THANK YOU FOR READING MY RAMBLE ABOUT THIS SLUTTY MAN, I have love-hate relationship with Ratio :3 (YOUR WRITING IS AMAZING AS ALWAYS)
BUT ALSO, ANOTHER RAMBLE HERE CAUSE YOU'RE MY FAVORITE WRITER!!
I don't know if you feel uncomfortable/weirded out with this, but if you do! Please do delete this if you want, it's your choice!!
Imagine a child, it can be one of those children in Penacony or other planets. But I pick the child from the Penacony! Walking up to Ratio and S/O, who is probably bickering as per usual or just enjoying one of another times (Secretly, since Ratio wants to be a secretive or this is same past-rebelious but now Professor S/O!)
As the child tugs on S/O, calling them pretty and hugs them. THEN PROCEEDED TO BE LIKE "kay now, you're my parent/mother/father"
LIKE:
"Hey miss/mister/mx! You look very pretty/handsome/unique! Will you be my parent?"
IMAGINE RATIO REACTION, *IF* THE KID IS GONNA BE LIKE
"oh, you're going to be my dad as well/other father/other parent!
OR THE OTHER WAY, HOGGING S/O ATTENTION. Clinging On S/O, regardless how many times S/O tries to get the kid back at their actual and real parents here, and would sometimes spend time hanging out with the kid while also trying to search for the kid parent
(AND ALSO I'M GOING TO SEND SOME RAMBLE ABOUT ROBIN (if you Dont mind!) MY BABY DESERVES THE BEST)
Hello anon! Always happy to answer brain rots and imagines and rambles hehe. Glad to see you back in my inbox!
Also, so cute hehe.
I imagine Dr. Ratio is actually pretty good with kids. The thing with kids is most of them love asking a shit ton of questions, the most ridiculous kinds at that. And you know those people who are so damn smart and knowledgeable in their field they start thinking about possibilities of ridiculous ideas as actually plausible? Veritas would kind of teeter on that when it comes to kids and their imagination. I just can't help but imagine kids crawling all over him while he has a rubber duck in his hand and explains like.. hawking radiation to a kid who's just staring blankly at him.
Honestly, kids would love him. Hes the strange, serious man who always bends down and tells you really confusing but fun stuff about things and seems to know everything. To them, hes the "actual adult".
I imagine, in the case a lost child approaches him or him with his s/o, his first instinct would be just to gauge the general state. He'll simply watch as you pick up the kid and coo at him and all the willy nilly stuff, just glancing over and checking for injuries, signs of anxiety or confusion, frustration, or fear. After he's done looking over, he'd try to ask the child about where their parents are when they perk up about how both of you are their parents now.
Well.. he doesn't know how to respond. You see his eyebrows raise slightly at the kid's remark, but he brushes it off, and starts telling the child all about your embarassing history if you were the rebellious professor!s/o. If you aren't, just about any silly memories he has of you are at the tip of his tongue, and that you really aren't suited for a parental figure. Even if you try and shut him up, he'll simply turn to the kid like, "do not let those who oppress you, silence you." Or something lol.
He doesn't mind the child being all over his s/o, telling them how pretty they are, asking them if they want to be their parent, and so on. Kids are silly, and illogical. It's in their nature to say anything that comes to mind. Of course.. he's slightly sour inside that your conversation was cut short, and now the child's hogging all your attention, but he vehemently pushes it down, simply resolving to search for their parents with you.
It's not soon before the both of you finally find them. Veritas gives them a stern, subtle warning about losing their child while you comfort them, bidding your farewell. It slightly annoys Veritas when the child clings to you, refusing to let go, and all his parents do is laugh it off, saying "they're just very social!" Or something. He has better things to be doing, really. He just walks off and lets you take care of things from there.
If you ask him if he's jealous, he won't say anything, and stare deadpan into your eyes before shrugging it off and changing the topic back to what you both were discussing before. Both of you can have more productive conversations, really.
Although.. his thoughts teeter a bit, and he shortly ponders over what kids with you would be like.. would he want children? Maybe one.. or two.. or even three..
Ugh, he's thinking too far ahead. He resigns to simply paying attention in the present, and listening to you ramble instead.

I want to write a meta on Stede Bonnet of Our Flag Means Death and internalized homophobia. A lot of this is going to be a rehash of something I said to an anon back in october of 2022 but I feel like it deserves to be put out without rancid anon takes attached.
Our Flag Means Death as a show is trying to do a deconstruction of toxic masculinity. I feel very comfortable in saying that seeing as David Jenkins had "A lot of what we're taught about what it means to be a man is wrong" and a show about gay men with a thesis like that is necessarily also deconstructing homophobia, even if it doesn't center homophobia, which ofmd does not, it keeps it in just out of frame at all times, because it prefers to center queer joy. However that doesn't mean it's not there and I want to talk about the one place where it exists that I feel like people don't really touch on.
Stede is a character that comes from a background of wealth, of rigid adherence to social norms that he was never able to fully fit into. There are rules for what men do and what women do and those rules must be obeyed and Stede learns this the hard way, by getting tied in a boat and having things thrown at him for picking flowers. By being bullied relentlessly for being soft and weak. Under such conditions you can’t not internalize those rules.
Stede also is very insecure, in episode 2 it's established that he struggles with feelings of inadequacy. A lot of Stede’s guilt comes from his inability to preform the roles of husband and father, roles which were thrust upon him without his consent and stand in opposition to his identity as a gay man, at least in the 1700s. Stede considers himself a coward for his inability to preform these rolls. Stede is unable to forgive himself for being unable to fit into the heterosexual expectations that society as placed on him.
Blackbeard is also a hypermasculine figure. A role that Ed finds himself unable to fit into. That’s why Ed and Stede seem to be in the same place when they first meet. They’re both trying to break out of these rigid boxes that have been forced upon them. Blackbeard is less heterosexual, more specific, but it’s still a distinctly male expectation which is tied up in cultural ideals about masculinity, especially non-white masculinity. And the whole show Izzy, a gender conforming character who seems to go out of his way to talk down to any man he perceives as even a little bit soft, is trying to force Ed into it, and when he tries to imply that Ed isn’t Blackbeard enough he does it by emasculating him
Ed is open, at least when he's made to feel like he's in a safe environment, about not wanting to be blackbeard anymore. Stede suggests retirement and provides him space to experiment with reinventing himself, but at the end of the day Stede doesn't believe him because Stede venerates Blackbeard as one of the most fearsome pirates of all time (something I expect to be a large point of contention between them in the next season). When Ed finally shakes off his captaincy and tries to leave Blackbeard behind for good Stede ends up blaming himself for it, because he perceives Ed's desire to leave a role that is hurting him behind as him being ruined, the same way Stede perceives his own failure as a husband and father as an inherently corrosive thing.
Unpacking Chauncey's speech in season 1 episode 10 and why Stede agrees with it is fundamental here. Gay people have been for centuries been portrayed as corrupting influences trying to convert people to our lifestyle. We've been portrayed as horror villains. Our sex is portrayed as defilement. We're accused of being groomers who want to corrupt others to our way of life, we're accused of recruiting. This is one of the more classic homophobic tropes. So when Chauncy says you're a monster who defiles beautiful things there is venom and oppression behind it. And Stede agrees to it because he does believe himself to have corrupted Ed away from being Blackbeard into being kind of a pansy like Stede. And that he defiled his family by leaving despite it being what he needed to do.
And so his reaction to this is to shove himself back into the closet and try to be Mary's husband again.
I'm not passing moral judgement on Stede, it's just difficult to interpret the show without seeing the subtextual journey of overcoming internalized homophobia that Stede goes on.

okay i think i understand the assignment this time.
So due to humans being way more common the Origin society is very insular to protect themselves since they're usually seen as threats and oppressed. It takes a long time for the osmp to warm up to Techno. But eventually they do, basically seeing him as one of their own.
Small problem...they don't filter like they normally would when forced to interact with humans. Because one small mutter about mistreatment from humans can be really really dangerous when outside the hybrid community. The hybrids take a lot of comfort in being able to actually freely speak their minds in the safety of their community. And since they register Techno as 'one of them' he overhears a lot of nasty, frustrated comments about humans, like how they're all prejudiced garbage, or greedy expansionists encroaching on shrinking hybrid territory that despise nature, or whatever. Occasionally he might get a 'ah mate, don't worry you're not like them' from Philza or 'sorry I didn't mean it like that' from Niki or a 'you're basically a hybrid, not one of those [severely redacted]' from Tommy. Probably not from Ranboo I think she's prissy in origins I don't know. And Techno tries to not take it personally but he's highly aware of how human he is every time a comment like that is said.
And Techno obviously has some sort of problem with human society, since he's outcast enough to decide he's best off with hybrids. And hybrids are mistreated, so he gets it. So after a long time of offhand comments and occasional rants, he feels alienated but grins and bears it since he doesn't have anywhere else to go, and knows the hybrids also don't.
At the same time, he's keenly aware his friends would hate and fear him on sight if they didn't know him, and that he fits in, but he doesn't, and never will, belong.
UGH, ye, that's good.
And it's like, they're not doing it on purpose. Techno doesn't have the right to be upset because they're the ones who have been dealing with the terrible things humans have done to them and made the commune to escape that, they deserve to feel safe there. They're not even entirely wrong. Techno can (partly) attest to that with his own past.
But sometimes, the jokes sting. If nothing else, it pronounces that sense of 'not belonging' he struggles with.
Maybe he starts to think it would be better for all of them if he left.

Hii, if ya feel up to it could you write some comforting headcanons for Yasuo and Talon? They need some good hugs but honestly what league champion doesn't
(if you feel like writing for others too go for it, I like to read anything you make)
✦–Comforting them headcanons.✦ (SFW)
Tumblr media
✦Hurt/comfort, because they also deserve a hug. A lot of hugs. Every single one of them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✧ prompt: ✧ hurt/comfort.
✧ champions: ✧ Talon, the Blade’s Shadow; Yasuo, the Unforgiven; Cassiopeia, the Serpent’s Embrace.
✧ reader: ✧ gender neutral.
✧ author’s note: ✧ oh, dear readers and anons, you don’t even know how appreciated I feel whenever you send me some positive energy or compliments, haha! Every time it’s so adorable, I couldn’t feel any better. Thank you for everythig, especially since english is not my first language, so. I basically have no idea what I am doing. Ah, but apart of this anecdote, the reader is really into self care, but I think it shouldn’t be a problem since we are doing a comforting post.
masterlist
Tumblr media
✦Talon, the Blade’s Shadow.
He left his blade by the door, because he would never want you to see it in the comforting space of your home, begrimed with blood and disgustingly obscure.
He has lost his prey. His target fleed - he failed; he didn’t manage to complete the only merit of his life that he truly named his own, his passion and devotion, the thing he has been created to do.
If he fails in something so elementary, a thing fankled into his soul and his whole being, an aspect pierced into his heart, then what is his worth?
You spotted his inconvenient posture imidiately, sensing an unnatural twist in his mood, so used to his everyday harshness, enriched by a little bit of sweetness towards only your person. But this time he was different - apathetic with stilted aura of dullness around. Talon let himself tiredly slide on your shared bed, ignoring you just because of the guilt that has been oppressing his heart.
And you, instead of letting him perish alone, you offered him your silent comfort - just yourself by his side. You sat there, your head on his shoulder, gentle touch of your hand on his back, maybe even the tip of your fingers making little circles, massaging.
You asked him what happened, though for the most of the following time you remain quiet, relishing the moment, only you two as the centre of the universe.
But he still felt the enveloping sensation of the failed mission, a feeling he had never experienced before; he has dishonoured his sacred mission. Should he be allowed to feel comforted after a mistake so unforgivable? If he could, he would wear the disgrace as a punishment, visible and vociferous, so everyone would see his shamefull attempts to find comfort in someone else, unworthy of it and pathetic.
Talon was always a mysterious person, but you were like a stronghold for him - it wasn’t a long time until you heard these thoughts of his vocalized out loud, honest and brutal. He murmured them into your ear, while you listened silently, cherishing this sacred moment of his true, intimate self, the person behind the blade.
His thoughts seemed like a form of self-flagellation, noxious and malign. Something pitiful that made your eyes wet, little droplets settling on your eyelashes.
You couldn’t listen to him anymore, saying those denigrating and disgusting statements about himself. All it was untrue, made from the years of abandonment and loneliness, and you were positive to cure it.
But how many times more will you hear him saying that his name doesn’t matter? That as an assasin he is not a human being - he is just a blade that cuts efficiently, deeply and terminally.
“I couldn’t wish for a better person in my life than you, love.” You beggined with you voice brittle, like you were telling him a unconfronted secret. “There is nothing that could make me feel even slightly different. I love you the same amount, as you should love yourself.”
Your words were prosaic, menial. But these were honest promises of adoring him countlessly times, endlessly and for eons, until he comprehends the feelings you wanted him to nurse not only for you, but also himself.
And at some point Talon chuckled, though it wasn’t a sign of joy - it was depressing, unnatural. He tried assuring you that it wasn’t a problem big enough to enwrap you, his beloved one, in - but you could sense his poignant sadness running through his body, just like you could feel his pulsing heart or heavy breath.
You promised him to dedicate to him all of your time, just to assure Talon in his human ability to make mistakes, even so meaningful; to help with his low esteem, even if he firmly disagreed to have anything to do with the mythical term of the mentioned ’low esteem’.
You wrapped your hands around him, tigh and lovely, planning on imprisoning him in a cage made of adoration from someone, who could gave him the comfort he deserved.
Talon left his blade by the door as a symbol of rejection - he rejected the person beyond this place, the one who covered his face with a hood, exchanging him for a more relaxed one, the one made from flesh and honest feelings, the real ones, the right ones, and the absolutely normal ones.
✦Yasuo, the Unforgiven.
As we know, Yasuo escaped Ionia after the unfortunate tragedy that led him despair.
He was lost and longing for a company, though he stated out loud that he didn’t want anyone nerby - he was still too fragile, still in shock of the brutal act he allowed himself to do, bewildered, horrified by himself.
He didn’t want to hurt another human being again. He didn’t want to accompany yet another person, only to betray them nor to give up on them. Another loose would be too painful, too demolishing.
For them, of course. He thought he could handle all of this crushing on his mind.
But Yasuo wouldn’t survive seeing his acquaintance being betrayed by him, once again.
He wasn’t eager to befriend new people here, in Bilgewater; he didn’t seek anyone particular. You found him by yourself, and soon became his only comfort in those times, only way to drift his depressing thoughts away.
And even though it was admirable, your acts of desperate tries, as he considered you as the most valued person in his life, you knew he shouldn’t be feeling so much pain. It could broke even the toughest weilder. His nailed heart pulsing right in his chest was aching and trying to free itself every time Yasuo bestowed you with his deep, sad eyes.
He suffered in silence, though he claimed that you were the only cure for this desease that was gutting his body.
You could name this curse - it was guilt in its purest form. And you were determined to free Yasuo from it.
At some point, he must have opened himself before you, render a vivisection of himself, show you his insides and the putridity that has enveloped his heart and soul. Something you should despise, scream and shout at the sight of, bewildered and cheesed.
But instead of pushing him away as he expected, almost desired, instead of feeling overwhelmed by the emotions he had dropped on your shoulders, you hugged him tightly, the words of comfort pouring from your mouth.
”That wasn’t your fault.” ”You regret this, and you are not the same person you were back then.” ”That was an accident.” ”You are always there for me - let me be here for you now.”
So he declaimed the weight of the world like a poem. About his past and his brother, who has lose to his blade in the accident. You cried with him, mixing your own tears with his own, brushing his problems and concerns off.
You couldn’t even imagine how deeply was he hurt. But humans tend to crawl for the concept of empathetic co-suffering; it makes them feel understood and is crutial when it comes to comforting, therefore it was enough for him: getting the heavy burden off his own mind, sharing it to the world, admitting that he had commited something unforgivable.
You forgave him, though he has never hurted you. But any mercy given from a human being was a relief for Yasuo.
✦Cassiopeia, the Serpent’s Embrace.
Cassiopeia didn’t need your comfort. She despised it. It made her look pathetic and weak, even if she already looked miserable as half a serpent.
But she was a proud woman, a lover of many in her halcyon days of glory. Everyone longed for her and everyone needed her like an antidote for a deadly poison. It was a desire not in a lovely, romantic way, but in a frantic, melodramatic and amusing form of begging for sparing a life.
She manipulated the whole nation of pathetic Noxians into her hands, toyed with them on one of her palms, treating those little figures like ants, just simple pawns on the board that she created from her life. She would be considered infantile if anyone knew what a little mouse wanted to adhere to her, hug her scaled waist and tell her that… she deserved love.
Of course she did! You should have seen her when she was still human, not an abomination, just a twisted figure of her past self.
”No, I am not thinking like this of myself, little mouse. Do not approach me, we can bargain from a distance-”
She would admire your confidency with honesty, if only you weren’t so… clingy. Your hugged her in a devoted way that spoke without words - that you will always follow her as her dearest worshipper, even if she turned into something more fearsome than a half-snake. Even if she turned into a sculpture, you would attend her every day.
Cassiopeia indeed had to admit to herself, in her own convoluted way of a serpent, that your confession made her feel better. Like she had one person that was truly her admirer, not just another human she led on and wrapped around her claw, ready to allure and use. And that her little mouse was kind of adorable; more like a pet, but at least a faithful one.
It was a change of perspectives for her, a phenomenon that made her smile softly, her hand slidding from the top of your head to your back, where she pushed you closer, admiring and loving.

My quick personal thought on Noe in VNC manga latest chapter 61.5
(more under the cut)
.
I do NOT think Noe "pretended" to not notice the racism towards Dham in the office because he didn't "want" to accept the harsh reality that his "good" fellows are being bad / racists. It didn't happen...yet, at least.
I'm rather sure Noe simply, sincerely had NO "concept" of the racism ITSELF towards Dham AT ALL. "They probably still don't know their individual name each" was the ONLY and "best" guess Noe could ever make ON HIS OWN, within HIS (extremely limited) "common sense".
Noe does NOT realize the word Dham was being used like a slur purposefully in THEIR context, because Noe believes it's "by definition" not inherently an offensive term. They're Dhams, it's who they are, what's the problem? Vani is a human, so there's nothing wrong to call him human, cuz it's what he is, isn't it? But yeah, it's weird to keep calling all of them as just Dham when they all have their own name, let's fix it now!
Well, Noe does not have the same view / experience as other characters, much less we audience. He tends to listen well, but he's not always good at catching the hints / full context quickly. Of course, Noe hated to be called only "vampire" on and on by Vani in the previous arc, but Vani was clearly super hostile and seriously fighting Noe to death at that time, while this is happening "in peace", so Noe couldn't possibly imagine the people were hostile, "too", just in a different or "softer" form, perhaps? Or Noe failed to notice it because it's not directly about Vani lol
I get that it's very tempting to call Noe "stupid / annoying" etc for not noticing the "obvious" malice. But it's NOT obvious to him, unfortunately; he's plain ignorant and oblivious for real, because he literally has had NO chance to learn until now. He can't magically know what he doesn't know. He isn't even a genius character. This is the first time Noe witnessed the subtle and explicit racism, and honestly...I highly doubt if even now he truly understands that he watched people being openly bigoted and that it's never from their "innocent ignorance" as he first believed. Sadly, it indeed doesn't help that those people are the ones who Noe does NOT see as an enemy.
Noe never heard of Ruthven, who "can't" be unknown to anyone. Noe genuinely believed everyone else (Vani & Domi) was lost, when it's actually him alone who was lost. This is the Noe we're talking about!
Shapeless One didn't teach Noe anything about Dham and the prevailing racism (which is surely suspicious and irresponsible). It seems he at least didn't tell Noe that Dham should be oppressed / hated, and thankfully Noe has grown up not to discriminate people merely for race. Since he arrived in Paris, Vani has never bothered Dante and others for being Dham in front of Noe, either. But yeah, now Noe should get to know more and face the unjust reality that the Dham has to deal with.
"Noe should've known better because, Archiviste!!" I feel he believes that it's NOT the same and mostly the matter of the "rightfully creepy" (he thinks) "ability" of the memory-reading (for now, at least). When you think about it...no VNC character has negatively reacted to Noe for being Archiviste so far (and like, most of them barely know in detail or get interested a little) - except Vani XD and we all know Vani currently doesn't care, as long as Noe doesn't try to drink his blood. Astolfo hated Noe, but it's because he equally hates any "vampire".
However, in regards to Dham, people are loudly making "the existence ITSELF" a huge problem, including their mere "appearance" difference. People "discuss" their "right to exist", which is similar to Jeanne, Bourreau, the slaves. Yeah, I suppose Noe has been kinda "lucky" not to be the target of discrimination...until now. I won't be surprised if Noe still doesn't understand what makes Dham "deserve" all the disgust when they don't even have any "disgusting" ability "like his". I'd like to also add that...Noe might've been safe solely thanks to his (problematic) "guardian" Shapeless One, the (in)famous & powerful vampire that no one can casually ignore, similar to Ruthven ^^;;
In short, I think Noe did NOT "forcedly" "choose" to "ignore" the racism and try to make an "excuse" for his "cannot-be-racist" fellows "instead"; how can he "choose" to believe "otherwise", when he doesn't even notice the deep racism "specifically" towards Dham in the first place? Though I can agree that it'd be hard for Noe to properly process what's going on in the office because he unconsciously believes the fellows he trusts wouldn't be "weird" or "malicious" to other fellows "for an unreasonable reason".
.
This was written quite quickly, and I might regret it and remake a similar post later...or not XD
Thank for you reading my current personal opinion!!

I spent some time with a friend yesterday. We briefly came on the topic of Palestine. Briefly because I knew we would have opposing views as she's Muslim. I have sympathy for Israeli and Palestinian civilians. She only has sympathy for Palestinian civilians. She wouldn't even refer to Hamas as a terrorist organisation. And it made me wonder how many Muslims have been told that Hamas is not evil? How many are taught that Israel is getting what it deserves? It makes me wonder why there are many many pro Palestine protests calling for a ceasefire but Jewish communities are getting no support whatsoever. Saying the word Israel feels like it is something dirty. And I am scared. I know Israel and Palestine have been in conflict for years and Israel has oppressed Palestine for a very long time. But how can people think that a terrorist organisation will bring them liberation?
Hi Nonnie, I'm sorry you had this experience. I'm sending you hugs!
I wanna introduce you to Mansour Abbas:
Tumblr media
He's a devout Muslim Israeli Arab, and the chairman of an Arab Islamic party in Israel. He's not a part of the current governing coalition in Israel, but he was a part of the last one. He is still a member of the Knesset (MK, member of the Israeli parliament).
A few days ago, MKs were invited to see a 40+ minutes long film composed of footage from the Hamas terrorists, CCTV, victims cellphone recordings, etc. It's some of the horrors that most people haven't seen. No MK had to attend, and quite a few chose not to. I can understand, many of those who watched the footage fell apart, some couldn't stay to the end.
Mansour Abbas chose to come, and he brought with him two MKs from his party. One of the Jewish MKs said Abbas was crying during the screening. Abbas himself made it clear that what the Hamas terrorists did was sacrilege and goes against everything that Islam stands for. When one of the members of his party, an MK who didn't attend the screening, denied the horrors of the massacre, he demanded that she resign from the Knesset (heads of parties can't fire MKs, the latter have to resign). She's refusing to, and according to journalists, Abbas is looking for other ways in order to sanction her.
I'm saying all of this, because I want it to be clear that, much like every other human group, Muslims are not a monolith. Yes, there is a history of antisemitism in Muslim majority countries, that tends to be ignored (something that we have to address, if we want any hope of eradicating that antisemitism and make relations between Jews and Muslims better). Yes, there is a tendency to present the Palestinian issue to Muslims as if it's an Islamic issue, so they're all meant to take the same stand on it (and of course that can go hand in hand with a lot of misinformation. I have an online friend, who lives in a country, where I expect none of what she hears about Israel and Hamas is true). But Muslims are not a monolith, especially ones who live in the west, and have free and full access to information, to the real historical records, and not just to anti-Israeli propaganda.
So that brings me to two points that can and do coexist:
I do NOT want to treat all Muslims automatically as if they will for sure be against Israel to the point of having no empathy for Israelis and/or Jews...
If they are against Israel to that extreme degree, and if they are living in a western country, then it is, at least partly, on them.
And in this context, I'd like to share this vid that was sent to me.
youtube
So regarding this friend, I guess it's a question of how you feel about it. Do you think she has the conditions to look beyond this narrative, and see Israelis as people, who deserve empathy just like everyone else, and yet she doesn't?
(as a very small footnote, I wouldn't say that Israel oppresses Palestine, 'coz that makes this conflict far more one-sided than it actually has been...)
I'll say that for myself, that friend who lives in a country that is defined as an enemy of Israel? Where she will never get the truth (and that country doesn't exactly have free press in general)? I don't hold it against her. In her context, it's pretty amazing she's even talking to me when she knows I'm an Israeli. But other Muslim friends I have? Or even other non-Muslim friends from the west, who know Jews, who should know better than to uncritically accept a de-humanizing narrative? Yeah, I feel differently about them. IDK if this helps you in figuring out how you feel about this girl. I hope it does.

Polyamory Is Queer
Tumblr media
So a post on twitter happened where a pansexual person was saying Polyamory was queer and that he wanted people to include Polyamory in their pride merch was getting massively dunked on on twitter. nearly 1000 people at the time of me starting to write this had decided they should tell this person to die, to say he was a fed, that polyamarous people weren't oppressed in any way, that the oppression they have is deserved, etc. That alone to me would speak to the queerness here of polyamory, getting mass harassment for dating to suggest that even against our own, a pansexual guy.
Like the post is cringe in that asking for merch is cringe, like who cares, it's capitalism, I don't care about polyam flag merch, in fact, I probably wouldn't buy it if it existed in general. I would rather get merch of three girls holding hands being polyamarous and really that mostly doesn't exist and, a little sad sure, but it doesn't matter. It's not really an access of oppression.
However, I want to talk about why polyamory is queer and to knock down all the common talking points that are levied against queer people. I am not using any strawmen here I promise you I only need to look at these quote retweets to see SOOO MANY people saying the same shit I see right here.
Polyamarous People Are Not Oppressed
Polyamorous people face many different forms of oppression. There is the obviously and previously stated mass dunking on a person for daring to say they want more polyam merch and that polyam people are part of the wider queer community. This isn't a lone incident but instead I see all the time monogamous people feeling it is totally fine to dunk on polyamarous people because they met one that annoyed them or because it makes them uncomfortable or we are sluts or something. The mass harassment and open hatred are in fact a form of oppression.
However, it doesn't just result in the public opinion but the legal reality. You can be legally fired for being polyamarous basically everywhere. If you have a divorce and you are polyamarous your child will be taken away, it doesn't matter if you have proof if it being consensual it is a mark against you. If someone is sick in the polycule only one person can claim themselves as a partner to go to a hospital and see them. Polyamarous people do not have a right to be married. Polyamarous people are subjected to increased criticism about their relationships. Polyamarous people face a hyper comparison when one person lies about being polyam to abuse their girlfriend or a polyam person ends up being a bad partner it is cast on all polyamarous people.
Cis/Het Men Can't Be Queer
When people make this argument their projecting the bad boyfriend of a friend of theirs onto all polyamorous people, it's a straw man. We've decided some time ago that cis/het men can in fact be queer, I don't even like that. If I was big goddess of queerness I would vanish cis/het men from being queer but we already decided that they were. I frankly just do not care for cis/het dudes generally, some of my favorite siblings are cis/het dudes.
The A in LGBTQIA includes Asexuals and Aromantics both of whom can be Cis/Het men. The I can in fact also include cis/het men people who are intersex and assigned male at birth and id as men do exist and those people can in fact be cis/het.
Polyamarous People Aren't Historically Oppressed
The reality is if you look at the history of the world, you'll find that most cultures were not monogamous. A lot practiced Social Monogamy aka a woman was owned by a man but the man fucked around and that was normal. However, many cultures simply had no concept of monogamy, in fact there are some cultures to this day that are non monogamous without men having ownership of women. The reality is much how history is much gayer then we know and a lot more trans then we know history is also a lot more non-monogamous. Many indigenous cultures and pre Christian cultures practiced various forms of non-monogamy. These cultures were wiped out slowly with the Christian take over of the majority of the world. Ethical or not we know many powerful people took multiple wives in countries like China where the empires had ranks for their consorts as a standard practice. These are not vastly different then the kind of monogamous marriages that were common place by kings only they didn't need to kill their wives to be with other women.
The reality is that something that came natural to many be it bad or good instincts was suppressed and removed. Polyamory was wiped out from most the world because it deviated the mind set of the colonizers. Of course any place queerness has been suppressed queer non-monogamy was suppressed as well. We know that polyamarous people have had to hide their relationships especially if they deviated from the heteronormative model like like in the case of  William Moulton Marston, Elizabeth Holloway Marston, and Olive Byrne whom had to cloak their relationship be that sexual or not.
Polyamarous Are Just Sleeping Around
I don't have to go in depth here, asexual polyamarous people like me exist. I am dating many a hot lady and person and I haven't had sex in years. I don't have sex. You don't need to have sex to be polyamarous.
However, what's wrong with wanting to have sex? Why is that a grounds for oppression? Having lots of sex or no sex, it doesn't make you more or less valid. I saw someone say that polyamarous people deserve to have their kids taken away because their sleeping around.
Does a single monogamous mom deserve to have her kids taken away if she sleeps around when her kids are with their dad? What about a dad? Like sleeping around is something most monogamous allosexuals do. Be that cheating or being chronically single and going on hook up apps for sex. The second you start dating your supposed to swear away your libido towards others forever until you break up.
If that's your form of chastity play with your partner, I am not here to stop you. However, consenting partners deciding they are good with each other fucking other people isn't wrong.
Polyamory is Oppressing Women
Where in the terfy world have I heard people claiming someone else's private lives are actually just oppressing cis women. Can cis/het dudes say "Hey girl, I'm polyamarous so it wasn't cheating when I fucked your best friend" sure they can but that was still cheating. People don't even time to understand Non-monogamy to know that the vast majority of polyam people would say that it is cheating to have sex with another person without informing your partner or agreeing in advance you both can sleep with anyone you want.
Again, I don't give a shit about cis/het dudes, send them to the sun, I don't care but here they are used as a hypnotical device to attack other queer people. The OP who was getting harassed on mass was Pansexual and most everyone I have seen say Polyamory is queer has been some form of queer person. I don't know if you know this but cis/het dudes do not want to be queer, they don't want to be counted among the homosexuals on account that many of them are homophobic and transphobic.
This simply willingly ignores that many women are polyamarous. If you look at many poly groups you'll see lots of women there looking to date men and women. If you go on dating apps like her you'll see lots of polyamarous women. If you go to one trans women's discord server you'll see lots of polyamarous women there. You can see polyamarous lesbians
Polyamory Is Oppressive
Typically they form at some form of Polygamy and go like, see, polyamory is oppressive and you all act like your better then us! This utterly ignores that to this day monogamy has not unpacked it's roots as a system of ownership. The history of dating for love is actually ridiculously small in the white world. Monogamy was just one of several systems of women being sold to men by the men in their lives. One that took root and was forced on many many many people's who did not practice this form of oppression or oppressing women at all until Christians came to their land.
Polyamory can be unethical as can many other forms of non-monogamy and some are rooted in systems of ownership just like monogamy is rooted in that. The reality is our hearts are not ethical anyway, we can't expect love to be perfect and utterly unproblematic but also there are forms of polyamory that are ethical.
Polyamory Is Just A Choice
I saved this one for last because this one is feelings based where the others have provable facts this one people can simply chose to believe me or not. However, I want to talk about wider queer theory for a second to really practically engage this idea. While the popular narrative is that being queer is not a choice some queer theorists have pushed back on this idea. The main queer counter arguments are We Chose Our Own Actions and If It Was A Choice I'd Chose It.
We Chose Own Actions poses us with the idea that while our internal feelings might not be a choice we chose how we act on our choices and queerness is choosing to express and live outside of what we are told. That queerness itself is the choice of acting against the cishetero systems of control. So it doesn't matter if a Republican law maker is secretly gay, he wouldn't be queer because queerness in this model is a choice, it's an identity we chose.
Then the If It Was A Choice It Chose It model says, so what if it was a choice. It choses to simply ignore internal feelings and say it doesn't matter why I want to kiss other women, the fact I chose to do it is consensually with other women who chose to kiss women in itself is valid and worthy of respect. That there is nothing shameful about being queer and therefore if they could chose to be queer that is enough to be respected. This simply says being gay is great, I like being gay, I'd pick it every time and you can't stop me and I will be respected.
We went over these models to say that even if you end up disagreeing with me, that being non-mongamous is in fact not a choice to you that that doesn't necessarily excluded it from being queer and that doesn't mean that Polyamarous people don't deserve respect or rights.
However, to me being polyamarous is core to who I am. It is not a choice for me but I would chose it every time. I would never want to get rid of my 15 year relationship with my Fiancé or my 8 year relationship with my girlfriends in Scotland or any other relationship I'm a part of. To me it's natural to want to be with other people, to feel romantic feelings and it feels gross to me to suggest that I should suppress those feelings or if I did that it would be morally better.
I was in high school when I started dating my Fiancé, even then Freshmen year of high school I told them, "Hey if you wanna date other people, that's okay". At the time, It was mostly because we lived an "unbareable" thirty minutes away from one another, sometimes an hour in traffic. "Worlds away" and unable to drive I really wanted them to be able to be loved and have everything they wanted in a relationship. They did not act on that for years and years. Many years later we talk about polyamory more seriously, I had feelings for my now 8 year long distance relationship GFs. We had all been friends, they helped me come out as trans, we got on so perfectly, and there was a guy friend of ours that they had been kinda attracted to and wanted to try to feel things out with. We agreed that we would explore our feelings and stuff.
From there we've been actively identifying as polyamorous, there was bumps in the road, I was not a perfect girlfriend and I misunderstood how Polyamory worked like thinking we all had to want to date each other and realizing that was not the case. It felt right to be polyam and it kept feeling right as we met people, had feelings and let our relationships evolve to wherever they went naturally, disclosing with each other obviously but we love talking about crushes and dates and stuff together. We've never dated the same person and we probably never will but we love each other and love seeing each other be loved. This is core to who I am, my Fiancé is my soul mate, but my soul isn't small, it's big and it has other soul mates and sweet loves.
It what comes natural to me and it would feel as bad to me to stop being polyamorous as to go back into the closet about being asexual, trans or being a lesbian. To me it's the part of my identity that is probably most in practice in that I talk to my GFs every single day, I live with my Fiancé, their actively part of my life every single day and I am open to new feelings every single day. Even with a recent break up with one of my Girlfriend's of nearly two years I not once wished I was monogamous, my heart was in pain but I still loved being polyam.
I don't have anything else to say on this topic really, I don't care if I get dunked on, to me, this is who I am. I don't particularly love "the polyam community" as a wider hole, I am in my own lesbian niche. Still, I think even the unfortunately straight among us deserve to have the right to love who they love. Nothing anyone stays is gonna get me to suddenly see my love as selfish or something.
[If you want more polyamorous sapphic art to exist in the world maybe consider throwing me a few bucks on Patreon or Ko-fi so I can afford to make more.]

My thoughts for the last episode [Spoilers]:
---The beginning(approximately 5 minutes) was paced quite decent, they manage to cramp the Collector's development in all of that and it kinda works because the guy was never bad, just innocent and unaware of the bad things they had done.
---Belos as a whole was spectacular. The bastard really lives up to his expectations. And as a villain, he is one of my favorite characters by far. Possessing the Titan? We saw it coming, and they execute quite well for my perspective.
---They pull out an Anne Bounchoy in reverse here. They killed Luz to bring her back in an overpowering form. Not sure how to feel about that one. On one hand, it was a beautiful and climatic final confrontation. On the other, It undermines Luz's own achievements by giving her what she needs instead of finding it herself. Yet, I can see why they choose to do this, is just cool and considerating what she was against what else was she supposed to do?
---They really give Raine a protagonistic role on this, not unwelcome but feels a little out of the blue. Still their inclusion and relevance feels organic enough as to not to feel oppressive.
---The Hexsquad and Camila really get sideline in this one! Like, they weren't even relevant through the whole episode! Truth be told, they got more than enough development from the last episodes so I can understand why that was the case. Eda and King deserved and needed a lot of screen time to compensate for their lack of relevance through the third season. Still... Something like Hunter being present for Belos's death or Camila's reaction to Luz's "death" would have been a welcome addition
---The Collector leaving was to some extent unexpected and personally unnecessary. They kist learn a lot in a couple hours and them just leaving instead of staying and learning more feels kinda anticlimactic, let Eda be the mother's figure they need!
---The conclusion was just as expected, reunions after reunions, what else was meant to happen? It worked perfectly and it was quite a peaceful and hopeful resolution. And Luz losing glyphs magic was the perfect bittersweet closure to it. With the true death of the Titan, it makes sense that she would lose said magic, a noble sacrifice.
---Time Skips... Honestly, I hate those for a lot of reasons. Especially if they take place through multiple years. Luz's quinciallera a couple days/weeks should have been the ending, allow everyone's family to gather to celebrate together, give us as many small interactions as possible
-Vee hugging Camila and Luz upon their return and for the former to call them mom and sister
-Eda and Camila's proper introduction to one another (and the latter's reaction to harpy Eda)
-Have Lilith just randomly getting harpy form just for the giggles (the owl beast is just that happy)
-Have Hunter together with Vee, and King during the final parts of the Quinciañera giving Luz a tearful speech about how much she changed their lives for the better (They are siblings!)
-Willow and Hunter could ask at the same time to become partners (Maybe the same with Matt and Gus?)
-Have more and more people coming through the portal to see Luz (She changed a lot of lives after all)
---Basically, let the audience materialize their own far-away future. Time skips have the drawback of leaving too much development in between. Using one for Thanks to Them was understandable. But here it feels unnecessary. Instead of Luz's incoming stay on college, let's us see a open ending focus on showing us the many adventures and mysteries left unresolved, letting your audience's imagination go rampant with everything that was left to cover and wish for more!
Still, just because I have my own opinion and vision doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the episode. Although the shortening will forever taint my joy for the show, eternally wishing to see the missing potential we never got to see... I love it and nothing will change that.

thoughts on Barbie (2022)
If you're at all interested in this movie and its discourse, Broey Deschanel's video and Verily Bitchie's are worth your time. They explain how the film is propaganda to sell toys (of course) but its main purpose is to revitalize Mattel's brand and begin a new "marvel cinematic universe" with their IPs. Bringing beloved indie directors in as a promise they'll sneak authenticity through the corporate machine is part of that marketing tactic. Apparently, it's worked for Barbie despite many of the people who celebrate it feeling fatigue with Disney-Marvel for over-saturating the cinema landscape using the exact same tactics. Maybe because this time it's with the toys of their childhood instead of star wars and comic books it feels subversive, brave, and refreshing, but Barbie's vision of Girl Power is not even meekly rebellious and certainly not feminist.
There is a purposeful void where the feminism should be. It is the strawman that anti-feminists imagine: not a movement of liberation and equality, only a cry of "I want to be the one doing the oppressing!".
I understand how a Wakanda-like vision of a world without misogyny is a delightful fantasy to live in, and the few lines explicitly calling out impossible, often contradictory double standards held over women may be a wake up call for those who have not engaged with this conversation before. For baby's first feminism, simply recognizing what misogyny is and how it wears down and degrades women can be a powerful experience. However, there is no discussion of how and why patriarchy causes and enforces misogyny or how to dismantle it.
The movie acknowledges the male characters, especially Ken, as emotional beings with understandable pain, and gives him more attention than the troubled mother-daughter relationship that seems like it should be the core of a film for and about women. His existential crisis is a parallel to Barbie's, and so for a satisfying conclusion, it's important they both get the answer to their question: "Who am I? What do I need to be to deserve love?".
"You're not an accessory, you should just do your own thing without a woman" is a fine answer for Ken, but is an incomplete offering for men under patriarchy. For all the runtime this movie sinks into men, it seems to go out of its way to avoid ever acknowledging how patriarchy harms them, too. Bell Hooks said, "The first act of violence that patriarchy demands of males is not violence toward women. Instead, patriarchy demands of all males that they engage in acts of psychic self-mutilation, that they kill off the emotional parts of themselves." Will Ferrell's declaration that he wants to be tickled is the closest thing to acknowledging how patriarchy robs men of full access to their own lives but unless you already know feminist theory, it's just a throwaway joke on what a goofy little guy he is.
From birth, patriarchy teaches men the answer to the question of how to be worthy of love is a lifelong gauntlet of contests. Who collects the most valuable things (women being objectified and included in this tally), who can endure the most isolation and pain, who can conquer and stand alone at the top. Stepping on women is normalized as an easy way to raise ranks in these contests before even competing with other men. Treating women as equals is punished because it's not participating 'correctly' if he doesn't seek power over women and other men (I kept waiting for Allan to be some kind of comment on this, but nope!).
The word Patriarchy is littered throughout the script and used as a magic spell to transform Barbieland overnight without any further exposition. Men are framed as the adversary, but the happy ending is not to free everyone from patriarchy. Systemic injustice is not challenged, men and women do not unite as equals. Barbieland returns to Matriarchy and the narrator chuckles about how someday, perhaps, the Kens will only face the same level of oppression human women do on earth.
I saw more memes about Ken than any other character, and although there's validity to claims that he's most popular because men always get more positive attention than women, it's also definitely a consequence of the film's choices. He gets the most fully formed and sympathetic arc, a music number, and most marketable quips and visual gags. Getting through heartbreak and learning "I am Kenough" is a lot easier to relate to and make fun memes of than a flawless, immortal being meeting her creators and choosing to develop cellulite and die.
The reception of this movie has been enormous and enthusiastic, surely in part because its marketing budget cost as much as the movie itself. I was curious whether criticism and lack of accolade was really just misogyny at work as much of the internet believes. The conclusion I've come to is that Mattel strategically planned Barbie to be championed by women and rely on real misogyny ("pink movie for girls bad, cannot be good movie") to blot out any and all criticism of its weak writing and insincere, toothless social commentary. This happened with Ghostbusters 2016; the wailing and fury of nostalgic misogynists was so loud, it made denouncing them feel like an important fight to take up rather than just free advertising and clout for a mediocre, cynical corporate product.
I totally understand the ~fun~ parts of this movie and I'd enjoy watching some of the spectacle again. It's just frustrating to see Mattel catching earnest people hook, line, and sinker in the year 2023 even after a decade of seeing others strung along behind the same boat. They've successfully packaged the movie as important through implied (but critically absent) connection to feminism when all that's inside is, for better or worse, just a colorful plastic toy (20$).

i find it kind of weird to read incels in the language of gender dysmorphia as well, like they’re just people being innocently oppressed by the gender binary as opposed to a group committed to violently maintaining it!! insane how much sympathy they get when compared to other similar online groups esp given that they have perpetrated actual terrorist attacks
I apologise in advance for the long reply, but I guess this really bothered me...
@pussiel It really doesn't make sense to me why people are mentioning incels specifically as people we should help and be sorry for. Incels don't want to have equal standing with other people! They're angry because they're not at the top of the social hierarchy. Not only do they consider women inferior, but they're also driven to a rage when men of different cultural backgrounds or God forbid, disabled men manage to have a loving relationship with a woman. Or worse yet, when this "wrong kind of man" achieves a high social standing, which is what these incels are actually about -- possessing a woman that they consider impressive to other men is their goal, not merely to have sex. They talk very openly about it, even though the sex part is the one that receives more attention. It's no secret what they think of women they consider to be "low status". And well... Like you said, they've actually killed people, more than once.
The reason so many people, myself included, were upset about that post is that we can agree that neither men nor women should be bullied for their appearance, but they had to try to make us pity incels, who'd very much like to harm us if they got their way. They mention something that makes a lot of sense, and then stretch it out in a way that you must help and be sorry for and pity the person that wants to end you. It's like bringing up the oppression of the working classes of the world, and then focusing on the sector of the population that joins a movement for ethnic hatred. And asking the group that they hate that they should be nicer to them so that the people in the hate movement don't feel so bad about themselves. I hope that it was just poorly worded, I post things without thinking all the time, but it's worse that there were many that read it and said, "Yes, I agree completely." Not to be #not all men, but there are many reasons to dislike or be opposed to incels specifically, but a lot of those who write about it, whether journalists or people who are just saying things, do try to make it about men in general... As if going through social and economic hardship turns every man into a violent misogynist, a eugenicist, a bully, sometimes a racist as well. As if women didn't have to go through the same pressures (who would have thought).
I don't know what it will take for people to understand that hardly anyone hates incels for being "ugly," whatever that means, but for their values and their personality, which is shaped by these values. I don't understand why people insist on the idea of "ugliness" as the incel's tragedy. That is only what they say to themselves and each other; I insist that what they resent is their perceived loss of status, and when I say these things I risk repeating what everyone already knows (I do not doubt that you already know it, for example) but apparently a lot of people weren't actually aware of what incels believe, or they wouldn't take it so lightly. Elliot Rodger was wealthy and conventionally attractive for a man, but was reportedly rejected because he acted in a rude and entitled manner to peers of all genders. Incels hate seeing conventionally unattractive (whatever that means) or disabled men having a relationship because it disrupts their myth. They are always very angry when they see that. But they also hate men that they consider to be more attractive than them. They hate anyone that has what they think they deserve.
You will have noticed a curious thing. That I mention what incels think of other men, when they are known primarily for their hatred of women. That is because they do not see women as people, or at least they pretend to other incels and MRAs that such is their belief--but they do see other men as such, not only that, but as competitors. I don't have the information here with me, but I remember reading that at least one of them killed more men than he did women. It really is very tiring to be asked to be kind to people who have these beliefs because, really, someone like that? Considering the demographics of this site, they would barely see any of us as people in the first place. I don't know what the solution would be, but I'm pretty sure that it's not to ask a site full of people hated by incels that we should be nice to them and help them realise how good looking and lovable they actually are.
EDIT: Back to the first thing you mentioned (sorry that I took so long...), that they are viewed more sympathetically than other similar movements, but perhaps it is because the suffering of women and other groups is considered to be natural? Just a part of life? Whereas, to some degree, men of a certain class are supposed to have a life of comfort and satisfaction. Some difficulties, but only enough to add to the challenge of life, a kind of enrichment so to speak.
One thing that I wanted to mention but forgot to add before this edit is that the defense of incels whether by themselves or by the people who write about them is that there's a sense of wronged justice.
There is a just order of things, and when it is disrupted, it creates a state of injustice (it must be reverted to how things were before, when they were just). Men (the platonic idea of a Man) used to have A (money?), B (status?), C (sex?) & D (labour from their dependents?) in the past, now they are unhappy because they no longer have them (the implication is that they should have them again to resolve this problem / this injustice).
I have read several articles that leave the question of a solution open-ended, but the factors that they mention as characterising the idealised past of Man are in themselves suggestions about what should be done to stop incels acting the way they do (give them everything they want / put everyone else in their proper place).

So, I know you are an anarchist but you are also based as fuck, like the most based anarchist I've seen in a while.
Are there any prominent anarchists who history who influenced your particular view on the world? If so, who were they?
Emma Goldman!
Two things about her very specifically. For one, the "If I can't dance I don't want to be part of your revolution." Emphasizing joy and life in an environment where most people are stuck up and reactionary, treating all displays of joy as bourgois degeneracy. (Sound familiar?)
The other was after the assassination attempt on William McKinley, where she made the incredibly controversial move of not denouncing the attack and openly saying that it was necessary and Leon Czolgosz was in the right to attack him, but at the same time she offered personal medical assistance to McKinley because she believed that it would be cruel to let him suffer the pain from a (thought to be) failed assasination, so she would do what she can to help him recover.
This dichotomy of being able to see and without fear express the political goal and necessity of violence she believed in, but at the same time showing that even the people targeted are all human and that letting them suffer is not the goal nor an acceptable thing to pursue as it accomplishes nothing anymore, that's something that really changed how I view politics and compassion and the intersection between them.
My political foundation is that I believe in compassion and joy. I want to be able to have genuine hope for people to achieve a world based on those things and anarchism is the only political ideology that is in it's purest form based on the hope and the idea that even if people are not so good now, they can be if they live in conditions that allow for it. Anarchism is the only ideology that doesn't require violence to reign in some thought to be inherent destructive, or evil parts of humans.
And Emma Goldman encompasses exactly that. She rejects joyless reactionary revolutionary larping and she rejects suffering for the sake of suffering.
Also her describing puritanism as one of the biggest central forces of oppression and calling suffragettes privileged women who fetishize voting in favor of class conciousness are also really fucking based.
I would probably also really enjoy Kropotkin if I ever actually read anything he wrote. From what I know, the basic premise of "if your revolution does not have a plan to supply food to your people, it has already failed" is something I wholeheartedly agree with. I also believe that food and cooking and eating are something genuinely holy, so I have a sentimental attatchment to this idea, too, but even without that, I think people deserve good food and it's one thing that often gets taken for granted as a sacrifice that could be easily made I feel when really hunger is one of the worst things you can inflict onto people. There is this whole idea in leftism of "after the revolution we won't have excess and will plan and ration food and people will have to deal with it for the wellbeing of the whole (and fat people won't exist and disabled people will die, but who cares)" and like, pal that's ecofascism with a leftist hat.

The toxicity of Chichi's fanbase needs to be addressed.
They make fun of people for not liking her.
They give people shit for wanting Goku to be with someone else and thinking he deserves better.
They make people feel bad for not sympathizing with her.
They put high standards on Goku and expect him to be a perfect husband and father with no flaws, but Chichi gets a free pass.
They shit on Goku for not listening to her demands, (even though always he does when he's not busy saving the world) and not finding a job when she doesn't have one either.
They blame Goku for all of Chichi's problems and bad behavior, even though she's been a crazy bitch before she even met him.
They harass people for acknowledging that Chichi is abusive, and try to paint Goku as the abuser when canon suggests otherwise.
They insult people for taking the abuse seriously and saying "it's meant to be a comedy" or "it's just fiction" as if that should automatically dismiss all valid criticism. Imagine if someone tried using those same excuses for Peter and Lois Griffin or any other abusive anime relationship involving a tsundere.
They give Chichi all the credit for being a good mom (she isn't IMO) but ignore all the other better Dragon Ball moms who are actually good parents that don't need to use brute force to scare their children into submission just to get them to do what they want. Bulma, 18, Videl, Gine, Panchy. All of these women are objectively better moms than Chichi could ever be and her fans are jealous of that.
They don't allow any criticism of her. They can't handle it whatsoever.
They act like Chichi is an innocent martyr who can do no wrong and think anyone who says otherwise is a monster. Funny how people will always discuss when the same is being done to Goku, Vegeta, Bulma or Piccolo but Chichi apologists are swept under the rug.
They deny canon proof of Chichi manipulating Gohan into thinking he doesn't like fighting. He was only four years old when he told Bulma he wanted to be an orthopedist or whatever the fuck he said.
They get so mad when people insist that she forced Goku to marry her all because he proposed to her. Ignoring context at it's finest. He only proposed to make her feel better and felt that it was his duty to fulfill a meaningless promise that he didn't even understand. The fact that she faked crying because it seemed like he was about to reject her and then kissed him without his consent, fondled him for the rest of the day until his next fight, all while he's looking confused, scared, disgusted, contempt and uncomfortable at the same time never factored into their minds.
They treats THEMSELVES like oppressed martyrs because someone dared to say something bad about her.
I've have been personally attacked by Chichi fans more times than I can count, and I have seen other Chichi haters get unfair scrutiny and judgement. Yet I see her fanbase acting like THEY'RE the ones being victimized, but I see their fanbase doing more harm to the anti Chichis than the anti Chichis ever do to them. If just ONE Chichi hater says something mean about a Chichi fan, it's treated as generalization rather than an isolated incident. But I never see the other way around. And her fans act high and mighty like they're more sane than the haters just because they like Chichi and others don't.

Industry people voted for Harry to win AOTY, 18,000 industry people vote for that award every year. Whether they think he’s manufactured or not is irrelevant because they’re clearly buying what he’s selling so who really cares? I’m sorry but I’m tired of the self soothing “oh but he’s manufactured and people know it” like… let’s not lie to ourselves to feel better. It’s easy to fall in the trap of thinking that karma is actually real and things will rectify themselves eventually, that we just need a little patience because surely this terrible person is falling out of favor, and people are seeing through them, and their imminent fall from grace is inevitable.
In my experience, that’s self soothing BS. Undeserving people have stepped on my back to get job positions I wanted and needed. My friends would go “oh but I bet your boss will see it if you work hard enough” or “eventually the true face of this person will show” and years go by and things don’t “fix themselves”, karma doesn’t strike, justice isn’t made.
The same thing happens in the music industry, probably ten times worse. As someone who’s been observing the industry for a while, Harry has managed to reach an echelon that very few people have reached in history. I’m talking, Justin freaking Timberlake never won AOTY. 49 artists have won that award since the Grammys were created. Of today’s musical landscape, of artists that routinely chart and are popular, the only ones to ever win it are Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, Adele, Taylor Swift, and Harry Styles. You can add Kacey Musgraves to that list if you feel so inclined (I don’t, she’s not actually mainstream imo). That is an INSANE lineup to be a part of, and the day I found out he’d won it (the day after the Grammys because I refused to stay up just to get pissed off), was when I realized he’d won.
He just won and people are running in circles trying to come up with excuses as to why, actually, he can still lose. This is what he wanted and he got it, to a degree that I don’t even know he himself imagined (and people can spare me the discourse about his team buying Grammys because you can buy nominations but not awards, and definitely not AOTY, there’s a reason so few people have won it). Sure, we all know everything he lost in the process, but I’m willing to bet he doesn’t care and it’s all worth it for him.
There’s no degree of “the industry knows” or “fans will drop him.” The industry embraced him and he has fans in a chokehold, as much as it makes me want to break things. I let myself be fooled by the reception of his award on twitter, and then I came across a post about it on Facebook. People were outraged… that Twitter was mad. I kid you not. He pops up in my for you page on tik tok all the time no matter how many times I pick “not interested”. The amount of videos defending him and outraged about the person shouting during his acceptance speech. The amount of comments saying that Beyoncé was overrated (freaking BEYONCÉ. Overrated!!!????), that he deserved the win (!!!). The comments on YouTube and even in articles defending him. I truly truly gave up at that point. This poor excuse of a man could kick puppies as a hobby and they’d still be lodged up his ass.
bestie trust me when I tell u that I know all this 😭 I understand you probably just wanted to let your frustration out and I'm glad u did but like I 100% agree unfortunately lol I've always been the most pessimistic when it came to that man, and when I said industry people think he's manufactured I mean they probably know but also why should they care lol the entire music industry is a big manufactured mess built up by horrible men so they will support each other no matter what
and I do agree karma doesn't exist lol Good people are always pushed out by oppressive systems bc otherwise those systems wouldn't work anymore (that's why there are no good politicians and no good cops) and if we're talking about universal karma then good people always die and bad people live to their 90s rip
If u ask any of my friends here like @weareonejazzhand she can tell u I've been saying that we'll never get rid of that man now and we'll still be bombarded with his stupid biopic in 2050 and by then he'll have rewritten history completely lol
money always wins

Retarded nigger cunt. KYS
There is another ask like this that I will not post that also tells me to go back to Africa but it's too much even for this blog.
I remember a time when terfs tried to claim I was sending myself these asks. I do not believe you understand the impact and history of those words you used, nor any terfs. I know it is a hard to tell from this blog, but I try to be an incredibly understanding of the way I walk amongst this Earth. But true empathy comes at a cost of being fucking angry at people who refuse to try and understand others. I'm angry at radical feminists, conservatives, rapists, abusers, capitalism, the prison industrial complex, and more. I was as old as Travyon Martin was when he died. Everyday could very well be my last when I live next to towns where it was legal to kill people who looked like me after dark. And I still have to interact with white people everyday and know that I represent a whole group of people when I step outside. I have had high standards put on me from a young age when my mother told me that I was going to be the first one in my family to go to college. My father is the strongest man I know, he has been a soothing presence in my life. The first time and last time I've seen him cry was after the movie Queen and Slim. It was silent and he hung back from my mother and I. All I could feel in that moment and since was anger.
I am an angry person at the world and I have been since I was a child. I stress so much about being good to the people around me and being a positive influence in my loved one's lives. You all turned your hatred of oppression to perpetuating more oppression and continuing a long cycle of abuse that is against everything I stand for as a person. I find it abhorrent that arguing with terfs in the way I does warrants these asks. It's disgusting how oblivious most radical feminists are to their compatriots. And always, without fail, people say "well this isn't our community." It is! If radical feminism attracts hateful people, maybe radfems should consider that their movement inherently relies on willfull misunderstanding. I find radical feminism worse due to their proximity to trans people, which reduces the amount of safe spaces in an already unsafe world. When did the world go so wrong? Why can't you all understand that hatred only begets more hatred? If you would open your eyes you would see that the world is much bigger than your hatred. There are beautiful people in this world who could show you kindness you would not believe. But you have to be deserving of that relationship. If you send anonymous racist messages it will only harm you in the end. I'm upset yes, but this is everyday I deal with this stuff. But you my friend has a long life ahead of you for atoning for your actions. If not in this life, it'll be the next. Hatred doesn't come free. I hope the person who you love most talks to you tonight in the same way you spoke to me. Go to hell.

Devotional commentary and rambling
"Jesus was completely interested in those forgotten, overlooked, oppressed. We can’t escape it. So instead we join it. This means that to Be Human, we put action to our conviction to follow Jesus ... Justice is standing up for someone who cannot stand up for themselves."
I feel forgotten by the other communities I'm a part of.
I feel the urge to apologize for things out of my control. And that's so ironic because I'm not supposed to, right? That goes against bpd, anxious attachment, codependent recovery. The truth is everything - leftism, queer spaces, mental health spaces, whatever - act like they have these values but I'm not included in them for no reason.
Tumblr media
When I started seeing "nomaps dni" I understand it more clearly. It doesn't actually matter *what* I do. So why would I try to gain your approval?
Tumblr media
I have things I care about. A limited number of attention span units if you will. I mean obviously one of them will be the welfare of minors and youth. Not only because I believe in sublimation but because I was one and we were all. That is the basis for any human rights is how we treat the youngest "beginner" humans. And this is unfortunately the group losing rights, like in the USA where the children's bill of rights isn't even ratified, it's just.. disgusting. And overwhelming for someone who only recently found a house after hotels/being kicked out.
Tumblr media
But what's even more overwhelming is that it's the same answer to this question.
"What is one thing that distracts you from the Father?"
Probably the people who tell me that I deserve to kill myself or be institutionalized/imprisoned for life just for existing. No, most of us don't need "intensive" therapy to not be rapists. I simply don't rape people like anybody else?
"It feels like work to read the Bible, pray, worship, or even go to church, so we stop. When we do, we get even more spiritually malnourished. We must choose to invest in our spiritual comeback even when our feelings are screaming for us not to.
We never have to earn God’s love or acceptance with our actions. Anything we do to stay on course spiritually is just to grow closer to Him. To get out of our spiritually dry season, we do the things we’ve done when we were in a healthy season. Because when we do that, we’ll eventually fill back up."
And how I already knew that.
"In your dry season, what role have your feelings had? Have they dictated your faith or were you allowing your faith to govern your feelings?"
I'm just aggressive. I feel too mad at everybody and God to pay attention. I don't feel heard. I want to know that my anger is allowed to be a part of me for the time being. Even if it's temporary. And it should be. But just acknowledge that I'm angry. Please. I am. Say you see me and that I'm angry.
"When you are struggling spiritually, what is the first spiritual practice that you tend to neglect? Commit to God that you will continue to spend time with Him even when you feel He’s far away."
I don't moderate my language anymore. I insult myself and others. I act petty. I cuss a lot.
"Where can you be responsible for showing kindness as an unexpected response?"
I DON'T WANT TO BE KIND TO PEOPLE WHO WANT ME DEAD so CAN I PLEASE compromise with just ignoring them?
Is the unexpected response still being kind to myself?
"Sin’s first fingerprint upon people was shame."
"Fear is the primary motivation that rages and burns in the human heart and is behind many evils that people commit... Many Christians also live in fear that they may do or say something that will offend God. But when we are reconciled to Him, we have a restored relationship with God. Our fear is replaced with confidence in God-given acceptance. We were not created to live in fear."
