will it ever be enough? when someone loves you, you feel something curl inside of you, sour and whiplike, angry at being unheard. they don't really love you, they love this facsimile you have ensconced in your rabbit body. they will chop up the bits of you looking for luck and never find the good soul you promise - their love slides off. you're viscera; you have spent a lifetime promising the blood is art.
oh but when someone hates you - well, they're right to. and you'd trip over your little grassknot legs for them. begging them to reconsider. you feel it all knifeedge, spinepoint straight through you. they're the ones who see the real you, after all; and if they can love you, you might finally feel worth something.
but if they do love you in the end, after all of that, after your heart like a fawn opens to gutter under them - you've fooled them, and it isn't worth anything anymore. they've just gone and fallen for it. the love slides right off.
once, you heard a line in a musical about being abandoned. you laughed at the time, unnerved. your voice a keen; too shaky to be candid.
will it ever be enough. will the love ever diffuse through your skin and sink into your marrow. are you even capable of feeling that - of feeling cared for - or are you still waiting, even right now, for the hunter to draw the bow and arrow. if you trust that love, even once, and are wrong, you know exactly what will happen.
and somehow you know - you'll never be able to fix that, once it's been broken.

Obey Me! Set to Silent Mode
Tumblr media
Summary: You have no way to charge your DDD in your very human home. Pairing: None, if you squint it could be read as GN!MC x Mammon Word count: 851 Warnings: angsty goodness, mentioned drinking, mentioned death, spoilers for chapter 16 and i guess chapter 20 A/N: A very short little dabble. I know canon says everyone keeps messaging and calling after MC returns home for the first time, but I like the idea that MC was really cut off from Devildom and has to work their way through it.
Tumblr media
Mammon was promising some terribly stupid business idea for your return when your DDD died. Now it sits on your bedside table, right next to your actual phone. You know, the normal one that used normal, human electricity to connect you to all the people you know and some of the ones you loved. Earthly little pings probed you upon your return- rebirth- some concerned, some angry, but all keen on untangling the story of how you faked your death. Oh, it was like I’ve died and was reborn again, you’d joke over brunch. Your mimosa would sparkle against your lips, the tart sweetness of the orange juice covering the hint of bitterness; bottomless, bottoms up.
Sometimes, in the small hours of the morning, you imagine a devilish glow casting strange shadows across your bedroom wall. They’d dance in the pre-dawn light tempting you with wastefulness, but flee with your dreams as your mind finds your body.
Once you accidentally grabbed it instead of your functional, operational, and relevant human device. You caused something of a minor traffic jam standing in the middle of a busy intersection staring at it. Ruri-chan stares out with a sort of delusional optimism from the confines of her clear acrylic prison while the cross-walk sign blink threateningly. Behind her a Devildom lotto ticket and a coupon for Madam Scream’s Macaroons compete — unsuccessfully— for your attention.
The driver of the gray pickup truck lays on his horn and you skitter to the sidewalk. After a moment you realize you’ve gone the wrong way.
You were late to the psychic’s, but the old woman didn’t seem to mind. The bangles on her wrist jangled as she sits you at her little table in the back room where the sights and sounds of the outside world are caught between layers of velvet and dried eucalyptus. You supposed, in retrospect, that that should’ve been your first warning. No witch worth their cauldron would be caught dead with eucalyptus. She peers at your palm, then your tea leaves, them her cards with gentle scrutiny before surmising you had experienced a great loss. It was enough to knock some tears out of you, but the real crying would happen later, at home, relieved of some $30, burdened by the ever-growing guilt of having left Mammon on read.
Texting 666 on your regular, dinky, human phone did not work. You resisted the urge to throw it against a wall.
Slowly you found psychic visits woven their way into the fabric of your life until every soothsayer and fortune teller became something more than strangers but less than friends. Through the psychics you found the mystics; through the mystics you found witches; through the witches you found despair. A witch’s jealousy to be an ugly thing. They danced around you, play-tracing sigils into your skin and flicking harmless spats of magic into your face. Pact-marked and pigeoned-holed they called you, as useless as you had been before the exchange program. Back home you stared into the mirror, tracing the witch’s sigils on your skin then onto paper. They made for poor art and poorer signs of power laying as dormant as the pact marks scattered across your body.
One day, drowning in a nap-gone-too-long, you imagine Mammon calling for you outside your window; it would be the last time you cried.
Life was less a ride than it was a chariot, dragging you across a bloodied arena for the entertainment of some higher power. Your first order of business was to move your Harrison Porter charm to your keys; looking at it made you feel a little like Alice in Wonderland. Rent was due, so a job was found; then a better one. You counted the bills, paid your debts. You set aside spared bills and change in a little yellow treasure box on your dresser that sat beside a growing collection of nail polish and skincare that never failed to make you feel —dare you say it— pretty. You swam and cursed your way through summer, fostered a sizable clan of cats in the fall, then decided to become a recluse in the winter, watching winter’s stars drape across the sky from the comfort of your home.
The promise of a new life in a new city lured you out from your cave. You went to RAD with so very little, so you decide to part with all but a suitcase of the essentials, then opted for a backpack. The edges of the little yellow treasure chest pressed into your lower back as you hiked your way across the city to a hilly park with a view. Winter still clung to this part of the world; the sparkling of snow was nearly indistinguishable from the steel and glass of skyscrapers; a sky so clear that the horizon retreated into a white nothingness. You soaked in the view, then turned.
At the edge of the outlook a familiar shock of white hair caught your eye. He waves. You could feel the edge of the acrylic Harrison Porter charm, smooth after months of worry.

sticker stars | dainsleif
Tumblr media
❥ — PAIRING dainsleif x gn! reader
❥ — SUMMARY royalty au where dainsleif is the prince and you’re a knight
Tumblr media
You had known Dainsleif since you were children, often running around the castle grounds together because the king thought it unfair for him to miss out on socialising with other kids.
Your father had been working in the castle when the prince was born, around the same time as your own birth. You had been dragged along with your father as soon as you were able to walk and form coherent sentences.
“Say hi, baby,” your father gestured to the blond prince a few feet away from you, trying his best to encourage you from your hiding spot behind his legs.
Dainsleif was scary, staring in silence as you tried to work up the courage to say hello. It had been drilled into your head how important it was for you to be friends with the young prince. What if he hated you?
You took a shaky step forward before sticking your hand out, “hi baby!”
The adults in the room had all snickered, a couple commenting on how ‘that’s so precious’. All the while, you watched as Dainsleif’s cheeks lit up in a deep red hue, eyes unwilling to meet yours.
“You shouldn’t say that to strangers,” he mumbled out, hand connecting with yours in a firm shake.
You had been attached at the hip ever since, your childish naivety and optimism had flawlessly taken down the wall Dainsleif put up to maintain his reputation.
“kids don’t need to have a good reputation,” you had told him during a sleepover in Dains grand bedroom, the walls painted a deep blue and messily accessorised by glow-in-the-dark stars you had gifted the prince, “we’re just meant to have fun, that’s what ‘ma says anyway”.
When your best friend is royalty and your own family has next-to-no social standing, it is inevitable that you would eventually be pulled apart from each other.
In your teen years it became less acceptable for you to wander the castle grounds, your need for adventure being ignored as Dainsleif started to get his own responsibilities. For him it seemed to be work, work, work.
Nobody had ever taken the time to explain why he was so busy, or why it would look bad if people saw a commoner running around with the Prince, hand in hand. One day you had just been denied entry, and that was that.
At the turn of your 17th birthday you had signed up to join the Royal Guard. They were always going up and down the kingdom, travelling and fighting and protecting the people. You’d get to see Dainsleif too, maybe.
You weren’t allowed to be stationed anywhere until you turned 18, so after a 28 week training program you had been tasked with attending daily training sessions and then helping out around the castle grounds. Fun.
After having not seen each other for 5 years, you had ran into Dainsleif with a basket full of dirty laundry, face and hands smudged with soot after having helped the royal smithy. You barely looked at the man, mumbling out an apology before beginning to move away.
It was only when the prince had called out your name that you stopped in your tracks, turning on your heel to meet Dainsleif’s piercing blue gaze.
He was much taller than he had been as a preteen, most likely standing above six feet. His hair had grown out just past his chin, having pulled the longer front pieces into a lazy half-up half-down, giving you sight of his ears adorned with silver jewellery. His expression was blank, eyes fixed on you.
“oh- I’m sorry for bumping into you, your royal highness,” the words felt misplaced on your tongue, having never called him by his title prior, “I’ll be more careful next time.”
"You don’t need to call me that,” his voice was soft and measured, “I didn’t know you were now a member of the knights, but somehow I’m not surprised.”
An awkward chuckle was forced from your lips, hand waving dismissively, “well, I figured that if I can’t run around the huge castle anymore I’d have to make due with running up and down the kingdom,”
The pair of you stood in silence for a moment, staring at each other. There had been so many years lost between you and suddenly you were nearing adulthood, seeing each other as if it were the first time.
“You’ve really grown,” you mumbled, uncomfortable in the silence, “I remember being taller than you last time we spoke.”
“I missed you,” the blond spoke without hesitation, eyes locked onto your own. Although he didn’t continue to speak it was made obvious by his parted lips that there was more he wished to say.
You had never really thought how it might seem from his perspective: your only friend disappearing without a word one day before you were eventually swamped with responsibilities that were much more difficult that the maths you were taught by the governess every morning.
“I didn’t want to stop seeing you, you know?” your words came out as a whisper, taking a cautious step closer in hopes that he would still hear.
“I know,” his volume matched your own, hand leaving his side so he could delicately wrap his fingers around your wrist, gently tugging, “I want to show you something.”
The walk through the castle was silent, your eyes trailing the walls, searching for the changes it had faced since you had last visited. When you were young, the walls had always been pristine but they now bore cracks that crept from the floor to the ceiling. When Dainsleif stopped, you were both stood in front of his bedroom door.
He opened the door to reveal the same deep blue painted on his walls, brand new shelves (well, new as having been put up in the last 5 years made them) filled to the brim with all types of leather-bound books, a bed that had doubled in size and small, plastic stars stuck haphazardly across the room.
As childish as they may have looked, when you both were little you used them to stargaze, having been prohibited from going outside past sunset in order to protect Dainsleif from potential kidnappers - or something of the sort.
“You kept them?”
Dainsleif nodded from his place beside you, a soft smile pulling at his lips,
“they reminded me of you.”

I'm going to send you a second one!
fandom: Sha Hai (again)
character: Wang Meng
prompt: "My boss is..."
WANG MENG!!!!!!! oh this is going to be fun, i haven't taken a crack at him yet.......
-
If there's one thing that Wang Meng has learnt these past years, dogging Wu Xie's heels across the continent and every imaginable inhospitable clime on offer, it's that morals are highly relative, and generally useless when in the business he's unwittingly fallen into—though, to be fair, he supposes that selling tomb goods isn't many degrees up from actually doing the tomb raiding, all things considered—, which is why when he catches the kid—he's been calling him the kid, because honestly, he's not sure he'll last that long, even if Wu Xie seems pretty optimistic, because, honestly, Wu Xie and optimism are things that one should run from these days, and the only reason Wang Meng doesn't is because he's dug himself in too deep—rooting through the pack where Wu Xie stashes his cigarettes, all he does is sigh, and say, "Those are expensive, you know," rather than bother with any of the bullshit about how they'll destroy your lungs.
"Wu Xie smokes them all the time," the kid says, glaring at him mulishly as he finally wrestles the small pack of dongchongxiacao cigarettes from the hidden pocket in the pack that is, probably, not that hidden, if some teen can figure out where it is—Wang Meng will have to mention that to him, when he gets back from his ostensible discussion with Lao Ma about how to enter the tomb beneath their feet—, before almost dropping them from hands are far too clumsy for the false confidence being projected, which makes Wang Meng snort in amusement.
"My boss is..." Wang Meng pauses, trying to think of how to formulate something that doesn't sound like he's spent far too much time with a man who barely even pays him anything, something that would make his schoolmates jeer at him, and then finally settles on, instead, "go take a piss or something, you haven't left the tent all day, kids need sunlight and fresh air," and plucks the carton from his hands, tucks it into his own pocket for safekeeping, and steers the kid towards the tent flap.

Missing scene
The Karate Kid franchise is not about the Kid's mother, I get that. But Lucille LaRusso is quite strongly rendered, and I keep wondering, having first really watched all three films in my thirties -
Daniel blowing his whole college fund on a bonsai shop for Mr. Miyagi, that must have been a bitter pill to swallow. Especially since Cobra Kai wrote it so that business failed.
I'm sure Daniel made the best deal he could with the location, may have made it so Mr. Miyagi had something to retire on.
But think of what it would have cost Lucille to put that money by? The extra shifts, the coupons, the night school, the little luxuries gone without, because her darling boy deserved a chance. So no coffees for Lucille, no haircuts, no night out, other than maybe a work outing. The strategic thrift store finds. The packed lunches, the bill extensions, the endless bargain hunting. The paying each other in favours, the telling herself that she can do this, Lucille, it's only five years until he has his high school and college diploma. She can do this. She must do this.
And then he wants to buy a ticket to Okinawa and she understands, somehow, that this is about her boy's grief over his father, her lost love. And she couldn't stop him, and it's an experience and he says he'll earn it back, there is a whole American army base and... she lets him. Dio mio, but she does.
But the bonsai store.
All these years, away from home, everyone she knew, because she needed to give Daniel a chance, away from all the friends that might go into stuff she wanted him far away from. All that work, the aggressive optimism.
It's the first time she has to forgive him something.
Years later, and Daniel has a good job in sales, and so does Amanda. She's been babysitting Sam, who's been asleep for hours, when Daniel and Amanda return from a night out, because of course she wants them to have that. Amanda goes to check on Sam, and she doesn't want to impose on what hopefully continues to be a romantic evening.
But Daniel sits her down.
"Mama..."
He looks like there's a burden on his shoulders, and immediately, she's worried, but he straightens up.
"Ma. I'm sorry."
She blinks. "What about?"
He swallows. "When I didn't go to college, Ma, you didn't say anything, but I knew you were mad."
She's still a little tender at the memory of her, alone, sobbing in that cheap motel just returned from Newark after Louie's funeral.
Of course Mr. Miyagi had offered her a place in his home, but she couldn't accept it. Because much as she'd hoped that they were both thriving in that store, she could see they weren't. And in her heart of hearts, she thinks Miyagi could have stopped her son, but didn't.
Daniel sighs. "Ma, I thought you couldn't be proud of me like this."
She looks at him, shocked. "I've always been proud of you!"
He licks his lips smiles. "Ma, I understand. I think I really understand. What you did. When I think of Sammy, and what I want for her. What I would do..."
She smiles, cups his cheek. "I knew you would, Tesoro." He falls into her arms, lets himself be held. He's almost never allowed her to hold him like this since he was eight, but now he does. "I'm sorry, Mama," he whispers. "I didn't know."
She holds him close. "You know, part of me was glad you felt safe enough to do something stupid," she says. "About time."
He bristles. "Little Trees was -"
"Not just Little Trees," she says. "Your car, Okinawa, whatever was going on there you still won't tell me about, and then that tournament." She kisses his forehead. "You'd been so responsible for so long. Something had to give."
He sits up. "I swear LaRusso Auto is a good idea," he says.
"I couldn't stop you." When she hears Amanda come downstairs she stands up. "I won't keep you," she says, smiling.
"Good night, you two."
One more hug, a smile, and nothing more needs to be said.

Hi hippo 💕💕💕
Trick or treat!! :)
Hiiii!!!! I wasn't quite sure what to give you for trick or treat so I hope you like it 🌟👻🎃
"Can it wait, Ma? I have to study for a really big test." Eddie holds his breath, fingers curled around the doorknob, while he waits for the answer. "Fine. That's fine. Just make sure you do it before bed!" "Thanks!" He silently pumps his fist in celebration and closes his bedroom door. He supposes he should feel guilty, because the thing is he doesn't have a really big test. Or even a test. What he's got is a burning desire to watch the meteor shower that's supposed to be visible in the next twenty minutes. He knows he's cutting it close while he opens his backpack, pulling out textbooks and his trapperkeeper, but he needs to make his mom believe his white lie. At least his dad is away on business. Eddie replaces stuffs a small telescope in the bag and slings it over his shoulder. He quietly cracks open his bedroom window and climbs out to the small overhang. From there it's a short leap to the gigantic oak tree. He grips the thick branch, moving each hand a little at a time until he's face to face with the trunk and able to drop to the ground. "Oof!" No matter how many times he does this, hitting the roots and dirt always surprises him a little. He dusts off his jeans and starts to make a run for the field behind the house when a voice stops him. "Sneaking out again, little brother?" Sophia. And she's wearing a shit eating grin when he turns around. "Meteor shower tonight. Cover for me if Ma tries to go in my room before I get back?" He looks at her, full of hope and a trust that can only be forged between siblings. "Obviously." She rolls her eyes dramatically in that way that only teenage girls can pull off. "You can pay me back on Friday night for a party I may or may not be attending." Sophia winks before turning to jog towards their front door. Eddie doesn't hesitate to continue his trek. He's only got a few minutes to find the perfect spot and set up. When he thinks he's far enough away from the light, he pulls the telescope from his bag and sets up the tripod. The lens is adjusted for optimal focus and aimed at the correct part of the sky. Now all he has to do is wait.
come trick or treat!!

The Crucial Roles and Responsibilities in the Fish Market Ecosystem
The bustling world of the fish market Dorchester, MA is a complex and interconnected ecosystem, where various players work together to bring the ocean's bounty to consumers worldwide. From fishermen to wholesalers to retailers, each entity in the fish market holds distinct roles and responsibilities that contribute to the overall functioning of this vital industry.
In this blog post, we'll take a closer look at the essential roles and responsibilities within the fish market ecosystem, shedding light on the intricate network that ensures the availability of fresh seafood to households and businesses.
Fishermen: Harvesting the Ocean's Bounty
At the heart of the fish market ecosystem are the fishermen who brave the waters to harvest the ocean's bounty. Their primary responsibility is to catch a variety of fish and other seafood, using their expertise and knowledge of fishing grounds to sustainably procure the freshest catch.
Fishermen play a pivotal role in supplying the initial inventory to the fish market and are essential contributors to the seafood supply chain.
Tumblr media
Fish Auctions and Wholesalers: Streamlining Distribution
After the catch is brought ashore, fish auctions and wholesalers step in to streamline the distribution process. Their roles involve purchasing fish directly from fishermen and then facilitating the sale to retailers and fishmongers.
These entities are responsible for efficiently handling, storing, and transporting the seafood to ensure its freshness is preserved during transit, thus playing a crucial role in connecting the catch with the wider market.
Retailers and Fishmongers: Bringing Seafood to Consumers

IBM Maximo AWS Deployment Strategies
Tumblr media
The Business Value of IBM Maximo, a recent IDC report that surveyed 9 companies with an average of 8,500 employees, found that adopting IBM Maximo resulted in a business benefit of USD 14.6 million per year per organization, 43% less unplanned downtime, and USD 8.6 million in total equipment cost avoidances.
One comprehensive, cloud-based application platform for asset monitoring, management, predictive maintenance, and reliability planning is IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS). Maximo optimizes performance, extends asset lifecycles, and reduces downtime and costs for high-value assets using AI and analytics. Hosting Maximo on a scalable infrastructure maximizes performance, hence the current tendency is to shift it to the cloud. In this trip, MAS migration and deployment on AWS Cloud are gaining popularity.
The growing demand for Maximo AWS Cloud migration
Migrating to cloud helps enterprises improve operational resilience and dependability while updating software with minimal effort and infrastructure constraints. Due to the growing demand for data-driven asset management, firms must aggregate data from diverse departments to identify trends, generate predictions, and make better asset management decisions.
Last April, IBM said Maximo 7.6 and add-on support would stop in September 2025. All Maximo EAM customers must upgrade to the latest cloud-based MAS. Maximo migration and modernization are become increasingly significant to clients.
IBM has released new containerized versions of Maximo Application Suite as a Service (MAS SaaS) on AWS Marketplace with Bring Your Own License (BYOL) to assist Maximo migration to AWS. MAS SaaS on AWS is another milestone in Maximo’s integration of Monitor, Health, and Visual Inspection into a unified suite.
What makes MAS SaaS distinct
IBM Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) specialists use best practices to continuously maintain and administer MAS SaaS, a subscription-based AWS service. This partnership gives customers an industry-leading IBM asset management system underpinned by AWS’s size, agility, and cost-efficiency.
Upgrades and migrations to MAS 8 are possible with MAS SaaS. The data update is similar to prior upgrades, but ROSA and other dependencies require architecture changes. The migration is comparable to how clients transitioned from on-premise to Maximo EAM SaaS Flex, but with MAS changes. Perpetual on-premises customers would stop paying Service & Support (S&S) and purchase a SaaS subscription, on-premises Subscription License customers would start a new subscription, and existing MAS Flex and MAS Managed Service customers would start a new subscription to migrate to MAS SaaS.
Our IBM Consulting Cloud Accelerator (ICCA) technology lets firms plan migration and upgrade strategies before investing.
Maximo migration strategy of a global energy firm
IBM worked closely with an energy company confronting the following challenges:
Infrastructure needed for latest Maximo version takes longer.
WebSphere, Maximo’s core, experienced high-availability and performance difficulties.
Lack of data fabric and integration layer hinders cross-application data interchange.
Complex setup, failures, and security with manual end-to-end deployment.
Since Maximo Application Suite 8 (MAS8) tackles industry issues like failure risk, escalating maintenance costs, sustainability, and compliance laws, the customer chose it. The client chose AWS Cloud for its deployment flexibility, scalability, high availability, and secure architecture.
Approach to solution
This is how IBM accelerated the energy company’s Maximo move to AWS:
Used Infra as a code to upgrade Maximo from 7.6.0.9 to 7.6.1.2.
IaC allowed instance spin-up for auto scaling. This automation reduces the time to spin up and execute the new environment and addresses multi-AWS availability zone deployment latency.
Used AWS DMS for data migration and schema conversion.
IaC spun the DR environment on demand to reduce database replication (DR) infrastructure and expense. DR capabilities update data in availability zone and DR area.
Achieved data exchange across applications using IBM Cloud Pak for Data and standardized integration using IBM Cloud Pak for Integration components.
Solution components
Maximum Enterprise Application Management (EAM) has a 3-tier design with these components:
HTTP/Web Tier and Application Tier using IBM WebSphere and HIS installed EC2 instance under private subnet for application security.
Database Tier uses AWS Oracle RDS with replication for DR under private subnet.
AWS best practices were used to configure VPC with public and private subnets.
Application servers and deployment manager were autoscaled by Auto Scaling Group.
Maximum web-based UI resolution for external access using AWS Route 53.
WAF was the initial line of defense against web exploits.
Integration of Terraform and CFT IaC scripts provided autoscaling architecture.
AWS Reference Architecture
Max on RedHat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA) helps clients
Containerized MAS 8.0 runs on RedHat OpenShift. AWS, IBM, and RedHat developed an IBM MAS on ROSA reference architecture to help customers inexperienced with production containerization. ROSA, a fully managed, turnkey application platform, supports IBM MAS configuration and offloads cluster lifecycle management to RedHat and AWS, allowing organizations to focus on application deployment and innovation. This means IBM MAS clients don’t need to develop, administer, or maintain RedHat OpenShift clusters.
Operating Model and Maximo Migration
Top 3 Maximo AWS migration accelerators
Clients can migrate to the cloud using three IBM MAS deployment methods on AWS Cloud:
ROSA-powered MAS SaaS on AWS
ROSA-powered AWS MAS
Customer-hosted ROSA
Why use customer-hosted ROSA
The customer-hosted ROSA option for hosting IBM MAS in a customer’s VPC with ROSA is powerful. ROSA is perfect for MAS deployments because it seamlessly deploys, scales, and manages containerized applications.
The benefits of this choice are enormous. Full control over the infrastructure while still subject to the organization’s monitoring, controls, and governance standards allows businesses to customize and adjust the environment to their needs. This control includes adding MAS integrations and enforcing cloud security and governance requirements. ROSA charges are combined into one AWS bill and drawn from any AWS enterprise agreement, simplifying financial management.
AWS enterprise agreements and Compute Savings Plans offer infrastructure savings for MAS implementations. Because the ROSA cluster operates under the customer’s AWS account, customers can buy upfront ROSA contracts and get a one-year or three-year ROSA service charge discount.
Why IBM for Maximo AWS migration?
Any modernization effort must include cloud migration. Cloud migration is not a one-size-fits-all method, and each organization faces unique cloud adoption difficulties.
IBM Consulting’s Application Modernization offering helps clients migrate and modernize AWS applications faster, cheaper, and more efficiently, reducing technical debt and accelerating digital initiatives while minimizing business risk and improving business agility.
IBM offers unique cloud migration services to accelerate customer application migration to AWS:
Cloud migration factory capabilities including proven frameworks and processes, automation, migrating templates, security policies, and AWS-specific migration squads speed up delivery.
IBM Garage Methodology, IBM’s cloud services delivery capabilities, ROSA, and AWS Migration tools and accelerators accelerate migration and cloud adoption.
ICCA, IBM’s proprietary framework for migration and modernization, reduces risk. ICCA for AWS Cloud automates various modernization procedures, simplifying and speeding up company agility. Before investing, businesses can plan migration and modernization strategies. Discover IBM Consulting Cloud Accelerator for AWS Cloud.
Our well-defined pattern-based migration methodology includes re-factor, re-platform, and containerization using AWS managed services and industry-leading tools to remove and optimize technical debt.
Finally, IBM offers customizable t-shirt-sized price models for small, medium, and large migration sizes, ensuring clients’ migration scope is obvious.
IBM helps clients migrate applications, like Maximo to AWS Cloud
In conclusion, clients seek IBM’s expertise to:
1.Upgrade Maximo 7.6x (expiring 2025) to MAS 8.
2.On-premise workload to AWS Cloud for elastic, scalable, and highly available infrastructure and runtime
IBM Consulting can help
AWS Premier Partner IBM Consulting accelerates hybrid cloud journeys on the AWS Cloud by leveraging business and IT transformation skills, processes, and tools from many industries. Match Review: Manchester United 1-3 Brighton & Hove Albion
Well fuck. There goes the home game record.
Tumblr media
Following the Arsenal defeat, matches against Brighton and Bayern Munich weren't exactly upcoming points of optimism for United fans. We're in an injury crisis off the back of a busy (perhaps too busy) pre-season and looking laggy and disjointed.
Contrast that with Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton sitting high up in the league, with only a shock counter-attack defeat to West Ham besmirching their name. Today, 5 starters were missing from the first XI and they sold MacAllister and Caicedo in the summer. Surely United could capitalise, right?
The first half started well for United, with a good opening 15 minutes where the Reds could have put themselves ahead. Hojlund looked promising, Rashford was finding space out left, and the midfield was compact and holding possession well, with a generally strong pressing game high up the field.
De Zerbi understood Ten Hag's pressing approach though, and started to drop Pascal Groß deeper and let Veltman push up at RB. This worked and let Brighton break through United for an easy Danny Welbeck goal to make things 1-0. Notably poor marking and tracking from both Casemiro and McTominay on this goal.
United were unlucky not to equalise, with Hojlund slotting home from a Rashford pass, but the assist was judged by VAR to have crossed the goal line and was ultimately ruled out. HT 0-1.
Tumblr media
If the first half was an unfortunate scoreline, the second half was not.
Brighton came out the more positive in the second half and United failed to regain control of the possession, and looked timid on the counter. The lack of a proper RW (not that I miss Antony) meant United saw heavy pressure on Rashford and Hojlund which ultimately stifled their chances.
Rashford perhaps could have done more, and there were a few occasions where fans deemed him greedy rather than servicing his striker, but the lack of a trusted CF will take time to unlearn for Marcus. That relationship with Rasmus will come good.
Unfortunately, it's not good yet, unlike Pascal Groß who decided to send all of our defenders to the shops with a great feint on the edge of the box before burying a 2nd goal for Brighton.
From here the game felt all Brighton, and this is where I put blame on the manager. Hannibal came on for the lacklustre Casemiro, which was a solid move, but Eriksen was left on (for the full match) despite being a slow, heart risk 31 year old, and so too was Scott "I don't like to play possession football" McTominay. This is a big part of why I personally wanted McSauce sold in the summer - he does not suit Ten Hag Ball and it's a big issue. He is a talented player, and shining for Scotland, but like Maguire he needs to move to a club that plays a system which suits his skill set and style.
Unfortunately Brighton's subs also paid off and saw João Pedro score a 3rd and Barcelona loanee Ansu Fati almost bag a 4th. Confidence at 0-2 amongst defenders was not high, and it felt like United missed Aaron Wan Bissaka at RB today vs Mitoma and Lamptey.
Tumblr media
Props to Hannibal Mejbri who, bar a clumsy yellow card, had a very solid performance and scored United's consolation goal, but it's a game where it's very difficult to find players to praise.
Ten Hag's late substitutions of Pellistri and Garnacho for McTominay and Reguilon felt like too little, too late. They also meant that for the last 5 minutes (+ 6 stoppage too) Bruno Fernandes had moved from RW to CB. Madness.
I won't blame ETH for resting Hojlund, despite the crowd's protestations and boos, because ultimately the lad's returning from an injury and trying to find match fitness. Steady as it goes on that front, and especially with so much promise and the Bayern game coming up. It's just a shame, because Martial as his replacement was pretty useless - as per usual.
Had United capitalised on the early pressure, maybe the game is different. If Ten Hag responded to De Zerbi's tactical tweaks, maybe the game is different. If Ten Hag made the winger substitutions earlier, maybe the game is different. If Mount/Amrabat/Mainoo were fit then the game is definitely different. This is the problem though: there's so many ifs, buts and maybes, but the cold hard fact is that United were outplayed and deservedly beaten at home.
Next up: Bayern Munich away. We can only pray that their draw with Leverkusen in the Bundesliga has hit morale a bit and that United turn up eager to make amends / prove a point against a fellow big club. Defeat isn't awful, but we have to show improvement, desire, and cohesion. Today looked like 11 individuals thrown together, and our best player was a loanee LB from Spurs, closely followed by the youngest player on the pitch. Hardly awe-inspiring stuff.
