I know there was a rumor of a reboot after a 3-5 years hiatus, but I guess they're skipping the hiatus lol
I don't really have any strong thoughts about it (yet), but this feels a little unnecessary considering the show has been airing without any major hiatus since 2005
So are we supposed to call the new season 1 “New New Who” like New New York?

ok 1 more about the giggle and i swear im done
i love that 15 is pissed that the master was alone in fighting the toymaker the second time and lost and that he became reduced to a gold tooth. that what really urked him. like every time toymaker flaunted it, it was irking 14 briefly enough for 15 tut disapprovingly in poor sportsmanship
like you forced him to play a game while he was already kicked down by 13, it was never a fair game to start for the master and then he got turned into a gold tooth.
like he knows it wasnt a fair proposal for them on top of dying? that grinded his gears. mm anyway
love that its implied the master is gonna return but just that small bit? yeah.

My heart is so full, omg fantastic episode of Doctor Who and it made sense! Fan pandering? Yes to me, I'm the fan they're pandering to. Some spoilers under the cut.
-The binary/non-binary thing makes sense! I love that!
-Donna giving her money away because she's influenced by the Doctor who is a soft bitch
- The fact that he said he loved her, when he could barely say it to Rose 😂
-When Donna was flicking buttons, they were playing Matt's theme!
- Also, I like how Sean wasn't threatened about Donna going off with the Doctor cuz well, he is who he is.
- I love that Murray Gold is back, it feels epic again
- The way the Doctor was holding her when he thought she died.

what on earth happened to russell t davies. these last three doctor who specials have been so utterly CRINGE i felt my entire soul wrinkling up in second hand embarrassment. sure, even his first run had goofy monsters and silliness all around, but there were some really impactful, well-written episodes, too. but now the emotional moments don't land at all, the lines are utterly shite, the plot is exasperating ???
how do you bring back both david tennant and catherine tate and give them such subpar material to work with, i'd never leave my house ever again. i would throw my phone into the sea, go off the grid. RTD somehow fumbled each and every potential for any sentimental reunion between the two by giving them the most mediocre lines i've ever heard spoken on tv. i am genuinely baffled. i want the confidence of this man, to just bullshit my way through any job
neil patrick harris was operating at maximum capacity, too, but it's like RTD was DEAD SET on making this the absolute worst. i can't even go into that ending and regeneration. wtf did i just watch 😭
