If I were Buck right now I'd put a bi and a rainbow flag with "ally" on my Instagram profile, then post a picture of me kissing Tommy on the cheek, then turn off my phone.

The very concept that Eddie Diaz got outed by Family Feud is hilarious actually. What gave it away is that they picked Josh as the 5th member instead of anyone else

the way frank and karen have an entire conversation and formulate an entire plan to get her away from lewis without even speaking to each other makes me so insane. like those two are SO in sync that frank can simultaneously talk lewis down while giving karen all the tools and info she needs to get herself away from him without lewis even realizing because it is that subtle. and then the little nods and head shakes when karen is feeling around trying to find the white wire. like they are on the same exact fucking wavelength, and they trust the other person so completely that in frank's mind there is no doubt that karen is going to understand what he's trying to tell her and will be capable of doing it. and in karen's mind there is no doubt that frank will save her.

I've had this idea in my head of what would be a great scene for Daredevil Born Again
I doubt we'll get anything even remotely similar, but I still can't get over the idea:
So something crazy happens as usual and Karen ends up in danger (again, as usual) and Matt saves her but then afterwords we get a conversation along these lines:
Foggy: Karen, can you at least TRY to stop getting in life threatening situations? I have enough to worry about with Matt's... nightly activities
Matt: Yeah this is worse than the time you almost got killed by fake me
Frank Castle, walking up behind them with a coffee: the time you alMoST WHAT
Foggy: Yeah but not worse than the time she tried to goad Fisk into killing her
Frank: *doing that sad but adorable thing where he has trouble speaking when thinking about Karen in danger*
Matt: I mean technically he only went after her as a result of her trying to goad Fisk into killing her. And Dex got a lot closer to killing her than Fisk did
Frank: *literally hyperventilating*

it's been pointed out on here before that a lot of terf arguments are actually rooted in sexist idealology that feminists fought and died to unnormalise decades ago and that's its own kettle of fish but one thing i also find very frustrating about this so called 'radical' feminism is that it's so... defeatist? like the moment you categorically label an entire section of society as Bad and Inherently Evil then there's also the implication that nothing can be done about it, and it completely takes all accountability away. saying all men are evil is just another way of saying boys will be boys. he raped her because he's a man. he hit her because he's a man. he didn't listen because he's a man - it's almost offensively oversimplified. there's no point trying to fix this issue in society because men are just Like That, okay! so now what? it's not like they're going anywhere, so you just accept that 50% of the population are evil and will forever treat you terribly and there's nothing to be done about it bc they're biologically predisposed to it? like is that fr the argument here? you're soooo radical for that
#this is coming from someone who used to very genuinely be a misandrist#ironically it was only when i started actually analysing my own feminism that i got MORE confrontational with men#and started respecting my boundaries a lot better BECAUSE i started holding them accountable again#like when men treat me like shit nowadays i dont just write it off as 'what did you expect? he's a man' i get MAD about it#because i EXPECT BETTER FROM THEM even if it's just tiny shit women have to deal with daily#i hold them to just as high a standard as im held to and i make them take accountability when they dont meet that#and whether you realise it or not even on a subconscious level the MOMENT you black-and-white blanket statement all men as bad#you stop holding them accountable.#like it is literally just boys will be boys. do terfs seriously not realise they're sending feminism BACKWARDS#like if a girl came to me with her trauma and people - other girls no less - tried to comfort her with 'yeah all men are evil'#id be fucking furious. like no he did that because he was a piece of shit that had it normalised to him that women arent to be respected#dont you dare let him off the hook with something as simple and uncritical as 'he's a man'#i promise you men like that will MUCH prefer a blanket statement such as 'all men are as bad as each other'#than actually being point blank told they're an abuser or a rapist. because being lumped together is comfortable and even empowering#wheras isolating their behaviour with words that are Bad and Ugly (LIKE 'rapist') is not comfortable at all and has heavy connotations#idk i dont think radical feminism is always bad on its own it can be v liberating. just terfs and misandrists that i have a problem with#dropping this post in a piranha tank and closing tumblr knowing im gonna have some thirty year old karen yelling at me within 5 mins#i probably wont respond to any terf comments bc they literally mentally exhaust me with their stupidity#but that also depends on my mood and ability to keep my mouth shut LMFAO we shall see

the daisy jones and the six series changing the interviews to be 20 years later instead of closer to 40 years feels like such a weird, superficially aesthetic choice, where they get to keep the young, attractive actors (how did none of them age a day except graham??) instead of committing to the fact that these people are only able to reflect on these events because there's so much distance from them and they have perspective now (though it also means that memories are contradictory, contributing to the lack of reliability). it also does a massive disservice to camila, who instead of getting to live a long, happy life with her husband who stated that he always loved her and would always choose her, is basically turned into the second coming of the mother from how i met your mother – a pit stop to give the main, important man some kids to tell a story to before dying so he can be with his real soulmate before they're too old for it to be sexy
i feel like too many people (mainly daisybilly shippers) are conflating the "unreliable narrator" aspect of the book with "oh, no one told the truth about anything so we can make up our own completely different story and have it be canon!" instead of understanding that while there were probably times that the interviewees lied, a lot of what jumbles up their memories is the time that has passed, the weed that was smoked, and their personal feelings toward certain events (why you get daisy and billy gushing over the aurora cover that highlights only them while everyone else talks about how much the shoot sucked) (oh and the fact that reviews are mentioning that the rest of the band rarely appears in scenes w/o daisy or billy?? meaning that the series did what the characters in the book were constantly complaining about and relegated them to backup?? i must laugh to keep from crying) (also if they weren't even going to focus on everyone, why the fuck didn't they keep pete?)

a tragic character in rdr2 that i feel is not talked about enough is Miss Grimshaw (spoilers ahead, obviously)
she was like the mother figure to several of the gang members (notably arthur and the girls)—she was strict and callous, but she cared about them so goddamn much. i love the mission where her and arthur go to rescue tilly because she just goes full mama bear mode, ready to go on a murdering spree to get her girl back. she's dangerously protective of the people she cares about.
the progressive downfall of the gang takes a toll on her. 'Prisoner for Life' makes me cry every time i hear it (for anyone who doesn't know, that's the song Grimshaw and Karen sing after Sean's death), because you can hear her voice cracking. you can hear the pain in her voice.
she loved that gang so fucking much. dutch did not deserve her. she held them together and he barely even bat an eye when she got shot. she trusted arthur, because she knew him and loved him and would protect him with her life. which is exactly what she did.
she deserved better. she deserved so much better.
