I find it interesting that, in Ga'Hoole, that the Owls saw Ravens as benevolent and wise, while Crows were assholes. And in the last book, the crows that fought with the Owls against the Pure Ones were seen to be just as noble and pure-hearted as the owls they fought alongside. (In the end, their differences don't matter: they're all birds, standing up to an evil they could never hope to fight alone.)

i got charlie a sticker activity book and it occurred to me i have to TEACH someone how to unpeel stickers. it's SKILL that requires DEXTERITY and FINE MOTOR ABILITY. i thought it was obvious that you have to curl the page a little bit to create a break in the cut so the sticker comes up.
