a different intonation than the original japanese ver i think if he did speak english it would probably sound smth like that anyways.

this too made me laugh like ??? seriously he is really nosy when it comes to people's intimate affairs. in the jp ver he calls them an 'intimate couple' which just is like .. ok bro💀

does anyone else see my vision of izaya getting cucked by celty (does it count as cucking when celtys the one dating shinra) while he looks sad and pathetic and miserable that he never decided to shoot his shot w shinra back in the day

if i were commenting on the actual stuff going on in this scene rn this post would be a lot olonger and even more terribly all over the place so im just gonna focus on how i think it's funny izaya says 'easy, man...' this is like one of the only times his words are somewhat natural and sound like smth you would hear someone else say. in the jp ver it's 「おいおい…」 which is somewhat less out of left field in terms of coming from izaya but still it's pretty surprisingly normal. i have to wonder if in that moment he's too worried about shinra to care about keeping up appearances.

this is just random and me making fun of izaya as usual but why the hell does he weigh himself after his showers💀💀💀 it's cute and endearing and only adds to his strong gap moe but still... it's strange...

speaking of cute things this is from a volume i forget but he says this one phrase a couple of times and it is just both really cute and also kind of idk... saddening. one of the times i can remember he says it is when namie was making fun of him or something and he replies 'Don't tease me. I'm only human.' or something along those lines and it's like . hm. ok.

i think it's cute he says 'dont tease me' a few times cause eughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (trying to ward off severe brain damaged incoherent thoughts) but 'im only human' is like... are you really? even after you try so hard to escape your own humanity and individual self so much... im going to try and give my thoughts on it here but this is just based off my hc that izaya has bpd so yanno. im basing a lot oif this on my own experiences sorry. i do that a lot. (gestures over to all the posts i make abt fob/mychem fan izaya)

when it comes to just straight up acknowledging his humanity izaya has no problems with this because 'sure, i'm human. isn't that obvious?' is probably something along the lines of what he thinks. it's easy for him to just say that because it's just that. it's just words. it holds no real meaning and shows no true insight into how he actually perceives himself. but when it comes to actually having to come face to face with his own humanity and the fact that yes, he is only human, it's a lot more difficult because now it's out of his control. i wonder also if he has problems with perceiving his own self.

i say this a lot but i truly do believe izaya is so so so beautiful and i love him so much. also i just saw a funny post on twitter so i wanna say this here idk if yall know this but izayas actually a latina hes got chismosavirus❤ ok thats all i have to say sorry for rambling so much

Blessings coming your way

This is my first PAC, so its gonna be a bit short and the pics are not mine. You know what to do, just chose a pic that draws your attention and scroll down.

Pile one-9 of cups , the star, the devil So the main theme here is a wish fulfilment and/or detoxification from something or someone, possibly that has been a burden for some time now. I believe this pile to be dreamers, the people who always see the bright side (or try to) and have a rather optimistic approach to life. bc i cant stop thinking abt vash and tonis’ interactions ^^

idk if i should tag this as modern au or not bc trigun literally takes place in like the year 2500+, normal au i guess ???? LOL

cw also mentions of reader and vash having their own kid, no specific mentions of pregnancy though!!

you pull into the familiar parking lot of the preschool while vash squirms with excitement in the passenger seat. and he has been squirming, practically squealing over it for the past ten minutes.

“why are you so excited, idiot, he’s not even your brother!” you laugh softly as notice vash took off his seat belt even before you could even park the car.

“i dont know!” he admits honestly with a genuine smile on his face as he steps out of the car. “maybe it’s just the fact that we’re doing this instead of studying.” he jokes, looping his arm around yours as you walk to the front of the building.

usually whenever vash visited your place it was before your mother got home and before your little brother finished with school. today was different though: apparently your mother had an extra errand to run and couldn’t pick your brother up. vash, over hearing the entire conversation over the phone, was eager to declare that he would pick him up for her! (of course without telling your mother that it was to get out of studying.)

“‘kay, just don’t make trouble for the teacher.” you say sternly as he walks up ahead. and he’s got this smug, sweet smile on his face as he shrugs while politely swinging the door open for you.

as soon as you step in, it’s so loud. children running around and screaming over toys and games, anything to fill their freetime while they wait for their parents. the teacher catches sight of you almost immediately, completely used to the chaos of the afternoon.

“ah! y/n, there you are!” she drops students’ work of scribbles out of her hands before walking over and wrapping you in a friendly hug. she used to be your preschool teacher as well. “i was wondering when you’d show up,”

“ah, yeah, i got a little caught up with this one,” you sheepishly chuckle, pulling away from the hug to motion to the eager puppy next to you. and before she could even say anything, vash was reaching out.

“hi, i’m vash, y/n’s boyfriend!” and he’s got this warm, welcoming smile as he shakes the teacher’s hand. you could see the way she smiled sweetly back, as if she had known him for years. vash had a way with people. he could brighten up anyone’s day with just a couple words and a few charming smiles. it’s one of the things you admire most about him.

“he’s just tagging alone, trust me, we won’t stay long,” you interrupt with a small laugh, hoping not to add to the chaos already unfolding in the classroom.

“oh, pshh!” the teacher laughs and brings you both in, “it’s fine, stay as long as you want!” she exclaims, mostly to vash when she notices the way he’s already beaming at the children staring at him with big curious eyes. vash gives you a quick glance with a mischievous smile before he’s walking over to the nearest group of children. the teacher waves you off as she returns to her desk.

you walk up them and vash is already squatting down, meeting the kids face to face. they ask about his prosthetic arm almost immediately. they call it weird and strange as they watch him flex his fingers, asking why he even has it in the first place. and of course he laughs it off and claims he fought a big dragon that bit it off, and the children go screaming and laughing at how impressive and cool this random guy is. vash lets their little fingers touch along his palm, choruses of wow’s and woah’s as their little brains barely wrap around the idea that he’s missing his real arm.

more of the children come over and they want him to play trucks with them. little hands waving plastic toys in front of his face and of course with a smile, he takes them and starts rolling the trucks along the ground. and the children are laughing at the silly sound effects vash makes, and it causes you to giggle lightly along with them.

somehow, in the midst of the loud classroom, you find yourself thinking about living in your own house with vash while a little boy or girl runs around your legs. its embarrassing, but how could you not when he acts like this with little kids? when he speaks softer and plays with them

at some point, he ends up pretend-wrestling with the little kids. he claims his arm has evil powers as he just barely grazes the children with his fist while exclaiming, “haha i got you!” in his impression of a “villain” voice. and he’s rolling around on the carpet when their little fists punch him back, groaning and crying out in fake pain. it makes you laugh to yourself as he lays their with his tongue out in defeat by a bunch of four year olds as if he doesnt bench press over 200.

after almost 30 minutes of horsing around, most of the children leave, except for a few others. vash finally has to leave the kids alone as their parents come to pick them up. he ends up trudging over to where you’ve been standing to wrap his arms around your waist and rest his chin on your shoulder.

“y/n…” vash starts in a whiny voice.

“i swear if you tell me you want a kid all of a sudden-“

“no! no, no, no that’s not it,” he lies and you can tell. “they’re just so cute aren’t they?” vash mumbles softly, waving to the last of the kids as they leave.

you hum, lost in thought, “i guess so? sure playing with them is fun, but i have more than enough to take care of already.” your voice turns stern as you mockingly glare at him. and he’s all shits and giggles.

“cmon y/n, you know i was just playing around with them! and the teacher didn’t even to tell us to quiet down!” he giggles while pressing closer.

“yeah, but i bet she sure as hell wanted to-“

“if you wanted to play too, you could’ve just joined, you know,” he teases as he tenderly kisses your cheek.

you scoff and roll your eyes at this playful comments. and yet, you can’t help the way the domestic thoughts come flooding back as you watch as your little brother walks beside vash to the car, his small hand wrapped around vash’s index finger.

me saying rise donnie is clone donnie is just cuz like every donatello is donatello ykno? rise donnie and 87 donnie have more in common than youd think. the real kicker just comes from clone donnie having a big ego and being more evil scientist. take 87 donnie and make him evil scientist and you get rise donnie!

rise leo being 03 mikey correlates to the way that the rise turtles shift around dynamics that are similar to 03 (i didnt come up w this idea i saw it kicking around here but cant find the post, if someone knows the post i mean that explains this in detail ill edit and add it here)

rise raph = 03 leo (obvious, classic eldest sibling trauma)

rise leo = 03 mikey (adhd, copes with jokes, cheers people up w jokes, feels like the most outcast sibling)

rise donnie = 03 raph (quickest temper of the bunch, least touchy feely sibling)

rise mikey = 03 donnie (heart of the group that keeps everyone together)

but also i always love to say 87 raph = 03 mikey = rise leo cuz those two gained those traits from 87 raph

S5E6 "Urgent Care" thoughts

Colin being interesting was a cool idea that never crossed my mind it could be possible... but I think it was presented a little... abruptly? It's like there wasn't any prelude to this plot.

I can't add more fuel to my one-sided beef with FX networks merch department but seriously guys: Froguillermo plushies/figurines!!! You just don't want to make money at this point (look at me being all capitalist and shit).

Already said it in a different post but the Nandor/Colin pairing is very rare and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it, considering both have this "nuisance of the group" energy. I noticed that Nandor storylines usually are very isolated if he doesn't have one with Guillermo or a is part of a bigger group. He has few plots with only one of his roomies (again, without counting Guillermo).

That dangling feet looked disgusting. Loved it.

I cant say much about the scene of Colin with the actor (didn't make me laugh so much), so a personal anecdote: for years I believed this Mad Men dude and Ted Danson from The good place were the same person.

I lied, there was a moment that made me laugh: in the car when it looked like Colin was successfully about to bore the actor, the camera pans to Nandor, and he looks SO devious, like his eyes were literally shining at the sight of Colin feeding (and his plan working).

Another thing I already mentioned in a separate post, but the set design of this hospital place was *chef's kiss*. It looked so good and expensive. I CALLED IT! At the start of the episode I thought "oh so this is the episode when Nadja LEARNS". I also predicted right that every housemate will learn the truth about Guillermo except for Nandor, c'mon! that's a classic storytelling trope and I fuckin love how high drama all this shit is. Also happy that FINALLY I called something right with this show, the past year all my predictions on twt were debunked by bad writing, so I'm glad to have one W.

the game ended on moment when all the demons were defeated and sent back to hell (except for Nafanya and Gra'azt, who now became leader of big group of drow and continues to get more drow on his side from Lolth(shes not happy about it lol))

Ronya got married to goblin widow Hikt (they threw the bouket in Sarit's face so hehe he's next lol) and now Ronya is mama of Hikt's kids from her last marrige - one allready young adult goblin booy, little girl, and baby boy (I don't remember where I wrote their names rip OTL)

Mao completelly turned into fairy and only had one year and one day left in mortal plane to live, and after that she will be joining the Wild Hunt

And Chiviss ( @tench-art 's character) became small demigod and now he had his own illithyd ship, his paladin friend Valya(they are in love but very slowburn/akward about it) and clone of human monk Lee who now has to help Chiviss by doing good things and help fixing stuff he fucked up - and Chiviss plans to travel across other worlds on his ship

AND WITH ALL THAT Ronya was left the only one to rule Fort Asshole (Sarit gave it that name and it stuck X'D ) the fort, that became shelter for many many people throghout our game - basically it was like big town or small city at this point

The game ended at Ronya being like "wait so whos gonna take care of the Fort now?"

and everyone were like "well now YOU are the queen of Fort Asshole, Ronya! your responsibility now byeeee"

and Ronya was like "WHAT THE FUCK IM NOT GOOD AT POLITICS AND MENAGMENT SHIT!!! IM GOOD AT CRUSHING DEMONS SKULLS WHAT THE FUCK GUYS"

But I think Ronya will found a union with other leaders of the different groups of citizens of Fort Asshole

such as orcs Hector and Azog, who represent the interests of orcs

myconid Lubomab, who represents the interests of myconids

Ronya herself as leader of goblins and bugbears

and half-orc Lidia, who represents the interests of everyone else and all kinds of minorities

and together they will come up with something X'D how to take care of the city and trading and etc. Fort Asshole became very important trading point, since now it has the big portal cirlce to the surface, while the last city(Malonderit, I cant find how the city should be written right, I only remember how it was pronaunced so eh), that had the portal to the surface - doesnt have it anymore. So yeah, Fort Asshole has all the chances of becoming big city eventually

I know from what our DM said, that at some point other bugbears of the city will become overly proud and will think of themselves more than other species, bc "our leader is so cool! she is the best and the strongest, and everyone else is weak loosers" so Ronya would have to beat some sense into them

she would tell them(more like angrily roar) that she would never get where she is now without help of her friends and comrades (hell she even DIED once and they had to get her ass a new fucking body), that everyone is equal here and that they should stop embarrassing her. And she would also add that its not bugbears who are stronger than everybody but its particularly HER who's stronger than everybody XD and if anyone of those bugbear assholes wants to argue with that - they can challange her to battle in orcs' arena and see if they could win her in wrestling battle. nobody's up for it? theN SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!

ALSO Ronya promissed her wife Hikt that she won't be risking her life as much as she did during demon invasion anymore so I guess her life gets less adventurie now

She would gladly teach kids her knowladge of hunting, tracking, scouting, and nature of underdark in general... when she has time lol, bc being leader is hella busy job (she didn't want it but she was choosen to do it U_U )

Oh boy maybe it’s the fever making me brave but here we go! Cumulus!! Everyone characterizes her as super fem, very soft, care-giver type, very maternal. And I think it’s her shape. As someone with the same body type, I’m not that at all. I feel like she’s more the type to enjoy the finer things in life, be waited on hand and foot, step on someone’s balls if she feels like it. And if someone tried to latch on to her like they were nursing???? Annihilated. (I’m sorry I respect everyone elses’s HCs I swear please do not yell at me) I think she expects those around her to act like an adult and I am sure she is of course willing to be supportive, a shoulder to cry on etc like a normal friend. But NOT LIKE YOUR MOMMY. And expecting her to act like that while you’re fucking? No. NO! (Again I respect everyone’s opinions I’m sorry!)

i swore i saved all the cumulus specific ones to add to this one but alas, i guess i answered them all already lmao.

anyway. i think your ask is a perfect example of something i said earlier about trans ghouls, where one person's experience might lend them to liking something more than the other. and i hope the following things im gonna say a) make sense (lmao) but b) show a little bit of a different perspective or idea about this topic.

firstly, yes. it is absolutely true that cumulus has been deemed the 'mom' of the group. and i absolutely know that part of it probably does stem from internalized fatphobia, as well as societal stereotypes about fat women. that in order for them to be likeable they have to fit the traditional idea of femininity, to be maternal, to be 'done-up' and pretty and presentable at all times. that their worth is based on their ability to care for others. and thats fucking bullshit, and something i obviously, as a fat woman, dont condone.

on the other hand, the way i see cumulus, to most people, probably fits that mom friend type. and i can absolutely understand how you and others see that and go 'i look like her and im tired of being represented as such'. which is so fucking valid. but i cant deny that part of me projects that mom friend type of myself onto cumulus specifically because i look most like her. she's sweet. she's caring. shes supportive and loyal to her friends. she's got a beautiful, round, soft body that i wanna snuggle up to. and i know thats surface level shit. but i feel like i see her and she's just warm and kind.

but you know what? she's also a bit loud. likes to tease. DESERVES to be treated like the princess that she is. she's goofy. maybe shes clumsy. she gets crazy fuckin bedhead and has to spend so long untangling it. and i bet she serves a real sexy aloofness if you get her in the right mood. to me she's that mom friend trope. but thats not all she is, just as thats not all i am. and not at all how you would see yourself.

like i mentioned a little bit ago, i dont think there's anything wrong with having a character have a little bit of stereotype in them. but it does have to be balanced out. shes not JUST the mom friend. and something too that i do agree with you is, while i might label her that, she's not the pack's mother. she isnt their caretaker. they arent her children. i dont think they would treat her as such or assume that of her, if that makes sense. and yeah, totally understandable about the mommy during sex thing, or the nursing or whatever. a lot of that is more kink territory too, so if its not for you, then its not for you!

if anything, i always imagine aether to be running around making sure everyones got their shit together (even though we know he doesnt). and absolutely no ones forcing him to wear that damn frilly apron he always seems to be wearing in the kitchen . . . hmm . . .

but! i also see sunny as more of that warm, caregiving type personality too. as well as a boundless thing of energy. i def dont want cumulus to be pigeonholed into the 'mom' of the group either. but i still have certain ideas about how she is that could be labeled as such. you and everyone else is right that that's not all she is.

we just have to write her more. dig into her character. put her into those situations we want to see and that also challenge those two dimensional aspects of her trope character

i know that i push a little bit against that dislike of the mom thing. i dunno. but she's our lus and i love her very much, and would really like to see her more in the artwork & writing space <3

Say hello to Kingdom of the Local Anthill!

Say hello as well to my first micronation oc post, hopefully of many hehe

Also if youre here from the poland tag, this is a polish micronation, so, feliks child feliks child

Sadly, i was only able to find information on this micronation through the microwiki page, since i couldnt find any other pages for it. Any help on finding out more would be very much appriciated!

So! About Pietr! Immediately i will say, i chose the name purely because it sounded nice, any input on better names would also very much be appriciated! But for this post, i'll be sticking with Pietr

Once again, since there isnt that much info i could find on the micronation, for his personality i kind of hima'd it (aka, just bullshitted it)

He's cheery, literally a one year old, as the micronation announced its independance only a little over a year ago, but he tries his hardest to seem older, and cant say his age without adding that technically the anthill has existed since the 1950s, so he'd be the oldest in the group (and then gets glared at by seborga)

He tries to be very formal in his way of speaking, but struggles a bit with that, as he tries to copy what the macronations around him say, and the main one is Feliks, so he's mistakingly integrated a lot of slang into his hyper-formal way of speaking. (Hutt River and Molossia help him with that)

He takes his role as a personification very seriously, so seriously that he often will point out if something around his house could hurt or bother the ants! He has made feliks "throw out" anything that has a scent that ants dont like (he still has everything, just doesnt use it in front of pietr) and acts offended and as if he dislikes the scent as well (he actually enjoys lots of the scents, but thinks he'd be bad at his job if he admitted it)

Of course, he will start telling ant facts to anyone that he sees, and talks a lot about them with the micronation group

In his little backpack (made by eduard, nobody can tell otherwise) he carries everything that his overly worried family makes him bring around: bandaids, disinfectant, a snack just in case, and of course, his Carpenter Ant Plushie(TM)

Onto how everyone around feels about him, his family loves him, he's the little baby, and they all try their best of raising him.

Feliks and Tolys are trying to parent, and doing fine somehow? They bring him everywhere, and listen to him ramble about ants for hours (Tolys asks enough questions to keep him going on and on)

Eduard is the cool older brother, he brings him places when tolys and feliks are busy, and makes him stuffed animals and wooden toys (i have a stupid little headcanon that eduard really likes sewing and just making stuff in general)

Raivis is,,,,trying? He's already friends with most of the micronations, so he often accompanies him to the meetings, but he doesnt really know how to act around him, so whenever they talk he doesnt really say much, and mostly listens. (Once again, i have a headcanon that raivis is trying to figure out how the aging process works, so he's probably waiting to see how quickly he ages and also praying that he doesnt become older than him one day)

His closest friends in the micronation group are probably Hutt River, as he looks to him for advice on how to be a proper prince, he would ask Seborga but my personal version of him is not the friendliest*, Republic of Toku, and Rose Island (other micronation ocs i might maybe talk about in the future, for now just know that one is a space nerd, and the other is a fish nerd)

*I have completely different characters for seborga and molossia, and might change hutt river a bit as well, i will make sure to share them in the future!

Outside of his family and the micronation group, he doesnt really know many other people, since he's just a toddler

Well, well, well, guess who actually reached the end! I dont have anything more to say currently! If i find more i will add!

i was tagged by @applesaucesims a while ago to share my top 23 screenshots of 2023 and it was actually pretty hard to pick just 23!!!! i've seen a lot of people do them by month but because i made this blog in like may i'm just post them all as one :) some are raw some are edited its a real mixed bag i've seen a lot tagged in this already but if you haven't done this yet consider yourself tagged <3!!!

13. the way they're looking here.... ough. in the story post they take a few moments to watch lori pass before initially approaching her. the look they give her is mixed with the displeasure of spending their friday night tailing their boss' 'girlfriend' and just your typical male gaze of watching girls go by

14. i think i peaked with this shot. she was literally just getting into a car what an absolute icon

15. & 16. the way she looks at him and the way he looks at her...... chefs kiss. she's annoyed and he can tell but that doesn't stop him with appreciating how she looks

18. i love this little moment of intimacy between them. their relationship can feel more like an acquaintanceship at times, especially with how marco speaks to lori and how he treats her. i like in this shot it captures a rare moment in their relationship where lori is genuinely sweet and he's soaking it all in. also i really like both their side profiles hehe

19. i was starting to take screens for a post i was going to make then i just forgot about it but i really like this and how it's a little sneak peak on what to expect later on in four to one :)

Ft. An MC who likes art

This one is about drawing/sketching.

If youre an MC that likes to draw, the first things youre going to be drawing are parts of your new town. This might include your friends. Youve got plenty of new friends and have documented pieces for each one of them.

Theres Qiu in his fort and surrounded by all his friends. He is always front and center in all of the pieces with him. Naturally those doodles or pieces revolve around other people. Its very rare for it to happen to be just of him because it seems like his life is full others. However there are a few generally doodles of his smiles or weird expressions youve seen on his face, he's very open and expressive especially around you. There have been the odd times where hes not facing the viewer but these you keep to yourself. You dont want him to know just how captivating he can be. Youve shown him different drawings but have only given a few to him if any and maybe only when he asks. He asks a lot though especially at first and youve objected to more of the doodles because you doodle him so much and you want to keep some and theyre so bad why qiu? And he's respectful and loves to watch you draw. However the times hes often watching you draw it's other people. Hed love to have you come over and just draw him for a bit but hes not sure if thats needy of him to ask or appropriate or weird. Is it weird to ask to be somebodys muse?

Then theres Tamarack. You cant help but surround her with the woods and the trees and the leaves almost like when you first found her. If youve only been sketching or mostly only sketch, she is one you want to paint or color. You want to show the world just how beautiful and vibrant and warm she is. You love drawing the poof of her hair and begged your mom for glitter to add to her hair. You find leaves in autumn that remind you of her and it can be varying shades. If there's anyo e you wanted to try palettes with itd be Tamarack and her favorite colors (which include yours). You like to give her all of your little doodles of her knowing that she'll appreciate even the ones that come out wrong (according to you). Its only when you compare qius drawings to hers do you realize that you've never placed her with the group at whole, there's always a little bit of distance there or maybe its just her and the woods. When you go to draw her with someone, its either you, qiu, or granny and grandpa. She enjoys and will encourage any forays into other mediums and would love to not only watch you draw but join you. She'll try and return the favor of drawing you or something else (a gift, a song, something that encapsulates you as much as your art did her).

Darren. Ren. You think he's cool but not as cool as Baxter. Youve got a couple doodles of him, mostly featuring him and qiu and baxter. You've tried to draw him on his own once but it never feels right. You tried to show him one of your better drawings you did of him and he made a face. Unsure of how to interpret it but not feeling particularly proud of it yourself, you told him that it was a work in a progress and some day youll have made a better one of him. He told you that he didnt want it and you understood. Wait did he mean the drawing or for you to stop drawing him?

Baxter is amused. When is he not amused. He is, however, impressed with your skills. His favorite, and he's told you, is one featuring qiu, him, and darren. You got it and made him one of his very own. However you were surprised when he asked you to sign it. Your signature was in the works and not as good as your moms but, shakily and happily, you signed the piece in the corner. He told you that he'll keep it safe and cherish it but he said it with a smile like he was humoring you. You never asked him to and you figured a rich guy like him has better tastes but you appreciated the sentiment anyways. He is never drawn alone surprising. You get nervous looking at him too long even if you have the excuse of it being for a drawing. And he offers! He offers to pose or sit still for you but even if you said yes it probably wouldnt come about. If you were insistent though hed be surprised. You wont get much from him unfortunately. But his visage sticks enough with you to be able to draw it from memory. You doodled him and qiu laughing about something once and his eyes seemed to light up but before you could offer it to him he looked away and said that it looked nice with that default smile of his. He doesnt have to know that you ripped the doodle out and shoved it into his bag/pocket at one point. He should let himself enjoy things like that more often.

why would abolishing gender be harmful to trans ppl if transphobia stems from emphasis on traditional gender roles, and the abolishment would further their focus on relieving dysphoria thru physical sex change instead of relieving it by having to conform to sociological femininity and masculinity as a means to adapt in this patriarchal society?

no worries! i haven't made a post about this before since no one's asked, but i'll answer it right here for you.

the answer is, it wouldn't be harmful. abolishing gender would ultimately be the best for everyone, but especially lgbt people & women. however... the contextualization of this point is what makes or breaks it. let me explain--

trans people have a negative reaction when people discuss abolishing gender not only for the same reason cis people might (a kneejerk reaction to protect the status quo), but also for the very valid reason of wanting to defend transness in a transphobic society. it's the same reason why some gay people will react negatively to the fact that homosexuality is a social construct, and therefore cannot be innate; most people use this argument to justify homophobia & patriarchy.

the thing is, to abolish gender, sex must also be abolished as it's the primary method of naturalizing gender. sex is a social construct-- it's not natural. however, terfs and any garden variety conservative will reify gender through the naturalization of sex. they'll say, "cis women and men are natural, but trans people aren't. therefore, they must be eliminated." similarly, "heterosexual people are natural, but gay and bi people aren't. therefore, they must be eliminated." eliminated can mean killed or, forcibly dissolved into the "natural" categories via bullshit self-loathing propaganda.

a really easy way to understand why this is so upsetting to trans people is just comparing their situation to gay people or women's, really, as they are so similar. if you walked up being like "wow i cant wait for gays to be abolished<3" ofc people will assume you mean it in a homophobic sense rather than a complicated, radical feminist sense, and if you're focusing on the abolition of minority groups in particular, it does likely stem from bigotry. not saying that you've said anything like that lol, but those examples are the best way i can illustrate the point.

also, everyone on the internet hates radical feminism, so regardless of how eloquently you explain your point & how sensible it is, if you associate it with radical feminism people will ignore what you say, misinterpret you so severely that it seems deliberate but could very well be internet stupidity, and also throw tomatos at you. 😭 radfems, matfems & a handful of marxist, anarchist, intersectional fems + womanists are the only ones i trust to not be covert antifeminists.

last p.s.: we don't know what a society outside of patriarchy looks like. assuming people will continue getting sex changes assumes the existence of a natural sex binary, though it's possible people may change "sex" characteristics as they please. trans people's issue is not only being forced into gender roles, but a hatred of transness which puts them into a catch-22 regarding survival under patriarchy-- they're "reifying patriarchy" if they transition, but plagued with dysphoria, martyrs to a post-patriarchal world centuries away from us if they don't. perhaps, a similar scenario would be if you told a gay or straight person to simply see people as gender/sexless and to experience attraction, to give affection as though we lived in a post-patriarchal society-- it just wouldn't be possible, and for the gay person who is particularly vulnerable under patriarchy, it would more likely be traumatizing. dworkin put it so succintly in woman hating...

i hope that wasn't too repetitive or long, i just wanted to be thorough. admittedly, this is kind of a loaded answer if you aren't familiar with sex as a social construct, so if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!
