I'm gonna take some time to digest and think about that comic before I come to a decision. The decision being whether to continue to support you or just leave you be.

You are on anon so I don't know if this is someone who I've talked to before, but either way, yes, no hard feelings. I completely understand. It's the internet, anyone can unfollow anyone for any reason, but also I know this is an uncomfortable topic and even triggering to some, and some people are just not here for that. I was contemplating posting it for a while for this reason.

I do kinda want to point out that the purpose was/is not to fetishize a relationship with a minor and I will never fetishize or glorify that ever. It's wrong and unhealthy even if there's no malicious intent present. (am pointing it out because I got a bunch of asks about it and I'm 🧍) But this is fiction, and I portrayed the scenes the way that I did mainly because I made the comic from Floyd's perspective and I wanted to get in his head and show what exactly he was feeling in that moment. If the end result makes you feel uncomfortable or "flustered" (I don't think I'm using the right English word) in a certain icky way, that was kind of the point and I believe should be a normal reaction from an adult.

I spent my high school years (normally 15-19yo, but it was more like 14-22+) living in a dorm in the country's capitol and I attended a vocational school for visual arts that is pretty notorious for having a drug problem (I'm talking about mostly weed) and being full of weirdos (students free and comfortable expressing themselves and experimenting with expressing themselves but weirdos is the used term lol). The dorm is also located very near the city's subcultural center (look up Ljubljana Metelkova if you want, it's kind of what I imagine the underground scenes the bandmates visit looking like) which is like a hangout place for subcultures like punks and metalheads and the lgbtq. Anyway coming from living my whole life in a rural village where I still played with toys to somewhere like that was an insane shock to me. I sometimes felt like a toddler around young adults in a big city. And it was whiplash for many other teens too, some of whom quickly fell into bad crowds and spiraled, often those who came from bad home situations or controlling parents (heck some even came from elementary schools already doing problematic things). The amount of rumors of things happening in that dorm and school (drugs, sex, messing around with older teens/adults, whatever)... (I'm not saying it was like a concerning percentage of students but it was happening) Some of these people who made some bad choices were and some still are my friends, some of whom still struggle with some things today and it's heartbreaking.

Anyway where I was going with this is that in high school I was always kind of the anti all of that (to the point it had the opposite effect on me where I didn't even try out the normal teenage things) and just thinking "what the fuck is wrong with these people?" And recently, when my headcanons for Floyd started going in the direction that they have, I started wondering the same thing. Just not in a judgemental way this time. More like I want to dissect this situation carefully and understand it from everyone's perspective and see what lead up to it. I've always been very fascinated by morally gray and dark fiction for this reason and this is right up that alley.

So yeah, this isn't for everyone, and I can't hold a grudge if anyone unfollows me for it. But what I'm doing here is inspired a lot by real life situations and my weird deep dives into articles about trauma and its effects (also pretty sure I'm also processing some of my own personal emotions through these blorbos but I am not going into that), and I feel like I'm taking a pretty realistic approach to it (if you ignore the fact that this is fucking Trolls). I'm just slowly exploring how a relationship between a teen who comes from a sheltered almost cultish upbringing (pop trolls live in a concentration camp and are dealing with the horrors by singing and enjoying every minute of their every day like life is a ticking time bomb) and a young adult who never got a chance to grow up because he never experienced a childhood and is suddenly being liked by someone for the first time in his life (I'll talk more about Les some other time), would develop into hopefully something okay for both of them. Because I do want them to both be okay in the end. And I'm sharing some of my brainworms online for anyone who's interested. I just can't share ALL of my brain worms and sometimes I forget that people don't have a view of what's going on in my head. Yeah... This answer became long for no other reason except that I can't sleep because I posted that comic, damn. That's what I get for dropping that bombshell on top of what was mostly fun "comedic" posts about the AU so far.

Now make no mistake! Foxy IS basically the big brother out of the 6. When it comes to his personality and his relations with the other animatronics.. he was always seen as the cool older brother that always knew what to do and how to cheer you up.

Foxy just gets picked on for being the "little brother" becuase he is shorter and significantly lighter than everyone else. So even little Chica was strong enough to pick him up and swing him around XDD

Also I have no idea how old the animatronics would be.. 💔 I just imagine that Foxy would be one of, if not the oldest!

Its all extremely vague, but I kiiind'a have an idea..??

Seafoam and Octo obviously met as little kids. They grew up side by side and when Foam wanted to get a ship and become a pirate? Octo followed him and became his first mate.

At somepoint after they picked up Ellie and Louis. Thiiinking that they knew Ellie before they got the ship and she joined them..? Not sure about Louis..

Now when it was just the four of them. They got caught in a great storm while out at sea. Blue Beauty saw this ship clearly struggling and in danger so she helped guide the ship to calmer waters. It was her help alone that prevented the ship from sinking. She probably secretly followed them around for a while before making herself more known and officially joining the crew.

Uhhhh Pinwheel, Coconut and Tuna were all troubled youths that were taken under Seafoam's/Octo's wing. Not really sure about Spider Crab..? But I'm thinking that he's the medic of the crew. Also not so sure about Cuddle or Urchin.. Though I'm thinking that this isn't Cuddles first rodeo. She could be an experienced pirate that somehow indebted herself to Seafoam..? Maybe once she paid her debt she stuck with the crew because they were neat? Though she seems like the crafty type.. She seems like she'd rather slip away undetected instead of staying to faithfully clear her debts.. Not sure about that one--

And Red is Seafoam's great nephew. He lost his mother/crew in some kind of tragedy which resulted in Seafoam taking him in.. Poor Red :((

Yeah, its was interesting.. but not for the reasons you'd think.

Papyrus recognized Seam and Jevil. He addressed them by name. He didn't approach them, seeing as Seam was very tense..

He said that he was happy to see them again. Explained how he worried about them, and was glad to see that they were both ok.

Seam and Jevil both looked like a deer caught in the headlights. If Jevil had the strength to do so, he might have just retreated with a mirror..

Sensing all this, Frisk tells the group Papyrus' story. Some of the group is skeptical, for the same reasons Seam was all that time ago.

But Frisk grantees the group that Papyrus is genuine. She says she has never met a kinder soul before. That no matter what timeline she may choose, genocide, pacifist, neutral.. Papyrus was always full of kindness to his very core. And that she believes his story 100%.

Grillby and River Person back this up. Saying that the Papyrus from their worlds was a very kind soul too..

Jevil is too exhausted to really process this much. But the horror of the situation settles on Seam. Realizing that Papyrus was actually a victim. They had the power to free him all those years ago. And they ran..

Its not addressed right away.. but eventually its brought up again. They both feel horrible for what they did. Leaving him to suffer alone for so many years..

But of course,, Papyrus's kindness never ends. It never broke or faltered after all this time. He forgives them. With all his soul he forgives them. He says he was never angry at them, he fully understands now why they left and he does not blame them. He's just glad to see that they're ok. And he's happy that he's not alone anymore. :}

I'm not sure if he has Polar Madness.. correct me if I misunderstood, but Google seems to say that Polar Madness is mostly about being sick of the people around you. Being with the same people for months would drive anyone crazy and make them super irritable.

It also talks about developing sleep disorders due to the strange night and day cycle. It mentions anger and depression too..

I'm thinking that the main two issues, sleep and irritability towards coworkers, aren't a problem for Natquik. For 1 he doesn't have any coworkers- but also he's an Arctic fox! He grew up in the Arctic. These strange night and day cycles are nothing new to him, in fact he was designed to live with these cycles! So I think he's safe there.

Now the depression part.. due to the extreme loneliness he must have felt eventually.. that could be a problem. But hey at least my version of Natquik has Marsh and Jack to keep him company XD

..oh wait, the Everglades. I wonder if Natquick would develop some kind of.. Florida Madness trying to deal with those different night cycles and living with those two morons for weeks XDD

Bibi picks chicken nuggets. Jangles picks bowtie pasta with cheese cubes and Miracle whip. Every time Cici tastes something new she claims its her favorite, so she hasn't really figured it out yet- maybe strawberries??

Gerald's favorite is celery. Mind you I did not draw any celery, and he has never tasted it before. But he has a very strong feeling that it is surly his favorite.

Re the weird divide in the Beetlejuice fandom, which I really don't get

Fandom is so strange. Just liking Beetlejuice himself as a character has invited all manner of unusual kinks and personal interests into the fandom, and hey, the more the merrier. Beetlefans and netherlings are an assembly of interesting weirdos, so like, you do you. And obviously, this means that you should try not to judge or make assumptions about others based on your own feelings about their interests. Riiiight?

So, Beetlebabes as a ship has been around since the beginning of the fandom, and it certainly seems likely not to be going anywhere with the sequel. Now, my own personal stance on the pairing lies straight in the middle. I think Lydia and Beej have a beautiful friendship in the animated series and musical. They're such a great comedic duo and there's something very pure and sweet about this girl and her bug-man. Their relationship in the musical IS colored by the fact that they're both using and tricking each other a lot of the time, but they seem to have a mutual respect on this point and don't let it ruin their friendship, well until the topic of moms comes up, anyway.

In the movie, it's more complicated. BJ is motivated primarily by his desire to be free and couldn't care less about Lydia's problems. He also gets just a tad creepy with Lydia, though he's not over the top about it. He claims that he thinks that she "really understands me", which is a frickin weird thing to say about a kid who you talked to for like five minutes. But the pervy implications are kept to a minimum so as not to drive the movie into darker territory. His motivations are still kept as primarily a green card thing, although the viewer is still pretty grossed out by the forced, child-bride marriage.

Re BJ, I don't see him as a human or someone who really follows human rules. He's a supernatural creature who has a vague, outsider's understanding of what being human means. Even interpreting him as a ghost and not a demon, he's too different from a human to remember what being one is like. In the musical and cartoon, he relates to Lydia from a child's pov, but tries to behave like an adult with the Maitlands. He's neither, though. He's an unliving, essentially immortal Thing. And while Lydia clearly has a lot of affection for "her monster", she's not exactly into this gross, stinky, creepy old guy. As for BJ, he's very attached to Lydia, perhaps unhealthily so, but he's not being a sexual predator with her.

However, as a Beetlefan, I've seen that it's pretty natural to pair the two up romantically. I certainly shipped them as a kid. And yeah, it's kind of a weird ship, but Beetlejuice as a concept is just weird, period. Weirdness and age gaps are hardly anything new or unique in any part of the internet. Teen fans ship characters their own age with much older characters all the time, and it's not usually frowned upon. But in the Beetlejuice fandom, there appears to be a lot of ship-shaming and accusations of p3d0ph1lia when it comes to this teen/ancient monster pairing, which I'm guessing is a lot more of an internet drama thing than about the actual pairing itself.

Now to be clear, I don't ship teen Lydia with anyone, but I also acknowledge that she's not gonna stay a kid and that things could change between them.

Personally I like the idea of Lydia and BJ being reunited after spending several years apart and things being super weird and tense based on their history. I've become primarily a fan of the relationship dynamic they have in the musical, so I see them as being distrustful of each other and competitive about getting one over the other. But they still gel in a unique way, and they can't help but enjoy their messed-up frenemy thing. And I think the awkwardness of the teen bride thing should be leaned into rather than forgotten or brushed away.

Lydia (to BJ): You really fucked me up, you know. I was just a sad kid who you manipulated. You fuckin creep.

BJ (to Lydia): Yeah but at least I didn't literally STAB YOU THROUGH THE HEART, so...point to me, there.

This type of prickly, antagonistic relationship is like catnip to me, honestly. So it's pretty disappointing and sad that all this fandom drama crap can and probably will affect my ability to share and enjoy beetlebabes content because "beetlebabes dni" appears on so many profiles and posts. It's the kinda thing that makes fandom culture such a double-edged freaking sword. Why can't people ever just let people enjoy the thing they like and try to be respectful of each other, ya know?

Thanks again for answering my ask and sorry to bombard you with these.

I absolutely agree with you about Bucky and Zemo on TFatWS. This might be long as I have so many thoughts about this. The series seems to fail to understand T'Calla wasn't just someone who helped Bucky although he was of course. He was his friend. The movies don't get everything right with Bucky but I think Bucky and T'Calla's relationship is one of the high points. We don't see them much but when you do you can tell Bucky respected T'Calla immensely and not just because he's a King. He seems to be really genuinely fond of Shuri as well, asking her to call him Bucky instead of the formal Sargeant Barnes.

I know I said it before, but the Wakandans are his friends/his protectors/his adoptive family. He is not just some white guy with colonialist arrogance who expects favours from the African State. If anything its the other way around- he fought because he felt he owed T'Calla and his family a debt.

As such- I do not think he would ever have helped the person who killed T'Callas father. Yes he didn't know T'Chaka, but that is his friend's father. Its like if he found out someone killed Steve's mother and worked with them. Like slapping his friend in the face, and I can't see him doing that.

Also, finally can we talk about how the show robbed us of the emotional impact of T'Challa's death on Bucky? He's sad about Steve leaving but I firmly believe would have grieved for T'Calla too. He's lost not one but two of his best friends within a very short space of time, so he's got grief alongside all his other problems to deal with. Don't know how that man managed to stay sane. Well relatively sane and didn't have a complete breakdown.

I love the idea that T'Challa and Bucky had a strong bond. I agree I think Ryan Coogler intended in that short post-credit scene to show that Wakandans have accepted Bucky as part of the family.

The kids are peering down curiously at him as he sleeps, and he doesn't startle, nor does he startle them when he wakes. There's a high degree of mutual trust there. He lives in their community, not in a boxed off high tech room like the one where he was put to sleep. They dressed him in their ethnic clothing and colour-coded it to match Steve. Someone tied (and probably combed) his hair for him when he didn't have a prosthesis. Someone has folded a blue shawl and tied it into a pretty sling to protect the stump of his arm. This is the image of a guy that was being well looked after -- not just in an impersonal, we gotta keep him alive kind of way, but in a what can we do to make his life better kind of way, and if that isn't some sort of family I don't know what is.

I mean...compare with this costume...that looks like some random sweatshirt from some sports brand worn backwards with the extra fabric pinned and pulled over tautly over his right shoulder, complete with the soft elastic cuffs and the weird neckline. Coogler put more effort into a 30 second cameo than TFATWS did for one of Bucky's most emotionally poignant scenes in a series where he's the main character. Sorry I'm never going to pass on an opportunity to shit on the series.

And like yeah, while I don't ship T'Challa and Bucky (I really like T'Challa with Nakia in the MCU), I think they're an underrated dynamic. They strike me as somewhat similar in temperament? Both peace-loving, respectful and compassionate guys, who have a strong sense of loyalty and a fierce streak when someone they love is hurt. And both Bucky and T'Challa are older brothers to younger sisters, and they both have that oldest kid sense of weary responsibility. And for someone who was broken out of 70 years of brainwashing by being reminded of a promise he made, Bucky clearly has a strong sense of loyalty and responsibility.

So yeah, it makes no sense to me that Bucky would actively do something so personally hurtful, so disloyal and irresponsible to T'Challa, without adequate justification.

As for the mourning, yeah. At the time they didn't know how Coogler was planning to write T'Challa out of the story, so that might be why the mourning wasn't in there. To be honest, Bucky's feelings about Steve was handled poorly too. As I've mentioned before, the series avoids actually addressing how Steve's departure played out. Sam and Bucky are sad about Steve's absence, but never talk about the hurtful way Endgame!Steve abandoned both of them, which is far more emotionally relevant. They talk about him as though he had died in a noble sacrifice, not dumped the world on them and went to mess up someone else's timeline.

Ah! Thank you for the ask dear heart! Let's see...

Of course I have fics that are still deep in my drafts, and I also have a few unfinished fics currently published ON Ao3.

I don't really regret not publishing certain fics because it's not really a matter of if more than it is a matter of when. A few of these old ideas just need way more fleshing out and just aren't ready for the limelight.

And that "not if but when" mindset is carried over to my unfinished fics as well, like Baby Face and YWIW.

They'll eventually be completed. (Although tbh, I'm not so sure about ywiw now, may have to go and really take a good long look at that one and the goals I want to achieve with it. For YWIW, I guess I regret some of the choices I made with Frisk's character arc. Like I accidentally walked back on things that I shouldn't have. Sequels are hard, y'all.)

Now for my other UT ships? Hmmmm...

I'm gonna come out the gate swinging and say that I, first and foremost do not ship Asgore and Toriel. I think their dynamic is more interesting as a divorced couple. Boom. That'll stir the pot some.

(I have a lot of weird UT ships tbh)

Now, moving on to what I actually ship:

Asriel x Papyrus / Papsriel / Boneblossom

This stems more from how I wrote their dynamic in wdyw part 4 + ywiw. See, when Frisk and Sans are off doing hard main character work, Papyrus and Asriel were alone together a lot, working through both of their collective daddy issues together (their fathers were big ole villains and they were consoling each other about their relationships with their fathers, it was actually very sweet) Ergo, I began to ship.

But also, if you look at the game, there are instances of Asriel and Papyrus befriending, and Asriel manipulating him, or growing fond of Papyrus in his own way as Flowey. Yeah there's the problem of "well technically Asriel is a child!" Which like... Okay, he's also dead and immortal at the same time. In wdyw he died at an older age so... 🤷🏻‍♀️ It depends on where you take the story. I could also just ship them platonically. So yeah!

Undyne x Alphys / Alphyne

This one is obvious. They're canon. They're beautiful. I love gay people. I love lesbians. I am a gay people. I am a lesbian. I love them.

Also, low-key, I also just like to explore more of their dynamic than just lovey dovey sapphic stuff. The highs and the lows. And they're perfect to do that with.

Nick x Sans / Nicecream Guy x Sans

This one is unorthodox, but it's because of Baby Face. They're so gay in that fic like it's unbelievable. If not Sans, then definitely Nick. Like they've definitely explored each other's bodies at least once.

Also in wdyw, they have a more complex, complicated friendship since they're more like long lost friends, and the whole "you betrayed our ideals by joining Asgore's military" and Nick "you joined a rebellion that will never win, you've doomed yourself to martyrdom." Sans saving Nick from prison & the purge, ugh, they're so complex, I love em!

Nick is definitely gay. I know we were pushing for Alick but honestly... That boy is gay. And I really believe that. I think the only better pairing for him would be Napstablook, or... And I guess I'll concede to years of shipping before me... Burgerpants/Bryan. Because Bryan has that like, newly joined rebellion, starry eyes, just found out his crush was brutally murdered by one of Muffet's assassins, etc, and then there's Nick, shining hero of the revolution. I think it could work really well.

Muffet x Toriel / Muffriel / Spiderscotch

Bro even the name screams lesbian, wtf? This is like Everlark's alternative ship name being peenis.

BRO THEY LIVE IN THE RUINS TOGETHER, MUFFET SET UP SHOP IN THE RUINS. TORIEL BAKES PIES AND MUFFET BAKES FUCKED UP SPIDER DONUTS. THEY'RE A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN. (And I'm purely talking about classic, but who's to say that wdyw Muffet wasn't sneaking into the queen's chambers after killing her own husband and poisoning Toriel's daughter right under her nose? UGH THE DRAMA!!!!)

Ugh, I love my gay ships.

Anyway, Toriel is the sweet, albeit very flawed, old money, cottage core wife, and Muffet is the manipulative, borderline Machiavellian, macabre, new money, goth wife and they're PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER. I've never been more serious in my life.

Anyway, those are my UT ships that are not Frans. Don't come for me, I know they're unconventional (except for Alphyne) but I love them each dearly.

I have been thinking about the way he brings up Issachar to Flynn a lot recently and I think it's like... It is ultimately manipulative right. Like he is at the end of the day bringing up Flynn's dead friend whenever he's trying to get Flynn on his side like yeah he's using that tragedy to appeal to his emotions and especially in the YPR scene he's just flat out saying "If my worldview is fulfilled, what happened to Issachar will never happen to anyone else". But I don't think it's just like "Oh I'm just going to say whatever I have to in order to get this guy on my side" I think he really does believe it like he always has this sense of camaraderie with Flynn because they're both casualries throughout the whole game and I think he probably saw himself in Issachar in his last moments which is why this one at shen duque has been sticking with me because he's directly repeating Issachar's last words about "changing this rotten world". Like I think that did genuinely affect him and him invoking Issachar and his fate the way he does is his way of being like, his way of trying to get Flynn to understand what he believes to be true, that his world will never result in that kind of injustice again. IN MY CUTE LITTLE OPINION AS THEY SAY

Waves crashed against the side of the ship, gently rocking it. The cool night breeze made you shiver. Although, watching the ocean under the moonlight as the crews' muffled voices filled the normally peaceful air was worth being cold. You felt at home this way.

There was a party going on. It wasn't for anything big. Some townspeople told Shanks about a holiday their people celebrated around this time and your captain took full advantage of that.

You smiled over at Benn as he approached you. He used to really intimidate you when you first joined the crew, but now his tall form and stoic expression make you feel at peace.

“Care if I smoke?” He asked. You shook your head in response.

The crew gave you a sense of security you never thought you'd have. They made you feel like you belonged, and you'd do anything to keep them.

"Got bored of Shanks' rambling?" He asked, looking down to meet your eyes.

"It's like the only thing he can talk about is that one kid he met years ago."

The older man chuckled, "Just wait till you meet him."

"What about you? You already done drinking?" You questioned.

"I'm tired tonight." He shrugged, "Besides, I'd rather be standing out here with you."

"Aren't you sweet," You spoke, grinning as you leaned on the railing of the boat.

"I mean it. I like talking to you." It might've been the alcohol, but your face heated slightly at his words.

"Whatever." You muttered, averting your attention back to the water.

You tensed slightly when you felt one of his large calloused hands rest on top of yours. You glanced up at him, watching as he took a drag of his cigarette. Your heart started to pound a little quicker in your chest.

There was about a 20-year age gap between the two of you. You had always had a sort of crush on the graying man but figured that it'd never be reciprocated.

"S-So, when do you think we'll get to the next island?" You stuttered, still a little flustered and desperately wanting to change the subject to avoid getting any more embarrassed.

"Yassop was saying about a week," He began, "I think it'll be a little less than that though." His thumb rubbed circles on your knuckles, not helping your flushed state. “Is this ok?” He questioned, noticing how nervous you seemed to be.

You nodded, “Y-Yeah, it’s fine.” You responded, forcing yourself to relax.

You'd be lying if you said you never imagined a scenario like this in your head. Of course, you were a lot more confident in your daydreams.

“Oohhh~ Hey, guys get out here! We've got some love birds on our hands~” Shanks shouted, stumbling over his feet slightly as he approached you both, pushing you closer to Benn. Benn wrapped a protective arm around you to stabilize you as you fell into him.

“Watch it, Shanks, your drunk.”

“Relax big guy, I know my own strength,” Shanks claimed, throwing his arm around Benn. “So are you guys together~” The pirate slurred, his breath reeking of alcohol.

"Look at how flustered (Y/N) is, of course, they're together." Lucky Roux Chimed in, coming to stand with the rest of you.

"Leave us alone, we're not together," Benn argued, flicking the cook's forehead.

The two drunk men just laughed, enjoying annoying their first mate. You managed to sneak away from them, getting tired of their teasing. You'd find Benn later that night to talk with him again. This party probably wasn't going to end till tomorrow afternoon anyway.

My Beef With Barbara Gordon

I'll start off by saying this isn't any hate post to the character, merely an analysis because although she's never really stood out to me, i believe she's an interesting character and I'd like to share my point of view and if possible hear others' takes on her too

the basics, babs is the daughter of commissioner gordon and the first batgirl, later taking on the mantle of oracle (usually because of the killing joke thing, which I'll address later on)

usually the reason i don't get along with most representations of babs is because she's mostly written to be "the girl bat" instead of "the bat girl". I've only seen some clips from btas but i can mostly tell that's the case. it's a smurfette syndrome classic. i apologize if I'm getting the wrong idea out of it, though, as i said, I didn't watch the series.

when she's not written as such, she can be a good character. i love her version of the harley quinn show, i think it fits what I'd usually expect out of batgirl//oracle, a computer nerd who wants to help people and might be a little impulsive, but means well. though there's not much media of her where she's like that.

and although she's not exactly like that in the lego batman movie, i think that version is also pretty good (not when she's introduced, i think she gets better when she shows bruce that she's batgirl and yk, badass and such). not a computer nerd and also a bit older, but i think she's pretty neat.

I'll admit the fact she gets with bruce in the timmverse (specifically in the timmverse) pisses me off... age gap things are not my thing and it feels like grooming, i believe that's why it's not a very popular ship for either but the fact it's official in at least one dc media makes me sweat (cough cough and they say superbat is a stretch cough cough /j)

like i just mentioned with the lego batman movie, i have no problem with it when they're about the same age or, idk, at least he doesn't meet her as a teen or whatever. I'm not crazy for finding this weird, right?

and there's the fact she dated dick on the timmverse as well, which makes me even MORE uncomfortable. if it was me dating my father's previous lover, for example, I'd probably take that as a weird thing. dick is already traumatized enough, thank you very much.

and also she's bruce's friend's daughter? that's not so weird, i myself have friends who are way older or way younger, but it be creepy af to see one of them dating someone my age, specially if it was someone close to me, I'd be very concerned and it'd take a while for me to get used to it.

but yeah, if it's an au or multiverse shenanigans, it can be alright.

and then comes the killing joke thing... honestly, I don't know what to do out of it. I'm a new dc fan, I've been for nearly six months now, and I can't really decide how to feel about it.

on one hand, oracle is badass and shows that it doesn't take superpowers or immense dexterity or inhuman strength to be a hero. i respect her a lot, and when she's written well like in wfa, i appreciate her character as is.

but the killing joke itself... it doesn't make much out of barbara, and focuses more on her father and personally i think that sucks. i know it must hurt for a dad to see his daughter paralyzed, but joker using it as a means to make him snap doesn't seem, idk, very jokery. even with the picture things, i think babs in that situation is used more as a plot device than as a character and it makes me uncomfortable idk.

and then they made her able to walk again...? honestly that's where i lost it. there are too many versions of batgirl//oracle in my head already and that just made me more confused??

so the reason I don't like her as much is because she lacks consistency, every time I'm reading about her i gotta guess which version is it and every single piece feels more like au fanfiction of itself. like, okay, i do enjoy those, but if I'm seeking something official it's hard to understand where it's at.

but i still love her with every cell in my body when she's written like the true sarcastic girlboss that she is <3

So like, ignoring Korra and the comics ofc, cos they're bad, lol, I've been thinking. Sokka, being the Chieftain's son and eldest child of the Southern Water Tribe, sets to inherit that role and position. In general, I personally can't see Sokka abandoning this duty when he gets older either; he would be an integral part of rebuilding his tribe, and I believe that would be for life and in marriage too. But I can't see any of his potential romantic pairings in the show really fitting this future. What do you think? Do you think Suki would be likely to leave the Kyoshi warriors for the South Pole? I feel like she's the most obvious contender but also somehow I'm not sure, if her duties lie to Kyoshi, how would that story go down if she chooses Sokka? Or to indulge in other popular Sokka ships lol- Toph and her bare feet ≠ not a good combination with perpetual ice. Azula would ironically work and also be hilarious, but still, it's Azula, so not necc best for her even if I do have a peculiar taste for that crackship. What do you think? In like, ideal canon, how would you write both the long term future of the Southern Water Tribe and their Leadership, and also Sokka's direction with relation to this, and his er, romantic future? (Ofc we all know that Katara marries Zuko and becomes Fire Lady in any timeline ;)) I've read all your ATLA fics, they're some of my favourites, but a lot of them are AUs that focus on more pressing issues ofc than the rebuilding of the Water Tribe in a time of peace, and after the War. Although I do like your alternative approach in Fate Deferred, for example, and Sokka X Spirituality, what are your thoughts on this in a more... idk... normal setting or situation?

It's an interesting question. In Fate Deferred, Sokka actually mentions in Chapter 20 that Hakoda objected to the idea of him marrying Suki precisely because he believes Sokka, as the future chief, needs a Water Tribe wife. In Sin and Duty, I deliberately avoided any reference to Suki or whether Sokka is married or not for the same reason I avoided naming Zuko's wife, namely that answering those questions was beyond the scope of the story and I preferred to leave it open to interpretation in that case. Finally, in Peace & Love, which is probably the most canon compliant of my AUs, there are a few references to Sokka and Suki's relationship being a source of contention because Suki doesn't want to live at the south pole.

So yeah realistically I do think this would be an issue for Sokka and Suki, though not one they couldn't overcome. Other pairings for Sokka, while they might be fun to explore in an AU, seem a lot less likely. If Sokka ended up with someone other than Suki in canon, it would probably be a woman from the Southern Water Tribe we otherwise haven't heard of.

I'm bored and sleep deprived so as the self proclaimed captain of this ship I decided to make this using a template I saw going around. More indepth rant/explanation below if anyone has a semblance of care about this stupid crackship.

Now time for a more indepth explanation about the graph and how I head canon these two. Or what I like to call it: UNDERSTAND MY SHIP IN 20 MINUTES OR MORE!

(Warning: lots of head canons although I try to keep my head canons somewhat reasonable within each of the characters respective canons. Also this is a long winded explanation)

Height difference—Skitzo can seemingly change his size so I guess his real height is "it depends" yet I like to imagine he ranges from 6ft-8ft although I put down 8ft just because. As for Oswald, in Epic Mickey we see the statue he recreated with him holding Walt's hand and Walt was 5'10 according to Google and in the statue he goes up to Walt's waist. I'm sure one could do actual math on how tall he is yet to me he's 3ft with his ears giving him an extra foot.

Age—Oswald was created in 1927 and according to a comic where Skitzo gets a job as a janitor he was born in 1918. I imagine being with someone a bit older than him would actually make Oswald happy, it would make him feel like less of a relic and helps him be less self conscious about his age.

Sexuality—Oswald is bisexual yet leans more towards women, this would explain his relationship with Fanny and marriage with Ortensia. As for Skitzo I put down pansexual although truth be told I don't think he'd care about labels? He's a demon and is noted to be depraved, he probably doesn't care about labels of sexuality and he'll take what he can get.

Horny level—Oswald is a rabbit and has 420 kids. Skitzo is noted to be "the eye of the pervert" and he indulges in the depravity of humanity, yeah their levels are self explanatory. I don't think Oswald is overly flirtatious or forward or anything, yet I imagine when Skitzo is being overly forward Oswald would lean into it without a second thought.

Awkwardness level—Skitzo isn't really expressive considering he has the same blank grin 24/7 plus Oswald can't understand his "language". This communication difficulty would make Oswald worry sometimes because he can't get a good read on Skitzo's emotions, although Skitzo is pretty straightforward and despite being mute is rather good at communicating physically. Oswald's awkwardness stems from him overthinking more than anything.

Jealousy level—I don't think neither of them would be jealous. Despite Skitzo having anger issues and psychopathy he wouldn't be jealous if Oswald hung around other people at all. He'd still threaten/hurt whoever Oswald is hanging around with, although that's just because he's insane and has no relation to jealousy. Oswald also has no reason to be jealous of those who Skitzo hangs with, mainly because they are either victims or other demons. In fact Oswald would probably want Skitzo to make normal friends with other toons and to be more social although I doubt he'd have success in helping him.

Spooning—the size difference explains the levels well enough. Although I do imagine Oswald would love to cuddle, he'd constantly have to remind Skitzo to be gentle in the way he holds him because Skitzo is incredibly strong and forgets his own strength.

Clothes—they both wear a singular pair of shorts, Skitzo wears his shoes although he never really takes them off. If they needed to wear different things I'd imagine they'd pull new clothes outta thin air, they're toons, so yeah that's not applicable to this ship.

Pet names— I'd like to imagine Skitzo does use pet names, calling Oswald something like "bun-bun" or other cheesy rabbit related stuff, yet only demons can understand him so most of the time he doesn't even speak. Although if Skitzo were to ever introduce Oswald to other demons he'd refer to Ozzie as something cute. Oswald also has shown clear love for pet names in the way he talks to Ortensia so if he was with Skitzo nothing would change, he'd still think of cute stuff to call his boyfriend.

Introverted/extroverted—Oswald or at least his classic appearance screams extrovert to me so that's what I imagine. He still needs time to recharge after going out and isn't an avid party person, yet still social. As for Skitzo it's weird? Skitzo keeps to himself although is no stranger to being curious and seeing what others are doing, he outwardly peeps on other demons down in hell aswell. He's a weird middle ground.

Affection—as mentioned before Skitzo talks yet Oswald can't understand him this would mean he'd have to show all of his affection via actions. Oswald is a bit different with him being very lovey dovey and would constantly compliment Skitzo although as a byproduct of his time in the silent era he's more familiar with actions speak louder than words and goes out of his way to show love.

Confession—I don't think either of them would "confess" proper. Skitzo would demonstrate his love first and Oswald would reciprocate, Skitzo is more forward with his love though which is why I ranked him higher. I like to imagine one day Oswald just realizes they have been dating for a good while and goes "wait, are we a thing?" And Skitzo just shrugs as an answer.

Bugs—Oswald would in no way be scared of a bug although he's more inclined to gently let the bug go. Unless it's a roach or something, in that case he'd be all for killing it. Skitzo on the other hand is a trade marked psycho so he'd probably let the bug go, follow it to find the nest, and then proceed to massacre all of the bugs with his knife only.

Driving—Oswald can drive, it's how he met Ortensia originally and we see him several times drive cars. I do think Skitzo CAN drive a car, problem is letting a crazy demonic bear behind the steering wheel would likely lead to consequences so Oswald doesn't let him.

Cooking—Skitzo can cook, problem is his ingredients are still twitching when they're being cooked, because of this Oswald takes care of dinner usually and is a pretty good chef.

PDA—both are really keen on demonstrating their love in public for different reasons. Oswald just loves to show how much he loves Skitzo. Skitzo himself is just unaware of normal societal standards and him showing love to Oswald in public is just him doing what he likes. Because of his obliviousness Oswald has to teach Skitzo sometimes on what is and isn't okay to do in public, Skitzo would probably have troubles adjusting with how hell was and how earth is and the difference between their respective norms yet he makes an effort to learn.

Protectiveness—both of them worry about the other deeply, Skitzo is aware of the horrors of both earth and in hell and how hell denizens can occasionally come to earth so he's scared his presence would put Oswald in danger. He's also scared on if one day he'll lose control of his psychopathy and hurt Oswald, because of this Skitzo does his best to shield Ozzie from what goes on and considering his demonic powers he does a good job at scaring anyone who'd wanna hurt his boyfriend away. Oswald worries about Skitzo in the same way, his fears are less warranted and he isn't fully aware how messed up Skitzo can be, yet he still cares. Ozzie will also lash out on anybody who makes a negative comment on Skitzo's appearance and is hellbent on defending Skitzo, Skitzo finds this hilarious and let's the rabbit go off while sitting back and enjoying the show.

Experience—Oswald was in a relationship with Fanny, and also had a pretty solid marriage with Ortensia so his experience is pretty high and he knows exactly how to be a great partner. Skitzo has no real experience, he's more familiar with the concepts like lust and degeneracy then love and romance so he kinda just follows along and does his best to be the best boyfriend he can. His best is NOT perfect, yet he tries and Oswald is appreciative of that.

Oswald has been a hyper fixation of mine for a bit and at the same time I got into old cartoons I refound Skitzo who originally I thought was nothing more than a nightmare, come to find out nope! Skitzo's animations just traumatized me when I was younger and I repressed his existence. As a now lover of edgy things I've come to adore Skitzo and the entire lore of In The Dark and as a result this ship was created as a simple crossover between my two favorite characters. At first this ship was created by me as a stupid joke yet slowly I've created more and more for it to the point I even wrote a god awful fic about it that I look at in disgust every day (it still got like 3 kudos tho so I guess there's an audience for truly everything 乁⁠(⁠ ⁠•⁠_⁠•⁠ ⁠)⁠ㄏ). Skitzo as a character is a irredeemable monster, however interestingly enough there's moments in hisn animations demonstrating he doesn't wanna kill 100% of the time. Only 80% of the time. I found this aspect interesting enough to come up with the hypothetical idea "what if Skitzo did find someone he truly liked, and what if he lived in constant fear he'd accidentally lose control and hurt them?". This idea has some of that good angst I adore in any ship, the idea of Skitzo fighting against his inner wants to murder and desire for blood and death in order to live a normal life with Oswald is both sad and cute too me. Oswald would also be fully aware of the dangers that being with Skitzo would entail yet he stays with him out of love and belief Skitzo can be better. This belief is dead wrong and sadly murder is just built into the bear's primary function, yet he nonetheless tries to lessen Skitzo's murderous desires. I maybe one day wanna elaborate on an AU on these two being together and their dynamic yet I already have another AU that has Oswald in it I'm writing about.

Idk how to end this as that's really all I got for now, if you've read this entire thing uhh: sorry? Yeah that's an appropriate end. I'm sorry.

although i do want to say that i dont really do many ships either so my ideas may not be sparkling... nevertheless it is a fun ask and i want to do it

i will try to keep big spoilers out of it for once!

ill mostly leave aside canon i think

ships i like:

sodachi/tsubasa: this ones a shout out to you. but also. it is very good... i always think of that idea of them bonding over cooking. not only would they be good for each other with each able to provide the kind of support they'd both need, but i think they'd understand each other too. its good 😌

hitagi/ougi: i dont think i would like this one seriously but its just really funny to imagine. araragi crying in the background, ougi being so confused... its so fucking funny

hitagi/tsubasa: i know this one doesnt work bc like the whole point is that its unrequited and all... but i still think its cute. two best friends and they're gay for each other? that's wonderful. i love it.

koyomi/shinobu: weirdly i do like it. wouldnt say i necessarily like it more than the canon koyomi/hitagi but theres something i can appreciate about how theyre stuck immutably together, bonded forever... once koyomi gets older we dont know how his lifespans gonna work, so theres something there about being lonely and solitary in the world except for just one person who you'll always be with whether you like it or not. it's not exactly a sweet or romantic type thing but its more like a 'you're all i have' melancholy sort of thing.... and thats interesting to me

tsukihi/nadeko: the classic i love this one yeah. i dont even think it'd be a super healthy relationship given how tsukihi is.... tsukihi. but thinking about how nadeko has been pining over her for so long i think itd be interesting, especially considering tsukihi would definitely not be as infatuated with nadeko as nadeko would be with her. and nadeko would have to put up with so much for it... they'd probably break up like every other week because of tsukihi's fickleness, or like have whole periods where they dont talk and nadeko thinks theyve broken up or are fighting and tsukihis just being tsukihi. 'the things nadeko does for love' is basically how i think of it. maybe she'd be better off just moving on... poor nadeko. not very good luck when it comes to love...

suruga/higasa: ok i said i wouldnt talk about spoilers so i wont talk about this one much. but i think they'd be cute together. i like how higasa sees through suruga. i think itd be super cute if she was teasing her out of like a crush. they should kiss

also any like specialist/specialist stuff i'd probably like, just bc we get so little of those guys that its cool to play around with their dynamics. maybe like yozuru/tadatsuru for like a kinda rarepair rivalry dynamic... i could see them as a divorced couple maybe. but really just. any of them. hell maybe theyre even a polycule who knows.

and also rouka/suruga is good but i dont really have any thoughts on it per se, i just like it a lot. its complex... its bittersweet... ya feel

ships i dont like:

koyomi/tsubasa: yeah p much everyone's talked about why this would never work. i might almost like it for like, the angst it would bring but i think it doesnt quite reach there either so its just meh.

koyomi/ougi: m..m... dont like it.. dont like it. i think their relationship is so much more interesting the way it already is so i dont really feel the need to see them in a romantic one yk. i dont think it would be good for either of them either... they will just stagnate if they stick around each other. and also this is like maybe not so applicable bc anything is possible in the ship world but. these two just would never. they dont see each other like that yk. if im looking from an analysis lens here, the camera which is mostly under koyomi's perspective that licks and slobbers over all the girls never does that for ougi. despite him thinking shes like "bewitching" (appearance wise but also probably in the other sense too lol) or w/e. i could write more about this and the harm i think it would do but it'd get spoilery and become a dissertation so ill leave it at this. ummm... dont like it. :p

deishuu/hitagi: ok i see people talking about this one a lot so i just have to put my foot down.. i think its meh. i think its whatever. i think kaiki is not and was not interested in her, and just saw her as a brat who was infatuated with him. and while i do think its possible or maybe even probable that hitagi was infatuated with him while he was scamming her bc she saw him as a savior... i dont think the infatuation would have been that strong. maybe just a little crush, but nothing serious. i wouldnt go so far as to call it love yk, if those feelings were there... and on the idea of that 'if,' i also think its way more interesting if kaiki only THINKS hitagi was infatuated with him when really she never was because it shows the flaw in his perception. like thats the kinda perspective cool thing i like in the monogatari series... thats why i like how its so vague in canon too. the ambiguity makes this dynamic interesting imo

suruga/karen: kind of dont have strong feelings about this one but i cant really see it. i dont think they'd be the right dynamic for each other and it'd become awkward...

Used to write for Dragon Ball Z and Red Dead Redemption 2. Now I just write for Baldur's Gate 3.

Yeah, I try to respond to most of them, although sometimes when it's just one word, I'm not sure what to say, haha.

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably Midnight Rendezvous, and that one isn't even that angsty because I wrote a sequel to give Arthur x Reader a happy ending, haha.

7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

The majority of my fics have a happy ending (wink wink nudge nudge). But seriously, which would I say has the absolute happiest? Hmmm... Probably The Light That You Shine, which is my only John Marston x Reader fic, strangely enough. I think I put the characters through some shit and they come out very happy at the end.

8. do you get hate on fics?

Not that I'm aware of?

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

Do I write smut? HAH. I write nothing BUT smut, my dear. Well, with a few exceptions. As for what kind of smut? Not sure how to answer that. I write between canon characters and between canon character & reader, and I've got some OC x OC stuff too. Or is the question more like what genre of smut? I've probably written most kinds (soft & gentle, hard & rough, and everything in between).

10. do you write crossovers? what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Well. I could lie and say I don't. But unfortunately in high school I wrote a DBZ-Sailor Moon-YYH crossover, and I regret its existence.

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of...

12. have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope! But if someone wanted to do it, they have my blessing!

13. have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes, with the wonderful @shootybangbang

14. what’s your all-time favourite ship?

Hmmmm.... All-time, you say. I'd have to say... probably Vegeta x Bulma. Even after all this time.

15. what’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have a OC x Arthur fic that I really liked making the story for, but it'll forever live as a few drabbles cobbled together. Oh Grace, you'll never get a full fic and I'm sorry.

16. what are your writing strengths?

I've been told that I know when to summarize plot points so that the story doesn't drag on for too long. Also I've been told that my smut writing is some of the best, for its clarity and hotness. I'll accept that compliment, haha!

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

Not descriptive enough at times. The most comments I get on my Google docs from my friends are "elaborate more on this point". Totally fair! And personally, I think I have the writer's equivalent of 'same face syndrome' that some artists have. Like my "reader" character tends to be pretty same-y through a lot of my Arthur x Reader fics...

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

If a character is using another language, I try to make sure that there is a reason for it, that it isn't just for flair. For example, if I have a character blurt something out in another language suddenly, then it means they've been thrown off guard and are going back to their first language. Or if two characters are speaking another language together, then they're either hiding something from others, or they grew up that way and are falling back to old habits.

19. first fandom you wrote for?

Oof, I had to go back to some archived files to figure this out. Probably Yu Yu Hakusho, back in 1999, although I suspect I had some older fics in the Gundam Wing fandom, but I don't have any digital evidence of them, I think they were on a GW Mailing List from Yahoo, of all places.

20. favourite fic you’ve written?

Isaactor:

• when or if I started shipping it.

After reading both mangas. I went from "huh, they don't interact as much as I thought" (game only), to "ohhh Isaac absolutely had a crush, it's canon" (MF manga), to "so you two were banging, weren't you" (PtR) like, have you seen the way they look at each other while fighting. man

• my thoughts:

I think they could have been good friends, even boyfriends, had they met anywhere but in Dracula's castle. The problem is that Dracula's castle was the only place that could accept them.

At first their differences drew them to each other: Isaac brought Hector out of his shell and acted as his senpai, Hector restrained Isaac from getting into serious trouble (not all the time lol). They'd banter and flirt and grow closer to each other, believing that only they could understand each other like no one else would.

But then, as they grew older, those same differences drew them apart. Hector became proud if not a touch arrogant. Isaac became too unsympathetic. Isaac also lashed out in pain over being the unfavorite one, while Hector felt alienated for his rebellious thoughts. And eventually, they realized... that they never truly connected after all. They just thought they did because they had no one else.

anyway i love the divorsties <3

• What makes me happy about them:

Imagining them when they were younger and full of hope :'D

• What makes me sad about them:

Imagining them when their relationship is nearly destroyed but they aren't divorced yet and they're forced to live with each other and futilely look for companionship and understanding :'D

Also, two prequels, and neither of them had scenes where we could see what their actual relationship was like >:( bruh >:(

• things done in art/fic that annoys me:

Ukefying Hector and semefying Isaac. Again, no, you're missing the point. Just because Isaac is more sexually charged it doesn't mean he's suddenly a god of sex. (I also personally disagree with the take that the dude whored his ass around the castle and was already experienced by the time he jumped on hector, because bro, when you live with mr. pretty silver hair, your standards are going to be raised to the stratosphere :P)

• things I look for in art/fic:

That sweet sweet tragedy of a friendship cut down in its prime 💖

• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

Hector with Rosaly lol. Isaac... I don't think he's ready for a relationship in general. although i still have a soft spot for isaavor

• My happily ever after for them:

I like to imagine that Hector secretly fantasized about running away from the castle with Isaac and them settling down in a cottage away from human society, just surviving on their on in complete freedom. That would be the perfect ending for them. But it wasn't meant to be :)

• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?

Sparring and racing on top of their Innocent Devils! I like thinking of all the ways they'd goof off lmao

Mactor:

• when or if I started shipping it.

I... honestly don't remember. Very recently. A month ago?

• my thoughts:

My thought process could be summed up as "what if Hecula but without the horrific abuse?"

Yeah, literally impossible with the main guy. So I had to resort to "Dracula but when he was more or less a decent human being" :'D

I just like the Lord/knight aesthetic they have. I like the idea of Hector willingly swearing loyalty to Mathias, Dracula's humanity, the part of him that Hector always appreciated; and I like the idea of Mathias being so taken away by Hector's mental strength (which he sorely lacks) and swearing to be a better Lord for him than Dracula.

• What makes me happy about them:

The Parallels™ and the small height difference

Hector is already sweet to his beloveds, Mathias also comes off as someone who is so so tender with the few people he cares about, and that's how you get a recipe for tooth-rotting fluff and devotion <3

• What makes me sad about them:

Their relationship is doomed to be fleeting because they'd have to return to their respective time period, and Mathias will eventually become Dracula and hurt Hector and love him in a twisted way.

The whole idea, in general, is that they have a short story, but it matters to both of them. It definitely matters to Hector, who will carry the memories for the rest of his life. With Mathias... he'll forget, in part. But for that short time, it was a comfort.

• things done in art/fic that annoys me:

Nothing. It doesn't exist.

• things I look for in art/fic:

Nothing. While Hecula could theoretically exist if people stopped being cowards, I am well aware that Mactor is extremely niche 😂

Well, except when @the-crow-binary writes short excepts, and they always write them to be either adorable and with terrible flirting game, or so supportive of each other no matter what they just went through <3

• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

Guess who for Hector, lmao.

Mathias... well, I would say Elisabetha or Leon, but we know how that ends :^)

• My happily ever after for them:

*cries in Mathias is doomed to become Dracula*

The best ending would be for Hector to go to Mathias' time period, befriend Elisabetha and Leon so that mathias can endulge in the threesomes he always wanted, and maybe stop the Draculification process lol. <- even better if this is post-CoD Hector who already went through the whole revenge process

• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?

Discussing about alchemy :) their brands of alchemy is very different lol, but they could learn from each other.

Sonamy:

• when or if I started shipping it.

At the ripe old age of 8 years old, because with me, it's either rarepairs or the most basic ships possible :'D

• my thoughts:

They cute lol. Honestly, it's just that. They cute. They're good friends, Amy has mellowed out a little from her "SONIC MARRY ME" days (I don't like when her crush is completely erased, but the 2000s were hard times), and Sonic appreciates her a lot and trusts her even when he doesn't understand her reasons. They're both very friendly and optimistic, but they express it in different ways, with Amy being far more extroverted and emotional than Sonic: sometimes they clash, other times they complement each other.

• What makes me happy about them:

The closeness :) Again, in recent portrayals they have chiller vibes, what I would expect from old friends.

• What makes me sad about them:

The 2000s. And that one scene of Sonic pushing Amy's face away in Generations. And the ship wars.

• things done in art/fic that annoys me:

Depicting Sonic as overly schmaltzy and romantic, all kissy kissy and huggy huggy lol. Sonic isn't like that. He's very introverted and more subtle in his affection.

I'm happy that I never encountered a Sonamy fic where Shadow is bashed in the same way Amy is bashed in Sonadow fics or Sonic is bashed in Shadamy fics, but I'm sure they exist and I hate it on principle.

• things I look for in art/fic:

I don't really look for fanfics anymore, sadly. Very few people see their dynamic like I do lol.

My favorite type of fanart is of the "sharing an umbrella" vibe, just the two enjoying each other's company :>

what about a Genyame AU? I adore Tanyame, but just what if…

👀 a genyame au...... teeheeheehee......... i mean, i feel u. i adore tanyame too, but genyame is just so...... i mean they are literally Like That. i never expected genya to be such a romantic!!!!!!

- okay so genyame would probably work best if they knew each other in their trainee days

- like kyoujurou and gyoumei both decide that actually, it might be better if their apprentices have someone their age to train with! after all, that someone would also likely be their skill level

- yeah so genya isn't quite at ayame's skill level, on account of not being able to use total concentration breathing. but this is also genya pre-puberty (or pre-noticing how cute girls can be) and so he finds himself more jealous of ayame than anything

- you'd think they wouldn't get along, seeing how terribly their first meeting went in fits canon, but actually, despite genya's jealousy, ayame and genya get along really well. it helps that they are both self-aware enough to realise how weak they are, and they're both trying to figure out - in their own ways - how to get stronger

- well, not entirely in their own way. ayame and genya both help each other a lot, offering tips and encouragement. they're both just so off-handed and aloof about it that their shishous don't realise they're friends until they both set off for their final selections

- and u know, speaking of genya's jealousy of ayame, i bet it all gets turned around the day ayame comes back from okutama an orphan. by then, the rumours have spread throughout the ranks of the hashiras, although only a handful of people will realise what that means to anyone - and to ayame in particular

- in this au, i still think that ayame and tanjirou would be close. maybe not quite as close as they are in fits canon, but they can always count on each other as family

- the only major change, i guess, would be that genyame go on their first mission tgt, and ayame is a lil more absent from tanjirou's side during rehabilitation arc; she would be splitting her time between training her friends and hounding genya about his meetings/appointments/sessions with shinobu

- i can see ayame and sanemi's r/ship taking a turn for the worse though. ayame gets a chance to be close to genya, which is all sanemi wants and could have if he wasn't such an idiot about it. ayame also can't stand the fact that sanemi would push away his only living sibling, when she would do anything she could to hold on as tight as she can. i bet things between sanemi and genya can't really escalate bc genya is too busy mediating between his older brother and his, uh, best friend/crush/potential love of his life (?)

- is sanemi's and genya's r/ship better in this au? maaayyybeeeee but only bc ayame and sanemi are actively pissing each other off ig????? sanemi's too busy getting pissed off at ayame to even think of maiming genya so????? it's a win (????)

- would they get together? i'd like to think so. maybe they're both kinda hinting at their feelings in swordsmith village, although they never say it outright, bc genya is a romantic but ayame is an idiot. she is an idiots squad member after all

- i am so sorry for her idiocy

- but i guess they might end up confessing to each other in annoyance at sanemi's station. because genya got hurt and ayame takes her friends getting hurt very seriously

- but seriously, who told him to get involved in tanjirou's and sanemi's spat? he nearly got his eyes gouged out as collateral damage! if ayame hadn't been there, he might have actually lost his eyes! and we all know how important eyes are to ayame

- i think this makes zenitsu and tanjirou the giyuu of this au. seeing as they're stuck in the room while genyame angrily confess their feelings to each other and they can't exactly leave

- don't ask me how the final battle arc goes. i don't want to think about it. just - happy ending for them idc my heart is already breaking

- altho they probably kiss on their lil date for the lunar new year festival - and bonus!!! ayame didn't forget about it!!! she was just too busy convincing herself (and zenitsu and tanjirou) that genya probably didn't mean to ask her out on a date (even though everyone and their crow knows he meant to ask her out on a date gods ayame you're so blind)

@wellfell sent in: there's a notebook wrapped in colorful paper , a book of flowers it was called and it reminded her of him almost as soon as she saw it . it has dried flowers on each page , their names written under them along with a small poem . it's not too big but it's not small either , she hands it to him with a small smile . the she's caught him before he could get inside the apartment , was planning on leaving it on his doorstep even if she didn't trust his roommate to give it to him . ❛ you're one year older . one year closer to death . ❜ her smile grows , mischief letting her pretty eyes come to life . ❛ i can see your wrinkles . . . they're cute . ❜ / why didn't you tell me today is my baby's birthday gdi i would die for him . 😔🌸❤️‍🔥 || happy birthday lemon ( lam's b-day! )

As a rule of thumb, he doesn’t expect presents from his friends. For one thing, it’s only a few days following Christmas, which really, should be the bigger occasion to give presents. For another thing, he doesn’t need a lot, most days. If he really wanted something, he’d pay for it with his own meager salary.

( Plants are always welcomed, how ever damaged they may be coming in. )

That and well, he doesn’t have a lot of friends to celebrate with. Which is really his fault anyways- pulling away and going into self-imposed isolation for the year following the accident. It turns out that reconnecting with old friends is harder than the shows make it out to be…although making new friends is also up there too ( how he managed to become friends with Ray is beyond him ).

But for once he feels…okay. Better than he has in a very long time, even if it means he doesn’t have anyone to celebrate his birthday with, not really. It’s not like he expects anyone to remember.

Which is why, for once he’s caught off guard when she gives him a colorfully wrapped package- he thought she resented him. Well, that’s an overstatement- you don’t willingly spend time with people you resent…unless you’re a masochist and as far as he knows, for all the gloom and recklessness Akina might display, she is not one of kinds of people. He hopes thinks.

“Are you going to be preordering that JOINT COFFIN then? Better get with expedited shipping too- wouldn’t want it to be late.” A sardonic smile before it softens. He’s joking, of course- aren’t they always? He takes her gift gingerly, pressing it against his side before rolling his eyes, good-naturedly. With his bad arm, he takes her hand and squeezes gently. “…Yeah? Guess you’ll be seeing a few more next year too…stick around to find them.”

Hi...I just keep thinking of duos, so answer as many or as few of these as you like: Fernsong and Ivypool, Dovewing and Tigerstar II, Ivypool and Dovewing (although I know you've already talked about them), Firestar and Sandstorm, and because my sense of gay self-worth will not let me submit only straight couples, Tallstar and Jake, and Barley and Ravenpaw.

Ooooh! All these are good. I've been saving them for today because I've got enough time to do them all.

Y'all out there write some really, really cute Fernivy, but tbh? I'm not as passionate about it as it may seem. Fernsong certainly tickles my brain in the right spots with his deal as the first ever stay at home dad, I'm glad Ivypool could find love and happiness in someone else even if it was... questionable to say the least of a story decision to slap her with a mate and kits and call it a day, and I'm a sucker for younger men falling for older, more badass women. But in canon those ideas are all they really have going for them.

(I don't wanna hear anything about their age difference or degree of relatedness. Second cousins once removed is plenty far apart and when accounting for how weirdly cats age it's not at all a creepy or inappropriate age gap. There isn't even any canonical evidence they interacted at all, let alone inappropriately, before he was an adult.)

I'm reminded I still haven't finished Tigerheart's shadow. cjskjfldknfkd But ANYWAY yeah. They're a good ship, I love them. They are good for each other. My favorite part about it is that Dovewing got to choose her happiness and wrap up her character arc. Tigerdove my beloved. <3

And here we go for the girlies! They're a tie as second fav precisely because of the conflict in their dynamic and how they perceive the other to have everything they ever wanted. I adore their different reaction to those feelings and their interplay with one another and their everything. I swear one day I'll write more about them, I'm just not the best at angst compared to family fluff. And I find it easier to write 3-way dynamics than just duo dynamics so yeah. There's a reason Holly-Jay-Lion are my go-to.

Firesand good. Surprisingly well developed relationship for the series tbh. I specially adore them in the Gray/Fire/Sand configuration but as a standalone couple they're good. Sandstorm is the one with the braincells in the relationship and I think that's my favorite part of it.

OOOOOH! Talljake my adored. Top tier gay ship. Love my angry tall man on a revenge quest and his oblivious short orange companion. If y'all haven't read it, check out @tallstars-rewrite. Excellent take on Tallstar's Revenge. Personally my favorite part is not the Talljake but it's executed very well. That also reminds me I have to read the Solacefruit rewrite hmmmmm.

I think the same card goes for Ravenbarley. In that case no big thoughts (also I've been at this for quite a while already, hahahah). But yeah. Good stuff. Good stuff.
