I’m definitely not crying over the authors note at the end of BitterBlue where the author acknowledges that earlier in the series she disabled one of her characters just to immediately magic cure him and when writing a later book had someone to consult with about if she could get around said magic cure and have him still be disabled character so she could show him being whole and happy while also being disabled

I accidentally woke up before my alarm the other day -which usually means I’m anxious about something coming up so that’s fun- BUT it did mean I had some extra time up my sleeve to keep reading Bitterblue, and now I’m all done!!

Wondering why I have such a weakness for rich characters in empty houses with abandonment issues.
Bonus points for a redemption arc, found family, and/or running away

the truth is like blood underneath your fingernails, a mix for queen bitterblue of monsea
they have little reason to exist, except as a monument to the truth of all that's happened, and because they're beautiful. i suppose those are reasons to exist.
