Hoe about some late summer/early autumn vibes for our favorite pair??
There is a drive in theater about 2 hours away from Forks. Bella and Jake load the back of Bellas truck up with pillows and blankets (and snacks snuck in under the blankets). They take the long drive and commit to a double feature at the theater, backed into the parking spot, sharing the blankets in the bed of the truck for warmth. The stars twinkle overhead, the vintage corded speaker hanging over the side of the truck blaring the movie's score so loud they don't even have to whisper to heckle the movie
One of the farms past city limits sets up a hay maze, complete with scare actors dressed like scarecrows ready to jump out at passersby. Bella's unphased, she's seen far worse than a raggedy scarecrow. But Jake? Who would have guessed that he would be so jumpy? He claims it was more due to anxiety surrounding losing his sense of direction, but the scare actors would disagree.
For Bella's birthday, Jake arranges a surprise bonfire party in La Push. He collects pine branches fallen from a recent storm. Billy and Charlie provide snacks on a large fold out table Charlie borrowed from the diner. A cooler is filled with sodas for all the attendees, but Jake keeps two aside, warm like they're used to drinking in the garage. Bella hates surprises, and parties, but its really not that different from the other weekends out there, so she lets it slide. Until gift giving time comes, and she lets out a dramatic groan and protests. She's rendered nearly speechless when Jake gives her a beautiful handmade cutting board, and instructions on how to take care of it.

You were Jacobs cousin but spent most of your time with him and Billy rather than your family.
You had seen/met Bella once or twice but you were very little and don't remember much
But you have met Charlie Swan, he always seemed like a nice man and often invited you and your family over to watch a baseball game.
When news of the infamous Bellas moving to Forks you were relatively unfazed.
But Jacob was chomping at the bit to get to know her.
You met her the same time jacob did and it was hard to watch the two interact, but she seemed sweet(and very pretty).
Unlike your cousin you actually attended Forks high-school, it was closer to home.
You noticed Bella was a bit shy and socially awkward so you invited her into your friend group and hit it off well.
And when she started taking a interest in a certain blood sucking freak you were sure to steer her in the right direction.
And she listened to your advice
For three days.
She had said some bs about how you wouldn't be able to change her mind about seeing him so it's not worth the fight. And you gave up because you rlly wanted things to work between the two of you.
And you didn't really mind, I mean yes it was dangerous but Bella could take care of herself[and the fact that you had a real big crush on her]. You didn't mind that is until she started ditching you.
"Oh sorry y/n I can't tonight... I'm going to the movies with Edward"
Or "I promised Edward I'd study with him, can't jacob help you?"
It hurt you to say the least and Bella was so blinded by her crush for Edward she didnt even notice.
By Bellas birthday your relationship had practically withered away but you still got her a present. A handmade booksleeve in her favorite colour.
And then...the accident happened. The Cullens left Forks abruptly leaving a heartbroken Bella and a confused town.
You didn't really know what happened but according to Billy, nothing good.
And as selfish as it sounds you were glad you got to get back in touch with her.
You helped her get over her stupid breakup, reminding her that Edward didn't deserve her whatsoever.
You comforted her and let her cry in your arms
You made sure she ate well and got enough sleep
And you even made a bonfire with Jacob and your friends to burn all of Bellas photos, clothing and memories of Edward.
Things were going great until you started distancing yourself.
Making up illnesses and just flat our ignoring her seemed better than the truth, I mean you just couldn't tell her.
She thought that you were ignoring her because of how she treated you before. She felt like a jerk.
So of course when she shows up to Jacobs and demands to see you, things don't go swimmingly.
She finds out and she's...honestly not as shocked as she should have been

You looked down onto the yard where she was standing and holding up a sign that read "I KNOW I SHOULD HAVE SAID THIS SOONER BUT WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME? p.s im sorry for being a jerk :(" And a bouquet of your favorite flowers to top it off.
You excitedly nodded and quickly got ready for a impromptu date.

Pairing: Bella Swan x Reader
Warnings: Wuthering Heights. God, why did I make this so long.
Notes: Yes, I’m outing myself as a Twilight fan and a Bella simp, fight me. I could treat her right. (And no, I don’t support a lot of what SMeyer wrote in those books).
When you first heard of Bella Swan, you didn’t really care. She was more of a conversation topic for the guys or the school gossips.
Even when she first arrived, snatched up by Jessica and her friends, you didn’t care at first.
She was just some classmate
Sure, she was cute. But definitely the shy type, clearly uncomfortable with the level of awe she was receiving from the guys in your classes.
You guys first spoke a few days after she arrived. She was in the parking lot, leaning against her car. A book in her hand with a title you recognized.
“Wuthering Heights, huh?” You tilted your head to get a better look at the book title.
She was surprised for a second, not used to people asking her about books. People asking her about anything she liked, actually. “Um, yeah, have you read it?”
“Yep.”
Bella sat up a bit. “Oh, what did you think?”
“Meh.” You shrugged, being honest. “Not great. Everyone kinda sucks. It’s cool that you like it though.”
“But that’s the point.” You were a little caught off guard by her sudden investment in your conversation of your dislike of the book. But also glad to see her animated about something. “The best thing about them is their love.”
“Obsession isn’t love.”
“It’s not obsession.” The pretty brunette argued, mildly stuttering-ly. “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” The halfway triumphant face Bella made when she quoted the book was kind of cute if you were honest.
You chuckled. “Fair enough, I’ll give that book one thing, it had a few good quotes. Although I prefer that heaven quote, personally. You know… I said his heaven would be only half alive; and he said mine would be drunk: I said I’d fall asleep in his; and he said he couldn’t breathe in mine”
You grinned at her, waving goodbye as the bell rang.
Bella just stared after you. Other people in Forks were interested in her, but none except you actually talked to her about things she liked. Even if you didn’t like them as well.
She started to pay attention to you the next day, curiosity about Edward Cullen being replaced by curiosity about you.
Fighting through her anxiety, she approached you in the library the next day.
“What do you think of Jane Austin?” Bella immediate winced at her bluntness as you turned to her in suprise.
But, thankfully, you didn’t comment on that. “Umm, I only got halfway through Sense & Sensibility. So I can’t really say.”
She was a little crestfallen. “You didn’t like that one either?”
“No, I liked it. But I got really busy, and it was a library book. So I had to hand it in before it got due.
“Oh.” Bella had no idea why she was relieved that you liked that book. “You can borrow mine, if you want? I can… drop it off at your place. Tomorrow, maybe?”
While you didn’t quite know why she cared so much about it, you agreed. It was the weekend, and your parents were busy. So there was no problem about Bella stopping by.
Well, no problems except the rain. But for some reason she turned up anyway.
“You could have stayed home. I would’ve understood.” You chuckled helping her out of her jacket.
“I know.” She gratefully took the towel you handed her, giving you the book she had been hiding from the rain under her jacket. “I just… It’s a bit of rain.”
You knew she was lying, it was obvious from the way she looked outside that she wasn’t happy about the storm. You supposed there wasn’t much rain in Arizona. “Okay, well. How about you hang out here until the weather gets a bit better. I can turn on the movie?”
“The movie?”
“You know.” You held up her copy of Sense & Sensibility, obviously meaning that.
“Oh… sure.” She blushed a little. “Can I just call my dad first? Let him know I’m at a friend’s place?”
When Bella returned from the phone, the two of you curled up on the couch. Her eyes were focused on the movie, giving you a chance to look at her properly.
The two of you got much closer after that. When Cullen returned to bio class from wherever he had been, he saw that Bella had already moved to a back table with you
That family moved away soon after that, not telling anyone about it. You weren’t surprised, they had always been weirdos.
When you finally admitted your feeling for her, it was definitely awkward. And for a long moment, you were sure that she didn’t feel the same.
But to your relief, she did. She kissed you gently, like she was afraid of hurting you. Or of you disappearing on her.
So many things in her life were uncertain, with Bella always being the one to make other people lives easier.
But she didn’t have to do that with you.
Most dates included movie nights are your house, cuddling under a blanket.
You’d listen to her talk about the books and songs she liked, just like she would do for you. Bella usually wasn’t comfortable with questions and attention. But she liked knowing you were interested in what she had to say.
Charlie took it pretty well when Bella told him, as you had already been around their house a lot. He was a little surprised, but already liked you. He knew you cared about his daughter.
She normally liked to avoid school dances and stuff, but if you wanted to do it she would go just for you. Letting you pick her outfit, watching you dance with your friends while looking all nice.
When it came to Jacob, he was a little defensive around you at first. Still having a crush on Bella.
And at one point you had to shut that down, telling him that if he really cared about her he would grow up and let them just be friends.
He accepted your relationship after that, becoming your friend as well. In fact, once he got over Bella and found a girlfriend of his own, you four would do double dates sometimes.
You and Bella were a steady couple. You knew she had a hard time letting people look after her or letting herself be happy. But you reassured her that you were on her side.
She was so grateful that you had spoken to her all those months ago.
You guys planned your future. Neither of you wanted to get married too early, letting things happen naturally. But you guys went to Arizona for university, with Bella wanting to be an English teacher
Her mother loved you, just like her dad did. Both of them seeing how much happier Bella was now that you two were together.
Your future apartment was cozy. Filled with her books, maybe a pet, and all of your love for each other.

okay so I'm like exhausted with the twilight vamp lore & honestly hate it so here's the vampire lore for my twilight muses :) derived mostly from the TVD & VA fandoms .
to be turned into a vampire - one must have vampire blood in his / her system before dying . upon waking they must feed within 24 hours to complete this transition into a vampire . the blood does not need to be from a live human but cannot be from an animal . they do not need to kill the human , either . a sip's worth will do .
vampires can turn their humanity off just like in tvd .
vampires all have fangs but have learned to talk / smile / express themselves without showing them after some time .
vampires are uncomfortable in the sunlight . the longer they are exposed the worse it gets until they begin to have health complications which can lead to stroke / passing out / etc . it weakens them so they tend to stay in more overcast areas or only come out at night .
vampires crave human blood and have a bloodlust - however , they are able to survive on animal blood . using an all animal diet does make them weaker than other vampires who are used to human blood . it does not affect their abilities . if they go without blood for long enough a vampire will petrify and be unable to move - basically becoming stone and too weak to move .
like in twilight vampires bring their biggest characteristics into the "next life" after transition leaving some with abilities ( so alice would still see the future , edward can still read minds , etc ) .
vampires can use compulsion on humans . the only way to prevent this is by the human using vervain . vervain also stings / burns when applied to a vampire by ingesting or placing on their skin . compulsion does not work on other vampires .
vampires can only be killed by being burned or a wooden stake to the heart .
vampires can ingest human food regularly but it simply does not provide any nutrition . their bodies work similarly to a humans and they are able to get pregnant / get someone pregnant . the children would then be hybrids . the hybrids would not tear through the mother as in twilight and they grow at a regular rate ( freezing when they reach maturity ) - but they do need blood to survive ( although they can also survive on human food for a time - they just simply grow weak ) . the sun is uncomfortable to them but does not pose health risks to a hybrid .
vampires can become high / intoxicated they just have a higher tolerance for such things .
a werewolf bite is not fatal to a vampire but does cause immense pain and it takes way longer to heal from . the shape-shifters in la push are the only known creatures able to rip apart a vampire with their teeth long enough to burn the pieces and kill them .

This is how I think Renesmee looks like, and I don't mean it as a eewww stinky demon doll baby.
I think she would look like a literal doll, porcelain skin but with the little blush and rosy lips, unusual eye color, healthy hair and precious curls. And the way Rosalie (yes, Rosalie not Bella) dresses her wouldn't help with her blending in with a normal human child.
I think most people go for the horrible looking puppet on Twilight that they kinda forget how she's supposed to look like.
And yes, I got my interpretation from the Illustrated guide.
I don't care about Renesmee enough to hate her, she's a little creepy and I love that honestly, you go demon baby! terrorize everyone around you, girl!

‘And you’re still hungry for her’- Jasper Hale Headcannons!!
• A southern gentleman through and through. He greets those he likes (and who he can control himself around) with a smile and a ‘Well, Hello there.’ while tipping his imaginary cowboy hat.
• He says ma’am and sir even if he is 10x older than the person he is talking too.
• Did I say he was a gentleman? Jasper likes to hold the door for those behind him, waits for the person who is tying their shoe, listen to the person who was cut off in the middle of a conversation, offers his friends to stand under the umbrella with him while it pours down rain, offer to pay sometimes.
• When first being with you, he had to keep a distance for a long while. He wasn’t sure that he could handle himself and was scared of hurting you on accident. But with the help of Edward, Bella and Alice, he was able to spend more time with you and realize he won’t hurt you.
• One of his hobbies is playing baseball and he loves to have you watch him play, but he loves it more when he gets to teach you. His cold hands over your warm ones on the bat as Alice tosses the ball in your direction. Teaching you how to throw the ball with enough force to get it to hit hard.
• His body is absolutely freezing, so please bare with him when he touches you with his cold hands. The worst thing is when your cooking with Bella and he comes over with his cold hands offering to help, placing his hand on your shoulder.
• He smells like a lot of things, but the ones I can pick up on the most are pine wood, blood, rain, and old spice.

So first off, I think thst you being Bella's older sister and living with Charlie kinda changes the story a bit. First off there's something special about you, but you living with humans all your life none notices.
You were about two when your parents devorced so when it came to living situations you stayed with your father.
You met the Cullens before Bella even showed up. Like everyone else at Forks High to took notice to the family. You weren't upsets with figuring out their background like everyone else though.
Your first day meeting Jasper was his first day in your history class. The only empty seat left was next to you.
He hesitated as he sat down next you. When he did he tensed up and turned his nose away. You glared at him wanting to know what his problem was. When the bell rang he was out in a flash.
The next few days he didn't show up. When he did he remained silent but didn't turn his nose like you stunk.
Instead of turning his nose away he would silently look at you then turn away before he would get cought. This went on through out the class. You would look at him then look away before he noticed.
The first words you actually exchange words till you had to work on a history project together.
“your name is y/n Swan right?” he asked. You nodded immediately falling for his southern accent. “yeah, and your Jasper”
He smiled slightly. “sorry for being so rued last week” you shrugged. “not a big deal, we all have bad days”
You guys continued to talk and he quickly got comfortable talking to you. He started to fall for everything about you. He knew you were his mate but he started finding small and big details about you that made him enternally thankful it was you.
Jasper took another aproch than his dear brother when it came to relationships. He 'corted' you by becoming friends with you first, you actually became best friends. As your relationship grew you became close to his siblings too, especially rose.
Your first date was the movies and suprisenly you guys just sat there for two hours laughing at the gore in the horror movie you picked.
After your first date he confessed to being a vampire and to his reilef you didn't freak out. He was so scared that you would leave him but he didn't want to lie to you.
“I understand if your scared... But I didn't want to start our relationship with a lie”
I immediately wrapped your arms around him and hugged him tight. “I don't care, I still want to be with you”
You started officially dating about a month before Bella showed up.
You don't get along with Bella or your mother, so let's just say you weren't thrilled when you found out she was moving to forks.
During the time she started to settle in at home with you and Charlie you spent more time with Jasper and his family. You told Jasper that you two never got along and the hate and neglect your mother caused you.
The first time Bella saw Jasper is when he was picking you up for school. She kept pushing on who he was but you bairly awnsered. “he's my boyfriend, bella”
Dispite Bella and Edward dealing with their problems you and Jasper have a very strong relationship.
You two may not have much in common but that doesn't mean you two don't show interest in each other's Passions.
Your a movie nerd so he'll happily watch any movie with you. He's a history buff and he's was around for most of it so if he wants to talk about something you'll always there to listen.
Speaking of history, it didn't take long for him to open up about him training new borns and Maria using him.
He's very gentle with you at first, he would hate himself if he ever hurt you, but later on in the relationship he's more confident and isn't afraid to touch you as much.
Speaking of which, his kisses are always full of passion and love. His favorite place to kiss you is on your forehead beacuse of how much taller he is than you.
He's always holding your hand. He always needs to be touching you and needs to be close to you. Emmett teases him for being Clingy but it's mostly just an anxiety thing, especially if he's around Humans he needs to ground himself by holding your hand or his arms around you.
If your wondering, Charlie loves him. At first he thought Jasper was weird(much like Edward) but he appreciated how kind and and well mannered he was. He knew he could trust Jasper with you.
Through your relationship with Jasper you had also gained a best friend through Rosalie and Emmett.
Rosalie loved you immediately and took you under her wing. Alice is a loyal friend but your not thst close.
Carlisle and Esme are like your second parents and they love you like your part of the family.
During the events of New Moon Jasper refused to break your heart. He knew that was Edward's plan with Bella, but he's not Edward. Yes they did move but you two stayed in contact. He would call you every day and you'll see each other on weekends.
He came to your graduation during the time the whole family moved then proposed to you a few months later.
Your wedding was unfortunately put on hold due to the who new-born army. It didn't bother you, you understood under the circumstances but Jasper was furious with not only Bella but Edward too. It wasn't their fault, he knew that, but then again Bella made it all about her and ignored the fact the vampires were after you too.
During the battle you were hurt causing Jasper to turn you. He didn't want to and he blamed himself for fighting instead of protecting you.
You loved being a vampire and never once blamed him. And it's a good thing he had experience with New-borns beacuse he was with you every step of the way during your transition.
You had your wedding about four months before Edward and Bella's. You went to Memphis for your honeymoon and stayed out till it was time to go home for the other wedding.
Oh I forgot to mention, Bree survived and since you were now an adult you and Jasper adopted her as your own. Your amazing parents and you three make an adorable family.
Later on in life and when everything was peaceful, no one dying or fighting, you two adpot two twins. They were both infants and needed loving parents.
Jasper is very loving husband and even if being a vampire is hard sometimes you wouldn't change your life for anything.

Edward
To find his other half and their blood not fully rile him up or antagonize his family was a blessing all on its own, other than the fact that he found his mate (removing the brooding emo dude from the Cullen's lives and making him a decent teen) and to make things even more interesting was how you're his opposite, kind of acted more like his coven brother Emmett (which no one admits to his face)
Emmett
Enamored by you since the second he laid eyes on you. Swears up and down by any god he and his family believe in (with the whole vampires have no soul, who knows what they actually believe in) that he was saved by an angel especially as he was bleeding out due to deep claw marks from that damn bear and will call you "his angel" till the end of time (which might be never) because you are, in fact, his angel
Jasper
Definitely a good thing he met you when he did. Meeting you just a little after his time with Maria definitely changed him for the better and he will forever believe it because he knows for a fact that you are the one who saved him before you two found the Cullen clan, but thing is, only Edward knows this for sure because it's hard for him to talk about his feelings (not wanting to affect the family, his powers can get crazy when he admits his feelings)
Alice
She was so excited when she had the vision of you. She obviously knew way before you that you two were going to meet but it was still interesting because you're someone who can easily match her energy or turn into Edward in two seconds (an emo dude who wallows alone) either she loves you and will help you through whatever it is you're feeling
Rosalie
She was not expecting to meet her mate like ever, especially after taking care of the man she thought loved her (and was her one and only). Her revenge plan didn't do much to help her through everything but then she was turned, then you came into the picture and, even though it took some time, you are the reason she was able to change her perspective on love (all she needed was you to show her the better side of things)
Esme
After everything she went through, she never thought she'd find her mate but then she did and strongly believes that you are the one who managed to save her from herself. Even though she's never admitted this to you, she's always going to be forever thankful for you and all that you've done (even if you think you haven't done much) you saving her before she could go through with her plan was a blessing all on its own
Carlisle
After being on his own with the kids for as long as he has, he wasn't sure he'd ever be able to find his mate but then funnily enough to him and you, at least, everyone thought he'd met his other half while working but then he met you while he was doing the most basic thing he could, buying another car (this was when things were cheap too and before they moved to Forks... again)
Bella
Even though they changed her because she knew too much (and the Volturi demanded it) and wasn't going to end up with Edward because he found his true mate, she's glad she took the chance and turned otherwise she would have never met you a few years after everything happened and Edward got married. But hey, sometimes you've got to go through a little heartbreak in order to meet your other half (or as they say in the supernatural world, mate)

Recently re-read new moon and the search party section of the book (post forest break up) just seems so nightmarish to me now. Charlie not immediately putting out a search or alert for the Cullens (who just so happened to have all left town after their son was last seen with the missing teen girl), makes sense since he does not want to think badly of them. But poor Billy, who must be head in hands at home panicking because he told her this would happen and oh God his friends child is now dead and there was nothing more he could have done. I'd have lit bonfires as well knowing she was okay and they have left the town, forever and unharmed.
(I love yours and vinelles work, even when it inspires me to re-read the series with the context of being an adult and also very concerned lol)
It's a beautiful thing that Charlie never again likes Edward after New Moon and that neither Bella nor Edward fully realize why this is the case.
