But this stupid child body does have an effect on his reactions to things and honestly it’s a horrible thing that’s too small and too weak for him to use all his abilities. He could barely manage a fireball if he concentrated, yet everything caught fire with a mere outburst! His control was utterly gone, and a tantrum resulted in having to wear a stupid child leash backpack. 

It wasn’t like he was really a child, and it wasn’t like he’d get lost or some stupid shit that Danny would insist. Ugh, this isn’t even fair, technically he was older than him yet was stuck in a smaller body that he kept tripping over! 

Urgh, he’s even insisting on rewarding ‘good behavior’ and shit- must have talked to Jazz or something- because… Oh. No he wants the constellation bear, give! His star bear now, no takes back and, urgh, stupid baby body! 

Well, on the other hand, it’s utterly hilarious how much Danny sputters whenever he calls him Mom, not to mention strangers’ utter befuddlement. He ignores how Danny seems to be trying his best to live up ro the title. 

But! As he was saying, he’s no coward! He’s also not an idiot though, and having no control over his powers isn’t exactly a good thing. It’s really not a good thing when there’s a murderous-looking hero that he thinks he might have maimed in the future- which they apparently remember- staring down at him. Tell that to the trans men and transmascs who have been deemed dangerous and thus shunned, threatened, or even assaulted all because they're men now "and they should expect and accept it"

To the trans men and transmascs who have been assaulted in ways to try and "fix us" and turn us "back into women/lesbians"

Tell that to the trans men and transmascs who are labeled as the killers of parents sweet precious cis daughters or stealer of irreplaceable invaluavle lesbians or a poor unfortunate victim of being groomed by the Big Scary Trans Genders

Tell that to the trans men and transmascs who have been denied crucial, sometimes life-saving and/or life-altering health and medical care all because their gender marker has been changed to an M.

Tell that to the trans men who get told we're the ones responsible misogyny being systematic - that we just want to have it "easier" and surely can no longer be feminists because we "chose being an evil, oppressive (trans) man over being a soft, holy (cis) woman"

Tell them that all of the losses of their social connections and supports, the grimaces and sneers people have as their transition goes "too far". Tell that to the trans men and transmascs who have been deemed as predatory, potentially dangerous, in need of "saving", and so much more. Tell it to the trans men and transmascs who go through constant silencing, scrutiny, erasure and gatekeeping. Tell them that all of the pain, grief, loneliness, isolation, harassment, abuse and MORE that they have experienced ISN'T because they're a man or masculine, but because they're "just" trans. Even when, during all of these horrific moments in their life, the people inflicting this violence against them held nothing but contempt for them choosing to be a man. For trying to parade around as a man, when clearly they're just some poor delusional cis woman.

Tell them, because clearly you know everything and exactly how all of this works and how everyone's lived experiences have gone. Because you apparently know everything more than anyone else.

Every time I view the tributes as "evil" or "annoying" or "stuck up" I have to physically chant THAT'S WHAT THE CAPITOL WANTS YOU TO THINK. We watch and consume media, and we are all easily suggestible to depictions and hidden agenda of the producers - I'm a kpoppie so I've seen my fill of reality shows and evil mnet editing, how someone can have their actions, words and expressions twisted into a narrative that isn't true. Media at the scale of the Games are not designed to tell the truth - that largely marginalised kids are ritually massacred to scare the districts from thinking about rebellion. The broadcasted Games are selling the deaths almost at an unreal quality, almost like it's not REALLY happening - and the emotional distance that the Capitol citizens are able to afford/and be removed from the brutality can pretend that it's not really there and more importantly, not THEIR kids. This is just a silly little show and these kids are only characters playing a role, but ooh sometimes we can get interactive and influence their odds. How fun! How exciting! And we in the Capitol get to do this Every Year? Give us drama and twists, different arenas and costumes every year so we can keep consuming.

It's so easy to call literal kids EVIL or SELFISH and INHUMANE. Anyone would be if they've been publicly announced to fight to the DEATH and having to survive 23 other people actively TRYING to murder them. Everything is RIGGED by the game makers and sponsors - create an environment that is so toxic that people have to be the worst versions of themselves to survive - for funsies. For shits and giggles. For laughs, for bets. Doesn't matter if the chosen tribute win, but they have to be entertaining. SICKENING.

So the next time you catch yourself slipping into Capitol propaganda, thinking about how kids are evil and murderous and annoying, also consider the additional fact that they HAVE TO BE, and also just because a teenager is annoying doesn't mean they should DIE FOR IT. I know we're all disdainful of kids and think they're not fully formed humans, and sometimes they can look like they're older than they are, but that doesn't excuse TELEVISED demonisation of certain actions. Kids who are ruthless so they can go home are just trying to play a game rigged against their LIVES. I think all of the tributes can do whatever tf they want, I support tribute rights AND wrongs. They're ANNOYING and I want them to LIVE. Two statements that can and should coexist

Day 4 - Feathers' feel

Even when his feathers are detached in an attack, torn or shed there is a period of time in which Per'kele can still feel through them- primary feathers' feel lasts longer than secondary ones.

For example, when he launches them at the contestants, even if they're no longer attached to his body, he can still feel the feathers slash through the skin of the adversary. If they were to ricochet against him it'd feel like stabbing oneself with your own fingers, feeling both the cut and the cutting at the same time.

Stepping or breaking a shed feather that still has feel would be like stepping on his arm or plucking it from the skin.
