I had an idea for a Magic Kaito story where Kaito was being blackmailed into being KID.

It starts with KID being caught and him refusing to cooperate. Instead he gives Nakamori a riddle to show to various detectives with a single hint to how to solve it.

“To break the code you must use what changed your life forever”

The riddle eventually makes it’s way to Conan and he realizes the key is APTX 4869. He decides the riddle and it says that he has information on the black organization, it’s operations, and it’s operatives. He will had over the information to him, but he has to come meet KID in person, and he has to bing everyone he trusts with the secret. It also says that if KID is going to reveal his secrets then Conan’s are coming out too. It also contains info on the black org as proof and incentive.

So Conan ends up meeting KID and brings Ai, Agasa, Judie, and Hattori. He trusts KID and has double checked everything. Also there ends up being Kogoro and Ran (because they won’t let Conan go alone) Nakamori and Hakuba because it’s KID and Megure, Satou, and Takagi for reason I haven’t thought of yet.

So everyone is in a secure room together and kaito hums that crow song (I don’t remember the name). Some people react some don’t. Kaito tells the ones that don’t react that it would be safer for them to leave now. They stay for various reasons.

Then Kaito starts tell his story.

He says it all starts with his Aunt Chris who his dad taught disguise to. Conan’s eyes go wide and some people notice. Kaito tells how sometimes Aunt Chris would babysit and teach him things like hacking, anatomy, poisons and chemicals, fighting, etc.

“And she would always say to keep it a secret from my parents. Her favorite reason for that was ‘a secret makes a woman a woman’” Kaito said and Judie gasped.

And that’s when they start explaining the black org to those not in the know.

Eventually Kaito gets back to his story. Chris kept coming over after his father died and the lessons got more intense. Then the KID room unlocked.

(Personally I want to call the KID room the playground. It fits the theme and rolls of the tongue better I think)

It went similar to the first episode but then Chris finds out as well as the organization and they start putting him to use. Kaito cooperated to keep the people close to him safe and give himself some freedom. Since he was Vermouth’s favorite they humored him. Let him do his own thing as long as he looked for the gem and did steal various things for them. They even gave him a name I don’t know what though. Eventually that order him to do something he couldn’t bring himself to do so he got caught.

He’s a good thief so he has lots of info on the organization. He is also hoping for a chance to punch snake.

The poison comes up at some point and Conan is revealed.

That’s about all I’ve got but I mostly like the idea of the people not in the know being through into the deep end that keeps getting deeper to the point where some people in the know are shocked. It would be awesome to see each characters reaction.

I also think it would be funny to see the reactions to some of the more bizarre things Kaito and Conan have been through.

Marcille is such an only child, she keeps getting annoyed at the most normal things siblings do
