cute

kinda hoped the hemp rope scene will be better but it felt ingenuine (Boun and Prem have shown some great acting in the series but this scene and the scene where they were watching horror where not so good; my guess is they were filmed at he beginning)

also again editing is all over the place!!!

Team, baby, I know you are upset BUT you have at least last 3 episodes to put a name on what you have with Win (and vice versa) and I am a patient person but I am losing it. Team you are so stupid. Or maybe just deaf and blind. Like sometimes I wonder if we have two Teams because clearly something is not clicking for him.

why does this show has so may unnecessary scenes or why they are so long

why they are recreating UWMA scenes as they were in UWMA (or did they just cut UWMA and put it in with different color grading??? THEY DID) while changing scenes for Win and Team? I mean it in a way that maybe maybe some new cute scenes were possible???

and also wtf is with this timeline (just don't trust characters when they sey week)

I think I am kinda mad. Sligthy disappointed. I love Win and Team but screenplay is doing them dirty. Like just WHY WHY is it taking so much time for them to talk. This show could have been six (or eight) really good hour long episodes and finished. And we have 4 more???

Oh, the games people play!! But all is fair in love & War! Regarding Ep8 Of Unknown The Series....

Since Yuan came back , he has repeatedly "invaded" Qian's personal space, but the difference is that Qian is less irritable, unlike before when he used to immediately push him away.

This episode has not only shown us the obvious change in Yuan, but it also shows the subtle changes in Qian's behavior. He is milder,more passive ,maybe because he has missed Yuan so badly all these 4 years. Subconsciously wanting that care and love that he had previously taken for granted.

Though Yuan physically approached Qian in an intimate fashion, he was careful not to overstep the boundary of their present

" unknown" relationship.

He isn't hesitant or shy, but he wants to try to win Qian 's heart.

After their separation, Yuan has already crossed into a zone of close proximity & Qian is now slowly realizing that the only person he will ever allow to be that close to him is Yuan.

This entire episode is a psychological warfare by Yuan with his 21-day theory, but little does he know how many days his Ge has been listless and pining when he was abroad.

Qian is long gone , but he hasn't realized it yet!!!

And even if he does, he will insist on doing " the right thing" as the parental figure. Hence, he dares not cross that line!!!

Yuan knows this nature of his Ge. That's why he says ....

"This thing between us, Is it that you don't want it ..

Or you don't dare??"

Misdirection & Possession

I find it very interesting that I went into this episode fully prepared to hate Ray (Jojo even indicated that we would be very angry with him in Ep8), but if anything, I feel much more positively towards him than I did in Ep7. And I think a lot of that is due to misdirection.

The preview for Ep8 shows a small snippet of the conversation between Ray and Sand at the party, and it paints Ray as purely selfish and possessive. His little smirk and arrogant tone just exudes spoiled, rich brat. While his tone aligns with all of those descriptors, the words he uses in that scene are so much more pitiful than I expected. I’ve used the words pitiful and desperate to describe Ray here, and I think those characterize his arc this episode well.

Going into the party argument, we see Ray's confusion over Sand's avoidance, viewing himself as Sand's foremost attraction. It's a self-centered, arrogant comment, but it's also subtly indicative of just how down bad Ray is himself that he would insist that Sand see him at the start of the party.

"You like me. You love me."

We know already that Ray clings to his relationship with Sand because Sand drops everything for him. Ray says this coming off of the scene where he is used as a tool for Mew's revenge on Top. I don't think it's any coincidence then that Mew kisses Ray to illustrate his possessiveness over him, while Ray does the same to Sand. It's like Ray's subconscious need to level the playing field with Mew--to convince himself that even though Mew isn't returning his feelings properly, Sand is still his. Ray is Mew's, and Sand is Ray's.

Following this, we have another distinction with the Ep8 preview. In the preview, Sand says "I'm not your rebound" while in the actual show he says "I'm not your second option." There's a difference in meaning there, and I wonder why the preview shows different dialogue when we never see it in the series itself. 'Rebound' implies that Ray is seeking out Sand to bounce back from a relationship-gone-wrong, while second choice doesn't necessarily imply that something had gone wrong in the previous relationship. It's a small difference, but it's still one worth noting.

Finally, Ray's got this snide smirk on his face the entire scene. It only breaks when he's pushed down, and even then, it's not heartbreak but mild annoyance. I'm going to attribute that to his inebriation coupled with his own belief in Sand's feelings; from that perspective, whatever Sand says is of no real consequence. Ray believes he has Sand wrapped around his little finger the same way Mew has him wrapped around his.

Mew alluded last week to this idea that people often don't realize what they have until it's too late; I think that same sentiment applies here. Ray won't realize that Sand means it when he says he deserves better until it's too late--until Sand walks away and doesn't come back. Ray feels secure about his hold on Sand for now, but what he doesn't realize is that he's slowly wearing Sand down. Sand is patient, First himself said so, but everyone's patience wears out eventually. Regardless of whatever happiness is coming for them next week, I have a feeling Ray will continue to wear Sand down until he just can't take it anymore.

So I just binged Sonic Prime Season 2, and OH MY GOD I NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT

SPOILERS AHEAD: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

if you already watched or don't care about spoilers, rambling is under the cut.

Okay, EP1, the episode where Sonic finally meets up with Shadow was a big step forward compared to Season 1, and it puts my beloved edgy hedgy in a sympathetic light. Yeah, the two fight, but for a damn good reason; given Sonic's the one who fucked things up big time, Shadow doesn't trust that Sonic wouldn't make things worse. Not helping matters is that both were stubborn about Nine, as Shadow doesn't trust him as well, while Sonic does, under the impression that, since Nine is a counterpart of Tails, he'd be as trustworthy as the original, to which Shadow calls BS as the Shatterverse counterparts are their own people and "not (Sonic's) real friends." (we'll come back to this later) Eventually, the two agree that, in order to fix this shattered world, they have to work together, and what a way to set up the second season.

The rest of the episodes before EP5 was a bit of filler, as they follow the formula of "Sonic goes to Shatterspace to retrieve Paradox Shard and fails to the Chaos Council,' but Rusty and Black Rose's friendship was just heartwarming, I loved seeing the otherwise robotic Rusty actually develop and bounce off of Black Rose.

Dread turning his crew against Sonic just so he could have the Shard was a twist that I saw coming, but him abandoning his crew was one that I did not expect.

Seeing Nine help Sonic however he can while being stuck with the Chaos Council was adorable, and sets up the heartbreak for the finale alongside the little debate Sonic and Shad had in EP1.

EP6 gave us Chaos Sonic. MY LOVE, HE IS AMAZING! Snarky robot, LCD face, can kick Sonic's ass any day of the week? Why was he killed in the episode he debuted in? I need more Chaos Sonic.

Finally, the reason I wanted to make a post about this: the finale, EP8. My heart is crying right now. If the rest of Sonic Prime hadn't made it official yet, this is the episode where Sonic's inability to think ahead is cast into the spotlight. Nine is the only one who could repair the Paradox Prism, but he and Sonic have different goals: Nine wanted to start a new life in The Grim with Sonic, who only wants his old world back. However, Nine saw something that Sonic didn't notice until it had to be spelled out for him; if everything is fixed, the Shatterspaces vanish from existence. That includes Nine, too. Not only that, but as the series went on, it became clear that when Sonic said that Nine and the others are real, he completely missed the point of Shadow's statement about how they're not his "real friends," and Nine saw that the little blue bastard didn't see him as his own person; he just saw Nine as an angstier version of his friend and nothing more. This is what causes a beautiful forming friendship between the two to shatter, and for Nine to betray Sonic, and I can't blame either one.

All I have to say is: GIVE ME SEASON 3 DAMMIT
