I'm very glad to see notes on certain posts once in a while. It's...very reassuring to someone with like...catholic guilt beaten into them to see people agreeing that the things you make, create, fantasize, and enjoy do not make you a bad or good person. That they aren't what makes you a person worthy of respect and love and care.

#I'm going through it rn #but thank you #to all of you honestly #having the amount of followers I do I try to remember that that's all people who like the same kind of stuff I do #and there's no possible way all of them are 'bad people' because of that #because that's not how life and being human works #even those followers who have my dark content tags filtered because they like my other stuff and the stuff I share #because there's no doubt that there are some of you that do that #thank you for that #for realizing you can make your own space for your comfort with people you like who happen to make content you don't like #I definitely could use a bit of a break but I have become reliant on socials and such #but I will make an effort for myself #so I don't like #end up hating what I do and leave you guys suddenly #I don't want to do that #cream talks #if you read all of this thank you #personal #it may seem insincere because we are all strangers to each other #but I do appreciate you guys #very much

#there are a great many skills and crafts that do take time effort and whatnot to do decently well #i can verify that. i do SEVERAL myself #costume jewellery is not and will never be one of them #which is great because honestly more people should make things with their hands (if they have hands and those hands are functional)#it's good for the soul #the reverse of 'you're paying me far too much for this tbh'#is that it's probably the ONE thing that you can start doing for yourself for VERY little investment #have nice stuff almost immediately #and feel like a god for beating claire's at the own game

Yeah no I'm much more likely to be projecting semi-detached professionalism. If I'm domming I'm not really there for roleplay, I'm there to supervise you while you're locked down and squirming. I talk like tech support when I'm in a scene. "Not too tight? Good. I'm gonna take the vibe up two settings, yeah? Okay, great, I'm gonna leave that there, snap your fingers when it's getting to be too much; we'll keep ramping it up until you have to tap out." I like being unaffected and in control while people are losing it and I am not particularly tactile or into being touched or getting off while I'm doing that.

Which is great if you like to be dehumanized and objectified and hand yourself to me like you're taking a car to a mechanic! Less great if you're looking for a lot of praise or comfort or physical contact in the moment.

#I'm good at aftercare! I can be very comforting during aftercare!#but i am not interested in projecting emotions like a normal human being for my own sake #i have dommed for people who need a kinder gentler touch than my normal vibe #but it is a lot more effort and makes me a lot less certain of myself #i can help you with your medical kink not your mommy kink

#genshin #genshinedit #genshinet #genshin impact #mondstadt #liyue #inazuma #sumeru #m:gfx #m:*#m:gfx:all #flashing tw #trying something different :> although it nearly killed my laptop for good in the process #i've been wanting to do something representative of the archon quests for a while #and then i rediscovered those stamps from last year's new years web event and wanted to use them #but that's also why fontaine isn't here because it doesn't have one OTL sorry fontaine enjoyers #i considered making the stamp myself but i'm too lazy and this whole thing was already a lot of effort #the scenes i tried to balance it between like. key/memorable moments + different characters + cohesive compositions #(e.g. nothing too chaotic with movement and angles like most fight scenes tend to be)#the quotes similarly were ones i personally found really memorable and/or representative of the archon quest in question #i didn't even realize all of them except inazuma had their nation's theme (freedom contracts wisdom) in them until i put this together #so i skimmed through for an eternity one for inazuma but honestly i couldn't find any i wanted to use more than the ambitions one #and ambitions is a major theme the inazuma quest focused on that tied a lot into the themes of eternity anyways #if i had included fontaine the quote i chose would have balanced it out since that one doesn't explicitly say justice either #it was gonna be neuvillette's line #you are a devious one focalors. things as being as they are... surely you know that i could never again declare them to be 'guilty'

I've talked before about how the way people treat suicide can be unintentionally devastating to the suicidal person, but I don't think I really ever said how to avoid that.

Speaking about suicide in how selfish it "is" ("think about how you'll transfer your pain to your loved ones!") might seem like a way to put logical sense into the suicidal person, but, honestly? It runs the risk of massively increasing their shame and guilt about being suicidal. Suicide is not inherently a revenge fantasy or a way to "get back" at someone's loved ones, so when the suicidal person is treated like a criminal of a "crime" they haven't even committed yet, you can imagine how unhelpful that can become.

Instead, if you want to point out how cherished your person is, frame their relationships as something they can keep fostering.

"Your cat will miss you :(!!!!" becomes "you and your cat seem close, right? I'm sure it's beautiful having a close friend like that!" and maybe include ways that they and their cat are close and meaningful to each other, tailored to that relationship.

That's only one example, but when you shift the focus away from why that person should repent and feel guilty for being suicidal, you can instead focus on why they would live for that reason. See how you can frame that as a positive? Whatever is keeping that person tethered should never be used as a bludgeon, I think, because then you're taking away why they're living, the positivity of why they are here. Whatever they are here for should be remembered often and honoured.

#mental health #mental health advocacy #mental health support #suicide #suicide tw #(after this i'm going to rant about being told the unhelpful narrative i included above)#when i was younger the thing i was told the most was that suicide would only transfer my pain to others...#...and is that true? maybe. was it helpful? no.#why was that unhelpful?#because i started using that as yet ANOTHER reason to feel guilty and to lash out against myself...#...because that didn't magic away my suicidality like it 'should have'...#...and that was ~obvious~ proof i didn't care enough about my loved ones to keep them out of harms way...#...and it can be really hard not to do that (give advice like that) because if you're not the suocidal person...#...you have the luxury of thinking without the burden they are labouring under...#...you can see 'logically' and make assumptions about what the other person 'needs'#it's just frustrating because i know that people like this want to help but i worry about *how* they are helping...#...in the sense that i want their efforts to actually help their person and bring them closer
