“That would make me look very suspicious.” El looked over at Lucas, trying very hard not to giggle as she spoke. “Joyce will see.” The fact that they were both adults now didn’t diminish the lure of the chocolate chip cookies cooling on the counter, or the fact -- at least not for El -- that Joyce had laid down the edict that they couldn’t have any until after dinner. “If two cookies are missing,” she said, “she will know it’s us. And she will probably know I took them.” She wiggled her fingers to indicate she meant with her powers, though she giggled to imagine the cookies zooming across the room toward them.

There was this feeling in the back of her mind, like a soft and careful caress. It was enough of a strange sensation that she completely stiffened for a few short moments, as her body was trying to process what this exactly was. Her blood was racing, rushing through her ears, and she was attempting to keep calm.

Something was not right, and she could feel that peace, which she had worked so hard to have for this little while, feeling worried that it would begin to crumble; as usually it always did... Not a moment for her to relax, ever. Whether it was from the government that had hounded her, or students are her schooling. When she could focus on searching, did she begin to look around her for whatever, or whoever, that had set her senses off.

This actually opens up...a lot of doors? Children of Hecate and Hermes may have the ability to shadow travel? It would be a lesser extent then Nico and Hazel, and it would definitely take longer to learn and control but like?? THATS SO COOL??

I kept thinking about this last night, how the entire "boyfriend" conversation happens within what feels like 24 to 48 hours for Clara (time in Doctor Who is tricky enough, please).

I know (I'm sure) it's intentional writing, but this entire thing starts with:

"Emergency, you're my boyfriend."

To 12 going "I'm not your boyfriend" and, knowing he called the present Clara from Trenzalore long ago, telling her "Better get that, it might be your boyfriend" because he knows Clara would've still accepted 11 as her boyfriend and only changed her mind when his face (and physical age) changed into something much older.

I just couldn't sleep, thinking about this.
