What perfumes do the HL boys wear, by a complete perfume lover who is not an expert.

Hello there. I have been inactive for too long. Ever since my label as a scent witch by @pandanscafanfiction and being bullied by @tennoujinerin to post this, here it is. What perfumes I think the HL boys would wear:

I know I have done this before but after some revision and seeing how each character has been developed, lo and behold my new choices.

Sebastian Sallow:

Ah, the one who stole our hearts at first when we played the game. I chose Cedarwood as his main scent note for it's association with healing and death. Sebastian is an all rounder, not the type to have multiple bottles, one scent will do the job. Burberry's Hero, YSL's La Nuit De La Homme and Margiela Replica's Whispers in the Library (I chose this on purpose) have Cedarwood as it's note

Ominis Gaunt:

Ominis is upper class but it doesn't strike me as someone who wants to shout his status. It is a kind of scent that is subtle but you know it comes from the upper class. For that I chose Leather fragrances as it usually wears slowly on the skin, but on the right person it comes across as a quiet strong person. Gucci's Guilty Absolute, Dior's Fahrenheit and Margiela Replica's Jazz club are a great reflection of this.

Garreth Weasley:

As a potioneer who relies on his nose a lot, Garreth wouldn't see the point of wearing perfume. At best he would just need something that smells clean and fresh, but I added some citrusy notes for his fun loving nature. For that Chanel's Allure Homme Sport and Dior Homme Cologne would do the trick. To get is attention, choose a scent that sits close to the skin in an almost intimate level that would turn his head, such as Margiela Replica's Lazy Sunday Morning.

Leander Prewett:

For Leander I actually went for "Annoying" fragrances at first but seeing how he has been developed into the fandom, I rearranged for scents that are fresh with a twist. I wanted something that comes across as a people pleaser but there is the note that you can't put your nose to it (It's Rosemary) that makes you take a second sniff. For that, Armani's Aqua Di Gio Porfumo, Bvlgari's Aqva pour Homme and Issey Miyake's Fusion d'Issey are my picks.

Amit Thakkar:

I really wanted to pay homage to India for Amit, as India is the land where scents are used quite frequently in daily life. I chose a sandalwood perfume (Diptyque's Tam Dao) for it's usage in the worship of the Hindu Gods and Goddess, Cardamom (D&G The One) for it's usage in food and Saffron ( Penhaligon's Babylon) for the colour worn by Hindu Priests ( it symbolic of Sunsets/Sunrise and healing, apparently).

Andrew Larson:

I am amazed at the headcanons for Andrew but I digress he doesn't smell like herbs. Instead I chose Juniper Berries! Is this an odd choice? Of course, but considering it's freshness yet spicy notes with medicinal properties (not to mention it being found in most parts of the globe) it is a timeless scent. I tried my best to find scents that are light, something not too strong as it will need to sit close to the skin. Take a peek with Blvgari's Glacial Essence, Gucci's Guilty Cologne Pour Homme and Penhaligon's Juniper Sling.

-Konig smells of fresh forest rain or winter sierra mountains

- Would smell of very ambery mint or a very woody sage

- Showered in a herby and earthy aroma like eucalyptus or lavender

- He smells of strong notes of sandalwood or fresh ocean breeze

- Has a lingering smell of smoke that doesn’t overbear his manly musk

Trigun and Perfume: A Headcanon 🥸

summary: Roulette through the Macy's Perfume Aisle! What's YOUR favorite character's perfume smell?

A/N: i said i was gonna make a headcanon post about trigun and perfumes didn't i 🥸 i had fun actually putting my frequent times smelling the perfumes at the Macy's perfume section to wORRKKKKKKK,,, have i smelled all of the perfumes listed before? yes, my friends and I are fiends for perfumes hehehe so we usually gift them out for birthdays or holidays. maybe i'll make another post that includes knives, roberto, zazie, etc. but I'll have to go perfume smelling for them. Enjoy!~

Vash The Stampede

Dior Sauvage Elixir

top notes: Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cardamom, Grapefruit

-Vash would totally wear this perfume my top headcanon

-I can see Vash not being a fan of overall too sweet scents, but just a tad bit.

-This is his main perfume to any occasion,,,,loves that people can recognize he was there by just his smell heellloooooooooo? o//o

-He runs through this like crazy, but he does have the mini version!

My notes: This perfume starts off with a woody, musky and earthy scent at the first spray but as it settles, it leaves a very honey-like faint after-smell that makes the knees jelly. How wonderful for the Humanoid Typhoon! pheromones whoooooo :P

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

Versace Man Eau Fraîche

top notes: White Lemon, Rose Wood, Carambola

base notes: musk, amber, sycamore wood

-I can see Wolfwood lean more towards the woody yet aromatic/clean scents.

-Settles in well with his skin, giving the perfume a better twist with his own smoky/natural musk scent and the clean/fresh scent of the toilette mixing.

-Sprays once in a while, he's kinda broke :/ but it's okay! The bottle is a pretty nice size so it lasts a pretty long time!

-I didn't give him any deep musk scent bc mf already kinda has that smoker scent he's on his 100th pack atp

My notes: This scent delivers a faint musk smell but honestly it kinda reminds me of what the woods would smell like but amplified 2x if they were by a waterfall.

So moreover, if water smelled like a man. But honestly, I like this scent, it doesn't burn the nose like other man colognes/perfumes. Touché Undertaker!

Meryl Stryfe

Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Giolia

top notes: Lemon, Jasmine, Cedarwood

-Meryl is more of a fresh scent kinda person and this is that scent.

-It smells like peace tbh, and Meryl finds the fresh airy scent to it very comforting in the sudden chaos and trouble that always surrounds Milly and her.

-gets the smell of gun powder out of her nose palette.

my notes: if you're into very fresh scents that remind you of the nice scent of the sandy beaches or honestly like summer you'll like this one! Personally, this kinda reminds me of a freshly cut green cantaloupe(very specific hehe)

The tint of jasmine and lemon touches when you smell it give the calming effect it focuses on. Very Nice! Has to constantly rebuy bc she loses the bottle often

Milly Thompson

YSL Black Opium The Original

top notes: Black Coffee, White Flowers, Vanilla

-TOTALLY A MILLY SMELL

-LEGIT SMELLS LIKE A SOFT CARAMEL CANDY

-It's a very warm and sweet mix that I think she'll love smelling on her clothes and just generally the tint of vanilla in it.

-Honestly smells like flan,, or caramelized sugar :)

-tbh its my next perfume purchase They say it has coffee in it but it doesn't smell like it.

-I was torn between this perfume and the pink or green Burberry Her for Milly (the pink one smells like sweet strawberry yogurt and the green one smells like those lil containers of jellies that had little fruit pieces in them if you know you know) yes i have both of them

-But i found this to be a more fitting smell for her!

-Steal her jacket and it smells like Vanilla extract in the best way

My Notes: With a very caramel and vanilla smooth smell, this perfume leaves behind quite the scent of sugar and spice! A very sensual yet playfully smell of autumn! Nice taste Milly!

OHHH MY GOD i can’t remember what scent it was but we got some new gucci perfumes at my store recently and it smelled EXACTLYY like nanami, when i go in tomorrow i’ll try and look for it :3

yuki 100% smells like black opium from YSL (my go to it smells like a sexy tall woman with a fat ass)

nobara 10000000000% wears burberry her are u kidding it’s so girly and yummy

maki prob wears the gucci flora gorgeous jasmine, it smells really clean, and pretty floral but not super super feminine

toji absolutely smells like creed adventus it’s so spicy and masculine, smelling it is like a punch to the face in the best way

a good scent for geto might be haramain amber oud if it was a LIIIIIITLE more citrusy smelling

last but not least i think gojo occasionally wears kenneth cole mankind unlimited it’s ur very standard nice, expensive smelling man fragrance

I've become obsessed with perfume so I'm going to ramble about it on my blog to my captive audience, as you do. Sorry to anyone who is here for consistent fandom posting, but I do warn people in my sidebar. :'))

I've worn V&R Flowerbomb as my go-to fancy "I'm an adult who wears PERFUME now!" perfume after my dad gifted me a large 100mL bottle (and eventually a 50mL refill for a later birthday) of it... probably around 2014 or 2015? It's a nice, popular fragrance and Russian people consider perfume and cologne to be a standard thing to use, so it made me feel very nice about myself. I also had a 10mL vial of Banana Republic's Rosewood as an evening scent, which I recently googled and realized is very inexpensive for how much I enjoyed the smell of it, but I haven't seen it in a couple of years.

I know I used to think Flowerbomb was very warm and sweet and flowery, but at some point in the past few years I started basically tasting it in the back of my throat in an unpleasant, scrapey way, so with 25mL of it left in my last bottle, I decided to get a new perfume! And promptly fell down the r/fragrance rabbit hole.

Anyway, I've made three trips to two different Sephoras to stand around sniffing perfume until I go nose-blind and nauseated.

THE RESULTS (aka. I'm very vanilla, but Not Like That):

YSL Black Opium Over Red: An evening or cold-season scent that made me want to autocannibalize my own arm when I tried it out on myself. I've read that the original Black Opium is a very popular scent, but in my opinion it was missing something fruity or fresh, and the Over Red flanker's cherry note is exactly what it needed. I thought I liked floral perfumes more than gourmands but it turns out that I'm just a sucker for vanilla. I bought this for full freaking retail price because apparently it's a 2024 release. I guess I'm trendy now.

MJ Daisy Eau So Intense: A sweet honey-strawberry perfume for a spring or summer day that makes me want to go eat a pear. There are a lot of fruity-floral perfumes out there, but this one stood out and wrapped its strawberry-and-pear scented fingers into my grey matter when I first tried it and made me think of childhood summer vacation. This also has base notes of vanilla, though I wouldn't have been able to identify that without looking it up. Thankfully, this one I was able to get at something like 60% off retail price.

Burberry Her Elixir: Berries, jasmine, amber. This is the daily-wear all-arounder I was looking for to actually replace my Flowerbomb. It's suitable for any time of year or day, as long as I spray it somewhere I can smell it all the time because otherwise I'm going to be that weirdo sniffing their own wrist constantly. It is also the final nail in the "Yeah, okay, I'm obsessed with vanilla" coffin because it turns out that's in this one, too. (And the final nail in the coffin of my wallet because this one also wasn't available from discounters.) Also, the atomizer on this one is flawless.

Anyway, now I smell very nice all of the time. I might get one more if I can find a very rose-scented perfume that has vanilla in it instead of smelling like the color green if it was wet, but otherwise I feel like I'm set!

🧡 Takao

He is the friend who always saves you, the one to whom you don't have to say anything and who understands you on the fly, the one who takes care of you without ever taking himself too seriously or even taking credit. Ironic, intelligent, charismatic and deeply good and protective, he is the playful version of Shin-chan, his perfect sidekick (and vice versa). When I think of him I think of a summer toast, mojitos, bare feet in the sand, the comfort of a hug around a campfire. My choice for him is a citrusy but non-trivial cologne, with the accent of mint and the warmth of liquor, let the party begin!

Guerlain Homme- Guerlain -> Mojito, citrus, ventiver

💜 Himuro

One of the most sensitive characters in the whole series, but also one of the most melancholic, in my opinion. He experiences the same discomfort as Taiga in the opposite way, in silence and almost caring for Musakibara, because he is a giver.

But then he tries to hide everything under a tough exterior, just like his little American brother. The image I associate with him is that of the praline, which has a chocolate shell on the outside protecting a smooth heart (it's a bit funny Himuro praline, I know). I think he would love a perfume a little smoky or with leather notes but with a warm heart, an alpha male fragrance, because like Taiga, he has to disguise himself and be brave.

A*Men Pure Havane -Thierry Mugler -> tobacco, honey, cocoa, amber

💙 Kasamatsu

Yukio is sexy. He can't help it, he can act tough all he wants, but in my opinion there isn't a girl at Kaijo who hasn't given it a thought. Reflective, deep, committed but always in for a good laugh, a born leader but also someone who doesn't want to make others worry, and in my opinion he suffers a lot on his own, as I said here. He plays the guitar so I know he's incredibly romantic as well, wothout losing his rocker guy appeal. He reminds me of the beauty in the everyday things, a ray of sun hitting the room and creating a magic setting, a unexpected kiss, a tight hug. I think he'd love something clean, direct but wholesome like this one where the fresh bergamot meets the sparkling pepper and the soothing woods.

Enigmatic, shy, seemingly disinterested in what is said about him or to him but actually very careful that no one underestimates him or treats him without respect. He has little presence, but in a different way from Tetsu, a little more passive if I may say so. I associate him with the sea in winter, partly because of its colors, partly because like the sea he seems still but in reality he is always moving. I chose a scent I know well because I use, which smells like saltiness on a cold day.

(favorite perfumes that i only get to wear on occasion ((though that will soon be changing and you're telling me i can smell nice every single day????)) that no one asked for but I'm sharing anyway because its my blog and i can:

-Versace, Bright Crystals- this is my favorite perfume for spring. its so light. it's floral based but does have a pinch of musk to it so its not super sweet, or super old-lady ish, and is warmer while still being fun.

-Gucci, Guilty-- warm warm warm, sexy sexy, im a night out, and I'm so hot. this is a nighttime perfume and has been my favorite since like...2k12/13. again warm florals. its not vanilla based at all, and just is deep and sensual

-Dior, Absolutely Blooming-- again, with the florals. do we see a trend here? i will say this one is STRONG and the strongest florals. I usually wear this one to weddings! events!

-Dolce&Gabbana, Light Bleu- this one smells like a cologne, without being a cologne. warmest, muskiest, but has a hint of fruity in it. LIKE A HINT.

-Burberry, HER- London Dream- also the 2nd muskiest ones. I literally feel like...industrial when i wear this. lemon and roses. its divine. Cara Delevingne, 10/10.

Yay!!! I’m so glad you like my stuff!! Also yessss I do take requests and I would love an excuse to talk about fragrance! My credentials are I worked at Sephora for a year and a half and I spent a lot of time on the frag wall huffing every single bottle. As a general thing I’m very obsessed w genderless, warm spicy scents so that will be reflected in this post.

Jack: By The Fireplace by Replica was my gut reflex for Jack as soon as I saw this ask. I think he’d really love the woody notes and I think he’d also like it because he has the vibes of someone who smells like a campfire in general. A quick side note, I don’t think he’d wear fragrance too much and I think Normally he would smell like Gillette shaving cream. Also heads up, Replica will be over represented on this list because I love all their frags

Sam: not a perfume by Juliette has a gun. One of my personal favourite frags bc it has no base scent really it j mixes w ur body’s natural PH. I think she’d like it because it’s entirely unique to her and also because the brand name Juliette has a gun totally speaks to her

Daniel: Either Jazz Club or Coffee Break both by replica. I really think he’d go for a heavy musky scent as frags like that tend to be both timeless and classy. I think he’s definitely the type to consider names when he buys frags too, so these town seem perfect for him. Also as I’m writing this I am HUFFING Jazz Club like I’m fucking Jeremy Fragrance.

Teal’c: I desperately want him to smell like Carbon by Prada. I think he’d be super into the earthy scents but not the warm earthy. Just a nice cool kind of scent but still heavy. Overall, idk if Teal’c would be 100% into frags but this is my vision.

Janet: Chanel #5 100%. I think Janet would in general go for a light, barely there scent. It’s for that reason that I think she’d go for an eau de toilette as opposed to a full on perfume bc I think she would want it to wear off a bit quicker than normal in case she gets called into work (I’d imagine the infirmary is a scent free environment)

Jonas: THIS MAN HAS 1 MILLION FOR THE MEME!!!! I don’t think he cares about notes or anything I genuinely think that he saw a bar of gold on the Jeremy Fragrance “SEXY SWEET YUMMY” clip and just added it to cart lmao

Vala: when I first saw this ask I had so many ideas for vala that I think she would just be a fragrance addict. Like obviously Black Opium crossed my mind bc I do really think she’d like a heavier scent BUT I also thought about Miss Dior for a bit of a softer more floral moment. Then, I immediately was brought to Burberry Her for a more fruity floral. And, obviously, because she’s Vala, she would 1000% have a vast collection of Victoria’s Secret body sprays. Anyway I think she would have YSL Black Opium as her signature scent but she would be at Sephora every other weekend trying out a new roller ball.

Cam: Dior Sauvage enjoyer and not because he likes it but because it’s what he was told he should like. If I were to pick a fragrance for him, I would stay away from the warmer scents and actually go for something a bit lighter and fresher. I would probably steer him towards Gentleman by Givenchy bc I really think of him as more of a fresh and clean kind of guy as opposed to such a heavy and smell-him-before-you-see-him Sauvage type of guy. Idk I think Cam would walk into my Sephora I would also guide him to Sailing Day by Replica for that fresh goodness.

General Hammond: Tom Ford Noir Extreme. Not only can he afford it but I think he’d really like Tom Ford as a brand. General Hammond seems like he’d go for more earthy and woody scents that can air on the side of overwhelming. Also he seems like he’d like sandalwood but not know it’s called sandalwood. Unrelated I think he’d be a really good client at Sephora and we’d all love helping him. He would have a beauty insider account so he can get points for his grand daughters.

Apophis: Dior Sauvage (Derogatory). Look, to my core I am a hater towards this frag. Everything about it gives me the ick. I knew what Sauvage clients were like in the store and I knew men who wore Sauvage everyday. They were both unpleasant groups of people who bought it because Johnny Depp was the face of the line. Obviously this is a perfect pick for Apophis.

Yup, she does love to wear perfume. Her preferred types are fresh or sweet ones, nothing too cloying. She also likes to buy those bodysprays that are not as expensive, and sprays them EVERYWHERE. Her fav scents are Burberry Her, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, YSL Mon Paris, Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet, and PDM Delina.

What kind of sense of humor do they have? Or do they have one at all?

She kinda laughs at everything... Her humor is also a bit on the darker side. Lowkey enjoys the misfortune of others, to the point that she sometimes can't stop laughing when, for example, other people fall down and the movements seemed funny to her. Also she tends to laugh when others don't see anything funny in a situation, it's not rare that she manages to notice something that amuses her.

How would they want to die?

Her dream is to be bitten and sucked to death in a luxurious, dark draped victorian bedroom, by a sexy & mysterious vampire that she previously had a fling with (yes, she watches way too many movies).

Do they learn from their mistakes?

I'd say, no. She tries to not repeat something again if it was a fail, but even if she tries to approach the situation differently, it most likely ends up the same way again.

which... burberry perfume ...was it....

this show took place back in 2007 and i'm comfortable assuming it's a men's cologne so, that leaves us with four lines (not differentiating between edt or edp, )--

1) burberry for men

2) burberry brit

3) burberry london

4) burberry touch

burberry touch came out in 2000, and isn't a particularly iconic fragrance from them, so we will rule that one out for now. burberry for men came out in 1995, so it is also out of the running.

that leaves brit and london — I don’t think Stephane is above following fashion trends and according to this forum, burberry london was the most popular perfume of 2006, which makes it the most likely culprit.
