Commentary:

The original did not have a P.V. for this one; This A.M.V. was made based purely on feeling from the original as the song was rarely covered in the originating series' canon, though it clearly still had some relevance there too (namely, to the earlier part of that series' canon, but also extending throughout the rest).

It's a bit of "dark" song but has a really cool (rock) sound; (However, take caution if you watch!) Despite this, there's a layer of 'deeper' meaning connecting to originating characters from the series this one is from, as well.

The original P.O.V. is through a character relevant to the main villain of the originating series that inspired this take; however; this character might not be fully aware of own actions.

("Gennai" appears a bit in this one...)

{There are spoilers for mainly the initial 1st Tri trailers + Saikai opening in this; including a dialogue made at the start of "Saikai"; however, this was made a year+ or so back. Kizuna does not show A LOT 'yet'., however there is a semi-major spoiler as the precursor to the final battle involving "what happened to the {missing} Chosen Children".} (If I include more of it or not depends on if my editor lets me finish making this A.M.V. without it crashing.)

After an entire book of only mentioning them in passing, as these non-tangible, “better than thou”, out of reach sir and lady of a manor in another time and world, this —

She breached through to the center, and stopped to look at the figures standing there, huddled under the gazebo. A fox woman, and a man with reddish skin and horns like her mother’s. They were dressed in other colors, in tones of black and gold, the man’s arms around the fox’s waist as he drew her closer, displeased. He looked as though he were angered by the very thought of his existence in this cold, his pointed tail flickering back and forth behind him.

It all melted away the moment his eyes met Lenis, and his face softened. He held his hand out towards her, with the bouquet of flowers they’d brought for Elanoriel from home. Sunstar flowers, lilies, marigolds, and red roses–all manner of golden or red flowers, arranged to look like a mosaic of the sun, tied together by a red ribbon. Lenis approached slowly, skittish as a baby deer, but neither fox nor man moved. He simply held the bouquet out, until she plucked it from his hand and darted back to the entrance. She looked back and gave them an awkward wave, which the two returned, before focusing back on the path ahead.

I apologize for taking so long to fill this out! I've been flooded with so much schoolwork over the past couple months, it's unbelievable! Happy holidays and I hope you enjoy it regardless.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Initially, Lars will be apprehensive to give you affection. He's not averse to it; he just wants to make sure you're okay with it first. He understands that not everyone enjoys or is comfortable with physical touch, so he wants to respect your boundaries as much as possible. Once you give him the OK, he'll show you small, sweet gestures of affection. With Lars, everything is simple. Being the gentleman that he is, he won't ever smother you or cling to you incessantly. Instead, he'll opt for hand-holding and gentle kisses to the cheek or temple. When it comes to showing you affection in public, it really depends on your personal preference. Lars doesn't mind PDA, so if you don't either, that's perfect. He'll give you the exact same treatment as he does in private (except for hugs, those are strictly done when you're at home together). If you do mind PDA, then he'll reserve everything for when you two are alone.

B = Best Friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

After everything he's gone through (and is currently going through) with the rebellion, Lars has grown to appreciate the little things in life. As a result, he's very chill and easygoing. It doesn't take a lot to make him happy, so no matter what you want to do, he's down for it. Lars is also extremely loyal; if you ever need anything from him, he will be there for you without question. He probably won't be able to offer the best advice, but if there's something you want to talk to him about, he's all ears. The friendship would probably start at Yggdrasil HQ, with you being part of the rebellion. Lars always tries to take as much stress off his troops as possible, especially during tense situations. So, he'll make an effort to keep pleasant conversations going, even if it's about something as simple as the weather. It won't take long for you and him to start speaking to each other, and as time progresses, you guys become two peas in a pod. In your free time, you talk about anything and everything, temporarily distracting yourselves from the worldwide chaos.

C = Comfort (How do they comfort you? Are they good at it or are they kinda awkward? How do they like to be comforted?)

Lars is an absolute sweetheart, so as soon as he sees that you're upset, he'll provide you with as much comfort as possible. He'll do anything and everything to make you happy again, so consider him your personal butler. Want to watch a movie? He'll put one on for you. Want some snacks? He'll bring you your favorites. Want him to cuddle you for a while? You don't even have to ask because he was just about to do it anyway. He'll tend to your every whim without hesitation; if it makes you feel better, he'll do it. Lars is great at comforting, as he's very soft and understanding. He's a great listener, so if you decide to open up, he'll hang on to every word you say. His presence is calm and soothing, making you feel safe and secure. When Lars needs comfort, it's best to sit down and talk to him about the cause of his distress. He'll be completely honest about what's upsetting him and talk through it with you. Honesty is important to him, and he sees no reason to keep you in the dark. If you have any advice to offer, he's completely willing to listen. All he asks is that you lend him an ear. Aside from that, he doesn't need anything other than your presence, which always brings him solace.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Lars absolutely wants to settle down with you at some point. He's been smitten with you since the very beginning, and he honestly can't imagine a better way to live the rest of his life. Lars is more than capable of handling household duties. As someone who grew up without siblings or a father, he spent a lot of time helping his mother with stuff around the house. He's an excellent cook, especially when it comes to Swedish food. It's what he grew up making and eating, so he knows all of the recipes like the back of his hand. When it comes to cleaning, Lars is like a housekeeper. He enjoys keeping things tidy, and he'll catch every last speck of dust, lint, and hair without fail.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with you, how would they do it?)

Lars is a man who values practicality over sentimentality, so if he had to break up with you, it would definitely be for a logical reason. If your life was put in danger because you had connections with him, for example, Lars would end it. Even if he still harbored feelings for you, he wouldn't cling to the relationship if it wasn't practical. This isn't to say he wouldn't be emotional about it, though. In fact, it's just the opposite. He would be as direct as possible and would try to keep a neutral expression, but you can tell he's holding back tears. It hurts him to do this, and he never thought he'd have to, but if it's what's best for both of you, Lars sees no other option.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Commitment is a serious thing for Lars. He believes it's an important step in a relationship, one that finalizes everything and seals your love in a sacred vow. He'd definitely want to marry you at some point, but it would take a while for him to pop the question. Before taking such a large step, he wants to make sure that he's gotten to know you and trust you over a long period of time. Additionally, he would rather wait until the war ends before considering something that important. Lars wants to wait for the perfect time in which to ask you to marry him, so despite the fact that this man wouldn't dream of having anyone else, it'll take him a while. Rest assured, though, you have his heart.

G = Gentle (How tender are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Lars is incredibly gentle, both physically and emotionally. Every touch is soft and light, not because he's afraid of hurting you, but because he believes it's kind and considerate. To be rough with you is unnecessary and rude in his eyes. Emotionally, he's very compassionate and considerate, always taking the time to make sure you're okay or give you reassurance. His voice is soft whenever you're upset, and he's always willing to provide support when you need it.

H = Hugs n' Cuddles (Do they like hugs/cuddles? What are they like? How often do they happen?)

He loves hugs and cuddles, as they ground him in reality and reassure him that you're alive and breathing. Lars is a simple guy, and that translates into the way he holds you. When he hugs you, his arms go over one shoulder and under the other, the way a traditional hug would. They're long and full of love, enveloping you in warmth and making you feel safe. If Lars has been away for a while, he'll hold you tight and plant a soft kiss on your collarbone. When he cuddles you, he has an arm around your shoulders and pulls you close to him, resting his head on top of yours. Every so often, he'll pull back a bit to kiss your temple, then put his head back where it was before. Unfortunately, hugs and cuddles don't happen very often, as Lars barely gets time to relax. However, on the rare days when he does, he makes every second count.

I = I Love You (How quickly do they tell you they love you?)

Despite his preference for being practical, he's a very passionate guy. Naturally, his feelings are sudden and powerful. Lars is a hopeless romantic, but he isn't aware of it at all. When he first met you, he was actually kind of scared of how quickly he fell for you. If he were being completely straightforward with you, Lars would've said those words a long time ago. However, since building trust is so important to him, he'll hold off on saying them for a while. Relationships take a lot of time and effort to build, and Lars wants to make sure yours is no exception. He doesn't feel that it's right to tell you too quickly, no matter how certain he thinks he is. He wants to make sure you both trust each other and that neither of you feel rushed or uncomfortable about the course of the relationship. This might be one of the only things that he isn't honest about right away, as he wants to wait until the time is right.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

For the most part, Lars is pretty chill. He understands that not every person you talk to is going to be obsessed with you; that's just not how the world works. He knows that you probably have male friends that you like to hang out with or that you might bump into some polite guy and strike up a conversation sometime. Because he trusts you, the thought of someone flirting with you doesn't even cross his mind. Even if someone does flirt with you, he'll step in and politely let them know that you two are together. He'll only lose his cool if the other person touches you. Lars is perceptive; he can differentiate between friendly touches and flirtatious ones. If anybody tries anything with his lover, he'll be quick to tell them off and make it clear that you're his. If the other person is a jerk, then things'll start to escalate quickly, especially if a hand is laid on you. Lars will try his best to contain his temper, but it's very difficult for him to do so when your safety is being put at risk.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

With Lars, his kisses are almost always soft, slow, and sweet. The only time he won't be gentle is if he's been away and hasn't seen you for a while. Even then, these kisses aren't that much rougher than his usual ones; you can sense more passion and longing within them, but it's not like he's sloppy or eating half of your face. If he does slip up and catch himself being far rougher than usual, he'll tone it down immediately. Lars' biggest fear is making you feel uncomfortable in any way, so he's somewhat averse to being more passionate. Lars loves to kiss your forehead the most, as it feels protective, and he's noticed that it helps you relax. As for himself, he adores it when you kiss him on the lips. Every time you kiss him there, he's in heaven.

L = Little Ones (How are they around children and what are their thoughts on them?)

Lars is awkward around kids, but he's as sweet as can be. He wouldn't know what to do around them, but he'd try his best to keep them happy and entertained. He thinks kids are interesting; they're tiny people with innocent perspectives on everything. It reminds him of when he was a kid, living life without care and being curious about the world around him. Unfortunately, most of them can't afford to do that right now. Lars' heart breaks every time he sees a child affected by the war, and even more so if that child has no one left to turn to. He'd love to start a family with you in the future, but definitely not anytime soon. Right now, he wouldn't want to raise a kid in a devastated world, not to mention it would be impossible for him to help out when he's constantly going out on missions. Additionally, there's so much that burdens him at present that he'll need some time to recover after the war is over. But one day, when justice prevails and hope is restored, Lars would like nothing more than to live out the rest of his life with you and a bunch of little ones of your own.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings with Lars will either be super chill or super hectic; there's no happy medium. On his off days, he'll wake up early, but will stay in bed for a while just to hold you. He won't force you to wake up and wants to let you rest as much as you need to. When you wake up, he'll make you whatever you want for breakfast. As said before, Lars is an excellent cook, considering he'd had a ton of practice growing up, so he'll make anything and everything for you. You guys will eat breakfast, talk, and take in the morning sunlight together. On hectic days, however, it's the complete opposite. Lars usually has to get up for a mission, so he needs to head out the door as quickly as possible. As soon as he gets the call, he'll shoot straight out of bed and haphazardly get dressed, probably knocking a couple things over as he does so. He'll stumble around the place trying to brush his teeth, comb his hair, prepare, and fix himself a quick smoothie all at the same time. As you can imagine, it gets loud pretty quickly, waking you up with a start. All throughout the morning, Lars will apologize profusely to you from the moment he wakes up to the moment he shuts the door. He feels really bad about waking you so suddenly, but unfortunately, there's no way around it.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights are much like mornings; sometimes they'll be chill, and other times, he'll be rushing out the door. Chill nights are full of cuddling and watching movies, which never gets old, considering that each day he's above ground is a blessing. However, when Lars gets called in for a mission, he'll hastily pack his things and prepare before giving you a sweet kiss and heading out the door. He always feels horrible doing this, especially when the two of you are in the middle of something, but it's his job and a very important one at that. When he's not there, it gets lonely pretty quick. Oftentimes, he'll call you and tell you about what's going on. He'll tell you that he'll be back soon and that he loves you and wishes you a good night. If he doesn't have time to call, he'll send you a quick text. No matter what, Lars will always make the effort to do something. The last thing he wants to do is worry you by not responding.

O = Open (At what point would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or take their time with it?)

Lars would be pretty average when it comes to revealing stuff about himself. He'd start off with the more basic stuff first, then slowly tell you deeper things as the relationship progresses. He wouldn't splurge out all sorts of information on the first date, nor would he wait years before telling you any of his deeper details. He'd definitely want to establish trust first before delving into more personal matters, but he wouldn't take years to be open with you.

P = Patience (How patient are they?)

Lars can be a little quick-tempered with people he doesn't know or like right away. In general, he has very little tolerance for people who act entitled, cocky, or rude. Other than that, he's a pretty patient guy. With you, his patience is astounding. He'll help you out with whatever you need, and he'll try his best to walk you through things you might not understand. Lars will make an effort to stay patient with you, no matter the situation. If you act unnecessarily rude or take your anger out on him, he'll be a lot more forbearing with you than he would be with someone else. If you take it too far, though, his patience will run thin.

Q = Quizzes (How much do they remember about you? Do they remember every detail or kinda forget everything?)

Lars has an amazingly sharp mind, which helped land him his high ranking within the Rebellion. Even after having recovered from amnesia, he's still retained his quick instincts and vivid memory. When it comes to you, he'll remember as much as humanly possible, guaranteed. Something random that you mentioned in passing? Lars remembers it, even if it's completely slipped your mind. A specific childhood memory you told him about? He'll memorize every detail. Favorite color? Favorite food? Favorite movie? Lars has it all locked in. And if something manages to slip his mind, he'll feel really bad about it and will want to make it up to you.

R = Remember (What is one of the most important moments of your relationship?)

After having been with you for a couple months, Lars decided it was about time to introduce you to the people closest to him, starting with his best friend Alisa. At first, he was a little nervous. Considering the fact that she was a flying, chainsaw-wielding automaton, he wasn't sure what you would think of her. Awkwardly enough, Lars was actually preparing himself to break it off with you if you didn't like her. After all, he has known her and trusted her for a long time, so it would be upsetting for him if you didn't respect or get along with her. Lars is the type of guy where if you don't like his friends, he doesn't like you. Luckily, he ended up having nothing to worry about, for the two of you quickly became two peas in a pod. You thought she was super sweet and cool, and she thought you were amazing and that Lars was lucky to have you. She even gave you a flying piggyback ride, which was as awesome as you can imagine it to be. Lars thought the two of you were adorable together, and he couldn't help but chuckle the entire time.

S = Security (How protective are they and how would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

With everything going on, Lars is definitely protective, but not overly so. If he's with you, then he'll stick by your side and be on the lookout for danger. If he's away, he trusts you to take care of yourself. Every day, he'll give you a call to check in and make sure you're okay. He'd definitely be worried sick about you regardless, but he's not the type to try and constantly monitor you. He values your personal space and would never dream of going to such extreme lengths. For him, he feels the most protected when he has full trust in someone. Lars feels safe and secure with the people he's closest to, especially you. He knows his secrets are safe with you and that nothing bad can happen to him if you're there. After all, you're the light of his life, so there's no reason to feel sad or unsafe with you around.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, etc?)

As a whole, Lars would put a ton of effort into everything. Date, anniversaries, gifts—no matter what it is, he will try to make it extra special. He's a very thoughtful guy, so he would definitely take time to think before planning romantic dates or anniversaries. Nothing is sporadic with him; you always know what's going on and when it's happening ahead of time. He'll also take your schedule into account and make sure everything works for you. When it comes to gift-giving, he's the same way. Whatever he gives you, it's bound to have some thought and meaning behind it. Lars doesn't want to give you something that he knows you're not gonna need, use, or like. The only time Lars will be spontaneous with anything is if he's been away for a while and just impulsively wants to do something with you. Other than that, he's not the type to drag you out anywhere on a whim.

U = Ugly (What are some bad habits of theirs?)

Lars is usually crystal clear about how he feels, but there's one emotion that he refuses to acknowledge entirely—anxiety. In his line of work, there's no room for nervousness, so Lars constantly has to keep his cool even if he's feeling petrified. It's not that he doesn't want to be honest with you; it's just that he's so used to staying stone-faced under pressure that he just can't express his anxiety in a proper way. The guy tries his best, but concealing it has become his default setting.

V = Values (What do they value in a partner?)

Patience is a virtue, especially with someone like Lars. He frequently has to travel for missions, so he needs someone who will be willing to wait for him. Additionally, he's aware of his faults and appreciates someone who will be patient with him while he works through them. He also likes perceptiveness. Anyone with a keen eye is sure to win Lars' admiration, especially if they're able to spot when he's bottling up emotions or having trouble expressing himself. Finally, self-reliance is a big thing for him. He values an individual who can take care of themselves. Although he'd be more than willing to give them the world, he knows that he's not gonna be around all the time, at least not while the war is happening. He needs the assurance that his lover can keep themselves away from harm while he's gone.

W = Wedding (How are they on the big day? How do they help plan it out? Are they emotional or stoic?)

Lars is completely shocked. He honestly can't believe this moment has arrived. As hopeful a guy as he is, there was a dark part of him that worried he wouldn't make it out of the war alive. Lars also hates people who are frequently dishonest. Truth and honesty are important to him, as he sees them as two key factors in any type of relationship. If there's anything Lars is 100% sure of, it's that liars aren't loyal.

Z = Zzz (What are some sleep habits of theirs?)

Before bed, he makes a habit of brushing his hair. Due to the unique way it's shaped, it can get knotted easily. To save himself hassle in the morning, Lars makes sure to comb out the day's knots before laying down next to you. Lars enjoys being the big spoon and holding you from behind as you both sleep. He doesn't snore, nor does he move. He'll stay in the exact same spot for the whole night. Thanks to his training as a soldier, Lars can wake up at the drop of a hat. Sometimes, he'll jerk awake at the slightest noise or movement before realizing it was nothing and drifting back off to sleep. Also, expect a goodnight kiss every single night before you go to sleep. Even if it's over the phone, you will receive one.

Are there other realms besides heaven (if that's where angel mythosi come from?) and hell?

I'm gonna have to put a firm maybe on that, just b/c I don't want to block out the possibility. But as of now, there aren't any that I've canonically come up with!

I will say, however, the actual "structure" of the cosmos outside of Navara are resemblant of Yggdrasill, where all the different realms are separate but connected somehow. It's not a tree in this case, but just know the realm isn't a "planet" by any means. At least not in any classical sense of the word.

A Bond at the Center of Time

Loki finally had his throne. For his entire life, he had coveted this power that he now held so delicately in his hands.

All at once, Loki felt differently than he’d expected. He knew by now that this wasn’t the power he thought he wanted. Now, sitting at this throne of time, he began to consider how much he had changed.

In the past, Loki was a destroyer. He was easy to blame and easy to hate. Even arriving at the TVA, he had his walls built high and was ready to stand tall to defend himself.

But with one conversation, Loki had quickly realized that his past aggression was all an act.

As he considered that fateful encounter, Loki’s heart sank.

Mobius.

His right-hand man. The person he trusted.

Loki looked down, taking in the sight of Yggdrasil. He had certainly aligned the multiverse as it needed to be, but he knew in his heart there was some things still left unsaid.

He stood up, still conscious of his magic to stabilize Yggdrasil. Simultaneously, his slender hand reached for a particular branch in the timeline.

It glowed, and moments passed while Loki seemed to be looking for something.

His eyes closed, and his head dipped down once he finally felt the energy he needed.

Slowly, he sent a rush of his own energy through the timeline. It was definitely the right one. The link clicked.

If he wanted to, Mobius could respond.

“W-what?” Mobius was saying. “What’s going on?”

Loki could only chuckle, small tears forming in his eyes at the sound of his voice.

He was still alive.

“Mobius.” Loki choked back tears.

“Loki? I— hang on! Just hang on.”

Mobius seemed to be getting away from something, and now quickly headed to somewhere with less noise.

“Loki?” Mobius said breathlessly, “Is that really you?”

“Mobius!” Loki exclaimed. “It’s me.”

“It really is you.” His voice was full of wonder. “How are you even talking to me right now?”

Loki wiped his tears away. “I-uh… I’m a God. I guess I have my ways.”

Mobius laughed. “Still the man of mischief! Wow! How are things going up there in the treehouse?”

Loki laughed now, glad to hear his bad jokes again. “I was hoping you’d come here and see it.”

“Now, look,” Mobius protested, “I personally think risking to get my skin peeled off once was enough. As much as I’d love to, I think I’ll pass.”

“I’m sure there’s a way,” Loki assured him. “Let’s ask O.B.”

As time passed, Mobius worked alongside O.B. to create a way to safely visit Loki. After many long hours spent in Repairs & Advancement, they finally invented a type of time box that could travel through multiverse branches. Even with only one coat of paint, the mechanism would surely get the job done.

Mobius was all suited up, moving around impatiently in his bulky attire. He waited for O.B.’s signal, running the plan through his head one last time.

“Alright,” O.B. chirped, “it’s ready to go. All you have to do is think about where it really is that you want to be.”

After a few clicked computer buttons, Mobius braced himself and thought of Loki. The interrogations, the outings, the pies, the talks…

Before he knew it, he was gone.

Mobius woke almost instantly, seeing that he was standing inside in a glowing green box. It was much like the orange time boxes in the TVA— but, this time, this box was meant to protect.

Mobius looked up, seeing Loki from outside the square. He had a fixed smile on his face from his spot on the throne.

“I guess it worked,” Mobius said awkwardly, chuckling.

Loki stood up. His cape trailed behind him as he entered the green box with ease.

They held eye contact, slowly walking toward each other.

“It’s safe in here, you know.” Loki gestures to the radiation suit. “You won’t be needing this.”

“Ah, I guess not.”

They were silent as Mobius stepped out of the giant protective suit. To his pleasant surprise, this green space was just as safe as Loki had said.

When Mobius finished, he stood in his brown suit with his hands folded in front of him. He looked at Loki expectantly, watching him come closer.

“Um…” Loki started, finding his words. “Hi.”

“Hi,” Mobius answered, obviously confused. “What made you want to bring me all the way here?”

Loki lifted his hands carefully, slowly placing them on Mobius’ arms.

The God looked down. As much as he had done to save the multiverse, this somehow seemed like the hardest thing he’d ever had to do.

“Mobius,” Loki said finally. “I’ve had a lot of time to think. I’ve sorted through our memories, reliving all our old experiences. To me, I feel a lot was left unsaid.”

“You think?” Mobius quipped, smiling.

Loki exhaled a small laugh, meeting his eyes.

“When I met you, I wouldn’t shake your hand,” Loki began. “You prodded my brain like any other criminal. You even went so far to throw me into a time cell.”

Mobius knitted his eyebrows. “Hey, I thought we made it past all that.”

“It is in the past,” Loki agreed. “But I’m not finished just yet.”

Mobius opened his mouth to reply, but shut it again.

“I came back to the TVA and you didn’t know who I am,” he continued. “But… I never forgot who you were. You helped me fix my time slipping, and since that day I felt things start to change.”

Loki paused. The two of them kept looking at each other.

“There was something I wanted to say then,” he continued, “do you remember?”

“If you didn’t make it back?” Mobius laughed nervously. “We see how that ended though, didn’t we?”

“For sure,” Loki nodded, looking away once more.

This was it.

“What is it?” Mobius’ voice was a whisper now.

Loki cautiously glanced back up at him. The tug came again at Loki’s chest, and this time he knew what it was.

“I love you.” Loki paused. “That’s what I wanted to say.”

Mobius’ eyes grew wide. Then, he smiled.

The two of them naturally closed the distance between them. Mobius started to grab Loki’s cape, but the God took his hands gently instead.

“I love you, too,” Mobius answered, looking down at their hands intertwined between them. “Wow, I… who would’ve guessed? You almost wish this had better timing, though, don’t you?”

Loki laughed softly, small tears of joy forming again in his eyes. His hands grabbed Mobius’ face, and he pulled him in for a kiss.

This surprised Mobius, but his eyes fluttered closed. He kissed Loki back, moving delicately against his lips. His hands found their way to Loki’s sides that he always loved to touch.

When the kiss ended, they both caught their breaths. The kiss had been tender and slow, but all the emotion they’d built up for an immeasurable amount of time had finally sparked and started to burn.

Now, they couldn’t let each other go. They held each other, feeling like everything finally made sense.

“What now?” Mobius asked, leaning against Loki.

“The same thing, I’m afraid,” Loki answered sadly. “I have to focus constantly on preserving this tree.”

Mobius frowned.

“It’s harder to do when you’re here, but… I still can.” Loki kissed Mobius’ forehead. “What do you say you come up here to see me sometimes?”

“An occasional trip out to the cosmos? I’m in,” Mobius said. “I admit, with this now I’m sure you won’t be able to keep me away.”

“Not a chance I’d ever try.”

Mobius and Loki backed away, looking each other now with a sense of knowing.

“Let some time pass, and come back to me soon. I’ll miss you,” Loki said softly, just before exiting the time cell.

Mobius looked down, holding back his tears. “I’ll miss you too.”

In an instant, Mobius was safely returned to the correct moment on his timeline. His life looked the same— his same suburban house and unkept lawn. Even so, he knew nothing would feel the same to him ever again. Not after today.

Loki felt the same way, now sitting on his throne with a smile on his face. He realized now there was nothing wrong with wanting something.

Ok feh talk! IntSys give a free male OC challenge difficulty: Impossible...

Tbh I kinda like the new designs, definetely more varied than last book "v-tuber waifus with giant boobs" design used for most characters... But still sad that the guys are getting more shafted every year!

The two mysterious characters are my favorite designs (probably based in the yggdrasill's goat and stag) but I know IntSys gonna make the guy have the tiniest role possible or be the books main villain... I REALLY want they at least make him summonable, his design is so cool and I don't want to wait, like, 2 years for his base form get in the game :c

Also, talking of guys shafted... L for Inigo! He joins Sylvain in the fan favorite guys that become a shitty demote gang (Inigo at least has better stats, but he is a infantry sword... The most bloated and usually powercrept class)!

About the banner, nothing much else to say... Lucina gets another alt but now with probably the fast oriented rearmed axe, severa is a godsword and the we also heve free OC that shuts down one of the most annoying mechanics of the game: teleportation (Sorry gatekeeper you definetely lost your niche and also flier stonks definetely sinking). A rant about the demote tho, everybody knew Laurent would be a demote when getting in feh, but what bothers me is that IntSys insists in giving repeated shitty skills in the 4-star pool! Seriously? Atk/Res ideal and rouse atk/res? That's the exact same kit as Hilda which was released what? 2 years ago? There are 3 grail units with that ideal skill while 2 have rouse! We have some of the most busted tier 4 skills but then can't even get us some decend bridge fodder...

New game mode can't say much, IntSys always focusing in the PvP instead of PvE, but this time auto-battles for you so you can pretend you don't care when your team loses against the most bullshit whale team you can find... Also, the mode rewards looks really bad...

Anyways, I know I'm focusing more in the negative, but at least OCs looks cool... I Hope Veronica do something in this book and I'm curious about the book showing some focus in the askr Queen! I always expect nothing about feh story, but It would be funny If Sharena's mom got more development than sharena herself in this book (also, I'm definetely more interested in this book and last one)

BIG fat loki spoilers for this one boys. don’t read this if you haven’t watched it yet and plan to.

i personally really liked the finale. i thought it was a masterclass in the genre of “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting it to work” (aka sisyphus retellings). HOWEVER-

we set up this whole trolley problem. and yet. loki still found the good ending. sure he’s like sad and a little lonely or whatever. but he can still live with himself. i wish he’d been forced to make the choice between killing sylvie and allowing everything to disappear. it would have been devastating. it would have hurt in all the right ways. it would have been so j u i c y.

but- mad props to the writers for setting up this inevitable issue. even tho so many of the things in this season went entirely over my head, that was so easy to grasp. i don’t have any idea how the loom works. i do know that HWR designed the world so that his will would be carried out no matter what. and that’s a hard fuckin thing to do and those writers KILLED IT.

also- that tree was yggdrasil, right? like i feel like yes. very intrigued by it and thor’s implications. are we going to circle back to the first thor movie when he explained it to jane? maybe. i hope so. at what point in sacred-timeline time did loki become HWR? are there two lokis? HWR loki and actual loki? these are questions without answers.

✦ 1: The Lost Princess of Yggdrasil

TLDR: A lost avariel princess comes back from death to avenge the near extinction of her species, against her own wishes. As she gears up for an endless war, she has to choose between martyrdom and cowardice- though it seems, not for the first life.

✦ 2: The Book Keeper

TLDR: An author finds herself entangled in the middle of the faerytales her family has been in charge of writing for centuries, and has to decide if she wants to continue the same story or change the plot.

MATCH-UPS FOR ROUND 1

Here's how this is going to work: we'll be making a proper structured bracket starting round 2. For round 1, you won't know who anyone will go up against next!

We tried our best with the match-ups based on what we know about each character's popularity and the type of media it is, and the idea starting round 2 is to use round 1's results to make the brackets.

As before, here is the list of media in the tournament, in case you want to avoid spoilers for any of the media involved!

Polls will start tomorrow on July 8th at 1PM EST!! They will be in a randomized order, and 8 polls will be posted per day, every other day!

Note

I like zygarde 100% and why make a woman?

I'm assuming you mean like, why do they look kinda feminine in my redesign? So I was going off the sorta Norse vibes of the X/Y legendaries, Xerneas being inspired by Yggdrasil and the deer who feed from the tree, and Yvetal having similarities to the eagle jotunn Hræsvelg. So following this I made each stage of Zygarde with the children of Loki in mind:

Zygarde 10% being based on the wolf Fenris-

Zygarde 50% being based on the serpent Jörmungand-

and using the goddess Hel as the basis for the complete version. So in an incredibly long winded answer since I was inspired by a mythological figure who is female so my Zygarde has somewhat arguably feminine features but that doesn't necessarily make them a woman.

I know that went around the world a bit but hopefully that makes my design decision make sense! C:

Squad C (Cassini) Overview

I'm still a little shy in sharing things in a more explicit and candid manner, but I plan on starting EO3 soon so might as well start talking about EOCs before it piles up ToT

Starting off with the first in our timeline, we have Squad C (affectionately named Cassini by Alma) in Aslarga (EMD)! The third batch in a larger group of research aides, they're in charge of doing field research, while Squads A and B venture first into mystery dungeons themselves.

Putting this under a cut cuz it does get long!

"Petrina, better known as Petri, hails from an eastern archipelago kingdom, sent on a whim by her family to assist research efforts of the Yggdrasil trees. Exceedingly proud of her capabilities (and having the strength to show for it), she enjoys pushing herself, joining other squads to test out new equipment and prosthesis."

One of the most fun characters to play, to be honest! EMD is my first experience using a dedicated tank, and I never expected to have such fun with it. The 3D model helps a lot, I think. Seeing her turn and raise her sword is just way too cute. Admittedly her character is a work-in-progress, but I've noticed that she does what she wishes most of the time.

(Now that I think of it, I think EMD having active and dynamic representations of our characters helps a lot too and is just so ToT it makes me cry... I wanna have little them's in real life)

"A prosthetist from Tharsis, called to aid in the exploration efforts in Aslarga. Because his practice primarily deals with rehabilitation, Seth has to adjust himself to different responsibilities, such as immediate response and further treatment. Apart from this, he would often find himself catching to and worrying about the rest of his squad."

Obligatory frazzled medic insert. The guy always finds himself wondering whether or not he should heal his teammates, but they say they're fine. I don't always get to pilot him that often, but I suppose it's rather in-character given that he's the one who tries to look out for everyone, much to his own detriment.

The few times I did pilot him, he would run headfirst into traps or enemies, only to be saved by Alma later on. One funny moment was when I accidentally made him eat a sleeping pill in the third boss. (foreshadowing maybe. those are the wrong pills, Seth)

"An heiress whose family has strong ties to the Lagaardian research society. Much of Alma's work involves the cursory elemental explosion, earning her a reputation in her old schools. For a researcher, her senses are very sharp, making her a good fit for her group's assigned task."

One of the characters I pilot most often. Alma's portrait ingame totally doesn't reflect how she is as a person, and that's partially why I'm hiding this under a cut.

She tends to hang around in the front with Petri, and so is able to sling spells while Petri draws monsters to herself. They're a very fun combo honestly.

"A quiet young woman travelling from a reclusive clifftop village. Chikako has a knack for knowing when and where trouble is brewing, and so has the tendency to be drawn to such places; hence, how she got to Aslarga in the first place."

Admittedly my favourite of the four mains in Squad C concept-wise. While she is the youngest of them (21 vs late 20s-30), she manages to keep her wits about her throughout the treks through the mystery dungeons.

I noticed that she has the tendency to linger at the back, which means that she has more time to chill and observe their surroundings.

So far, I've met two NPCs that wished to join the group, a dancer and a landy. The writing of these characters is honestly so charming, I'm surprised.
