On Saturday, November 2023, the Greek soprano Sonia Theodoridou accompanied by six modern Greek Caryatids, dressed in ancient Greek dresses, entered the British Museum to meet the Caryatid of the Erechtheum of the Acropolis of Athens, abducted by Lord Elgin.

Many of the people who were in the halls of the British Museum began to cry, while the security of the British Museum, which was initially hostile to the protest of the Greek women, then changed its attitude and became friendly, as we read on Sonia Theodoridou's Facebook page.
The soprano Sonia Theodoridou accompanied by six beautiful Greek women dressed in white, as other Caryatids, entered the British museum in search of their lost "sister", causing the interest of both tourists and those visiting the museum at that time.
People pulled aside to pass. Everyone was wondering what was going on. Even the museum officials. As soon as they realized that they were searching in silence for the sixth Caryatid, since they could not find her, they themselves led them to her.

Pallas Athena and the Herdsman's Dogs by Briton Rivière
Then drew she nigh, in shape a stately dame,
Graced with all noble gifts of womanhood:
None save Odysseus saw her; for to few
Of mortal birth the gods reveal themselves.
But the dogs knew her coming, and with whine
And whimpering crouched aloof.

Red Jasper Sealstone Intaglio of Heroic Antonius.
Roman c 40-30BC
L: 1.40 cm/W: 1 cm
An exceptionally clear profile portrait, with long, tousled hair, the locks carefully delineated and no beard. The nose is hooked, the slightly open mouth downturned and the chin prominent. The features resemble those of Mark Antony on some of his coin portraits, and the bust ends at the neck.

Princess Anne's antique diamond star brooch
Tumblr media
The brooch has been in Princess Anne’s jewelry collection for more than half a century. She began wearing it around 1970, the year she turned 20.
The brooch is designed as a six-pointed star. One of the star’s points is slightly longer than the others. Six diamond brilliants are arranged around the star on a knife’s edge setting. A second six-pointed star is mounted atop the main portion of the brooch, with a diamond brilliant set in its center. To my knowledge, the provenance of Anne’s star brooch has never been revealed, but its design is typical of pieces from the Victorian era.

And above those tiers are the fine art horses - the bisques, the porcelains, the ceramics, the stonewares, the bronzes. But no one is mad enough to collect those. You save up to buy one or two and then you die :')
