Well... Duh. Despite them being considered more of a rarepair in fandom (despite it being basically the second most popular Koushirou ship out there besides Koumi), they are actually one of the most developed, most elaborated relationships in the entirety of the Digimon Adventure canon, regardless of which version you want to take a look at: 01, 02, (especially) Our War Game, the novels, the PSP game, the stageplay, the reboot and, to some lesser degree but still palpable, Tri and Kizuna. They're set up as "brawns and brains", the brave hands-on protagonist who always asks his knowledgable strategist for advice, relies on and trusts in him without a shred of doubt, whereas said strategist would also follow him to hell and back, despite sometimes having to shout at him for being too reckless. Without Taichi, Koushirou wouldn't have gone to Summer Camp - and without Koushirou, Taichi would never have figured out a way for them to get back to the real world. They complement each other in their strengths and weaknesses, they may butt heads occasionally, but they're there for each other as good friends and comrades. So that is a very clear YES.

Whether I think why and how they’d work:

Since they're my absolute Digimon OTP, I do believe that they work out very well - not only have I already outlined why they're basically best friends in canon and thus work out nicely in a platonic friendship, but there's also a lot of aspects about them that make me adore them romantically as well. You just take the jock/nerd trope and flip them completely over the head - so you get a very kind football dork, who loves to take care of youngsters and immediately grows attached to the computer nerd who came into his club and is not very good at social interaction - yet. What happens? They become super good, if not best friends, the nerd is getting enabled to become just as much of a hands-on person as the jock, opens up more and more through the course of them spending time in a foreign world together and with the other kids as well, they solve puzzles and riddles together as partners in crime while displaying a sense of unshattered loyalty towards each other. There may be instances, as mentioned, where they butt heads because they're not able to talk about feelings well with each other, but they're still there to support and sacrifice themselves for one another, saving several worlds several times in the face of death and it's just... It gets to me. Tri probably realized that, after Our War Game, these two would probably be unstoppable if they really worked together, which is likely the reason why they didn't let them interact THAT much during their teenager years - however, the connections never really faded. Koushirou watched Taichi throughout all these years, he’s the only one who really knows about his childhood trauma, would always have his back and sacrifice himself for his sake - the boy who once reached out a hand to him at football club. And Taichi, no matter how much he'd isolate himself from everyone emotionally, will always trust in Koushirou in return - the boy who had been by his side through thick and thin, the person who saw him cry his heart out. To me, it's just a wonderful concept to have these two fall for each other romantically as well, as they just seem to be endlessly loyal - ending up working together one day, because their careers just seem DESTINED to be linked with each other (and the Digital World, which will always bring them together).

Whether I’d prefer them as platonic or romantic ship:

As pointed out above, I actually do enjoy both variants - in a universe in which these two end up falling in love with each other and overcoming all their oblivious nut-ness, realizing that that make each other better AND happy once they FINALLY open up to each other, I would cry tears of happiness. However, if I ended up getting a universe in which they'll always remain close friends until they're old and grey, working together while being married to other people (like Taichi being married to Sora or maybe even Yamato for that matter - and Koushirou being married to Hikari or Mimi), I would be perfectly happy as well.

Maybe he'd made a mistake, all those years ago.

Tadashi quietly set a cup of tea down in front of Ainosuke, taking in the younger man's exhausted expression, one that would never be shown outside his private rooms. His hard work during his campaigning had finally paid off, but now he had even more work to do as he reviewed bills and tried to draft new ones that would eventually play to his family's advantage. In the eyes of the world, he was a political prodigy and unquestionably successful.

But he almost never smiled anymore.

At least, not genuinely. He smiled almost every day as he answered calls from his constituents and spoke at press conferences and appeared at other photo ops. His smiles then looked real enough, a dazzling grin that turned up the corners of his eyes or a more modest, bashful curve of his lips that heightened the charm of the young, inexperienced legislator. Tadashi was probably the only one who could see behind those charming masks, but that was only because he'd seen Ainosuke before, when he was younger… when he'd actually been happy. The last time Tadashi had seen that uninhibited joy on the other man's face had been before he'd been sent to America. Before the incinerator had turned his childhood and his happiness, along with his skateboard, to ash.

"Thank you, Tadashi." Ainosuke glanced up from his documents to give him a quick, weary smile before picking up a folder and offering it to the older man. "Can you help me double-check the sections I've marked on this one to make sure I haven't missed anything?"

"Of course, sir."

Tadashi accepted the folder, sitting down across from his master and starting to flip through the pages, scanning the indicated sections and reviewing Ainosuke's notes in the margins. Then, picking up a pencil from the cup on Ainosuke's desk, he lightly began to mark a few of his own thoughts and suggestions. The two of them worked in silence, interrupted only by the quiet scratch of their writing and the occasional sound of Ainosuke taking a sip of his tea.

After he'd finished with the first document, Tadashi neatened up the edges before slipping it back into the folder and taking the next without any prompting. In all honesty, Ainosuke was doing far more work than he needed to—most of his colleagues had their team of assistants review everything and give them summaries—but he insisted on it, so Tadashi would do whatever he could to support him. His own work would be easier if he'd accepted Ainosuke's proposal to hire a few more secretaries… but then his master wouldn't have anywhere that he could relax, out of the public eye. They had a political team for everything else, of course, but this work was only done by the two of them. A little discomfort of Tadashi's own was a small price to pay, especially when Ainosuke was working even harder on this than he was.

He'd nearly caught up when Ainosuke sighed, closing another folder before leaning back in his chair and stretching his arms over his head. Instantly, Tadashi looked up from his own file, his eyes flicking toward the empty teacup before fixing on Ainosuke's face.

"More tea, sir?" he asked politely, but Ainosuke shook his head.

"Not now. I'd like to take a short nap before the afternoon session, but I'll need a pillow."

Walking around his desk, he offered a hand to Tadashi. After a moment's hesitation, Tadashi took it, letting himself be pulled to his feet. Ainosuke tugged the half-finished documents out of his hands, laying them down on the desk, before leading him over to the couch. Obediently, Tadashi sat down on it, and then Ainosuke lay down, resting his head against the other man's thigh while still holding onto his hand. His thumb brushed slowly over the back of Tadashi's hand while his eyes closed. The gentle caress didn't stop, though, suggesting that he was having trouble falling asleep, and Tadashi's free hand reached up to comb through his hair. His own fingers pressed gently against Ainosuke's scalp with a soothing pressure, trying to help him relax, and Ainosuke sighed again.

"You've always been here for me," he murmured, and Tadashi made a soft sound of agreement. It was the least that he could do for the other man, though he wished that he could do more. Ainosuke deserved better than this, and more than once, Tadashi had wondered what his master's life would have been like if he'd been born to a different family. One whose "love" was expressed through more than sharp words and nearly impossible expectations. One where he could make his own choices, rather than follow a path that had been laid out for him. One that might not have been able to provide him with the same resources and opportunities… but someone as brilliant and talented as Ainosuke surely wouldn't have needed them, either.

The younger man was too dazzling to languish in this cage with clipped wings. Since his return from America, Tadashi had watched his passion gradually fade as he became perfect: the perfect politician, the perfect son, the perfect man. But in the process, he was forced to bury himself, reflecting only what others wanted to see.

"Do you…" Tadashi hesitated again, wondering if he was making another mistake. Would it be better to leave the past in the past? He didn't want to hurt Ainosuke… and he wasn't sure how they would react, either.

"What is it?"

Looking down at his lap, Tadashi saw that Ainosuke's eyes were open, staring up at him. The intense, scarlet gaze seemed to be piercing into Tadashi's very soul, and the older man swallowed hard.

"It's… it's nothing," he stammered, his heart jolting when Ainosuke frowned.

"What is it?" he repeated, starting to sit up. "Tadashi, what's wrong?"

"No, I'm sorry. Forget about it. You need to rest," Tadashi protested, trying to push Ainosuke back down. The spark of curiosity in ruby eyes suddenly blossomed into a fierce determination, and Ainosuke surged up, pressing their still-interlaced hands against Tadashi's chest to pin him to the couch.

"Tell me," he insisted. Tadashi was too frazzled to come up with a lie on the spot, and he licked his lips as he tried to arrange his thoughts into some sort of logical order.

"Do you… do you want to see Nanjo-san and Sakurayashiki-san again?" he asked softly. The light in Ainosuke's eyes immediately faded as he sat back, his sudden intensity just as quickly lost.

"I can't."

"If they were the same as they were seven years ago, maybe… but I've taken the liberty of looking them up," Tadashi explained carefully, still unsure of whether he was doing the right thing. "Nanjo-san owns his own restaurant, and Sakurayashiki-san is making a name for himself as a master calligrapher. If we were to organize, say, a fundraiser, we'd need catering and appropriate decorations… And, of course, that would involve detailed negotiations with each of the parties…"

He watched Ainosuke's face change as hope crept into it, lending it a slightly vulnerable cast that Tadashi hadn't seen in years. Not since they were children, playing together in the gardens.

"Do you think they'd agree to it?" Ainosuke asked, his voice just as quiet. Tadashi couldn't lie to him, not about something as important as this, so he shrugged slightly.

"I don't know," he admitted. "But if you'd like to try, I can start making inquiries and seeing if they are amenable to it. I promise you, I'll do my best—"

He was startled when Ainosuke suddenly threw himself at him, wrapping his arms around Tadashi's shoulders to hug him tightly.

"That would be incredible! Thank you, Tadashi!"

After a moment, Tadashi raised his own arms, supporting Ainosuke to make sure he wouldn't fall when he let go. His own heart felt lighter as his worries eased. There was still the chance that the other two men weren't interested in rekindling their relationship, but at least in this moment, Ainosuke was happy again.

Charlie is more ticklish in the typical areas but if you get your hands in Tao's armpits that boy is sCREWED! He is more ticklish there than anyone else on the planet.

What kind of tickles are they sensitive to? Charlie gets giggly and snorts sometimes when he's tickled softly, and Tao is a sucker for the rougher type of tickles.

Which role (lee/ler) does each of them hold? Charlie is a lee unless it's with Nick (cause he loves making that labrador in human clothing laugh), and Tao is definitely a Ler-Leaning switch (and was Charlie's main ler before Nick came along).

How did they discover each others’ ticklishness? Both were actually because of Elle. Tao found out about Charlie first when he saw Elle tickling him and became addicted to teasing the poor kid any chance he got. Charlie found out about Tao some time later at one of their famous movie nights. Tao was tickling Charlie relentlessly as usual, and Elle nonchalantly mentioned that he could just tickle Tao back. This was both to tease Tao about being ticklish, and also to sliiiightly make fun of how much it seemed like Charlie liked getting tickled by Tao (I have a huge headcanon that Charlie is a massive lee).

Who’s more likely to instigate a tickle fight? From the outside it looks like Tao just attacks Charlie any chance he gets. But it's always Charlie that does something to subtly hint at Tao that he's in the mood for some tickles.

How often do they tickle each other? All. The. Damn. Time. It is constant with these two - mostly Tao tickling Charlie

Who’s the least likely to ask for tickles? Charlie will NEVER ask, but he will hint frequently. Tao doesn't want tickles nearly as frequently but when he does he gets just as shy and embarrassed (but is slightly better at asking for them).

1. What are your top 3 favorite sets you’ve made?

This is such a tough question because having to choose three sets out of everything that I've ever made?! I've made hundreds of gifsets in different fandoms, how could I possibly choose only three?

Okay, okay, here goes:

JJ/Emily from Skins UK. I thought they were so cute and I just really like my coloring here. :3 I really miss this show and I keep thinking about making new Skins (gen 2) gifs every once in a while.

Sarge/Cleo from Cleopatra 2525. This remains one of my all-time favorite sets because a) it took me several hours to make it b) it was actually my first 2-gifs-in-1-canvas set ever and c) again, I just really like my coloring here. :)

Billy in purple. My favorite boy in one of my favorite colors. :) I just really, really like this one.

8. What gif trend do you hate?

I can't exactly remember what year it was when people used to make those colorless/washed-out gifs all the time? 2014? 2015? Anyway. While I kind of liked the look of some of them (and I made a few myself so I'm not so innocent heh), when literally everybody was making them, it made my dashboard quickly look so fucking dull and lifeless. I kept asking: where are all the colorful gifs / why do you guys hate colors so much? Ugh.

Also some of the recent trends... You know when people make those transitional b&w glitchy gifs? I go back and forth about it. Like, in a way, I kind of like the look. I think the effect looks cool and I can tell it's taken a lot of time & effort to make it happen. But I also have this thing called astigmatism in my eyes, and that glitchy effect makes me go all 😵. So I'm not a huge fan of that trend because of that. I still think it's cool though.

9. What/who inspired you to start making gifs?

Honestly, I can't even 100% remember anymore. XD I think I always just thought that gifs are cool and I guess I was just hoping to see more gifs about X and Y and couldn't find them, so, I figured I gotta do it myself. I made my very first gifs in the J-rock fandom and later, as a fan of the Norwegian actor Kristoffer Joner (who has like 5 fans on Tumblr, including me haha), so, I'm guessing I got my original inspiration from there. And here we are.

32. What is your favorite tool/adjustment layer in Photoshop?

Color Balance! :)

I nearly always use the same tools for my base coloring (curves, levels, b/c) and then finish it off with vibrance and curves. But obviously, coloring/color correction is my favorite part of gif-making. And I love Color Balance because you can make such powerful changes to your gifs with a minimum of fuss - also give them depth if you adjust Shadows and Highlights as well (and I nearly always do that).

I also like using Photo Filter, especially before Color Balance - especially when scenes are strongly tinted in yellow, blue, or green (ugh). It generally works great as a color neutralizer (or an emphasizer) and saves you from a lot of cursing and swearing most of the time.

34. A set that took you a long time/was really hard but you’re really proud of how it came out.

There are quite a few of those sets and some of them really didn't do quite well in the sense of popularity. XD

I would honestly say that most of my color palette, fake scenes, and lyrics edits all took a fair amount of time and most of them are something that I'm quite proud of.

In my less popular fandoms - Young Hercules, Hercules: the Legendary Journeys, Fear the Walking Dead, Z Nation - I spent hours, even days to rip them & convert them from my DVD/BR, not to mention the whole process of finally gifing them and all, so. They definitely took me a lot of time to make and I am still quite proud of them. Even if some of them are very old now and don't necessarily look as good anymore (thus why I've already started working on some fresh remakes :D).

36. Do you gif with something specific in mind or do you just wing it?

Both. Sometimes I have such detailed plans for gifsets (even now I have so many different projects in mind, just very little time or energy for all 🙃) and I spend so much time planning them and working on them (and then they get 30 likes and 2 reblogs, one from me lol). Then sometimes I just want to make something, fuck details and plans, I don't want to think about it all lmao. So I just make these simple character episode gifsets or random scenes that I liked etc.

41. What is your least favorite part about your gif making process?

Oh, let me see. Using software that requires at least 16GB RAM to run effectively, and my poor laptop only has 8GB, so. 🙃 Not always being able to run other programs (like Spotify) in the background - or having to restart PS - or occasionally having to wait for several minutes for it to even fucking import anything, then having to wait a few minutes more for it to crop and resize the goddamn thing - yeah, I love it so fucking much. 😎🤗 Not.

Not to mention how PS keeps crashing occasionally (especially CS5, which I no longer really use for that reason + crappy fonts and it's a shame because it actually works faster on my laptop so kjkgjkggk), plus countless other, lovely errors that may occasionally pop up with this otherwise lovely, "user-friendly" Adobe feature. Thus, I am so 🏴‍☠️☠️ this shit. Not sorry. 😇🤭

49. How much would you say you’ve improved since you first started giffing?

Some of the first gifs I've made (somewhere between 2012-2014 I think):

I think there's a clear improvement compared to my most recent ones 1 & 2. :) I try to pay more attention to the speed of my gifs now - I no longer try to make them slow or skip any frames if I have to. I also strive to use mostly HQ videos these days (albeit sometimes you really just can't find them anywhere and that's something you just gotta deal with 🙃😎).

Albeit I actually still do like even some of my older colorings, I no longer usually have to spend hours and hours (except on very rare occasions) fiddling with different coloring settings and feel depressed every five minutes because now I have more experience and knowledge with different PS tools. Of course, now that Tumblr also allows us to upload even bigger gifs (from 1MB to 10MB ftw), it's obviously given me more freedom to explore and improve myself as a gif maker. :D There's still much to learn ofc, but then again, there are still people who make such awesome gif tutorials here, so I love to take new tips from them whenever I can.

You absolutely may!! One of your fics was what first drew me to the ship in the first place, so I absolutely can~

Kaeya & Albedo:

1. Who's more ticklish?

KAEYA he is the most ticklish person ever and I will die on that hill. I do think that he's better at initially hiding it though, so a lot of people would assume it's Albedo.

2. What kind of tickles are they sensitive to?

Kaeya is more susceptible to those really light, soft tickles, and is feather ticklish as well. Albedo will often use Kaeya as his canvas, and Kaeya is a shaking, giggling mess every time (Albedo uses the oppurtunity to tickle him more as punishment for messing up his drawing with all his squirming). Light tickles will get Albedo as well, but rougher tickles sends him into a cackling fit immediatelly. It breaks through his resistance in seconds, and he'll allow himself to just sit there and laugh.

3. Which role (lee/ler) does each of them hold?

I think that Kaeya is more of a ler personally, but ends up in the lee position far more often in their relationship. Albedo is a ler-leaning switch, and gets embarrassed about his sensitivity (and the fact that he likes people taking advantage of it) easily, so he'll instinctively try to stay out of the lee role, even if he secretly wants it.

4. How did they discover each other's ticklishness?

Albedo found out from Diluc when he was visiting Mondstadt one time. Kaeya was out on knightly duties, and Albedo was complaining that his boyfriend had no weaknesses. Diluc, of course, could not let that stand, and immediatelly spilled the beans, as well as all his worst spots. Kaeya found out about Albedo when they were traveling through Dragonspine. One of the Seelies kept trying to follow them home, and Albedo tried to gently lead them back. Unfortunately, the Seelie was insistent, and kept nuzzling up to him, sneaking under his shirt at times to try to stow away. Imagine both the Seelie and Kaeya's confusion when Albedo starts laughing and doubling over as the Seelie brushes over his stomach and sides.

5. Who's more likely to instigate a tickle fight?

Kaeya for sure, he loves tickling others and getting tickled, so it's a win-win for him. He gets to see Albedo's precious smile, as well as get his shit wrecked on the other end. Albedo will start them only when he's sure he can win.

6. How often do they tickle each other?

All the fucking time once they figured it out. It's nothing big usually, just teasing pokes to the side squeezes from behind. Tickle fights break out less often, but when they do they last forever. Albedo is a little shit, and loves to take advantage of Kaeya's sensitivity. He'll squeeze his knee while they're at the bar, scuttle fingers over his neck in passing when he's talking to someone like Jean or Lisa, use the word tickle all the time sentences when they're around others just to see Kaeya get flustered. Kaeya usually gets him back tenfold on the other end which definitely isn't what Albedo was hoping for nope not him.

7. Who's the least likely to ask for tickles?

Kaeya likes to be cocky about it, and will flaunt his sensitivity in front of the other, so it's for sure Albedo. He cannot ask for the life of him, he'll go beet red and start stammering over his sentences. Meanwhile Kaeya's just standing there with this big smirk on his face like, "What's wrong, having a bit of trouble with your words there?"

Who’s more ticklish? What kind of tickles are they sensitive to?

Im combining these two questions because they both are extraordinarily ticklish. Tip to top and everything inbetween, they are susceptible pretty much everywhere by every type of tickling. Obviously there is some variety depending on which technique and or tools are used where but still. And both are addicts who genuinely enjoy being tickled.

That being said...if Gabriel does not have access to his powers, he will tap out before Dean does. It'll just take a long friggin time.

Which role (lee/ler) does each of them hold?

Gabriel is a ler-leaning-Switch while Dean is a Switch-ass-Switch (the ass part is essential to the title 😌)

How did they discover each others’ ticklishness?

Gabriel is an celestial being with celestial sight and senses...bitch knew Dean's every physical weakness the moment he laid eyes on him.

Dean learned of it through the grapevine. Both Sam and Kevin had discovered it by accident and barely lived to confess the tale. Charlie had found out deliberately on purpose after learning that Gabriel was a tickle monster. Dean found out for himself during one of the Tricksters impromptu game nights (they always devolved into tickle games).

Who’s more likely to instigate a tickle fight?

Gabriel doesn't instigate tickle fights. They're more like targeted tickle assassinations. Dean does instigate tickle fights a lot but not so much with Gabriel since it's rarely a fair anything against the Trickster.

Now if they are both in a good or sassy mood and they happen to make wordless eye contact for more than a few seconds that ends in a fraction of a squint...it's on fucking sight!

How often do they tickle each other?

For all this talk, it's actually not terribly often, maybe a handful of times a year, that they get each other. Gabriel isn't around a whole lot, and when he is he usually is keeping Kevin or Charlie company while TFW is hunting. They also tend to challenge each other to silly contests that the others around the bunker unwittingly find themselves a part of so they can be catty with each other.

Who’s the least likely to ask for tickles?

Both would rather die than acknowledge that they, themselves, genuinely enjoy being tickled. And both have big brother energy, meaning a lot of surprise tickle attacks and subtly checking if their victim is cool with it.

Def Ace! Tho Cater is also p ticklish, I'd say he's like a 7/10 while Ace is 10/10 for ticklishness lol. Also while Ace is ticklish just about everywhere, Cater is only ticklish in certain places (Mostly upper body, but basically not ticklish below his waist)

I think both would be sensitive to gentler tickling rather than harder

I'd say a majority of the time Ace is the lee and Cater is the ler, mostly because these are just the roles that they prefer

Ace was feeling down one day after getting scolded by Riddle, so Cater tickled him to try and cheer him up (which Ace refuses to admit actually worked) and of course after that Ace needed to get revenge, so it ended up turning into a tickle fight

5. Who’s more likely to instigate a tickle fight?

Honestly both instigate them pretty often, but I'd say Ace does just a bit more cus he wants to be tickled, but is too embarrassed out right ask so he just starts a tickle fight instead lol

6. How often do they tickle each other?

Like I said in the last one, it's pretty often 😂 Whenever the other is upset or down over something small, when one them is being annoying, or if they just feel like it they'll just start tickling each other

To actually ask out loud, probably Ace 🤣 Even though he likes being tickled more, he absolutely sucks at asking for it cus he gets too embarrassed, while even tho Cater usually prefers being a ler, if he's in a lee mood he can easily just ask someone to tickle him. Ace will basically just keep hinting at it or provoking a person until they do, but sometimes Cater can tell and will be mean and make him actually ask for it

Some feelings I've felt since I first watched the show (loving Klaine, hating F*nchel, etc) but most things have changed. Like Santana and Sam moving down on my favorites list, and Rachel moving from one of the worst to one of the best. Used to love ships like Faberry, Hevans, and Samcedes whereas now I'm like ...meh. Kind of shipped Br*ttana back in the day too, I think. I used to hate the s4 newbies. Hell, even Will has moved up a few spots from my absolute least favorite character of all time. Things change, so just like what you like without worrying about what you think you should like. And learn to curate your blog experience to tailor what you do and don't want to see bc it really helps!

Choosing only 5 was a tough decision so I cheated a bit, if you can forgive me 🙏 Also, I’m still a beginner in Chinese novels so I haven’t read many titles yet 

1. MXTX’s stories in general (novelupdates)

Stories with elaborate plots, compelling characters, a lot of humor, and devotion and love that grabs you by the heart. You get a few punches in the gut which make you bleed internally for these characters, but also a lot of love and justice for them, warming your insides after the pain. It’s ups and downs on a road of intriguing plots which engage you until the very end, with many twists and turns and unexpected events. I am forever impressed by MXTX for the art of storytelling and for creating such wonderful and rich worlds which are not black and white. There are numerous moral dilemmas and it’s not that easy to say who is in the right, leaving you with many questions about human nature and areas to explore.

MDZS was my first Chinese novel actually, I started reading it while it was still being translated. My door to this world, so I am additionally fond of it. The beginning was pretty tough because of all the names and sects and details, as for many people I presume. But boi was it worth it. I fell in love with MC, a ray of sunshine with a heart of gold, ready for the greatest sacrifices for his loved ones and for what he felt was right, bearing heavy responsibilities on his shoulders while still keeping his free and cheerful self. And so smart. I am weak for smart people. The plot engrossed me and I was almost going insane waiting for new chapters to be published. I love crime stories. I could go on and on about all the characters and things I love about MDZS but it’d be a few k words long so I’ll end here lmao.

TGCF makes me burst of rainbows when I think about the main pair asfvhbvjernovn. I think it may be my favourite pair ever. What these two had to go through made me physically feel pain and I wailed like a baby reading The Cursed Book 4. But what they found in each other, the pure raw devotion... just messes me up, truly. Also, the humor is just top notch for me lmfao I love MXTX’s humor.

SVSSS was extremely funny to me, but it was also quite frustrating. At some point I was pretty much tired of the misunderstandings. Also the world was not that interesting? I mean, MC was lazing around and nothing much happened there around the world before ML started... some stuff. But the last straw was the main pair’s relationship. Really not satisfying to me, [spoiler] MC just going “ugh fine”, and their first time being pretty much r*pe. I know that they did develop their relationship in the extras, but [end of spoiler] I still felt kind of disappointed by their dynamic, not really my thing. But the secondary pair moshang hvyuhivtyfuhvctfygu goddamn I love them, one of my OTPs 💙 And I HURT for qijiu. And love lqg. Overall, I enjoyed the novel for the humor and I love side characters and side threads, but I experienced a lot of frustration and wasn’t satisfied by many parts, so it’s the only MXTX novel I didn’t reread and needed a lot of fanfics to feel the main pair because it didn’t manage to click for me in the original work.

There are many more things I could say about these novels but let’s stop here lmao 

2. The Reader and Protagonist Definitely Have to Be in True Love (novelupdates)

One of my favourite. Also a comedy so there is a lot of laughing, especially because of MC's poker face and disabilities which caused a lot of funny misunderstandings. Actually never have I read a cnovel with a handicapped MC (he's deaf without his hearing aid and blind without his glasses). There is a lot of angst and healing, about being broken and betrayed countless of times... It’s another trope which speaks to me - when a broken, betrayed, full of mistrust and hatred person meets someone who is truly and honestly devoted to them, and slowly learns to open up to them and trust again 😭 The plot and the world is also very interesting. There are some silly parts or minor cliches, but what I like about this novel is how it takes those cliches and turns them into something original and surprising. Yeah, this novel has a lot of layers.

3. Faraway Wanderers (novelupdates)

I’d say that while MXTX meticulously weaves her intricate stories, Priest in TYK went “there is some plot going on somewhere in the background but main characters couldn’t care less” lmfao. While reading the novel I had so many ideas how some details could be used, but they just weren’t xd I saw some of what I expected being used in the drama though (Word of Honor), but I still haven’t started watching; waiting for more episodes to be translated plus I want to finish the fic I’m writing before diving into the drama, to keep novel-compliant. So generally, the plot in the novel wasn’t really compelling but I absolutely adore the main pair. I’m weak for the grumpy and hard to get shou and obsessed unhinged gong lmao. And generally power couples. And the slow gaining of trust, peeling the layers and becoming vulnerable in front of each other. Mmmm yeah many tropes that just hit me likes

On a side note, this is my first Priest novel, so can’t say much about her other stories yet

4. Transmigration into a fucked up world with a yandere ML xd

Transmigrating into a Mob Character to Rehabilitate the Villain Plan (novelupdates)

Read it quite some time ago. Hmmm quite heavy and I'd put a lot of warnings here, very explicit and with some dub-con. Starts lighter though, the first book was pretty cute. But also awful most of the time xd The characters suffered a lot... I remember that I was pretty hooked on the plot, had some "but"s here and there and I think it got pretty ridiculous near the end? But I still enjoyed. I may have something for unhinged MLs 👀

Picked up by the Protagonist of a Tormented! MC Novel (novelupdates)

Didn’t finish unfortunately, got too busy with Uni before it got translated fully and never could go back so I don’t know how it ended. What was fascinating was that the MC got thrown into a body of a literal infant while he still retained his mind. So we get to see him grow with a very smart and very suspicious ML, requiring the MC to be extremely careful to act like a child and not be thrown away, but also help ML in any way. This novel was ruthless, just a warn, two small children on the streets going through literal hell. Not sure, but there might be r*pe in the chapters I didn’t reach, so a bit :/ I should read it again and finally finish sometime in the future xd

Every Day the Protagonist Wants to Capture Me (novelupdates)

It starts exactly like SVSSS but develops differently. It's one of those novels which was good and interesting in the first part and got ridiculous and kinda disappointing towards the end. Enjoyed the first half very much, was disappointed by the second half though.

5. The Legendary Master’s Wife (novelupdates)

It's so long it took me months to read. The translation I read at the beginning was utterly disastrous and I had trouble understanding, especially since there is a lot about cultivation or how pills are created (MC is not a cultivator but a pill-maker, also a plus for something fresh), so for a newbie me it was an additional difficulty. But it was my 2nd cnovel ('cause it was picked up by exiled rebels and I was fresh after mdzs on their site), and y’know one can stand a lot at the beginning lol. Pretty silly, with cliche tropes and a lot of holes, but I laughed many times. I enjoyed it while I was bedridden with one awful flu and needed something light. So I like it for a few personal reasons. The world and its mechanics are actually very detailed, I think that's what kept me mostly, the curiousity to learn about another layer and the outcome of some disputes.

Overall, I like most of them for some parts, but wouldn’t rate them as masterpieces and have quite a few “but”s. But the novel doesn’t need to be perfect to be enjoyed :)

Reiner & Mikasa: A Retrospective Pt. 1

Why their combined synergy is poetic in potentially saving Eren by the end of SnK?

(Disclaimer: This is purely an appreciation post for my two favorite characters, [BR]OTP-influenced but in no way disregarding any other characters’ importance in the series) **contains spoilers for recent manga chapters & Ep. 63 of AoT’s Final Season. Image heavy.

Ever since they were trainees, Eren has always looked up towards both Reiner and Mikasa, although he wasn’t willing to admit to the latter in front of her face directly. But, in a feeling of helplessness, he confided in Reiner. He aspired to be just like the two strongest people in his life at that point: Reiner and Mikasa.

They are the top two cadets of the 104th batch and are almost always evenly matched in the multiple times they’ve tried to take each other down if it wasn’t for Reiner’s stroke of luck and Mikasa’s hesitance. (Mikasa managed to force him out of his Titan form using her last Thunder Spear but wasn’t enough to kill him even when she said she wanted to)

(Oh yes, she & Levi gave him enough trauma for his PTSD and he has recurring nightmares of her. But he still respects them. Enemy to enemy. Enemy to ally.)

Yet together, there’s still a fighting chance for them to stop Eren because of their deep bond with him. (Armin is important too that ARM still has a huge role to play in the second wave of the final fight. Especially now that he’s realized OG Ymir’s role in all of this. I hope)

At this current timeline of the manga, we have reached the point where Reiner and Mikasa, the very two people that Eren looked up to, have to be the ones (amongst the few) who collectively work together to defeat him, who’s under the Founder Ymir’s influence & in a way, saving him from whatever hopeless vortex he is in.

I very much like to draw light to this short, quick exchange between Reiner & Mikasa on the plane heading towards Fort Salta’s direction. The above panel, which highlighted Reiner’s perspective and his empathy, says “The weight of that unimaginable power & burden would not be easy to endure and that IF he was the one who has the Founder, he’d want it to be handled by someone else and if he couldn’t handle that immense power, he’d want the power to be stopped.” Some fans claimed that Reiner was ‘projecting’ his own innate desire to die on Eren but Reiner has always been the opposite to Eren’s character. The other side of the same coin as Eren’s.

The below panel follows and it’s very interesting to note that if we look at Reiner’s gaze as he was speaking, indirectly Reiner is admitting that he’d want to be stopped by someone he knows could do exactly that and that person or his kryptonite is Mikasa. Ok, woman, this man’s weakness is you. It couldn’t get any direct than that rofl

Reiner was being very mindful (and respectful) of his implication as he is very aware on how delicate is Mikasa’s feelings when it comes to Eren. (Tbh, I also observe the unspoken understanding & mutual respect between these two) Eren’s her family & to directly call out to Mikasa to be more proactive in her actions would be inconsiderate of him despite the situation they’re in. Just like at the harbor, before the showdown with the Jeagerists, Reiner gave them the option to stay aside & not interfere, knowing full well he & the rest of the Marleyan survivors would be no different than headless chickens without the SC’s support. He didn’t force them, just like he didn’t impose his thoughts on Mikasa.

Then BOOM -- PATHS INTERMISSION. Brought to you by OG!Ymir through Young!Eren. Coincidentally, as if ‘someone’ out there wants to place weight on Reiner’s suggestion.

However, after the Paths intermission, that might just be the first wake up call to Mikasa. It’s also interesting that once again we are reminded that no matter how fast or how hard Mikasa tried to chase after Eren, she’ll never be able to get close to him. She gave him her world yet he kept moving forward & leave her behind, chasing after his shadows as he keeps going down a path that no one else can follow. I think it’s interesting that The Paths looped her back to Reiner

The horrified expression on Reiner’s face in the panel below somewhat tells me that he knew his earlier implications are not just him grasping desperately at straws but it feels like there’s the ‘human’ side of Eren, still untainted by Ymir’s will, like he believes, who secretly wants to be stopped. He understood how horrible it is for Mikasa, especially with the look of absolute shock on her face to finally have the awful truth confirmed. (At this point, Armin is already past the point of holding back & will do whatever necessary to rip Eren out of the Founding’s form)

I would like to take the time to share my appreciation of these rich panels of Mikasa working closely with Reiner’s Armored (together with the rest of course). Mikasa doesn’t tell her feelings verbally but she always shows it on her face.

Oh yes, right after the above panel, she had to get out of the way but her face below explains the anger and the rage she felt when she saw the Colossal took a bite out of the Armored’s nape & toss its body away like it’s just point blank garbage.

She was desperately worried that Armin was taken, but at Levi’s behest, she trusted Armin with his orders and they forced themselves to move forward. But one can see she was about to go apeshit when she saw what happened to Reiner & his Armored.

While Reiner & Jean were having a Titanic bro moment here, which is also pivotal in my opinion as Reiner, once again felt he finally belonged amongst people who genuinely care about him Survey Corps Suicide Squad yo even after what had happened between them. (It was a symbolical scene as well where Reiner has to let go of his old bro, Bertolt to move forward with his new bro, Jean.) Mikasa swooped in & kill the random Titan form that was about to make Reiner its lunch. Can’t blame them, that man is a delicious footlong sub. This woman ain’t gonna share haha crack humor, people! 

“If we fight, we win. If we lose, we die.”

Yes, the breaking point of one Mikasa Ackerman. This is a wholesome callback to Trost arc, the day before their graduation. When she found out that Eren died, she went apeshit & went on a “fuck this shit. i have nothing to lose anymore” mode. Jean, as usual, being the tough guy Jean, is angry that she’s putting her life on the line. Again.

But what’s interesting to me was the helpless look on Reiner’s face. He knows she’s super strong, he respects her so much for that & she’s buying them time and was more than willing to die first before everyone does BUT he can’t do much at that point because he’s at his last limit and Jean’s not letting his hand go either. Seriously, THIS is the woman you should marry, bro. She’s willing to die for you & everyone else. This woman is a damn keeper!

Although I am very sure, everyone’s ready to die for each other at this point.

Back to the original pondering: The Reiner & Mikasa saving Eren with/through Armin going directly against Ymir.

The Final Exhibition played a lot on this Eren vs Reiner with Mikasa being in the middle. Touched on this briefly before.

The Final Stand highlights the confrontation between The Founding/Attack against The Armored, with Mikasa being in the middle of the confrontation, tipping the scales of the outcome. Before, she assisted Eren against Reiner.

We are seeing her working together with Reiner to take Eren down right now. The definitive final question that would be answered soon was printed on the wall featuring Eren & Reiner’s exhibition panel:  “Who’s the one that will disappear from this world?”

I just hope that the right one(s) persevere. Reiner & Mikasa are going to Bonnie & Clyde/ Cloak & Dagger / Cyclops & Phoenix that shit out

gladio discovered noctis’ sensitivity when they were kids, during a round of training. unfortunately for notics, it became a pretty regular addition to their normal training, something in the name of “endurance” lmao meanwhile, noctis only found out about gladio’s ticklishness because of ignis

gladio, whether it be because noctis is being moody and needs something to help him cheer up or he’s being bratty and needs to be taken down a peg or two. noctis only attempts to start a tickle fight when gladio’s being sassy himself AND he can catch him off guard, because lord know that if he gets caught, it’s over for him

pretty often, they like to tease and taunt at each other, pushing buttons and whatnot to see who’s going to react first. again, it’s most common during their training and sparring sessions, since gladio can use that as an excuse and noctis has too much pride to walk away from the challenge

gladio, definitely. noctis isn’t big on asking for them either, especially not outright because it’s embarrassing, but gladio is much more of a ler, so he’d be the one asking to do the tickling rather than being tickled. he’s absolutely asked noctis for it before, and it was just to watch him flare up red and flustered lmao

hoho, I've been a little uh, playing it by ear the whole time with Reflet tbh. We've had a lot of fun with Robin and Reflet having interactions as lovely alternates/duplicates, and i thank you for that. chef's kiss muah, very good shit. It helps that Robin, on surface level is a somewhat...simple muse. One main ship, a second possibility, his problems are....pfff delightfully simple-ish.

Tho it gets more complicated w/ the others, haha. It's fun. Idk, things all kinda depend on that split, What a muse wants in their gut, vs what a muse wants outwardly and consents to, vs what a mun wants. We've had some nice lil talks about how Felix, Shulk, and Chrom might play nice. As always i don't wanna overstep bounds.

My Chrom might need fleshed out, I'm not confident in his portrayal quite yet? While i have default-ish ships and dynamics for him, either he's a simple man, or stuff is time-sensitive. unfortunately i can't babble on end for him, everything still feels like a 'he's just a Chrom, not My Chrom' type deal fksldfs;f needs more HCs. But! he'd try to be buddies and friends and accommodate Reflet the best he could, like any friend and tactician, same as Robin.

Shulk has mild interest- as a mun personally, I've grown on a fandom idea of him and MU being (br)OTP, but basically the homs is just trying to figure him out, there's calm and mild favor- He likes Reflet's company.

As for Felix, things are.......playful. As you may know or notice, he's had a crush on Reflet from the first up close interaction. That crush in and of itself has developed and changed with time, too. It's decent character development tbh, with him growing a bit more confident as consequence. Friendship wise, they're getting closer regardless. Not quite besties, but there's only one layer of painful information and intimacy left; they're pretty much one odd event from getting much closer, more on the track to being akin to besties. They enjoy each others' company, but don't fully understand each other quite yet, Soon tho.

Overall, we're just kinda still figuring things out as per usual, even as we nudge our muses along. It's still that respectful 'IDK WHAT DO YOU WANNA DO TODAY' goings on, but much more nuanced and subtle, lmao. This is all not even to say, playing with verses and such. We be chattin tho~

WYLDE: Fav thing: his relationships with the other characters makes me emotion....particularly with vert and tork. just seeing the change between how they treated/thought of him when they first met (vert inviting him to his team when he saw him being treated like shit/tork taking him in bc he seemed like just a kid who needed help) vs later in the series (vert not even acknowledging they were on the same WR team + “back off, markie”/mark constantly being aggressive towards tork and causing problems for him)....i just....gh.........also i really love the consistency in his characterization between WR + acc. after rewatching WR a couple times i realize he actually has a lot more in common with acc markie than i thought. Bakugo found out when she was helping him with homework one day (because they absolutely have study sessions together) and she wouldn’t stop teasing him about his crush on Kirishima. He poked her in the side to get her to shut up, not expecting her to squeak and flail backwards. 

5. Who’s more likely to instigate a tickle fight?

Bakugo for sure. It’s a way for him to bond with others and get his fair share of tickles as well without having to admit that he likes either. Uraraka absolutely knows this and is more than happy to indulge him in it. 

6. How often do they tickle each other?

Honestly, not that often. Bakugo doesn’t really like being tickled in public, he gets embarrassed about it, and Uraraka respects them. Tickle fights tend to break out more when they’re one-on-one, especially during study sessions (it’s a wonder they get any actual studying done during that time). 

7. Who’s the least likely to ask for tickles?

Bakugo he’d rather die before utter those words. Uraraka has a hard time as well, but manages to work up the nerve sometimes.
