So I listened to the phantom of the opera soundtrack. Fucking hell "All I ask of you" would probably make a great Rumpelstiltskin imagine. Like if Y/N remembered life before the curse with him.😍😍😍
So this went in a bit of an odd direction, but I hope you still enjoy it. If you ever have any other requests or Rumple suggestions please let me know. I'm loving writing for him.
Walking down the street, the sun was shining down on you. It was a good day to live in Storybrooke. The air tasted sweet when you stopped on the corner, closing your eyes to breathe it in. You smiled to yourself, basking in the warmth.
You jerked back when you opened your eyes. Mr Gold, staring at you, was standing almost toe to toe with you. You took a step back, your heart thudding loud in your ears. You couldn’t understand how you’d missed his approach. He was hardly silent.
“Mr Gold, I’m so sorry,” you said, tripping over your words.
“No, no, it’s quite alright,” he said, “my fault.”
“Well.” You gestured to allow him to pass by.
He took one step past you then turned.
“Actually, Miss (Y/L/N),” he said, “would you mind helping me out with something in my shop?”
“Oh, uh” Your eyes darted away. Something about this man unsettled you, “if you need help moving something I’m not exactly strong.”
“No, no, I need help with something more detail oriented,” he said.
“Oh.” You couldn't think of a plausible excuse in time, “I guess I could lend a hand.”
You turned around, following him back the way you’d come, your fingers fidgeting together. You let your eyes rove over the back of him, from the brunette hair turning a distinguished grey, to the well fitting suit, down to his shiny shoes. That familiar flutter in your heart you’d always attributed to fear happened again, watching him walk.
The bell above his door jingled. He held it open for you, letting you enter the shop, your footsteps thumping on the wooden floor. He shut the door with a quiet snick, his footsteps following you across the floor. You turned, watching him approach.
“So what did you need help with?” you asked, hoping this would be quick.
“It’s just through here.”
He led you into the back. He bent over the bench, keeping his back to you. You took a step towards him, hesitant, beginning to feel this was the kind of situation you’d been warned about by your mother.
He turned, clutching something in his closed fist. Your eyebrows drew together. He lifted his hand, blowing some kind of dust into your face. You spluttered, coughing as whatever it was sunk into your lungs. You closed your eyes, stumbling back from him, your back hitting a cabinet behind you.
A sharp pain started up in your head before it cleared. You blinked your eyes open, shaking your head. Two lives lived simultaneously, two people inside your head, two histories, together but separate.
“(Y/N)?”
Your eyes came back into focus. Rumplestiltskin, the same but different, stood before you, hope blooming on his face. Choking back a sob you flung yourself at him. His arms wrapped around you, holding you close as he sighed. You pressed your face to his shoulder, holding back your tears as you breathed him in. The same old Rumple was there, ready to catch you the moment you needed him.
“The curse,” you whispered, “it worked.”
“Just as we knew it would,” he replied.
You drew back, your eyes darting over his face. He was smiling, relief in every crease. You cupped his face, unable to stop staring at him. 28 years was a long time to be without him, like this, together.
“Does this mean the saviour is here?” you asked.
“She is, although she doesn’t know it yet,” he said.
You lent forward, capturing his lips in a soft kiss. He was there, he was real, and you remembered. All those years in the enchanted forest together exactly like this. The way you fell for the dark imp, dragging him along with you. He sighed into the kiss as you melted against him.
“You woke me up,” you murmured when you drew back.
He chuckled, pressing a kiss to your forehead, “I couldn’t leave you under the curse.”
“My hero,” you whispered.
“I’m no hero, love,” he said, drawing away from you.
“You are,” you insisted, holding onto his hand tight enough that he couldn’t leave, “you’ve always given me my freedom. No matter the cost.”
“Something so lovely should not be caged for other people’s pleasure,” he said.
“I feel free with you,” you admitted.
“Oh, my love.’
He bundled you up in his arms again, kissing you with a sweetness unmatched in your existence. To think there were people who thought this man was incapable of love or kindness.
“But what about Regina?” you asked him.
“What about her?” he growled.
“What’s she going to do when she finds out we’re awake? That we remember?”
“She’s never going to find out.”
“But-”
“I’m not going to let anything happen to you again.”
You searched his eyes, looking for the truth. It’s not that you didn’t trust him to protect you, you did, and always had, but you didn’t trust what Regina might have in store. She’d never made it a secret that she hated you. You’d always assumed it was because of Rumple, his love for you, but still, it scared you. Especially knowing she’d cast the curse leaving you afraid of the one man who had only ever made you feel safe.
“How can I make this better?” he asked.
“Just… just love me,” you asked, “that’s all I ask of you.”
“I do,” he replied, “I do love you.”
“And you’re not going to leave me?” you asked, needing the reassurance.
“Never,” he said, “I will never leave you.”
“And you’re always going to love me?”
“Always.”

---
Belle supposed that she should be afraid. Anyone in their right mind would be, deep in the lair of the Dark One. Rumpelstiltskin's face had been a mask of horror, the moment he saw the magic cloud envelop her.
She hoped he called for help before coming for her.
She also hoped it took the rescue party another hour before they arrived.
Unlike the rest of the world, she had lived with the Dark One for years. She could read the moods behind those yellow eyes with even more accuracy than she could the man she had married in Storybrooke.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
He sneered.
Belle let out a frustrated sigh. This was a familiar battle, yet ever so tiring to climb up the same hill over and over again - and this time with two different versions of the same man! "You are cranky," she told him, crossing her arms over her chest. "Go on, Rumple. You know how this goes. You can keep your problems to yourself, or you can share them with me and we can---"
"We can?" He snickered. "Don't try to deceive me, dearie. You want no part of this," he declared with a hiss, essaying a grand wave at himself.
Belle felt like kicking something. Preferably that thrice-damned spell which had divided Rumpelstiltskin in these two stubborn personalities. She already has this discussion with the human version!
"As I already told you," she didn't bother to explain she meant the Rumpelstiltskin who had stayed in their home. He was smart. He could figure it out. "It could hardly be True Love if I only wanted parts of you."
He gave her a condescending look, but she noticed his claws curl nervously at his sides.
He was so tempted by the idea of a true love. He wanted to believe her. Rumpelstiltskin always wanted to believe he could be loved.
The fool still gave her a nasty smirk. "Oh, but I'm the evil parts, don't you know?" He leaned into her personal space with a leer. "Still eager to claim me?"
Belle leaned forward, maintaining eye contact until he blinked first. "Your counterpart just chased off two families from their apartments," she informed him "They refused to pay rent now that he doesn't have magic."
He snorted. "What does magic have to do with a contract?"
They were echoes of each other, down to the incredulous intonation.
"Exactly."
Taking advantage of his good humor, Belle shot out her hand to grasp his. He expectedly opened his mouth with surprise, but said nothing once he looked at her determined expression.
"Oh no," he said warily. Indulgently. Lovingly. Of course he knew her moods as well. "You have an idea."
"I do." She smiled. For all the chaos of the last three days, unlike every other idiot affected by the spell, Rumpelstiltskin had enough of an innate survival instinct that they hadn't gone at each other's throats. A truly soulless Dark One would have already razed the land, so the reprieve had been the springboard to Belle's theory. "I believe you've been happy to build yourself this castle and terrorize everyone with dire threats. I also believe your other half has been making everyone in Storybrooke fear the power of a signature with only Dove and his friends as back up." She shrugged. "You're no more evil than he is, and he is no more patient than you are. If anything, you're raw magic and he is all stubbornness. Power and Will, maybe."
"That sounds like too good a wish, sweetheart."
"I haven't worked out the details," she admitted. "But all the same-" she tugged on his coat "-you are all mine."

Do you think the whole fam would go on vacation together? Or a road trip? If so, what role would everybody play on the journey?
I have a few thoughts: Zelena would be the one stir up drama and start arguments during the flight/drive, just for the hell of it.
Regina and Snow are the ones spending loads of time together making dinner for the family every evening whilst on the vacation (it also gives them that extra bonding alone time). That's all I've got right now. How would you categorise the rest of them?
i like to think that, after emma and regina get together and the family starts becoming closer, they spend summers away from storybrooke. they just deserve a break, you know? whether that's going to new york and living there for a couple of months, or traveling around the world, experiencing parts of this realm they've never seen before. storybrooke is home, but it's also stressful as fuck being the people in charge of saving everyone every other day, and regina and rumple have enough money to make any travel plans possible
when they go anywhere in the u.s., they drive. a lifetime of riding horses to get everywhere will make plane rides seem not so fun, so they'll take everyone in a couple of cars and make whatever trek they've decided to venture out on. there are 11 members of this family, so usually, emma, regina, henry, the charming's and baby neal ride on one car. and belle, rumple, gideon, zelena, and robyn ride in another one. (although, when they live in new york for the summer, they take more than two cars just so they don't have to drive each other every where or use taxis--another thing none of them, besides emma) have really gotten around to
but when they go to places overseas, obviously, they have to ride on a plane. and you're absolutely right, no matter how they travel, zelena is always the one causing trouble. it's why regina forces her to ride with belle and rumple because she drove regina crazy the one time she was allowed to be in the same vehicle as her for a more than five hour long drive (belle says having zelena ride with them is like having a third child in the backseat)
and yeah, regina and snow are usually in charge of dinner. emma and david are usually on breakfast duty. belle and rumple figure out lunch, and regina and snow do dinner (zelena's useless--love her sm but this woman is more focused on causing chaos than figuring out this family's meal plan)
traveling with the rest of the family is super important to belle, because she's always wanted to see the world, you know? and now she gets to see it with the people she loves most. regina and her are usually the ones who plan out the day, like which museums they go to, what sights to see, and the two of them definitely geek out the most when going to art exhibits
rumple isn't the biggest fan of traveling, but he finds he actually does enjoy it when it's with the whole family. belle reminds him too that he spent so long trying to come to this world, he might as well explore it a bit. he also loves the museums, he's just quieter about it. david, zelena, and him end up playing card games to pass the time when they're not doing anything
henry finds movies at nearby theaters that they can all go see and emma and regina make sure to take him to video game museums and arcades so he gets to have some fun doing things he loves as well (they also love video games. this whole family is actually so nerdy but--)
they collect magnets from every city they go to, and they put them on the fridge at mifflin. regina's never been one to allow anything to hang up on her fridge, but when emma gets all excited about the idea of having a little piece from every place they've visited together, regina can't help but allow them to decorate her fridge with magnets
also, regina is still mayor, and she still takes care of business in storybrooke. they all do. they communicate with everyone back in storybrooke regularly because even if the job gets tiring, they still want to ensure their town and the people in it stay safe, but it's really fucking nice to leave their everyday live's behind for a little bit and just breathe, get a break, and spend some time together that's away from the weight of being storybrooke's personal heroes

Spoiler Alert 🚨
If you’re on OUAT season 5 you’re safe. If not, I mean I’d still read it but you’re gonna get spoilers🤣 (it’s worth it though 🤫) Also please forgive me if the storyline isn’t exactly how it was in the show… this is sorta just off the top of my head so there could be some things I’ve forgotten🤣
Okay so I just have this thing- you know that scene in OUAT where Gold has a heart attack and then ends up in the hospital with (spoiler alert ‼️) Zelena? And you know how she sent him into a second heart attack and he ended up intubated?
Alright well here’s my thing.
The series went through that WAYYYYY too fast for my taste so let’s engage in a little “Rumple-Whumple” shall we?
Tumblr media
First let’s think about the parts we *didn’t* see during that episode (Heart of Gold 4/17).
Rumple is in New York after being forced out of Storybrooke by Belle. When we catch up with him, he’s opening the door to his son’s old apartment and he happens to find Robin and his “family” there. With how quickly he has the heart attack and how little it takes to push him to it, we can only assume that he’s been having “build up” symptoms all day.
So what would that look like?
My idea is that he might’ve been up at 3 a.m. the night before with what he deemed “heartburn,” not recognizing the whole bit about his dark deeds poisoning his heart (or in this world, heart attack symptoms.)
Maybe because of that chest tightness and pressure, he didn’t get much sleep and that took away the time he desperately needed to rest.
So by the time the morning comes, he’s still having pains on and off and he feels exhausted. Perhaps he skips out on breakfast because he just doesn’t feel up to even making something simple.
He goes on about his day, walking the streets of New York… loud traffic, too many people, and of course his leg hurting from being without magic to stop it.
Of course he’s got Belle’s voice in his mind- he replays the moment she sent him away over and over and over until he realizes his chest is really starting to hurt.
He makes his way to Bae’s apartment, hoping he can just rest there for a bit before getting back to finding his way back to Storybrooke.
That’s when he finds Robin and the others.
The longer he stands there arguing with Robin, the more he feels lightheaded, the more the room spins, the more his anxiety spikes and the pain in his chest runs rampant…
Then, he blacks out.
Tumblr media
Moving on to the hospital…
When Rumple wakes up, his head hurts from the fall, and his body is sore all over from the heart attack.
Now, he feels even more exhausted and pained, but *vulnerable.*
No one who he can trust is here. He’s lying in a cold hospital room in an uncomfortable bed with stiff blankets and an IV in his arm. He misses Belle now more than ever because he knows if she were there, she’d be by his side, tending to him and making sure he felt cared for and loved.
Alas, he’s here with the Honorable Thief himself, and so he acts big and bad when asking for the magic he needs to get back home.
Tumblr media
While he waits for Robin to get back, he’s alone with his thoughts. He imagines being back home with Belle. He can practically smell her homemade bread he loves so much. He can feel the soft, slightly worn blankets around him. He hears her sweet voice saying she’ll be there in just a minute.
When Robin finally returns, he drinks the potion, thinking he’ll be healed immediately. This is where it gets interesting….
Tumblr media
He realizes nothings changed. He’s still in pain, he’s still tired, he still feels like he’s made of lead and moving is impossible.
Soon enough he’s discovered that Zelena is right in front of him.
He knows she wants to kill him, or worse, use him for something. The more she talks, the more pressure he feels settling in his chest. His heart rate skyrockets and he feels like he can’t breathe… then, those words…
“You failed…oops.”
He can’t take it. The pain, the anxiety, the everything… his heart gives in a second time, leaving the monitor going wild as his vision fades.
Tumblr media
He wakes up stiff, cold and pained once again. He feels the softness of a cool towel on his head and leans into it slightly before realizing it’s not Belle who is tending to him.
Despite how sore he is, he does everything in his power to scoot away from Zelena, but being intubated and weak makes it much harder.
He doesn’t like the feeling of being intubated at all, but there’s nothing he can do. He’s at the mercy of the medical staff and Zelena.
His throat feels sore and scratchy, and he wants nothing more than to be curled up in Belle’s arms, drinking a warm cup of tea.
Sadly, that doesn’t happen. He gets another threat from Zelena- putting him in the position of choosing good or choosing to live without constant pain…
He couldn’t help it. He blinked.

Finding the Fun - RSS 2023 Fic
Hello @of-princes-and-savages I am your Secret Santa and damn was this a labor of love! The flu almost stopped me, but I said "not today infectious demon, I have a gift to complete." So without further ado, I hope you enjoy this kinda angsty, mostly fluffy, with just a hint of smut Rumbelle fic.
I will also post it to Ao3, but probably not until tomorrow and I wanted to make sure I got this to you today. So, feel free to read it below....
Summary: Belle and Rumple are settled in Storybrooke with two year-old Gideon. One night, Belle has a mishap and it inspires the couple to try and bring back the fun into their relationship.
Notes: This is a little bit AU, because after Gideon is turned back into a baby, the family stays in Storybrooke instead of traveling realms. So magic exists and all of the characters' history is the same but I’m glossing over the whole “Rumple needs to break his Dark One curse” thing. Also, I researched it and baby deer walk 7 hours after being born. - That’ll make sense when you read it.
Finding the Fun
Well, this wasn’t the oddest position Rumple had ever found Belle in.
There was the time in the Dark Castle when he’d found her perched high up on a ladder tugging on the window curtains trying to let light into the room. He’d been about to chide her, because it was called the dark castle for a reason, but she’d lost her balance and fell right into his arms. There were many other “Belle mishaps” (as he liked to call them) to choose from, but the ladder was his favorite. He’d ended up with his arms full of a beautiful woman, the sun shining down on him like a spotlight and she hadn’t looked at him with repulsion. Instead he saw curiosity and kindness in her bright blue eyes. He didn’t know it then, but that was the beginning of his love for her.
Currently, he was leaning against the doorframe of their son Gideon’s room. The hallway light behind him cast a luminous glow over the scene inside. Belle was fast asleep propped up by the headboard of their two year-old son’s bed. Gideon was cradled in her lap, equally fast asleep, his head resting against her bosom. He could tell even from across the room that Gideon’s breathing was a bit labored, and he could hear the occasional sniffle from what was undoubtedly a stuffy nose.
Ah, Gideon finally caught a cold from one of the other children at daycare. Well it was bound to happen at some point. An autumn chill had recently swept through Storybrooke and with it inevitably came runny noses and germ-laden hands.
But his beautiful wife comforting their son wasn’t the ‘odd’ part of this tableau. It was what she was wearing. Rumple’s eyes trailed up her legs. They were covered in sheer black stockings and just a peek of a garter belt could be seen high up her thigh. He could just make out a pair of matching panties trimmed in scallop lace before Gideon’s little body hid the rest from view. His gaze continued to drift upward to her top. It was a thin and rather ragged sweatshirt with the words Storybrooke Library stamped upon it. It even looked like she’d done her makeup more than usual. Her eyes were darkly lined with a winged effect and her lips were a luscious merlot color.
He tried to bite back a chuckle. Belle had sent him out for a bottle of wine and there had been a wicked gleam in her eyes. It appears Belle’s plans for a seduction had been rudely and quite suddenly interrupted by Gideon’s head-cold.
Rumple gently closed the door and made his way to their bedroom where he was met with more evidence of Belle’s thwarted seduction. Hanging off the side of their bed was a black corset covered in a black scallop lace just matching her panties. The drawers of their dresser were all pulled out with clothing spilling out of them and several items strewn across the floor. The male part of him groaned at the missed opportunity. The rest of him had a good laugh while he cleaned up the room.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Belle stumbled down the hallway like a baby deer fresh from the womb. Her legs had fallen asleep while keeping Gideon propped up on her lap. Poor little Gid had woken up crying and panicked because he couldn’t breathe through his nose. He didn’t understand that it was just a cold, and he kept pointing to his nose crying “no no no.” Once she was able to calm him down they’d sat in the bathroom with the shower steaming to help loosen his stuffed sinuses followed by a small dose of cough medicine. He still hadn’t been able to sleep without Belle propping him up making it easier for him to breathe. Thank gods toddlers don’t care what their moms look like as long they’re there, because Belle looked very different than usual.
The house was already dark so it must be late. It was always disorienting leaving Gideon’s room after sleeping with him. It felt like his room existed outside of time and space; the white noise machine, the complete darkness he needed for sleep (he must get it from Rumple), the cozy warmth of his body when he insists on snuggling until he drifts off. It all effectively shuts out the world. So when Belle tiptoes out the door, it always takes her a long time to orient herself to the sounds, the light, and the cold of the real world. She has absolutely no idea what time it is. It could be tomorrow for all she knows.
She makes her way into the kitchen trying to quietly make some tea before she puts herself to bed. The feeling is back in her legs because she definitely felt the chair she just knocked into which, of course, clattered to the floor. The sound echoing throughout the first floor of the house. With a great huff she slouched against the kitchen counter. So much for quiet.
“Well well well. What do we have here?”
Belle jumped with a little shriek turning around to meet the very amused eyes of Rumple.
“Rumple!” She pressed her hand to her heart, “You scared me.”
He shrugged and swaggered towards her pulling her into his arms. He was dressed for bed in his deep blue silk pajama set with a matching robe. The contrast in their attire was very apparent. Most of Belle’s makeup was rubbed off  and her hair was a frizzy, tangled mess from the shower steam. She looked up to see Rumple biting back an amused smile. The glee on his face made him look like the imp she’d known during their time in the Dark Castle together. Despite her embarrassment, she found her heart chuckling inside of her along with him. It had been a long time since she’d seen him find something funny other than from sinister irony.
His voice was quiet and laughing when he asked, “Would you like to tell me about your evening?”
“Only if you make me some tea.”
“Deal,” he said, and with a peck on her forehead, left her arms to tend to the kettle.
Belle picked up the chair from the floor and settled herself into it. She pulled a leg up under herself, and the silky slipperiness of her stockings made her grimace. The stockings weren’t made to withstand a steam bath and restless toddler feet snagging on them. They were designed to carefully encase each leg and then dramatically shown off in a big reveal that raises blood pressure (in addition to other things), maybe a short session of eye-fucking, and then finally are peeled off in favor of more naked activities.
“I should get changed,” she muttered to herself.
“And deprive me of the sexy sight before me?”
She snorted and rolled her eyes. “Obviously this was not what I was going for. Gideon woke up with a cold and it all went downhill from there.”
Rumple set the tea tray on the table, and reached for her clasped hands. “I’m sorry sweetheart. Is Gid ok?”
“Yeah he’ll be fine. I think it scared him more than anything.”
Rumple sat across from her still holding her hand. “I suppose you can’t really explain to a two year-old what a head cold is.”
“Not really.”
“I wasn’t laughing at you. The situation is just….”
“Funny.” Belle supplied with a smirk. “I know. It is. It really is.” She fiddled with Rumple’s finger while trying to shake off the feelings of disappointment and frustration. With his free hand, Rumple began to fix their tea trying to pour hot water into the teapot without spilling. When Belle noticed his adorable attempt to make tea one-handed she released his fingers and clasped her own together in her lap.
For two years they’ve been trying to heal together. They are both in individual therapy and in couples therapy. Even little Gideon went to play therapy once per month. Now that he is starting to develop his own sense of self they wanted to make sure Gideon had extra support in case their were residual effects from his time in the Dark Realm and…well, from everything else that had happened to him. Because so much had happened. Sometimes it felt like too much. All of the curses, all of the betrayals, and secrets. There were times early on when Belle couldn’t imagine their little family ever being happy together.
Now, she sees glimmers of hope everywhere. In the way Rumple holds onto her hand even if he needs it back to make their tea; in the way he packs extra snacks in Gideon’s daycare bag “just in case he’s hungrier than usual;” in the way he tells her every single time he has a craving to misuse magic, and instead they talk together until a non-magical solution can be found.
So tonight she had wanted to create something special for him  — ok, for them. Not that they hadn’t had sex in the past two years, but this was intended to be different. She wanted to play and have fun. It had been such a long time since they’d just had fun. She thought bringing that playfulness into the bedroom would in turn bring it back into their relationship on a whole.
Rumple sat her teacup in front of her and she grabbed his hand before he could pull away. He looked up a bit surprised at her earnestness.
“I….” She started. “I….” She sighed. She didn’t know how to say it. How to explain what she had imagined for their night together. The simple explanation was not so simple anymore. She closed her eyes and tried to remember what Dr. Hopper had coached.
The emotions behind a simple situation make it feel complicated. Un-complicate it by first stating the facts out loud.
Belle’s blue eyes pierced into Rumple’s. He could see her internal fight, but was mystified as to what it was about. His first instinct was to jump into the conversation and try to fix it, but he knew that wasn’t what she needed. He has a penchant for trying to fix everything and anything for the ones he loves. After hundreds of years and lots of therapy he’s finally curbing that instinct.
You don’t have to fix everything. You just have to be present, listen, and then, if Belle asks for your help, you can work together towards a solution .
Finally Belle blew out a long breath and an even longer stream of words.
“After Gideon went to bed, I sent you out for a bottle of wine even though we have a full wine cellar. I went to our room, put on makeup like Lacey used to wear, and then started changing into some sexy lingerie that I bought specially for tonight. Then everything with Gideon happened — ” she pulled her hands apart and spread her fingers wide as if she could grab Gideon’s untimely cold from the past and show it to him like a picture book at a children’s story hour.
Once the facts are stated begin listing your feelings. Don’t go into the cause or the reasons for the feelings. State just the feelings.
“— and I am frustrated, disappointed, annoyed, embarrassed, and exhausted. Ok, I don’t know if ‘exhausted’ is technically a feeling but if it’s not it should be.”
Rumple brought his teacup to his mouth gently blowing over the hot liquid’s surface. A bubble of quiet contemplation settled around the table. He and Belle had been diligently working to keep their family together which meant they lived a sedate and routine-oriented lifestyle.
“Sweetheart, not that I’m complaining, but may I ask what brought this on?”
Belle groaned internally, because of course that was his response. Any sane person would ask that question. Except most people would say something like ‘why did you suddenly decide to act out a cheesy seduction on a Wednesday night?’
Belle fiddled with the tiny handle of her teacup while her mind swirled with words creating half-explanations none of which would make sense to anyone outside of herself. Several times her mouth opened to say something but all she could accomplish was looking pleadingly at Rumple with big pitiful eyes. He grasped her limp hands and held them tight.
“Belle…is there something -”
“-I’m bored!” She blurted out.
They blinked at each other both surprised for very different reasons.
“Oh”
“No, not in that way. Not bored of our relationship. I’m not unhappy. I cannot stress that enough.”
“…ok.” To his credit Rumple’s grip on Belle’s hands didn’t lessen. “But you’re bored.” He stated it like it was one of the many facts of their life together; Gideon doesn’t like peas, Rumple is the Dark One, and Belle is bored.
“I miss the fun part of our relationship,” and even as Belle said it she winced, because in truth there relationship history wasn’t riddled with lighthearted moments. “I want there to be a ‘fun’ aspect to our relationship.”
“Fun.” Rumple repeated it like it was the first time he’d ever said the word in his life. “Well, I’m not entirely certain what to do about that. Should I do something?”
Belle face glowed with warmth and happiness. The Rumple from only a few years ago would’ve never asked if he ‘should’ do something. He would’ve spent days and weeks plotting and planning without consulting her, and then revealed something ‘fun.’
“Let me try to come up with something and if it doesn’t work out then you can take a crack at it.”
“If its any consolation, what you came up with looked like it would’ve been spectacular.” Rumple placed a kiss on her hand and leaned in close, “Parental responsibilities simply got in the way.”
“So much for spontaneity.” Belle leaned in bringing her lips to his intending for a quick kiss, but the forward momentum of her body kept their lips locked together. She opened her mouth ever so slightly and Rumple’s fingers cupped her chin keeping her steady while the tip of his tongue gently caressed and coaxed hers. She exhaled and sank deeper into their kiss enjoying the comforting familiarity of it, and grateful that even after all these years her lips still tingled with excitement when he kissed her. When a natural break from the need to breathe inserted itself, Belle leaned back in her chair feeling cautiously excited about this new endeavor.
———————————————-
This. Is. So. Horrible.
Belle wished it was physically possible to impale herself on the tiny dessert fork before her. The shiny object was sitting next to a plate of pears gorgeously poached in a spiced red wine reduction, and yet the only thought running through her brain (aside from suicide by fork) was her gratitude that the dessert course had finally arrived.
Gusteau’s was one of the newer restaurants that popped up in Storybrooke after the Black Fairy had been defeated. A quiet curse-free existence seemed possible for the first time and many of the town’s citizens were investing in their hopes and dreams again. Resulting in many new businesses and restaurants opening their doors.
Gusteau’s was the prime example of a fine dining experience. Heavy beautifully carved furniture was spaced evenly throughout the restaurant and crisp white linens covered the tables. Each tabletop was adorned with a low vase of roses and a miniature lamp that cast just enough light that one could comfortably gaze upon their dining companion. The room on a whole was swathed in heavy, rich fabrics and carpeted to dampen the foot tread of the wait staff as they hurried from table to kitchen and back again.
Belle thought, at the time, it was the perfect idea for a fun night out. Gideon was enjoying a play date at the Nolan’s house. Their little boy Neal was a few years older, but he played well with Gideon always making sure to keep their games at a pace suited to a toddler. He had the sweet nature of his namesake and seemed to favor Gideon especially. More importantly, it meant their own house was unoccupied. While preparing for their evening out, Belle had visions of an elegant dinner enjoying sumptuous food and good conversation accompanied by just a tad too much wine. Maybe they would take a stroll in the crisp evening air by the water. She loved the mystery of the sea at night. It was a thrilling contrast, hearing the water churning against the docked boats, but the black night obscuring it from view. Once they were thoroughly chilled to their bones they would warm each other in front of their fireplace finding bliss in the comfort of their own home.
But now…..
She just wanted to go home, throw on some leggings, and crawl into bed until the morning when they would go retrieve Gid. Hopefully he was having a better night.
Rumple was twisting the stem of his glass of port between his fingers. They’d both given up trying to keep the conversation from stagnating. It hadn’t occurred to her that after hours of talk therapy they wouldn’t have anything to talk about. They started off the evening talking about Gideon - that was inevitable - and then Rumple’s shop and the library, but once those topics had been exhausted, neither of them knew where to direct the conversation next. They were in each other’s lives every day. There wasn’t much more to say that hadn’t already been said at the breakfast table that morning. And Rumple tried, he really did, but gods help them at one point he even commented on the weather. It’s colder than usual for this time of year…. That was it. It hadn’t even been something substantial about the weather that Belle could verbally latch onto and run with.
So now she was left staring at her dessert like it was the saddest sight in the world. Resolutely, she picked up her dessert fork and (choosing life) cut into one of the pears. As the warm flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg burst in her mouth, she tried to think of something to say.
“How is the port?” She reluctantly let the question escape her lips, but before Rumple could answer, a cheerful giggling from the adjacent table captured their attention.
Squinting, Belle could make out a very young couple, in their teens, not-so-secretly passing a silver flask between them under the table. Each time the girl took a small sip she laughed producing a delightful jingling sound and the boy looked at her like she was the sweetest thing on this earth. They were tucked together at the table experiencing their first foray into ‘adult’ dating and all that it entails  — soft candlelight, fancy food and clothing, and hushed serious tones. But like most teens their natural enthusiasm for being unleashed on the world could’t be tamped down. They awkwardly held hands and fussed with their cutlery as they waited for their next course. They talked just a bit too loud.
Belle’s mind jolted with memories, but she quickly realized they weren’t her memories. They were Lacey’s. Like a book she read long ago and could only recall small portions of the story, Lacey’s memories were vague and full of feeling more than specifics. However, in this moment, she could recall ‘memories’ of Lacey as a fresh teen going to parties and playing drinking games with her peers. She could feel the thrill of drinking alcohol like an adult. Mostly she remembered laughter. Laughing while a bottle spun round and round between her circle of friends; anticipating the person it would choose for her next kiss. Laughing when she proclaimed “Never have I ever…” and watching her friends sheepishly drink a shot and admitting to some embarrassing deed. Lacey’s nights out as a teen were a strange mixture of vulnerability and….fun. Belle could confidently guess that Rumple’s cursed memories didn’t contain anything like Lacey’s shenanigans, and she was positive he’d never participated in even the simple games children played in Fairytale Land.
She reached across the table and took the glass of port from Rumple’s fingers. Gaining his attention, he seemed dazed like a schoolboy caught daydreaming during his lessons, Belle took a big breath and smiled at him. It was time to breathe some life back into this half-dead date.
“Let’s get the check and then I want you to come with me, but before you do, I need you to promise me one thing.”
Rumple’s eyebrows raised at that. They tried not to practice in promises. They were still learning their own limitations as a couple and making promises could be dangerous.
“Belle, sweetheart, are you sure?”
“Trust me. Promise that you’ll keep an open mind.” She tried to infuse her smile with as much assurance as possible.
“Ok, darling” Belle almost missed the sigh that accompanied it, but she wouldn’t be deterred. This was a situation of her own making and she needed to fix it.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The rush of wind was wonderfully refreshing. It was just what they needed after the heavy warmth of the restaurant. Belle had insisted on walking through town. They could get the car later. Rumple had never been happier to be cold, because it meant Belle was snuggled tight into his side. The small table at which they’d been seated at Gusteau’s made it feel like he was trying to hold a conversation with someone on the opposite side of a football field. No matter how hard he’d tried to keep the flow of conversation going it was inundated with long pauses and stilted answers. It’d been excruciating. He’d felt like he was failing Belle with each course serving more awkward pauses than the last until finally dessert was served with outright silence.
Another gust of wind blew back the flaps of his coat, and he tugged them closer around him and his beloved Belle. They stood by the harbor looking out into the vast darkness of the sea. Belle was practically molded to him. He buried his face in her thick auburn tresses, once darker and curly they had straightened into waves with age, but it didn’t matter. He loved her no matter what. After all, he had changed too - his hair had been chopped short by his own hand. He was sometimes self-conscious of the change he’d made, but as if she could read his thoughts, at those times Belle would take the opportunity to gently massage his scalp letting her fingers slip and slide through his shorn greying hair. How he loved her. It was the reason he was so panicked about their lackluster evening - she was bored. She wanted to have fun, but honestly Rumple wasn’t sure he was capable of such a thing. His life hadn’t exactly been built on the idea of carefree joy. His parents had abandoned him and, until Belle came along, so had everyone else either by death, circumstance, or outright choice. What did he know about fun?
Belle turned in his arms nuzzling the smooth skin of his jawline which then turned into small kisses and nibbles. The biting cold and Belle’s amorous affection had him fighting for breath.
“Is this the part where I’m supposed to ‘keep an open mind’?”
Chuckling, Belle murmured, “Not quite.” She pulled back a fraction so she could see his face, “Have you ever heard of Truth or Dare?”
Rumple faltered for a reply. “Uh…yes, it’s some kind of game teenagers in this realm like to play.” He couldn’t keep the perplexed look off his face.
“Yes!” She hugged him tighter and he could feel her jump up and down a little. “I think we should play it.” His comically stunned face urged her to add, “I’ll even go first.”
“Why. Why do you want to play Truth or Dare? Darling we’re a bit old for such things.”
“Nonsense.” Her prim response was accompanied by a tug on his tie. “I think it’s just what we need.”
At Rumple’s raised eyebrows, she continued, “I think we are talked out. We need something fun to do. And unless you want to suddenly become more social and do a…” she floundered for an example, “a pottery class together or some other group activity, then I think playing some silly games together is just what we need!”
Rumple still looked unconvinced.
“Please, Rumple. Try. For me.”
And that was the straw breaking the camel’s back. They both knew he couldn’t deny her this. She never asked for much in their relationship, and how could he say no to a simple game? Even one that was excruciatingly juvenile. A great huff escaped him and after one long exaggerated groan, that made her giggle, he said, “ok ok. But you go first.”
Belle straightened up expectedly. “Ok, ask me!”
With an endearing smile, Rumple muttered, “Truth or Dare?”
“Truth!”
Rumple moved Belle to his side and kept them walking along the pier. He pursed his lips and swayed his head playing at putting some serious consideration into the devious question he would ask. The question she would have no choice but to answer with complete honesty. Rolling her eyes at the theatrics, Belle waited with bated breath.
“What is the last lie you told?”
Belle snapped her head up in surprise. She really should’ve known that the infamous Rumpelstiltskin, wordsmith extraordinaire, would’ve chosen a question meant to disarm her. The look of smug satisfaction on his face made her want to kiss it right off him, but that could wait.
“Hmmm I don’t lie very often.”
“Well you’re a saint, darling, but try your hardest to think of something.”
Ignoring his sarcasm, Belle answered, “Last week at Granny’s, Snow and Red were arguing about how often a couple should have sex. I happened to walk in for a cup of tea, and somehow got trapped in the conversation.” At this Rumple snorted and Belle elbowed him in the ribs, “Anyway,” she said pointedly, “Snow was saying that after a couple has children, they’ll be lucky to have sex every few months! She expected me to agree, and well….clearly she and David are going through a dry spell and I didn’t want to make her feel bad…..so I just kind of smiled and didn’t disagree with her.”
“That’s it? A lie of omission?”
“It’s still a lie.”
“Barely.”
“Oh please, it counts and you, sir,” she pointed a manicured finger at him, “are filled with glee to know that we’re having more sex than the king and queen.”
Rumple chuckled and played at trying to bite her finger.
“Your turn! Truth or Dare?” The sparkle in Belle’s eyes made playing this ridiculous game worth it.
 “Dare”
“I dare you……to sneak into Granny’s Diner and leave three hundred and fifty dollars in the tip jar. You mustn’t be seen and you can’t use magic.”
“Absolutely not.”
“You have to! That’s the game.”
“What makes you think I have that large amount of money on me.”
“…….”
“Ok. I have that amount, but I don’t see why I should give it to — wait. Is it possible Granny is having trouble making rent this month?”
Belle arranged her face into what she hoped was the picture of innocence. “Life is full of possibilities.”
“Uh huh, only you my dearest Belle could take what’s supposed to be a devious game and turn it into a tool for good deeds.”
“It’s a gift.”
“I only have hundred dollar bills on me. Do you have change?”
“No, but I’m happy to amend the dare from three fifty to four hundred.”
“How flexible of you.”
Belle grinned and grabbed the collar of his coat pulling him down for a kiss designed to leave him breathless. She pressed her body against his and sunk her fingertips into his hair pulling on the short locks. When she let him up for air, she whispered, “Complete your task and, maybe afterwards, I’ll show you just how flexible I can be.”
Without giving him a chance to blink, she pulled away and walked ahead of him. If she hadn’t been wearing such high heels he was certain she’d be skipping. Rumple just stood there reminding himself how to breathe and with a shake of his head thought, So this is what it feels like to know you’re being manipulated and not care in the least.
— - - - - - - - - - - - - -
In the end, the dare was quite easy to accomplish. At that time of night Granny’s only had a few patrons, thankfully the kind that liked to keep to themselves, and the only people working were a short-order cook and Granny herself. The plan had been to wait until Granny went into the back, and then Rumple would quietly walk through the front door, slip the money into the tip jar, and continue out the back door where Belle would be waiting.
But as Rumple waited just outside the front door for the opportune moment, a giant crash could be heard and Granny went running to the back of the building. Before Rumple could register what was happening, he saw Belle scurrying down the street and Granny in the back yelling something about “damned raccoons.” Knowing it was now or never, Rumple whipped open the door, ran towards the tip jar sitting innocuously next to the cash register, and it wasn’t so much that he stopped at the counter rather that the counter stopped him—his custom-made Italian shoes weren’t made for quick movements on freshly mopped floors. So after slamming into the counter, he hastily shoved the cash into the jar, and hightailed it back out the front door.
Miraculously, no one saw him.
He found Belle hiding next to the pharmacy doubled over with snorts of laughter muffled by her hands. Her feet were bare and she was holding onto only one of her shoes. She tried to explain between giant huffs of laughter, but Rumple simply held up a hand and said, “Belle mishap.” Before Belle could ask what that meant, he gathered her in his arms and snapping his fingers *poofed* them back to their house in a cloud of magic.
Belle was still giggling as they stumbled into their entryway kissing and pawing at each others clothing. Rumple wasn’t one to let other’s emotions effect him, but Belle’s joy swept them up creating an elation he’d never known before. They landed in front of the fireplace which had magically been lit and several fluffy blankets and pillows spread out before it.
Smiling like a fool, Rumple pecked kisses over Belle’s body as more and more skin was revealed to him. Her lingerie was nothing like the black corset ensemble he’d missed out on. Instead she wore a sheer forest green bralette with matching hip hugging panties. It was staggering in its simplicity, highlighting the fairness of her skin and giving her curves freedom to move. He delighted in it; kissing and biting and even tickling the spots he knew were most sensitive. Between breathy laughs Belle managed to divest Rumple of his own clothes, and they took their time reveling in each other.
Their previous lovemaking had been permeated with an intense need to show their love and devotion with their bodies. Trying to make up for all the past hurt by clinging to each other while they physically connected as close as possible for two humans to be. But this time was about joy and happiness. Their was no rush to reach their bliss. It would most certainly come, but this was about loving each other with light not darkness. Belle found a few of Rumple’s ticklish spots and for a moment lovemaking was paused in favor of a naked tickle fight until one of Belle’s legs ended up hooking over Rumple’s shoulder putting them in a delicious position that neither could pass up. With mirth in their eyes, a wordless conversation passed between them about Belle’s promised flexibility.
They rocked together at a rhythm they both knew so well. The familiarity was far from boring. Instead they loved each other with gratitude as deep as their kisses. They were so lucky to know each other this well and for this long. The happiness on Belle’s face was mirrored by his own. It felt like sunlight surrounded them and clear blue skies were reflected in Belle’s eyes. Rumple realized that this was what fun was - it was turning your face towards the sun even on a cloudy day. It was actively finding joy and laughter, and if you can’t find it, you make it. Just like Belle did.
Afterwards, they lounged by the fire enjoying lazy kisses and caresses. They teased each other about the horrendous dinner they endured, and Belle told him about Lacey’s memories saving their date night.
“So what other games does little Lacey remember?”
Belle thought for a moment before ticking off her fingers, “Well there’s Spin the Bottle, Seven Minutes in Heaven, Never Have I Ever-”
“Hmmm group games,” Rumple grumbled.
“We could play Two Truths and A Lie.”
“You would dare play a game that requires deception with words with Rumpelstiltskin?”
“Oh I think I could manage.”
Rumple tutted and pinched her side making Belle squeak, “Ok, but you go first.”

For the fandom ships ask; Merlin, and Once upon a time?
Oooh thank you!!
Merlin
OTP: This is not going to be the popular choice but honestly,,, Merlin/Morgana. I think they had such a facinating dynamic and I would have loved to see the writers follow through with it, especially in the later series. Doomed from the start and intrinsically linked, everyone telling him it's a bad idea for different reasons, everyone telling her she couldn't possibly be with him........ yeah, that's the good shit
Favourite canon pairing: Arthur and Gwen were SO cute and I'm happy for them (and their third, Merlin)
Worst pairing ever: Gwen/Lancelot, specifically when he got back because obviously. He wasn't him, she was spelled, and worst of all, there was never any resolution. Still haunted by the fact that everyone expect Merlin (including Gwen herself) really thinks she just. Cheated on Arthur. Heartbreaking
Guilty pleasure pairing: Morgana and Gwen <3 They're so cute and also the HEARTBREAK,,, when Morgana comes back and Gwen pretends to still be her friend and,,,,,,,,, THEM. The guilty part comes from the fact that I know a lot of this ship comes form the "get the women out of the way for mlm ship" mentality, but that's obviously not why I like it soooooo
A pairing you want to see more: Honestly both Morgana/Gwen and Merlin/Morgana. I know everyone loves Arthur/Merlin and they ARE fuckin valid and cute, but I really feel more people should multi-ship because Merlin has SUCH good dynamics with other people, and despite people *saying* they ship Morgana/Gwen there is a suspicious lack of content for them
That pairing everyone likes but you’re like “lol no”: Honestly I feel like I haven't spent enough time in the fandom for this?? I can't think of any, but that might just be because, again, I am a shameless multi-shipper and polyam enjoyer
Favourite non-romantic pair: Gwen and Merlin! I know they had a lil fling early on, but they became such a solid platonic duo and also I think it'd be really funny when they just casually mention that one time they kissed. Everyone would be scandalous (Arthur especially. "What do you mean you kissed Merlin before me??")
Once Upon a Time
OTP: Swanqueen!!!!! Obviously. They were in LOVE and I will DIE on this hill
Favourite canon pairing: Okay okay okay I know this is controversial BUT. For the reasons of "I enjoy fucked up people and their fucked up dynamics" ........Rumple/Evil Queen
Worst pairing ever: Robin/Regina. I liked that she was happy and that's about the only good thing I have to say about it like,,, come on. I just. Why
Guilty pleasure pairing: Okay okay hear me out. Captain Hook/Evil Queen. I just feel like, in the enchanted forest,,,,,,,, some shit happened. And I also think it makes their dynamic funnier when they meet again in Storybrook (see the non-romantic pair)
A pairing you want to see more: Ruby/Belle! Ruby was obviously fruity af and I always thought they'd be a cute couple but there is. not much support there lmao
That pairing everyone likes but you’re like “lol no”: Honestly? Belle/Rumple. She deserved better! Girlie was NOT down with the atrocities and they were wayyyy too much a part of him. Every time he tried to twist himself in knots to be a Good Person (especially when he was the Dark One?? Like, we saw with Emma, it was such a strong compulsion warping their minds, he very much tried to resist it but he also. Literally couldn't. The fuckin saviour couldn't like why are you blaming him) and failed, she'd get so mad and leave and then,,,, the writers would throw them back together again. Like lads. Let them go. Please
Favourite non-romantic pair: Regina/Killian. I think their interactions were SO fucking funny and she hated him so much. The bullying. The nicknames. Him sitting there like a wet cat. His best scenes were when he was alone with her and wish we'd lent into that instead of pushing his ~relationship~ with Emma
Send me a fandom and I'll answer these questions!

For the fandoms ask D, K, T, V
Oh @booksteaandtoomuchtv!!! Thank you so much for the ask! I really wanted to do some of these, so I'm glad you saw the reblog and sent them my way. :) Have a great Friday!!
D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can't: I hear people talk about FrankenWolf (Ruby x Victor Whale) which does sound like a cool pairing in theory, but I just can't get over not really liking Victor that much, and pretty much finding him to be a jerk and a letch. Ruby is seriously such an awesome character that I want her to be with only the best significant other. ;P
Tumblr media
K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
I feel like it has to be Killian Jones here. <3 He certainly isn't the only character who goes through a LOT of pain and trauma, but he genuinely learns from where he has stumbled and what he has been through. He starts out so hopeful and innocent, as the young lieutenant hoping he and his older brother can earn glory for their family name, and he gives into the Darkness when he sees how cruel and unfair the world can truly be. He does become a villain, but it is never out of pointless cruelty or just to flaunt his power either. Killian's villain story makes sense, and you're never unable to sympathize or see where he's coming from and how he got there. And THEN! He puts in the work - plain and simple. He decides to be a part of something good, to find that honorable man inside himself, and he becomes a true hero. He accepts blame when he must, he makes amends to those he's wronged, and his courage and bravery are undeniable by the end. Of the show's numerous redemption arcs, Killian Jones is the one with the best, most clear, consistent development . It often seems like he has to redeem himself over and over again, but he does it, where so many of the others fail.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
I'm really partial to the idea that Graham might have befriended Belle before the Dark Curse was cast, when she was Regina's prisoner in the castle tower and he was forced to be one of Regina's Black Knights because she had his heart. I like to think he might have snuck food or books to her when Regina wasn't looking, so that she had some sort of entertainment and didn't go crazy locked in there all alone. I would have loved to have seen them interact once the curse broke in Storybrooke and have had that story proven true...
I still believe it though, regardless. In my head, it definitely happened.
Tumblr media
V- Which character do you relate to most? Probably Belle. I mean, she's always been my favorite princess, to start with. With her nose in the book and just her whole aspect really. I loved her portrayal on Once and thought Emilie DeRavin did a great job bringing her too life. They just should have given her more ventures and action with the heroes instead of tying her down to almost exclusively revolving herself around Rumple. Anyway, she's still the one I probably feel most like.

35 - Past Comes Calling
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part 36
His Golden Princess
@lostweasleychild @fanficismydrug @misskitty1912-blog @drakoneve
Do you want me to start including more flashbacks of Emma and Astrid??? Let me know down below.
Shutting one of the books from the clock tower library I huffed resting my arms on top of it eyeing my husband. “I don’t understand why we can’t just melt the whole ice wall now. I mean my sister is safe and the person who literally created the wall is now staying in my parents apartment.”
The woman in the blue dress named Elsa was concerned with finding out what happened to her sister Anna. She desperately wanted her back safely where I could understand that. But I didn’t understand why her ice wall was still a problem. “Yes we can obviously melt it, lass. But we have no idea what that girl spelled it with. She could curse the entire town if we provoke her spell.”
“Am I hearing that right? The man that is literally named the Dark One is concerned with a spell. I thought you didn’t let anyone or anything stand in your way.” I teased him by flipping my hair out of my eyes, sending him a slight glare.
Rumple moved around the glass counter gently snapping me by my wrist quickly tugging me into his chest. “I am…” He said in a low growl making me hitch a breath in my throat blushing a little at finding it rather intriguing. His eyes held sternly for a moment before he spoke his next words softly. “Except now I have you and this little one of ours on the way. I don’t want anything happening to you.”
“If you say so. Now I am going to get some ice cream. Do you want to join me?” I asked breaking away from him.
He shakes his head no, gesturing towards another pile of books sitting near us that we needed to go through. “I’ll let you take a break on your own. If you want, bring me back a cone.” Heading through the shop door the bell rang with me walking a few blocks finding the shop. Henry had gotten me turned onto this shop before Pan’s curse and now I love it.
“Hey, are you open yet? Holy crap it’s you.” I paused in my steps seeing a familiar blonde woman that used to mean everything to me and my sister when we were kids.
The woman who I remembered was named Ingrid. "Astrid. Oh my gosh it's been so long. Look at you, you're all grown up. Is your sister here?"
"That's none of your business. I'll just take two chocolate cones and then I'm leaving." I responded back in annoyance. This woman is the reason Emma and I didn't talk for a few years before she ended up in jail pregnant.
She slowly handed me two cones watching me leave. "Come back soon."
Making my way back into Rumple's shop I slammed the door behind me scoffing under my breath. He comes out from being in the backroom seeing my current state. "What happened, lass?” He takes his ice cone and mine from my hands.
“Someone from my past is here…here in Storybrooke.” I muttered pressing my back against the red wooden door feeling my heart quickening inside my chest.
“Emma. Em wait!” I called chasing my sister down the street. We had been spending the day at the fair with Ingrid and she told us that she was thinking of adopting us.
She halted in her tracks spinning around on her feet with some tears in her eyes. “That woman is insane…she nearly got us kicked Ast. I can’t believe the first person who would actually want to adopt us both turns out to be nuts!”
“Maybe she is right. That we are special and I don’t mean normal special. We could be something more than we even realize…like uh…like we have magic or something.” I stumbled on my word’s trying to remain hopeful that we would find a home like someone would in a kids story book.
My sister put her hand over, sighing heavily. “Astrid just stop. That woman is insane and I can’t believe you think that she is onto something.”
“Well it’s better to believe in something crazy that might give you hope then to just get your heart broken over and over!” I raised my voice feeling some tears falling down my face. “Maybe we have to change what we are doing…and go our separate ways.”
“You mean get adopted by different families…Astrid we probably won’t ever see each other ever again.” My sister’s voice cracked at my suggestion but it would come to pay off later in a few years until she met a girl named Lily.
Shoving my hands in the pockets of my jacket I turned on my heels and walked away from her not talking to her until we got back to the house. “Maybe having magic like Harry Potter wouldn’t be so bad.”
Sliding down onto the floor I gripped my blonde hair in my hands finally meeting the deep gaze of my husband. He stands in front of me since he couldn’t bend down very well with the limo even though he had magic. “Rumple I…I need something to take my mind off it. I buried my feelings on that momester kf a woman years ago.”
He throws away the melting ice cream and offers me his freehand pulling me up to stand where I fling my arms around his neck sniffing into his shoulder. “Sssh lass. What do you want me to do. Give me her name and I’ll handle it.”
“No…no nothing like that. Let’s just talk about magic…um you’re dagger. Tell me about your dagger.” I begged him wiping away tears with my sleeve letting him lead me into the back room where I sat down on the cot bed waiting until he re-entered carrying the knife in his hands since he had put it back inside the safe behind the painting.
Moving over I made space for him to sit watching him spin the blade in between his hands not looking me in the eye for a few moments. “Astrid there isn’t much about this and the powers that come with it that you don’t already know.”
“Immortality. You can be controlled with it and it can kill you. Whoever kills you becomes the new Dark One. But there has to be more, there’s always more with any magic.” I responded by intertwining my hands together in my lap feeling my blood boiling. I really wanted to throw a fireball at Ingrid because she made me and my sister have our very first heated fight. It took almost five years before we reunited and had moved past it.
He nods, holding the blade out where I slowly take it into my hands. Rumple closely watches me hold the blade. He knew for certain that you would never use it to control him by any means necessary. “Indeed it can do those things, lass. But I can also hear the voices of the past Dark ones. It is a tricky thing to handle.”
“I assume they wouldn’t be happy to see what I do to you, make you good.” I pointed out feeling him tuck some hair behind my ear, making me look into his brown eyes.
He sent me a weak smile squeezing my hand before I handed him the dagger back grabbing the keys to the shop door. Rumple pushed the painting back, messing with the safe lock sitting the dagger back inside. “Astrid….Astrid..” Blinking my eyes a couple times I could have sworn that I heard an eary voice call my name with a little giggle at the end.
“Astrid. Sweetheart you alright?” Rumple’s tone drew me from my trance so I closed the door following him outside.
“Oh uh yeah. I thought I heard something but it was nothing I guess.” Sneaking one last look through the window at the painting I got a bad feeling at the thought that it really was a voice I heard. Like it was some kind of magic.
Comments really appreciated ❤️

Cygnet Scholar Ship Headcanons
Tumblr media
My last main Next Gen ship, Hope Swan-Jones and Gideon Gold!
This ship is my bias for some reason lmao. I can't explain why I love the ship between two barely there characters who never met in canon.
I think that @kazoosandfannypacks put it best in the tags of this post: "'our parents are sworn enemies but we're childhood best friends to lovers' is SUCH a good dynamic."
Also, idk if I ever mentioned this, but in this AU, Gideon stays in Storybrooke and grows up normally there, so he's about a year older than Hope, and four or five months younger than Robyn.
Tropes: Childhood friends to lovers || Kindred spirits || Will-they-won’t-they || Partners in crime || They both like each other, they’re just idiots || Banter
Songs: Chasing Cars- Snow Patrol || Follow You- Imagine Dragons || The Last of the Real Ones- Fall Out Boy || Fire Escape- Andrew McMahon || Sober Up- AJR || Hold Me While You Wait- Lewis Capaldi
Headcanons Under the Cut: (all pre-relationship)
They’ve been best friends since they were toddlers.
They were very close in elementary school, somewhat drifted apart in middle school, and got very close again in high school.
Gideon has liked Hope since early middle school. Hope started liking him in late middle school/ early high school.
Since Gideon is a year older, they don’t have many classes together, but they meet up in the library at lunch.
Gideon is a mathlete, and Hope is on the school dance team. They try to go to each other’s events after school.
Since they’re both socially inept, they like to hang out in places where there aren't a lot of people. Their favorite spots are: The roof of Mr. Gold’s pawn shop, the clock tower in the library, and the beach on stormy days.
Hope loves talking to Gideon about her hyperfixations, and Gideon loves listening to her.
Hope calls Gideon “Croc,” “Love,” and “Handsome Hero.” Gideon calls Hope “Cygnet,” “Princess,” and “Dearest.”
Gideon has chronic nightmares from his time as the Black Fairy’s puppet, and Hope is happy to distract him when he doesn’t want to bother his mom.
They both leave their windows unlocked at night, and are constantly sneaking into each other’s rooms after nightmares/ anxiety.
Hope doesn’t have any magic, and Gideon fears his own magic. They like to complain about these problems together.
Hope got them those tacky best friend heart necklaces for Gideon’s birthday. Both claim it was a joke, but they rarely take them off.
Gideon is 5’8, and Hope is 5’3, so he picks her up a lot. Mainly to convince her not to do stupid things.
Hope has tried to date a few people before realizing she had it bad for Gideon (including Robyn, but that’s another post) nothing ever worked out longer than a few weeks, and a few were Not Great relationships. Since Gideon is the Dark One’s son, a lot of kids his age either fear him or bully him relentlessly. So not great in the dating department.
Gideon never put much thought into his sexual orientation, but he knows he likes both girls and guys. Hope knew she was asexual pretty early on. She figured out that she was demiromantic later through Alex Boyd, Storybrooke’s resident queer helper-outer.
Since the whole…thing with Gideon’s dad being mortal enemies with Hope’s dad, and Gideon almost killing Hope’s mom or whatever, Gideon always assumes that Killian and Emma hate him, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Emma, Killian, and Belle all look forward to the day when Hope and Gideon finally get together. (Rumple cheated and looked into the future so he knows that they do lol)

The Light Of Days...
Tumblr media
Summary: Part 1 to a series. This is a crossover between The Mummy (1999) and a bit of Once Upon a Time although it's mentioned and only appears at the beginning and end of the series. This is an Ardeth Bay x Oc. I'll explain my Oc at the end. Also, not my gif.
Warnings: Slight angst
Alana POV
I looked at the papers before me that I had collected from Regina. She was a bit concerned about the whole thing but, it had to be done. I can't get in the way even if I still loved my soon to be ex husband. With a heavy heart, I put the papers on the table that my husband was sat at, polishing an antique. He looked at my solemn face then at the documents. "What's this?" he asked, putting down the artefact and picking up the papers. He froze when he saw what it meant.
"Divorce papers. I'll need your signature. I've already signed it," I muttered. His dark brown eyes looked into my amber ones. "W-Why?" Rumple asked, standing up. "It's not because of anything you did. I see the way you look at Belle and her in return. We loved each other once, long ago but, that passion and love is elsewhere. You've found that in her and I can't blame you. We may be a balance, my love but, I cannot deny this feeling. You are meant to be with her, not with me," I explained, taking my wedding band and engagement ring off and putting it on the desk. "I'm sorry," Rumplestiltskin whispered after I turned my back to walk away. "I forgive you. Treat her well, Rumple. For I know true love when I see it. She shall repair your heart and fix your struggles. She is the light you have been looking for. Goodbye," I said, trying not to show my sadness in my tone before walking out of the shop.
I went to my house and got changed into my uniform, putting my dagger in its holster upon my thigh and writing a letter to Emma, saying that I was leaving and if she was in need of my services, she merely speak the incantation to summon me. Teleporting to the roof of the clocktower, I observed the town of Storybrooke, taking mental pictures and remembering the good times of my stay. But now, it'll be best if I leave and let them find their own way.
Without thinking, I teleported myself, wanting to be far away. What do I get for not thinking of a location? A face full of sand. Pulling myself up, I vigorously wiped my face to get the sand out of my eyes and mouth. Once I could see, I opened my eyes. Okay, pyramids in the distance. I'm in Egypt. But, these should be ruins. Why do they look brand new? There was shouting so I quickly rose to my feet to see people wearing ancient clothing. Hang on............. did I time travel?! A man with an intense gaze walked up to me. Seeing the scimitar in his hand, I decided not to let him close to me. Throwing my hand back, I threw him backwards, sending him into the ground, sprawled out. That's when archers decided to get a bit brave and sent arrows flying my way.
Growling, I decided to shapeshift into a dragon. I roared loudly as the citizens and guards below whispered and gasped. Then, they all got down on their knees and bowed before me. That was different................
*****
So, this woman is called Alana Hanlon. Her last name means light. She was a young kind woman in a village. Her soul was pure and no darkness could ever enter her heart. Her mother died because of a disease and she was raised by her father.
However, she got the very same disease and no matter how hard her father tried, he couldn't save her. So, her father made a deal with the Dark One. As long as she lived, she couldn't go back to see her father nor her village.
She became the Light One with advanced magic and the ability to control the elements and shapeshift. However, she can't see the future like Rumplestiltskin. Over time, the two fell in love with each other and got married after the curse had been broken but ever since Belle turned up, Alana saw that her husband's love was with her. Not wanting to get in the way of true love, she broke up with him. Hope you enjoy. I may be a bit slow on updates.

OUAT Thoughts Pt.73--Episodes 17-18
I have watched through S7E18; spoilers DNI. Also, spoiler warning for anyone further behind than I am.
—Maybe doing shots while trying to protect yourself against a killer isn’t the best idea. *raises eyebrow at Zelena*
—How can she even consider marrying Chad? I realize he knows now that she has a gnarly past, but he doesn’t have a clue about the fairytale stuff, and the odds of her being able to either live with that detail omitted or actually convince Chad to believe it are pretty slim.
—The idea of fairytale characters leaving their communities to be regular people in the regular world is awful. It’s an unfortunate case of the magic being sucked out of life. It’s fine when it’s one of Storybrooke curses and it’s going to be fixed, and everyone stays together, but when it’s a different curse and I don’t know how it’s going to end and people are actually leaving it just loses a little bit of the sparkle.
—That made no sense, but if you understand the feeling I was trying to convey, here is a gold star 🫴🌟 You deserve it.
—So Zelena burning Hansel’s arms was a greater offense to him than Drizella and Gothel being responsible for Gretel’s death. Alright.
—You know, I don’t like Hansel, but when he snarked on Henry’s lack of belief, considering his Truest Believer status, I couldn’t help agreeing. It’s about time somebody said it.
—Ngl, episode 18 was kind of immensely upsetting. I feel like I’m Alice or Rumple, but I haven’t found my Robin or Belle. Like Alice, I have good days and I have pretty crappy days, but I don’t have a person in my life I know is going to see the best in me and love me on the bad days. A big part of it is that Alice is not too good at what I think is considered normal communication/conversation with other people, and in real life I stumble over words a lot more than I do on here, and I’m not good at figuring out what to say to begin with, and I’m still waiting to find somebody who thinks I’m worth it anyway.
—Now that I’ve been a big Debbie Downer, on to the other stuff!
—Seeing Rumple in full Dark One mode, very clearly a broken man, is one of the saddest moments in the entire show. He’s historically been one of the most confident, secure, bright people in the show, and now all he’s got is the madness.
—Also, him choosing to continue his weary existence so Alice and Robin could be happy together? That made me cry too. Bless him.
—Robin being the messenger between Alice and Hook is one of the sweetest things I can think of. Very good girlfriend.
—Hook accepting that Rumple had changed also made me cry. Man, these two episodes were killer. But he didn’t see the entire span of Rumple’s life, like original Hook did. All he had was the word of other people, which he didn’t trust, and a singe noble act for his daughter, and honestly that being the thing to convince Hook that Rumple was alright is amazing.
—I’m gonna need him to wake up, though, because A) I miss him, and 2) he needs to be reunited with Alice fr.
—The friendship bracelet thing is awesome. Alice and Robin are the best.
—Alice taking care of Rumple in the New Enchanted Forest, and them being friends in Hyperion Heights, is now a sucker punch to the feels. Sure, she’s the Guardian, so she’s compelled to guard him as the Dark One, but there’s a more personal dimension to their relationship that I love. They were friends before, and then he sacrificed his happy ending to make sure she got hers, and it’s absolutely lovely.
—Rumple’s happy ending being death is terribly sad. Everybody else has happy endings that seem a bit implausible or unattainable at times, but they always involve living to love someone.
—It’s totally unnecessary, but I love that Alice corrected Robin from ‘mom and pop bookstore’ to ‘pop and pop bookstore.’ Did they have to put that line in there? No. Does it really mean anything? Again, no, but its casualness and the fact that it isn’t made out to mean anything big or grand is v swaggy to me. This season kinda makes me wish the first seasons had been a little bit queerer.
—It’s fun how Hyperion Heights reversed Alice and Robin’s roles in regards to how widely-traveled they are. It’s fun to watch that knowing more than the characters do.
—I’m a little bit mad at Rumple for taking the magic, because I don’t want Henry to die, but if Regina makes me choose between her and Rumple I’m gonna back Rumple. If he’s got one ride-or-die, I’m it; if he’s got none, I’m dead.
—Kinda wish we had gotten Facilier a little bit earlier, not in the show, because I think he works well with the other characters on the board right now, but in the season, because he’s shaping up to be a pretty intimidating guy, and I’m not sure I think his full potential will be explored.
—Not backing him, though, because he’s in direct opposition to Rumple, and as stated above there is nobody I will choose over him.
—I disagree with some of the personality choices they’ve made for Henry in this season (although I think I understand the narrative reasons) but I think they did an excellent job casting Henry. On a scale of “did they time travel to get the original actor at the right age” to “what the hell were they thinking,” this guy lands right on “I would believe these actors were brothers.” His expressions are spot-on.
—Seeing how much Rumple and Zelena and Hook want Alice and Robin to be happy together makes me happy.
—I’m starting to have the sads about being so close to the end of the show. I don’t adore this season the way I adore the other six, but the end of it is the end of the show that I love, and the end of the stories of the characters I love. Plus, I’m pretty sure Rumple is going to die at the end, and I don’t think I’m emotionally buff enough to handle that.
—To cheer ourselves up, my mom and I are now listening to some of the songs from the musical episode, because that is our happy place. It’s actually low-key working, because how can I be sad with the gorgeous sound of Hook’s voice?

What happens when the lives of four women collide in the now growing town of Storybrooke. One who is trying to move on with her life from searching for her pack back in the Enchanted Forest with no avail, another who is still searching for her own, and more just like her, a newly made she-wolf trying to forget a tragic deed that happened long ago before being separated from her pack. Lastly an ex-werewolf hunter who suddenly falls for what they used to hunt, that of one who saved her life after making their first necessary kill. They all share a very common bond, one that they will soon find out about each other, will it spell disaster in the making? Or the making of romance, friendships, or tragedy. Soon upon these discoveries they may just have to become the hunter, or wind up becoming…the prey. "Friend or foe? There's no way to know, through the battlefield of life, it's kill or be killed." War Eternal by Arch Enemy !Femslash !Werewolves
Meghan Ory, Alissa White-Gluz, Lindsey Stirling, and Siobhan Williams are my main characters in this story so do enjoy. ;-)
Chapter 1: The Stranger
Disclaimer: Anything you don't recognize from the show is mine. This is just a Fanfic not real stuff ya know. ;-)
Warnings: Femslash, romance, drama, humor, and graphic violence.
~~~~~~~
It was a somber evening in the town of Storybrooke, one that was growing vastly due to the town's Mayor improving the revenue of more businesses for work, entertainment, and pleasure. It did make for very good business she thought, well so much for everyone knowing each other's names anymore, but yet there were a few that still did, which was fine ya know all of the oldies but goodies from the Enchanted Forest and all. After the curse was broken years ago things couldn't have been better, although Regina wasn't sure about it at times, they were getting some newer residents, ones from every walk of life, which is fine, because Emma, David, and few other deputies kept the town safe, secure, and manageable. I mean Emma for one was the town Savior so no one would dare cross her and not regret it.
We still had Granny's Bed and Breakfast, Snow's school that she would work in, Belle and the Library, and there was of course Rumple also known as Mr. Gold and his vintage shop of trades and such, who has minded his p's and q's for a long ol time thank goodness, cause if not, he knows that Regina would ship him straight back to the underworld. The mayor was walking down the street letting the wind softly flow through her long dark locks that flowed past her shoulders, she was still as beautiful as ever, Swan was a lucky lady that's for sure. As she continued to head down the concrete sidewalks toward the sheriff's office to meet Emma for dinner, her head turned when she heard a loud engine behind her. She regarded it for a moment when she saw it was just a big bus dropping people off for a visit, or maybe other things.
"Oook more visitors, who would have thunk that we would get so much business?" The mistress smiled to herself thinking about what a mark Storybrooke has made for itself. "Damn I love this place."
"How about me?" Swan coyly asked as she stood in front of the office door.
Regina shook her head at the beautiful blonde. "Is that really a question? One you should already know that answer to dear."
"Nah I don't remember, if you do or not I..."
Before Emma could say anything else the Mayor grabbed her trademark red jacket collar pulling the sassy savior into a very deep and passionate kiss that lasted for a while, they broke away making them smile in unison. "There is your answer, will that suffice hun?"
"Uhm...yessss?"
"Good. Ok so how about that dinner, I cooked something that's in the oven, hope you like it."
"I'm sure I will, especially when we have dessert afterwards, that's always my favorite." The swan remarked biting into Gina's neck.
"Heh heh, ok, ok, feisty one, let's get going before we give the new people that just got off the bus a show."
"Well, should we charge for it?"
"Shut up! My goodness woman...save that for later from peering eyes. You are for my eyes, and my eyes only." The mistress stated while grabbing her firm ass.
"Aye aye captain."
Regina gave an eye-roll, before grabbing the hand of her lover. "Gees, lets just go..."
~~~~~~~
Meanwhile at granny's diner it was bustling with customers, the elder liked this new found business for sure, it just wasn't good for tonight since two of her workers are out, so Ruby and the other two girls were making haste with the orders, and it was a good thing Ruby has stamina to burn, one of the great perks about being a wolf. The elder noticed the man in booth 5 on his smartphone, waiting for his meal which he has been waiting for quite some time.
"Ok Ruby I need this entree to go to the gentleman on booth 5."
The beautiful brunette scoffed, how she didn't want to go to that booth. The young man by the name of Michael, also known as Big Mike which he likes to be called at times to match his ego, was sitting there, he was nothing but an arrogant, egotistical, chauvinistic pig who has been trying to get into Ruby's pants since day one. Take it he was very handsome and he knew it, wavy short brown hair, chestnut eyes that would basically undress any pretty lady that he came in contact with, nice clothes and expensive cologne that he drowned himself in. Ruby sneezed over it at one point, how she hated having such a pronounced sniffer due to her keen senses. It was so bad it made her beautiful green eyes even water at the stench. She made a comment to him one day which made him sneer.
"Damn Mike didn't you shower today or does bathing in your disgusting cologne help to mask your dirtiness?" Mike always had women fawning over him, well except for Ruby, the town's very gorgeous werewolf who he has been checking out this entire time, and it was getting on her nerves.
"Granny, can you have one of the other girls do it please? Mike has been checking me all night. If he doesn't knock it off I'll just have to get aggressive, and you know I don't want to do that, you know how my temper can get, and I would have no problem throwing him out on his ass!"
The gray haired woman looked over her glasses and shook her head. "If I wasn't so short on staff love, I would, but Madaline is on maternity leave, Traci went home sick, then Jenny and Dawn are already up to their asses in orders."
Ruby looked behind her to see him smiling away. It wasn't her fault that she was so incredibly good looking, with her tight burgundy leather pants, black boots, with her red and white flannel top with white tank that was a bit low cut in the front to accentuate her perky bosoms, good thing that the curse broke a long time ago or she would be dressing like how she did back then, outfits that would leave little to the imagination, like Granny once told her "You look like a drag queen during fleet week!" Sometimes she thinks to herself that maybe she should just wear a garbage bag, hell she would probably look good in that too, so either way she was fucked.
The wolf continued to glare daggers at the man who was now licking his spoon in a suggestive manner, a soft, low growl escaped her as she kept on. "God help me please? Don't let me lose it or..." Suddenly she was jerked from her thoughts when she saw another customer coming through the door, one of whom she had never seen before. The woman had on a studded black leather jacket, black beanie on top of her long beautiful blue hair that cascaded past her shoulders, blue jeans that had rips across her thighs, white shirt with a saying that said "Beastmode'' on it, and low cut black and white converse shoes. The woman was quite stunning to be frank, electric blue eyes, and a hooped Labret piercing adorning her bottom lip. She was quite...beautiful. "Uhm...Granny?"
The elder shot the wolf a displeased look as to why she was stalling. "What Ruby? Are you going to go and serve that man or what?"
Red groaned dis-pleasingly, as her eyes scanned the lovely lady, she walked towards the tables who was now placing her duffel bags down while taking her seat at the booth in front of Mike who was still giving our wolf the eye. "In a minute, do you...recognize that woman?"
Gran looked over and squinted at the beautiful rocker. "Ruby you know we get all different walks of life coming in and out of this diner these days, she's just another person who is hungry. Now I'm not going to ask you again, can you serve him already?! He looks like he's growing quite impatient.
"Yeah, yeah. Alright Gran, alright."
The blue haired woman took off her jacket and beenie, running her fingers slowly through her silky locks she scanned the menu to see what she would like to order for the evening. Feeling someone staring at her, she raised her head to meet green eyes twinkling at her in curiosity by the bar. She watched Ruby walking towards her, she slowly strode by her table to help the dick in front of her. The stranger gasped as her eyes widened then narrowed, she kept a keen watch on the beautiful wolf, a very close watch on her as she went to help him, she was also keeping an eye on him as well, his look was a hungry one like he just wanted to jump the waitress's bones. "Gees if he could be any more obvious looking at her like that. Probably hasn't got laid in years, for fucks sake someone please get a rag to clean up all that drool from his mouth." She thought about this idiot in front of her.
Mike suddenly sat up straight to acknowledge the svelte brunette. "Heyyyy Ruby it's about time you came with my food, I thought you forgot about me, that would have made me very, very sad, and I'm looking forward to giving you a tip if you know what I mean. A very BIG tip."
The blue haired woman snorted at such a remark as she took a sip of water while looking nonchalantly at her menu. "I doubt if he has a BIG anything, well except his ego, he seems to be more of a pussy if anything, no that's an offense to pussies, he's just a fucking twat." She whispered, thinking that she wouldn't be heard.
The brunette's head snapped her way as a smirk spread across her lips, before going back to the fool who was giving her the business. "Ugh here is your food Mike, eggs over easy, pancakes, bacon, sausage and hash browns. Anything else? No? Good I..."
The suave man shook his head in disappointment. "I didn't order sausage honey, and as far as over easy is concerned, then shouldn't you be on my plate?"
The mysterious woman's eyes rose, she sat back against her seat folding her arms across her chest. "Asshole."
The man scowled at her. "Excuse me?"
The rocker was getting heated, and before she had a chance to answer, her waitress came by to take her order. "Hi there, my name is Jenny. I will be your server for this evening. Have you had a chance to look over the menu?"
"Yes, I have, among other things." The stranger's eyes burned the guy who was now running his fingers through his hair.
"Well what would you like?" The beautiful redheaded waitress asked while licking her lips at the beauty in front of her.
"I actually just lost my appetite, but I would like some hot tea? The hotter the better."
"Sure I'll bring it out with some bags and the kettle so you can make as much as you want. Ok?"
"That would be great..." Her voice trailed off into a whisper "Yes, very great." She went back to the disgusting display in front of her, watching with keen eyes and open ears, seeing the beautiful green eyed woman getting very uncomfortable made her irritated to say the least.
Ruby was trying her very best to keep her cool. "You know what? I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that."
Mike put his hand on his chest. "Oh? Did I say something wrong? All I said was...well, you're talking about easy, I know all about that and your history sooo." He stated, as he took his hand and slid it across Ruby's leg.
The wolf swatted it away, anger was boiling through her veins now. "That was long ago."
"Mhm well we shall see about that sexy. Just give me a chance, I'm sure you won't be disappointed, and I am really interested in seeing your beastly nature come through, I bet you're quite the beast under the sheets as well, hm?"
The blue haired beauty grunted, my God, this guy! she has heard about enough of this dickhead's advances. "You just won't quit will you buddy? As you can see she clearly doesn't want to talk to you, so do her a favor and leave her alone."
"Mind your business freak!" He spat at the mysterious woman who was also boiling with anger.
The stranger pounded her fists into her table with a death glare, one that would make anyone turn pale, it actually made Mike flinch at the sight. "What did you just call me?" She wanted to just kick the shit out of this man and make a bloody mess of him, she almost rose to her feet, until she was stopped, and just in time.
Jenny came by the rockers booth, and she noticed her angered stare. Whoa those eyes.
"Here's your tea sugar...are you...alright?"
The mysterious woman calmed herself before smiling at her waitress and taking the kettle. "I'm fine. Thank you for the tea."
"No problem, can I get you anything else? Like maybe a drink after my shift?"
The woman giggled and blushed at the waitress's remark. "Wow. Uh no I'm ok, but thank you for the offer." I would rather rip out this fucks throat instead.
"Oh well can't blame a girl for trying. Here's your tab." Jenny stroked the blue haired woman's shoulder before giving a wink, and walking back to the bar.
"Thanks." Her eyes slowly shifted back to the conversation at hand. Balling up her fists she felt something wanting to take control of her, and she knew she needed to stop the feeling not to let it get out of hand. Calm down, you need to calm the fuck down, but this guy really has me riled.
"I doubt if you've changed, I see how you look at others, like you just wanna jump their bones, I bet it's been a long time since you have got a good ol' fashioned fuck hmm?"
The wolf wanted to just rip him apart, but she had to keep it together for granny's sake. "And I bet it's been a long time since you had your face bashed in, I can do the honors if you like? No? Well then, now if you'll excuse me!" Ruby huffed and turned to walk off, she suddenly was grabbed by her arm and jerked back.
"Hey where are you going?" Mike stood up to face the brunette who has had enough.
"Away from you, just eat your food and please leave me alone!"
The suave man ran his thumb across Ruby's jaw line while giving a sly smirk. "Well I will eat, but I'd preferably like to eat you baby."
Red gripped his hand and squeezed hard, breaking it in the process. "You bitch! My, my hand! You broke it! You're going to pay for that!" Mike swiftly in one, hard fluid motion backhanded Ruby in the face splitting her lip.
Gran saw the display and was about to rush over. "Ruby?!"
The wolf's voice rang out stopping the elder in her tracks. "Granny don't! Stay there ok?" Ruby tasted blood on her lip, she spit it in the disgusting man's face before wiping it with her hand as she grinned a toothy grin, oh how she wanted to let her fangs grow and tear his throat open, and before he could strike again the blue haired rocker quickly grabbed his arm twisting it behind his back wrenching it hard making him scream in pain.
"I think the lady asked you to leave her alone, if you don't leave then I guess I'll just have to do the honors in making you myself!" Turning him to face her, she grabbed him by the throat to say something else, but he threw a punch which she easily evaded and came back hard with a swift right hook of her own knocking him and a tooth to the ground. The woman quickly in almost lightning speed, pounced on top of him straddling his hips, she grabbed his suit collar bringing his face close to hers, those blue eyes heated with such a hot stare into a trembling chestnut gaze that suddenly shook with fear, it made the man turn pale.
"Get, get away from me, freak!" Mike yelled as he struggled against her trying to get away.
That made her lean back just enough to grab the tea kettle from her table, she quickly poured the scalding hot contents over his head which elicited another shrill scream from his lips. "My face! Arrrrghhh l-leave me alone!"
"Then I suggest you better fucking leave like she asked! Now! Or else your face will turn to hamburger meat and you will be unrecognizable you sick fuck!"
Mike scrambled to his feet making the kettle fly from the woman's hand smashing it on the floor. The arrogant man felt woozy and disoriented, he slowly looked back at the rocker who was standing by her booth still glaring at him. Those crystal blue eyes felt as if her stare was burning the skin off his bones, she took a step forward which made him gasp and run full throttle out of the diner.
"Fucking asshole." The rocker groaned while cracking her knuckles, she turned her head to see the wolf looking at her with wide eyes.
Ruby watched in amazement at what just happened, seeing the man run out of the diner like a bat outta hell made her night. "That was...amazing." She breathed watching the beauty start to kneel down to the floor.
The gray haired woman rushed over to console her granddaughter, who was touching the cut on her lip. "Ruby?! Are you alright?"
The beautiful brunette grabbed the elder's hands nodding while still trying to comprehend what just happened. "Yes granny I'm fine."
"You're hurt Ruby! Let me take a look at your lip."
"Gran, it's ok, really. Besides, I've had worse things happen to me." The wolf looked down for a moment remembering when her village back in the enchanted forest ran her out of town with their torches and pitchforks after getting word about her being the wolf that killed Peter and countless others before she was able to control her powers, then the time when she was caught in a wolf trap by Spencer and the mob who thought she was responsible for Billy's death, the torture she endured while helpless was excruciating . Thank God for David and Granny coming to the rescue to prove that it was Albert all along to frame Ruby to get her killed. "Yes, I'm...fine...ok?"
Granny looked at Ruby and smiled, her smile suddenly turned sour as she saw the mysterious woman picking up the pieces of the porcelain kettle that broke on the floor as well as wiping up the blood from Mike's face with her napkin and glass of water. "You!"
The rocker slowly stood up as the elder came over in a huff. "Me? Me...what?"
"Look at the mess you made of my diner!"
"Granny?! It's just a broken kettle, and she's cleaning it up so what's the problem?" The wolf asked as she watched the woman's face scrunch up, clearly annoyed at this point."
"Wow, so this is the thanks I get hm? I just helped your granddaughter not get the shit beat out of her by that guy, and all you can think about is this smashed kettle?"
Ruby got in the middle of granny and the blue eyed woman who were clearly not amused by each other. "Gran please, she did help me out, so can you not scold her, it's just a tea kettle, it's not like we don't have more. Right?"
Granny's temper slowly settled as she saw the pleading look in the wolf's eyes. "Ugh, you're right, I'm...sorry it's just, you know what tonight is and I get a tad grumpy you know that."
"It's fine. Forget it. " The rocker answered flatly, turning her back to the two while placing the pieces of kettle on the table.
The widow Lucas sighed as she looked over at the couple waiting to pay by the front. "I uh, have to go and charge these people out Ruby, you sure you're alright?"
"Yes granny, stop worrying."
"Well after all that has happened in the past do you blame me?"
The wolf bit the inside of her cheek wishing this night would just end. She looked up at the clock which read 6:45 which means the sun was going to be setting soon and the full moon was going to rise in another hour or so. Thank goodness it was almost closing time, this night needs to be over already she thought. "No I don't blame you granny, I'm sorry."
"Like I said you know what tonight is so I suggest you finish up here and go home you hear?" Granny grimaced as she began to rub her scar on her forearm.
The beautiful blue haired woman noticed the scar and cocked her head to the side observing such a mark. Hmm Interesting. She also was trying not to listen, but the stranger couldn't help but wonder what tonight even was. "Yes, better go home, the street lights are about to come on."
Ruby was hardly amused by that remark as if she was getting told to go home by her mother.
"Excuse me?"
"Nothing."
Granny got a Kleenex from her pocket and dabbed the blood away from the wolf's lip. "Ok well, this has been a night, and it's far from over soooo."
Red pushed the elder's hand down off her face; she shook her head clearly, getting a tad angry. "Ok! I will go home in a bit, you're embarrassing me, I'm not a child anymore Gran!" She snapped
"No, no you're not, I'm sorry it's just..."
"I know granny, now go help those people and I'll be off shortly." The wolf's eyes veered over at her rescuer who was putting her jacket back on at her booth, she patted granny's shoulder before turning back around to give her thanks, but before she could her head whipped around as the front door suddenly threw open.
"There you are! I have been calling your cell phone, why the hell didn't you answer?!"
Ruby rolled her eyes at the very irritated dark haired woman who looked as if she was going to blow a gasket. This night just keeps getting better and better. "Ugh Dorothy now is not the time, as you can see I'm working, I don't have my phone on me, if you needed to get a hold of me so badly, why didn't you call the diner's number?"
"I for one thought you would, you know I told you to keep it on you." Dorothy snapped at the also annoyed wolf.
The blue haired woman giggled to herself that this woman just can't get a break from jerks this evening. "My God, if it's not one thing it's another, what is this national asshole night at the diner?" She said under her breath while looking at the two arguing with each other.
Ruby heard her and narrowed her eyes. "Look I have had quite a bad night, and I don't need you to add to it. Ok?!" She saw the rocker watching them and pulled Dorothy to the side away from her peering eyes and ears.
I would love to hear what this is about, but I've had quite enough of this place for tonight. The stranger grabbed her duffle bags, and beanie putting it back on her head before pulling money out of her pocket to pay the bill, she quickly placed it on the table wanting to just forget everything that happened altogether. Looking over at at the two women still going at it, the blue haired beauty smiled while shaking her head, she strode slowly towards the door pushing it open to walk outside, just moving a few paces down the street she suddenly felt someone grab her arm which made her turn around quickly to regard them, crystal blue eyes saw a pair of emerald ones looking at her, she doesn't know why, but it kind of made her heart speed up. Ok now, this woman is quite beautiful, well I guess I can agree with that dickhead on that account.
"Yeeeessss?"
Ruby was nervously picking at her nails trying to get the words out. "I, uhm, well I..."
The rocker smirked watching the wolf getting all nervous. "What is wrong with you? Cat got your tongue or something?" She teased, the woman saw the wolf drop her hands placing them on her hips giving quite the irritated look.
Ruby grumbled as she chewed at her bottom lip and just went for it. "I just wanted to say...thank you." Looking into a blue gaze that was almost hypnotizing her, the wolf's heartbeat was beginning to skip. "Look, I'm so sorry about all of that back there."
"Well maybe your granny shouldn't have had you wait on that dick for one, I mean that guy was a complete ass, and she still had you wait on him? What the hell was that all about?"
"You heard that?"
"Yeah I did among other things, you were in front of my booth, remember?"
Red sighed not really knowing what to say. "Well for one I would have knocked the shit out of him myself but, I...couldn't, I mean, I could have, but I can get a bit out of control."
The stranger took off her beanie and placed it in her pocket, flipping her hair back, she then sat her bags down and folding her arms in front of her, arching an eyebrow, she was curious as to what she meant. "Care to elaborate?"
Cripes, seductive much? Ruby could not get over the beauty of this woman before her, she was trying not to think of...things, wolfstime brings out the beast, and in more ways than one. Her eyes rose up at the now grayish black sky, she knew the moon was going to be rising, and soon. "I just mean I sometimes don't know my own strength, as you clearly saw."
"Oh yes I saw alright, you crushed his hand, and good." The blue haired woman got closer to the wolf, which made Ruby's breathing hitch, she chewed at her piercing as she smiled at the blushing wolf. "Well maybe you need to learn how to control it." She whispered, letting her breath hit Ruby's lips.
The brunette shivered at the feel before being taken back by the comment. "Oook well I can."
"Oh? Well you just said that you couldn't beat the shit out of that guy without losing control, so then what do you mean?"
The wolf sighed as she shifted her stance a bit while now folding her arms across her chest. "Look. I don't have to explain myself to you, a common stranger of all things."
"Is that so now? You mean a stranger that saved you. Remember that. Most strangers wouldn't have done that ya know. By the way, your granny should be a bit more appreciative of that fact and not worry about some damn tea kettle."
Red pursed her lips together knowing she was right. "Touche'" Watching her for some time, she was quite curious as to where this pretty blue haired mistress was from. "Well I for one am appreciative, and speaking of that, can I know my hero's name? So I can properly thank you? She saw the woman a bit apprehensive of giving her such information with everything that just happened, the trust levels were not good at the moment. Gees alright guess i'll start then "Ok. Well, my name is..."
"Ruby." Yes I gathered that much when I heard that guy trying to get into your tight pants and your Grandmother worrying over you." The beautiful rocker smirked to herself as she looked at the taller woman taking in her shimmering green eyes, long brown hair that went past her shoulders to the middle of her back, her body, yes that...body, perky breasts, and those tight pants that hugged her perfect ass. The blue haired woman snapped out of her thoughts to speak her name finally to the wolf. She's gonna find out your name eventually stupid, stop being so stubborn. "It's...Alissa."
Was that sooo hard? "Alissa? Hmm. That's a beautiful name." Ruby extended her hand to her mysterious rescuer, also taking in her beauty. Smiling sweetly, the wolf was hoping to find out more about the town's mysterious traveler one day. "Well...thank you. Alissa. So, will you be staying here in our quaint little town of Storybrooke for a while?"
Slowly taking her hand in her own she smiled back at the brunette, when their hands connected it made both of their heartbeats speed up, she began to give a firm handshake to the town's werewolf who gave one right back, Alissa was hoping her's wasn't clammy. Mhm, she does have one hell of a grip. "You're quite welcome, and I don't know. Maybe. I'm looking for a new place to settle and I think I just may have found a reason that this town may be the place to do just that." Placing her hands in her jacket pockets, she threw a sly smile to the taller woman making her blush even more. "Oh, and by the way you need to stay away from certain people."
Ruby raised a brow at that comment, she was beginning to get under her skin, and in a good way. "Certain people? Like?"
The rocker chuckled as she continued her smirk at the beautiful green eyed lady wolf. "You know, assholes, jerks, arrogant twats, I may not be there next time to help you out."
Red giggled at the comment. "Oh really?"
"Really."
The two kept smiling and staring at each other, not knowing what was even going on with this chemistry they were feeling, or why they even were, but they knew something was there, they also knew that they just met tonight, lest they still couldn't help it. Ruby cleared her throat to speak, but before she could the wolf heard footsteps behind her and smelled a certain scent that was recognizable, one of which made her grumble and the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.
"Dammit Ruby! I was looking for you in the diner, what are you doing out here?" Dorothy stopped short and narrowed her eyes at Alissa who was having a conversation with the wolf.
"Oh...and who is this?" The dark haired woman was scowling while looking at the traveler up and down, sizing her up.
Alissa rolled her eyes as she saw the other woman glaring at her. "Speaking of those certain people..." She mumbled to herself.
"What was that?" Dorothy shot a hateful look to the woman who was now picking up her bags.
The rocker cleared her throat to break the tension. What a fucking cunt. "Nothing, look I was just leaving, have a good rest of your evening Ruby, and remember what I said, try and stay away from those people." Throwing a wink she headed out and away from the two women who started to argue yet again. Alissa turned her head back to look at them momentarily before walking off further. "For fucks sake, that Ruby sure is a jerk magnet, a cute, little jerk magnet though." She whispered to herself, "What a night." The rocker gave a husky laugh while finally strolling forward in the distance and out of sight.
The brunette growled as she watched Kansas angrily stomp off as well and away from her, she looked down for a moment before her head shot back up. "Shit! Dammit where did she go?" The wolf's eyes glowed yellow for a brief second as she frantically looked around to see if she could get a glimpse or scent of the one who helped her earlier, but with no avail, she was gone. Ruby sighed heavily, her mind still swirling with the events of this evening and how she wanted to just forget all about it, glancing up at the sky again, she looked off to the woods, and saw the full moon slowly rising in the distance. "Well I better get to the inn before granny blows a gasket." Ruby quickly made her way towards home, but why does she have a feeling that this night was far from over.

So You Want To Build A Sex Room - Chapter 2, David and Snow, Pt 2
It was severely tempting to leave David out in the pre-dawn light, but that was the old Rumplestiltskin, the man who fought against darkness every day. The new Rumple, the man who was a loving husband and father… the Savior… Well, that wasn't his style. He entered the shop and went directly to the side door, swiftly flicking the lock and raising the shade just enough to signal his waiting friend that the deed was done.
He didn't wait around for the man to appear, however. Anyone who was that nervous about being seen was going to take their time. Sneaking around a small town like Storybrooke wasn't easy, after all, especially when everyone knew your name.
"All right, Gold. I need your help." David's voice entered the shop before he did, bursting in through the opening in a rush. The man slipped in through an impossibly narrow crack, then silently shut himself inside, breathing a sigh of relief once it was done.
"And as I said, I'm intrigued, but I don't dabble in darkness or deals any more. I have my son back and Belle has agreed to stay. They've made me a new man." He felt his hand drift to his chest and settle over his heart, then breathed in the relief of knowing all of those words were the truest they had ever been.
