Me: I shouldn't disturb Neil Gaiman. I shouldn't send an ask unless I really have no way of getting the information otherwise. I'll check old interviews and all the articles that vaguely mention the subject. Of course it goes without saying that I'll read though the FAQ in its entirety. Only then, will I send an ask. However, I'd be very polite and praise his work, as anyone would. I'd also keep it short, because I don't want to waste his time. But I'd keep it very very respectful. I'd be sending a message to a very talented, amazing author that deals with god knows how many like me. Or I'd just stay in the dark and not send him an ask. Yeah, I'll do that.

this isnt really related to anything but i am excited and just want to tell someone. i work at a garden center and im sort of just an assistant/odd jobs kind of employee but today im going to get annuals for us to sell from a giant nursery since its spring. my boss said for most of them, that i get to choose which ones we get!

i cant stand adventuring with necromancers 🤦♂️. you know what really gets to me? they never TELL you they're a necromancer. they always use some normal spells at first. like ice spike and shit. and then you turn around to look at your party and you notice there's one extra person there. yeeep. they resurrected the researcher that died before us and left a journal warning us of the incoming dangers at the dungeon. and you know you can't tell them shit. you hurt a wizards' feelings and they fireball you into a pile of dust while you're sleeping and cook a potion with your ashes. 🤦♂️
and before anyone says anything i dont have anything against conjurers. just wish more of them had the common fucking sense to summon elemental spirits or whatever.

I appologise if this has been answered before, but are there any surviving copies of your gangster SKIP AU? I remember it fondly, and was hoping to find it, but have failed. Is there any chance, if there is surviving copies somewhere, that I could look at it? I know it wasn't finished, but it was fun!
Also, just as an aside , I really adore literally all of your OC stuff!! And your fan stuff, but particuarly your OC stuff! I appologise if this makes you feel old, but I literally grew up reading your works. They were very integral to me and I love them and have loved them so much. Your short stories have wonderfully haunted me for years :) Your books are pride-or-place on my bookshelf I still need to attatch those patches to my jacket sometime... :) <3

I still like the idea (and have a story for it in my head) but decided that I didn't know enough about the sensitivity issues around mob culture to be confident about CLIP, and I found I wasn't ready to commit to Another web comic while TPoH was on the go, so it exists as a fun little experiment that might not get further than it has already! I am so glad you like my OCs and thank you so much for all your support and love! :D

I read your work The Princess and The Jester and I absolutely love it. I couldn't help but the pretty artwork and storytelling made me recall the movie The Thief and the Cobbler, and I wondered if you have watched it before? If you haven't, I recommend it I think you would love it.
I HAVE and I also had the ultimate honour of seeing the 'Cobbled Together' version on the big screen at Annecy, with Richard Williams present. It was such a moving event he got two standing ovations- once before the film, and the second after which truly felt like it was never going to end. It shook the stands! He was so humble and pleased about it. He also threw a paper airplane back off the stand and everyone went bananas (Annecy film festival has a tradition of paper airplanes. for real. PLEASE go once in your life if you can it's magical)
anyway I think that energy did go into making Arthur and Mesi even if it wasn't a conscious thing, and yeah that film is wild. Watch the ReCobbled version if you can: that's the one with parts of animatic and storyboard to account for missing parts of it. The official release wasss.... less good.

I know I don’t owe any of you anything but I still felt compelled to write about my long term absence. And I feel far enough away from the dangerous spot I was in to be able to make this comic. I have a therapist now, and she agreed that making this could be a very cathartic gesture, and the start of properly leaving these thoughts behind me. I am still, at seemingly random times, blindsided by fleeting desires to kill myself. They’re always passing urges, but it’s disarming, and uncomfortable. I worry sometimes that my brain’s spent so long thinking only about suicide that it’s forgotten how to think about anything else. Like, now that I've opened that door for myself, I'll never be able to fully shut it again. But I’m trying my best to encourage my mind in other directions. We'll see how that goes.
I am still donating all proceeds from my store to Palestinian causes. So far, I've donated over $15K, not including donations coming from my own pocket or the fundraising streams which jointly raised around $10K. In the time since I made my initial post about where this money would be going, the focus has shifted from aid organisations to directly donating to escape funds.
If you'd like to do the same, you can look at Operation Olive Branch, which hosts hundreds of Palestinian escape funds or donate to Safebow, which has helped facilitate the safe crossing and securing of important medical procedures for over 150 at-risk palestinians since the beginning of the genocide.
