So! I have been seeing a ton of grimoire ideas and thought I’d stuff them all together. A lot of ideas are from @manifestationsofasort, @banebite, and @pigeonflavouredcake. Check them out! They have a ton of cool stuff there.
What Do I Use For My Grimoire?
You can use anything for a grimoire! For a physical one, journals, binders, and notebooks are good. For digital ones, Notion, Tumblr, Docs, and even just your file folder are great.

How do cards gain meaning in an occult sense? Like, both tarot and french-suited playing cards started as game pieces, but they have gained an understood meaning. Is it just someone whips up an organized table of connected ideas or is each card interpreted from a certain framework?
Oh good question!
Many things that we now consider staples of western magic are ideas that have been added to over generations by several layers of thinkers. Tarot Divination specifically is an excellent example of this!
In 1770, A french printmaker and occultist going by Etteilla published a book about how to do cartomancy with a 32-card Piquet deck. He writes down some simple but strict associations for the cards, and makes what is probably the first mention of reversals in carotmancy. He said that he learned the system "from an Italian." Now, its unclear how much of the system is his own invention, people have been doing cartomancy for as long as there's been cards, but the text presents a larval, bare-bones version of the cartomancy methods we know and love today.
Its 1780-ish. The Rosetta stone hasn't been discovered yet. Occult-inclined Europeans are obsessed with Egypt. That's where our boy Trismegistus is from! There's a concept in Egyptian mythology called The Book of Thoth, a mythical book of spells penned by the God of Knowledge himself. This was the Holy Grail for European Occult Egpytaboos.
In 1781, Antoine Court de Gébelin claimed that Tarot cards were the "original book of Thoth," Saying that Tarot cards had been used by ancient Egyptian priests for their own magical ceremonies, and that their designs contained ancient mystical secrets. This is 100% not true, but he writes a pretty fun pseudohistory for Tarot that involves Romani people bringing the decks to Europe through the Levant where they then taught its esoteric secrets to several Popes.
Then in 1783, Ettellia responded with another book. Manière de se récréer avec le jeu de cartes nommées tarots ("Way to recreate yourself with the deck of cards called tarots") Where Ettellia basically claims "uhm actually I knew about tarot divination way before Court de Gebelin published that big ass book. But anyway here's an interpretation of Tarot symbology that includes multiple references to Egyptian, Zoroastrian, and Greek mythology." But the smartest thing he did was include spread methods that involved Thoth and Numerology. Napoleonic Occultists fucking loved Thoth and numerology.
In 1788, he formed a little magical society for the express purpose of discussing and workshopping ideas for Tarot divination. In 1789, he made a TRULY smart decision, and published a Tarot deck that was Specifically For Magic, and that basically cemented Tarots place in magical history.
Occultists just kept iterating! Someone would speculate "maybe the suits correspond to the elements" and people went "yeah, they correspond to the elements! That makes this tool even more fun and interesting to use!" Then people go "What if the suits and the elements also correspond to parts of the Self?" and people went "Sure they do! That makes this tool even more interesting!"
But its also not just one thread. Eventually you get the Golden Dawn saying "The Major Arcana correspond to the nodes and paths on our version of the Quabbalistic Sefirot, you know, the hermetic version with a Q." and some occultists responded "Idk about that! Love what you've done with the color symbology though!"
The development of magical ideas is an iterative process. It is people whipping up a table of correspondences, but that table needs a mythology to keep it together. Originally, the mythology that gave tarot "power" was its Egyptian pseudohistory, but these days its the fact that occultists have been iterating on and fine-tuning this system for hundreds of years.
Humans don't think in tables of information, they think in stories. The cool thing about stories is that they're flexible. If magic is anything, its learning how to engineer stories to make the tables of information more effective.
I'm gonna plug my patreon where I post all of my occult research if you wanna see more stuff like this

Things to put in your book of shadows
Of course, only put in your book of shadows/grimoire what you want. If you don't want to put certain subjects in your book then that's fine. It's your book, utilize it how you want. This is just a masterlist of ideas that I've put together. Feel free to add anything else to the list that I may have missed, because there's absolutely no way I included everything.
And for the love of all the gods, if you come across a closed entity or practice, don't try to work with the entity or practice if you're not already part of that group or tradition. You can research it but don't practice it.

UNVEIL THE CORE ESSENCE OF YOUR BEING, PERSONALITY, AND PURPOSE WITH TAROT CARDS
Introduction:
We understand all Tarot cards as symbols. They essentially represent different aspects of our lives that reside in our souls and our subconscious minds. When we read Tarot cards, we are reading our energy, we are intuitively looking at our subconscious. We think of them as a mirror that reflects the multiple dimensions of our spirit to help us understand situations much better, and make our life more conscious and meaningful.
What are Tarot birth cards?
Tarot birth cards are symbols that shape our identity and lives from the moment we are born. They are our essence, an energy imprint, or even a map - like a birth chart but for Tarot cards- that can unlock a new understanding of ourselves, and all the potential of our life purpose.
Each of us has a pair of Major Arcana cards that represent our core self, so today I decided to explain all combinations. I explained the cards separately so you can combine them and see intuitively how they play out in your life.
Also, be noted that I only explain the "light" manifestation of each of them. So for example, if it says "selfless" the shadow aspect/backward expression of them is the opposite, "selfish". Or if it says "truth-seeker" its shadow would be "know-it-all". If you are curious about the shadow aspect of your birth cards or anything about them you can send me a question and I'll be happy to help.
Hey, don't forget to check out the awesome video link at the end of the post! It's worth watching if you want to dive deeper into the topic. Have a great time exploring!
Now let´s calculate yours!
and hope you enjoy it *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
How do I calculate mine?
The easiest way for me is to use the same method that we use to calculate our Life path number in numerology:
We add each digit of our birth date
m+m+d+d+y+y+y+y
Example: 11/22/1989
1+1+2+2+1+9+8+9= 33
2. We reduce it
3+3= 6
6 is The Lovers and The Devil (6 and 15).
As you can see, we got a pair of numbers that corresponds to a pair of Major Arcana cards.
important: IF YOU GET A 19, YOU HAVE TO REDUCE IT TWICE AND YOU´LL GET 3 MAJOR ARCANA: 19 (The Sun) -> 1+9=10 (The Wheel of Fortune) -> 1+0=1 (The Magician).
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Tumblr media
1 and 10: The Magician, The Wheel of Fortune
The Magician: This energy has the ability to manifest anything. Your essence is skilled, cunning, tricky, scheming. You posses autonomy and initiative. You are an independent thinker. You have a great potential, but you also put in the work and have a lot of fun in the process. You are diplomatic and you reject bias. Entrepreneur. Self-motivated. You are honest and direct.
The Wheel of Fortune: You are lucky or at least, you know how to feel lucky to attract blessings. You understand the cycles of life and therefore you have the ability to co-create with the Universe intelligently. You often get surprised by the events in your life. You know how to use opportunities in your favor. Manifesting is something that you probably did consciously since young.
Tumblr media
19: The Sun (ALSO READ 1 AND 10)!
Adding to 1 and 10 cards, The Sun supplies your soul of creativity, popularity, happiness, honesty, harmony and serenity. You are a good friend. You are loyal and bring harmony, love and satisfaction to everyone´s lives. You are a leader, a celebrity, and people look up to you.
Tumblr media
2 and 11: The High Priestess, Justice
The High Priestess: You are sensitive and wise. You are aware of the subtle, small details. You are able to find the point of unity, the basics of the Universe, and you understand how everything is connected. You are intuitive, compassionate, and loving. You excel at anything related to the occult, the mysteries of the Universe and human psyche, and anything related to relationships, unions, and secrets.
Justice: You are unbiased, rational, harmonious. You know what´s right and what´s wrong and trust in natural order and the balance of things. You value truth more than anyone else. You are good with law, philosophy, and karma.
Tumblr media
2 and 20: The High Priestess, Judgment
Same qualities above for the High Priestess, combined with Judgment.
Judgment: The Judgment card adds in to the HP themes of awakening, spirituality, renovation. You may be someone who questions the status quo and the established norms and structures. You have the calling to awaken other people so you can rebuild and improve the system. You could connect to different dimensions and be a medium or have psychic abilities. You are otherworldly. You are also highly empathetic and sensitive.
Tumblr media
3 and 12: The Empress, The Hanged Man
The Empress: You enjoy helping other people, creating, and giving birth to something. You embody kindness, intelligence, expressiveness, communication and abundance. You are dynamic and could be good at doing many things, you likely do all at the same time. You are good at communicating your ideas with others and you give others creative insights.
The Hanged Man: You are artistic, original, altruistic and idealistic. You see the world from a different perspective and you always contribute with clever ideas. You are witty and have the potential to become a genius. You are generous.
Tumblr media
3 and 21: The Empress, The World
Here the qualities of the Empress are combined with those of The World card, so your creativity results in perfection, success, wholeness, finding your place in the world, feeling and being rewarded, self-realization. You are someone generous who help people with their creations and you make them realize their special place in the world as well. You are greatly admired. You are positive about people and life.
Tumblr media
4 and 13 : The Emperor, Death
The Emperor: You are gifted with stability, strength, structure and practicality. You are powerful, hard-working and generous. You have integrity and good morals. You protect what needs protection and give structure and functionality to things. You are methodical and pragmatic.
Death: Death combined with the Emperor can reestructure and make radical changes to the world. You know when things need to die and be rebirthed in new forms. You can transform the world with authority, integrity and diligency.
In case you got 4 and 22, The 22 can be considered The Fool. You can either consider the Fool along with The Emperor and Death, or only read the explanation above and dismiss it. If you choose to consider the Fool, read below:
The Fool: I picture it as if you were the Emperor but with a good sense of humor, carefree, crazy, not making sense at times, chaotic, and extravagant. It makes me think of "dad jokes". You do not take anything too seriously. You restructured things spontaneously and the result may not make a lot of sense. Or it could be that you make more of a freedom-oriented restructure/change. You are an innocent and energetic leader. Maybe you don´t even understand why people may see you as a leader or follow you, because you don´t even take yourself seriously and are very disorganized, lol.
(edit): When I was writing about this combo, the new president of Argentina Javier Milei came to my mind. He talks about re-structuring the country, making economic transformations, solving the problems of the economy and poverty, and changing the country for the better. But he also has a silly personality, he's kinda funny and people make fun of him, they call him crazy, they even speculate about him having mental illnesses, and he doesn't make sense to A LOT of people. At that time I was lazy to search for his number but I just did and you know what? He is a 4 and a 22. 😳
Tumblr media
5 and 14: The Hierophant, Temperance
The Hierophant: You are a teacher, someone wise who shares their knowledge and wisdom. You are patient, merciful, and modest. You guide others to goodness. You respect religion, tradition and family structures with open-mindedness and flexibility. You see everything as an experience and adventure and you like exploring different philosophies without getting attached.
Temperance: You can adapt to different people, ideas and environments, and you can bring different people together with peace, harmony and respect. You have the ability to solve conflicts. This combo makes a mentor, a guru, or a coach. You are balanced in logic and emotions and you are seen as mature.
Tumblr media
6 and 15 (or 33): The Lovers, The Devil
The Lovers: Opposite forces, love, complements. You know how to love, not only other people but the whole Universe. You are a sensual person. You appreciate beauty, art and can excel at many different things. You are a gentle person who is good at making decisions that brings in the frequency of love to your environment. Everything you do is coded with love and passion.
The Devil: You are passionate, magnetic. You border limits. You are highly influential in whatever you do. You can control and manipulate others, which is not necessarily a bad thing, it´s just that you understand human psychology and can easily get the attention of others. With this combo you can captivate, tempt and induce lust and desire in others, so you may be working in art, music, writing, marketing, design, even animation and programming.
I also like to think of The Lovers as oxytocin and The Devil as adrenaline/dopamine. Dopamine and oxytocin together make love and bring new life into the world.
Tumblr media
7 and 16: The Chariot, The Tower
The Chariot: You are someone intelligent, energetic, analytic, and introspective, who fights for radical changes and the evolution of society. You are a truth-seeker. You are fearless. You challenge the status quo and strive for spiritual and material progress. You are curious and love to learn new things that can change the world for the better.
The Tower: You mercilessly and strongly destruct what doesn´t serve the evolution of society and humanity. You break the equilibrum to build a better one. You are a rebel. You know that the truth always comes to light, and you also make it happen. You show the world what they couldn´t see and that's why you could be triggering. But it´s for the good. You challenge wrong convictions, judgments and beliefs, and you completely destruct them.
Tumblr media
8 and 17: Strength, The Star
Strength: You are someone resilient. You know the importance of controlling your actions, impulses, thoughts, emotions and everything you do with mental strength and intelligence. You know that if you manage your own forces, you can achieve all of your goals and also help others do the same. You are very determined and optimistic. You like to work hard, not only for yourself but for others. You are an example of the word management and you like being in charge.
The Star: You give others hope and enlightment. You are inspiring. You can provide a lot of healing and regeneration. You are selfless and generous. You are strong in faith, and that way you can give others the reassurance that they need. You see the good in everything and that is what helps you get you good results and be succesful.
Tumblr media
9 and 18: The Hermit, The Moon
The Hermit: You are interested in seeing what others can´t see. You look through things. You are deeply intuitive and contemplative. You search for answers in yourself by being in silence, in solitude, and looking inwards at your subconscious mind. You are wise, capable of offering advice and solving problems or mysteries. You are the healer who heals yourself first. You are personally uninterested in worldly matters and detached from the material.
The Moon: You can see through illusions and imagination because you connect to the dream realm. You are a good psychoanalyst. You are good with the occult. You are attracted to the unknown. You are a researcher, a detective, a healer of the most mysterious diseases. You are deeply spiritual and adventurous.
Carl Jung had this combo as his birth cards and I think this quote from him really represents it: Who looks outside dreams (The Moon), who looks inside awakes (The Hermit). The funny thing is, I didn´t know he had them when I read it and thought about the cards, but I was sure he had to be and I searched it, lol. I also have these as my cards so...

Types of divination
Please note: Not all of them are going to be here. I will be covering ones that Beginner witches can use and learn as a starting point! This also isnt a guide on how to do it, its is just some ideas and what they are.
Tumblr media
Tarot and cards-
People who are unfamiliar with divination may believe that reading Tarot cards means "predicting the future." However, most Tarot card readers will tell you that the cards are only a guideline, and the reader is simply interpreting the likely outcome based on the forces at work right now. Consider Tarot as a tool for self-awareness and contemplation, rather than "fortune telling." Here are some simple steps to get you started reading and utilising Tarot cards in your divinatory practice.
Tumblr media
Norse Runes-
According to Norse epic sagas, Odin created the Runes as a gift to humanity a long time ago. These sacred and holy symbols were originally etched in stone. Over time, they grew into a collection of sixteen letters, each with a metaphorical and divinatory significance. Learn how to create your own set of Runes and read what they say.
Tumblr media
Reading tea leaves-
People have utilised many different ways of divination from the beginning of time. One of the most recognised is the practice of reading tea leaves, often known as tasseography or tasseomancy. This divination method, while not as ancient as some of the other famous and well-known methods, appears to have originated in the 17th century.
Tumblr media
Pendulum reading-
A pendulum is one of the most basic and easy types of divination. It's as simple as asking and answering yes/no questions. Although pendulums may be purchased commercially for between $15 and $60, they are simple to create on your own. Most people use crystals or stones, but you may use any object with some weight to it. There are various methods to utilise a pendulum for divination, and you'd be amazed what you may learn from "yes" and "no" replies. The secret is to learn to ask the appropriate questions.
Tumblr media
Osteomancy-
For thousands of years, tribes throughout the world have used bones for divination, a practice known as osteomancy. While there are several approaches, the goal is usually the same: to predict the future using the signals revealed in the bones.
Tumblr media
Numerology-
Numerology is a discipline that many Pagan spiritual groups utilise. According to the basic concepts of numerology, numbers have a tremendous degree of spiritual and magical importance. Some numbers are more strong and powerful than others, and combinations of numbers can be created for magical purposes. In addition to magical correspondences, numerals have planetary importance.
Tumblr media
Intuition-
Intuition is the capacity to know things without being told. Many intuitives make outstanding Tarot card readers because their ability offers them an advantage when reading cards for clients. This is sometimes known as clairsentience. Of all psychic talents, intuition may be the most frequent.

Elminx's Boundary Spell (My Side/Your Side): December 2023
Tumblr media
Note: This is not a very beginner-friendly spell. I apologize for that. There are a lot of working pieces that need to be here. Does that mean that you can't cast this as a beginner? Of course not. If you think you have a handle on what it involves, go for it.
This spell is designed to create strong boundaries around yourself for the holiday season of December '23. We are harnessing the power of the magic word "ABACADABRA" to create boundaries and a clear delineation between what is "yours" and what is "not yours." This spell relies heavily on folk magic, candle magic, and numerology but can be adapted in any way that suits your practice. It can be used to create a very generalized boundary or used surgically to keep away the acts of a particular individual, organization, or family system.
The Basic Elements of this Spell
SATURN
This spell is designed to harness the intense energy of the many Saturn transits we will experience throughout December 2023 to form a protective boundary. Saturn, as one of the seven planetary powers, is available to all people on this planet. You can work directly with Saturn for this spell (making it folk magic, candle, magic, numerology, AND planetary magic) or not. That is up to you. If you wish to do this magic working directly with the planetary energy of Saturn, I suggest you do so on a Saturday, during the hour of Saturn, or on the day of one of our many Saturn transits. You do not need to leave an offering to work with one of the planetary powers, but I suggest doing so.
FOLK MAGIC
This spell uses the magic power of the word "ABACADABRA" to both create a forceful magic boundary and to decrease the influence of what you are working to remove from your life.
This is done by writing the word itself, either in increasing letters from A to AB to ABA and so on until you spell the full word "ABRACADABRA" in the creation of an upwards-facing triangle (to create or bring something towards you) or in decreasing letters from ABRACADABRA, and then ABRACADABR until you are simply left with A in a downwards-facing triangle (to decrease or rid yourself of something).
Like many types of folk magic, there is no clear origin to this word though it has been sourced to at least the second century. You will find many theories of its meaning, but I want to challenge you with a different idea: its meaning doesn't matter. The magic of this word isn't in its meaning, it's in the numbers.
NUMEROLOGY
ABRACADABRA is an 11-letter word.
When we are additively creating something we start with 1 letter A and add 10 more to create our final product of "ABRACADABRA".
When we are removing something, we start with the word "ABRACADABRA" and remove 10 letters to create our final product A.
I wrote about the basics of numerology recently. One of the applications of numerology is that we can work forward from 1 moving to a high number to bring something towards fruition, and can work backward going from a higher number to a lower to remove something. Note here that as I mentioned in my post, ABRACADABRA magic uses numbers from 1-10 (like the tarot) rather than the base 1-9 I talked about.
In this way, the word here "ABRACADABRA" isn't essentially important and any word could work so long as you use the basics of this spell. You could use the word "Boundaries" if you wished.
For the purposes of this spell, we will stick with the word ABRACADABRA as it has a long and storied association with magic, and that has uses as well.
CANDLE MAGIC
When used specifically with a target in mind, this spell has a lot in common with cord cutting. You could choose to add a cord between your two candles and make this spell a cord cutting if you wish. The reason that I don't do this is that would make this spell more flammable. Please use fire safely.
The Spell
You will need:
2 Candles* Candle holders (optional) Banishing or Protection Oils (optional) 1 fire-safe plate or tray for candle burning A piece of paper and pen, or chalk makers to draw on plate A notebook or piece of scrap paper Black Salt - See Notes 1-4 Stones - See Notes (optional) Herbs or curious specific to your intention (optional) Tag locks for your target (optional)
*depending on your situation, many different types of candles may work here. I suggest free-standing candles so that you can read the wax, but use what works best for you. You may wish to use a figure candle to represent yourself and use any color associations that work with your practice
Tumblr media
Brainstorming Get a pen and piece of paper and figure out what you want to remove or create boundaries around for this holiday season. You may know immediately what this is, or it may take some thought. Do you want to ensure that your father-in-law doesn't sexually harass you? Are you looking to absorb less energy from the people you have to encounter in your work environment? (I'm looking at you retail workers...I'm so sorry) Do you want your needy neighbor to leave you alone?
Prepare your ingredients. This can be simple or complex depending on your process and traditions. I give a lot of optional things that you can add to this spell to individualize it your needs. Keep in mind what you just brainstormed above - what is the outcome you want out of this spell? If you want protection at work, add in a way to bring this spell to work with you - perhaps in a bottle you keep on your desk or as a sachet you carry in your pocket. I would also suggest making a small batch of black salt specific to this working - you can start with a base of culinary black salt if you have it (the sulfur certainly adds an extra oomph), but regular salt will do here as well. Write what you want to be rid of (John S. Doe or my workplace's Full Name) on a small piece of paper and burn it down to ash. Mix the salt, the ash, and other botanicals that provide protection or banishment to create the black salt for this spell.
ABRACADABRA The first step in constructing this spell is the writing of our magic world: ABRACADABRA. Your final product should look like the graphic above ^^^ with the full word in the middle and two triangles stretching to the top and bottom of your space. If you can, write on your surface using dry-erase markers or chalk. If it's not possible, you can use a piece of paper. You want the full word ABRACADABRA to be the center line in your working space. Note: This spell (we are really and truly doing spelling here, folks) takes up a lot more space than you think it will. It is 21 lines, to be exact. You may get the spacing wrong and have to start over. It's okay. We've all been there. Ideally, because we are working this spell Away from ourselves, you would want to start writing from the top of the "page" - starting with A, working all the way to Abracadabra, and moving back to A. This may not be possible for you because it can take a lot of spatial awareness to get the ABRACADABRA in the middle this way. If you need to write that first and work your way out to both A's, that will work fine. We will also add in the movement part of this later in the spell.
ADD YOUR CANDLE TO THE PLATE Setting candles is a personal process that can vary among different traditions. In a way that works best for you, I suggest becoming better acquainted with the candle you will use to represent yourself during this spell. This can be done in many different ways. You can carve your name and date of birth into the candle. You can rub the candle over your body to absorb your essence, breathe life into it, charge your candle with energy, and let it sit on your altar; the possibilities are endless. If you have a skin-safe protection oil, you can anoint both the candle and yourself to create a strong sympathetic link. The process can take as little or as long as needed. Note: one of the reasons that I suggest using a figure candle that you find to be representative of yourself here is because I personally find it easier to complete this step in a candle working when the candle looks like me Once you become acquainted with your candle, put it in the A spot at the TOP of the ABRACADABRA drawing. This is very important. You need your candle to be on the "MY SIDE" of this spell working. You want the energy to be increasing towards our magic word ABRACADABRA. Note: But Minx, there are other ways that you can turn this spell. No, this is a spell - literally spelling. We are deep in letter and word magic here. It needs to be read in the way that we are taught to read, left to right and top down. If English is not your native language and the above doesn't apply to you, that might be a sign that this is not the right spell for you. In this way, this spell is fixed - that is what is Saturnian about it.
LIGHT YOUR SIGNIFIER CANDLE Again, you should add your own magic here. However you do this, make this a power moment for you. You are in charge here. You own your own boundaries. Up until this point, we were in the creation phase of this spell and the above steps could be done in any order. From here on out, we are casting this spell. Each subsequent step should follow quickly.
CREATE YOUR ENERGETIC BOUNDARY Using your black salt, create a line across the word ABRACADABRA on your plate. This is the basis for your energetic boundary, a physical representation of the line between "My Side" (what you are bringing with you through the holiday season) and "YOUR SIDE" (all that other stuff you want to keep out). What you put here is what you will likely want to put into a spell jar or sachet to carry this magic during the month ahead. This doesn't just have to be black salt, I like to add volcanic stones to further ground my boundary into reality. This is where you should add the stones if you are including them in this spell. If you want to charge a type of charm or jewelry with the energy of this magic, you can place it in the center of the Top/"MY SIDE" half of the spell. (Consider putting it into a dish of some kind to keep it away from potential wax spillage) Really focus here on building your boundary. You can do this by speaking aloud, affirmations, energy work, or any other way that suits your practice. You may wish to say the word "ABRACADABRA" aloud after you have finished this step. DO NOT CONTINUE ON TO THE NEXT STEP OF THIS SPELL UNTIL YOUR BOUNDARY IS SOLID AND COMPLETE.
CREATE AND PLACE THE OTHER CANDLE The big thing here is that you should tag lock this candle to the things that you are keeping out of your life. You can use names and dates of birth, business names, business cards, or anything that piques your fancy here. If this is a general protection spell to keep other people's shit at bay you can write "YOUR SIDE" on the candle. You can add a banishing oil here if you would like. Place the candle on or near the bottom A spot on the "YOUR SIDE" half of the spell. It should be below the line of your boundary. THIS IS IMPORTANT. See above.
LIGHT AND WORK YOUR CANDLE SPELL This is the kind of spell that I think benefits substantially from the caster using their words to power this spell. After you light the candle, talk about what you have created a boundary against. If you are protecting yourself from a particular person or group of people, address them. If you are doing general protection, you can address the candle itself or the planet Saturn. It doesn't have to be long-winded or eloquent. You definitely can write a rhyming couplet if that's your thing, but a few strong words straight from your heart are fine, too. Depending on your environment and the type of candles you use, this spell might burn out quickly or require days to complete. Please practice safe candle practices and extinguish your candles if you will not be present. If you wanted to use numerology to boost this work, performing the ritual for 4 days (for the structure of Saturn and our 4 sided drawing) would be appropriate.
THE AFTERMATH
As written, this spell is intended to last from the time you cast it until at least 1/1/24. It could last longer. Unless you write an end date until this somehow, this spell will last as long as you are upkeeping it somehow. That said, I am not intending for this spell to be upkept - this spell is designed specifically to protect you during the holiday season which ends on 1/1.
I suggest keeping this spell intact until this date. There are multiple ways to do this. You could keep your tray out on your altar through the rest of the month. You could keep a portion of the boundary salt in a spell jar or other container. If you have charged a charm, that will carry the energy of the spell. After 1/1, dismantle the spell and cleanse your objects or space. When you eventually dispose of this spell, you can do it in any fashion that works well with your practice.
VARIATIONS ON A THEME
There are as many ways to make this spell your own as there are people who cast spells. You can work more closely with Saturn energy by using days or the week or planetary hours, as mentioned above. You can use petition papers, prayers, oils, herb blends, and anything else that you incorporate regularly in your practice. You can include your deities, ancestors, or familiar spirits.
I want to touch on a few ways that I can see to alter it for specific situations.
BANISHMENT
If you are using this spell to banish a particular person, I would immediately collect the remains of the "your side" candle and put them into a small spell jar with additional banishing components and dispose of this jar off of my property. I would personally use a public trashcan, perhaps in a space of public transit to show that I would like them to move AWAY from me.
If using a spell like this to banish, I find it especially useful to do a wax reading on the "Your Side"/Target candle to see how successful the spell will be. Note here if the wax from this candle moves towards or crosses over the black salt boundary. Some people are very persistent and will need stronger magic than this. PROTECTION OF THE SELF
I touched on this above, but I wanted to reiterate this here. If you need to bring this spell with you out into the world (when you go to work or to a holiday party) - BRING THE SPELL WITH YOU. Take a small bit of your boundary black salt and seal it into a small bottle or wrap it in a piece of cloth to make a sachel. Alternatively, you could charge a charm with this spell and bring the charm with you. PROTECTION OF YOUR HOME
This can take on a couple of different forms. If you work from home and need protection over your devices to keep out people's unnecessary shit, try charging an object that you can keep next to your computer or device. (something that you can wear on you while you work might work here, too) If you are inviting people into your home from the holidays, you might wish to take your protective black salt barrier and line the doors to your home with it. (Under a welcome mat works perfectly for this) You can instruct this barricade to do nearly anything - remove unnecessary negativity for anybody who crosses over it, as an example.
EMPATH PROTECTION
Yeah, I know, it's a taboo word these days, IDGAF. Some people need energetic protection from other people's emotional spew. That's just the way it is. Whether it is actual psychic empathy or unhealed hypervigilance, the end result is the same. This spell absolutely can help with this. I don't think that it's a good long-term solution, but I know from personal experience that the holidays are rough for HSPs. I highly suggest using lava stone (porous basalt) as a part of your energetic barrier if you are struggling with this. This is entirely my UPG but lava stone filters impurities out of water and I have used it effectively to filter out unwanted emotional input on many occasions. In this case, I would use the lava stone in the barrier and then carry it on me for the duration of the spell. I must reiterate this though: this is a stopgap and will not make you better at handling overwhelming emotions or emotional output from other people in the long term. Use it sparingly because it can dim your emotional input overall which has other yucky side effects.
****
I really hope y'all find this helpful. Though this spell is drawing on our strong Saturnian influence during the month of December, it could be used at any time with or without Saturn's influence.
Do you like my work? You can support me over on Kofi.

Once upon a time, the Universe encompassed everything without polarity or external existence. It remained unmanifested, eagerly awaiting the creation process:
Within this vastness, we encounter the concept of the Zero (0), which neither stands alone nor represents anything individually but rather signifies the entirety of existence.
At the genesis, the number One (1) emerges, initiating and opening the doors to the unknown. It perceives the universe's beauty with excitement, forging ahead as the first entity. Filled with the will to explore all realms, it is characterized by exuberance and represents the Yang energy (masculine essence).
Opposing the One is the number Two (2), which mirrors its magnitude but stands as an opposing force. It possesses its own identity while embodying contrasting qualities and directions. This duality gives rise to polarity and represents the Yin energy (feminine essence).
The number Three (3) symbolizes creativity and the essence of life. It encompasses the promotion of all things—One promoting Two, Two promoting Three, and Three promoting subsequent elements. As action requires order, the Three brings organization into the mix.
Stability is embodied by the number Four (4), representing order through routine and solidity. It establishes boundaries, emphasizing the importance of discipline and setting limits. By integrating the initiative of One, the intuition of Two, and the creativity of Three, we arrive at the holistic concept of Four.
The number Five (5) represents adventure and experimentation—embracing pleasure, joy, and transgression. It encourages pushing beyond limitations, taking risks, and venturing into the uncertain. Five serves as the number of challenges, signifying a pathway that may deviate from safety.
Reparation takes form in the number Six (6), representing the experience of adjustment and restoration. It signifies the return to one's family, embodying qualities of decision-making, courage, and even shame.
Persistence finds its essence in the number Seven (7), symbolizing unwavering willpower, spirituality, and the determination to go the extra mile for self-improvement. It encompasses the belief in doing more, having faith, and putting in efforts to recover from past mistakes.
Productivity thrives in the number Eight (8), as it denotes prosperity that is proportionate to one's efforts. The better one performs, the more abundant the rewards life bestows. It represents the realm of paid work, where understanding one's abilities and talents becomes instrumental in leading a fulfilling life. By adopting a work routine, one earns more than they spend and develops the wisdom of saving, understanding the benefits it brings to both the individual and the collective.
Maturity unveils itself in the number Nine (9), signifying acquired wisdom and life experience that now carry a social responsibility. With a focus on helping others and offering support through their own experiences, the individual embraces a concern for the social and collective aspects of life. As they reflect on their accomplishments, they prepare themselves to embark on new experiences.
Realization dawns in the number Ten (10), representing the culmination of one's journey. It stands as a testament to their strength, prompting them to reflect on their personal history and acknowledge the value of learning from every experience life has offered. Understandiang the importance of caring for those less fortunate, they find fulfillment, dignity, and a zest for life.

Last sunset on 2023. Thank goodness and goddess this year is over.
We are leaving a year 7 which is when we were meant to awaken. Those awakening wonders no doubt benefitted, but I neglected my path.
Oh boy, did I reawaken though in the last few months... I literally went back to my original awakening in 2003 and followed my path I took to reach Wicca. Which started way back... joining an Ashram learning about Sivananda Buddhism, vegetarianism, studying in earnest the concepts of Eastern religion- Feng Shui, Numerology - and studying the ancient art of natal charts and astrology, feeling lost and having too many questions about why religion did not have the answers.
I reread Celestine Prophecy, I had someone approach me this year as an adept who asked for a reading list... oh boy the list of books was extensive. Just on how to reach the basic understanding that there is a source, the source is the Divine and the Divine lives in you. Your choice on how to treat the Divine. You've heard that biblical phrase "My body is a temple". Indeed everyone's body is a temple. Treat it that way.
Later joining JUST which was a monthly philosophy group, and hearing and debating concepts that I had never yet considered. Also at that time experiencing my fear of giving up Christianity and formal religion, but yet choosing to! How liberating it felt! To embrace the esoteric and mysticism to move beyond and above and discover secret knowledge. To begin the Craft and observance of the Wheel of the Year. To practice the Sabbats and observe them. And finally to become a 1st degree priestess in CAM in 2022. I think I've done my 2nd degree work during a year of challenges without any real consciousness and I have started to formulate my great work which I hope to accomplish during 2024. Relating to empaths, children of the source who come to endure and suffer, in order to awake others and yet who through this process end up as broken souls. It will be a work around #mentalhealthawareness
Then going on through the years...Learning tarot divinination, accepting that my psychic abilities were something I was born with and it was not a bad thing like church taught us. Embracing my psychic dreams, seeing my prophecies come true and understanding that for the first time listening to your dreams, intuitions and hunches is a good and natural thing. Not one to be ashamed about... because the Divine is in you! We are all fragments of the same source and to that same source we are all bound to return, but many lose The Way. Some never find it and are destined to circle the bottom of the mountain forever... seeking a way up. The book Riding the Lion explains this concept best in my opinion.
In this year without me realizing, I completed a circle again that took me 20 years before. And in hermitage and study in the last three weeks I found the real me again. I stand proud for Wiccan culture and the wisdom of the old Gods. Paganism is true understanding of the mysteries of the Universal Laws of Nature. These apply across all creeds, cultures and ethnicities. As our world becomes more intermingled my 🙏 is that we start to form a universal understanding of all as it is above and so it is below. )0(

So let's dive into what I think will help you all. Regarding a basic concept of the vibration numerological of any given year.
The equation is simple. 2+0+2+3=7
~~~~~~
The 7 is the philosopher and the seeker. When we are in a 7 Year cycle, this is a time of spiritual awakenings, knowledge gathering, solitude, and inward focus. Are you ready for self-reflection and to dive deep into the inner workings of your spiritual self?
The collective will undergo major shifts in how we think, see, and view the world this year. Our sense of spirituality is growing tremendously and we may see shifts in our philosophies and spiritual beliefs. If you do not consider yourself a spiritual person, this year you may start to explore your spirituality more—either on purpose or by accident (say, for example, through a sudden spiritual awakening).
The 7 is the seeker of all knowledge, spiritual and otherwise. Its greatest purpose is to be a student of life and to commit itself to a sacred calling. What topics have you been drawn to that support your inner growth? Follow that path. The 7 knows that the answers we are seeking can only be found within, when we silence the noise around us and allow ourselves to surrender.
What awaits us in an 8 vibration year?
CREATIVE NUMEROLOGY
YOUR JOURNEY THROUGH THE CYCLES OF TIME ~ ~ by Christine DeLorey
THE 8 YEAR CYCLE
THE 8 YEAR is a time to develop personal power. It is a journey of true understanding, reward, balance, and achievement.
Whatever the soul knows how to seek, it cannot fail to obtain. ~Margaret Fuller
You get what you want in the 8 Year. You really do. However, if what you want is out of touch with reality, it could end up being a liability, and if you do not know what you want, life will react with the same level of uncertainty! This year, you must be specific and realistic. The 8 Year is a time of self empowerment, which starts with the often startling realization of how little power you actually have in the world, and that it is up to you to regain your power and find a way to live as freely as possible.
This year, you will prosper according to the strength of your determination, the accuracy of the information you take in, and the depth of your awareness. Throughout the year, your ability to make things happen and get things done will increase. Your expectations will rise, along with your confidence and feelings of satisfaction.
Last year was deeply emotional and confusing for you, but it enabled you to answer many questions about who you really are and why your life is as it is. It had to be that way so you could know what your needs actually are. Now, enough is enough. It’s time to get down to business! You instinctively know that you must become stronger than you have ever been.
8 is the number of power, material and financial gain, achievement, reward, status, and satisfaction. The 8 Year vibration will provide the means – the personal power – with which to change the status quo and accomplish a significant goal that will alter the direction and quality of your journey.
But there is another aspect of 8 that is rarely spoken about. Yes, 8 is the number of power in the material world, but it is also the number of accurate information, without which power cannot sustain itself. In fact accurate information is not enough. There also has to be CORRECT UNDERSTANDING of that information, otherwise it is useless to you.
True understanding produces perfect balance from which visions can be turned into material reality, and through which the material experience becomes a deeply spiritual one. The feeling of inner satisfaction (contentment) is the ultimate reward of the 8 Year, but it may take all year to correctly understand why its value is so great.
It is up to you to decide precisely what you want to accomplish, and to eliminate any habits or attitudes that have held you back in the past. You may start out in one direction at the beginning of the year, only to find yourself in an entirely new situation later on. Progress will come from information or insight that you have accumulated along the way.
This year’s accomplishments are only the beginning of your long-term advancement. Remember that desire comes in two forms: from love or hate. When you are in tune with your desire that comes from love, its power can drive you, and often carries you from the inside, toward external success. Trust it. The events and circumstances of this 8 Year will lead you from one evolutionary experience to the next. Each will bring you closer to your ‘right place’ in the world. A sense of belonging is one of the most precious rewards on offer this year, but this quest must begin with where you are.
If you are not happy where you are, then it is up to you to do what is necessary to change your circumstances. Your ‘right place’ is not necessarily a matter of geographical location. Being where you want to be can also refer to matters of love, relationship, health, status, finances, or any area where improvement is desired. Whatever your desire may be, it is important to treat it as a reachable ambition. Even though your goals may be of an external nature, the ultimate goal must be the inner feeling of satisfaction, which is what happiness really is.
Material gifts and support from others will come more easily this year. You may also meet others who are searching for the warmth of personal satisfaction, truth and freedom. You can no longer endure the limitations of those who do not share or understand your need for independence and fulfilment.
At first, others may oppose you; those who think you may be aiming too high, or those who feel insecure with your ambitions. Or, you yourself may have doubts as to how you can make your desires happen when you do not appear to have the means or knowledge to do so. Or, you may be able to feel the strong potential of 8, but are unable to pinpoint what it is you really want to accomplish. Once you believe that you can create what you want if you are willing to learn HOW to make it happen, you will realize that you are exactly where you need to be to find the necessary inspiration and resources.
The 8 Year is not particularly easy-going. The material plane can be a cold and competitive place. Consistent hard work and determination are necessary. Difficult decisions will have to be made, along with adjustments that you may not be prepared for. Physical, mental, and emotional stress can result. You must take adequate time to rest and replenish your energies, even though you may not think you need to. Be sure to take frequent breaks from the work load, or you could exhaust yourself.
This year’s circumstances will expose you to many different forms of power. Some will excite you – while others will enable you to see the dire consequences of power when it is abused or neglected. However, only from a more powerful position of your own will you be able to retain your freedom and fulfill your needs. This is a year of action, efficiency, intelligence, and faith. It is a time to reap the rewards of whatever you have “invested” into life. These rewards depend largely on how much love for what you are doing is involved. Ultimately, you will learn that love has many different forms and is the greatest power of all.
You may have to reconsider the very concept of money, power, and success as the reality of these things change before your eyes. True success, in this day and age, can no longer be measured by what you take out of life but, rather, what you contribute to it. You are not here in creation to toil for others, but to create your own unique destiny. If the desire for money or power are all that is driving you, then you are likely to achieve certain goals, but their long-term potential will be far less satisfying. Recognize the power others have over you. Find ways to release yourself from their control or, at least, do not set yourself up to be controlled.
The 8 Year is a quest for inner satisfaction, contentment, and happiness. One of the first rewards of the year may come as an opportunity to finally do what you want to do – a return on your investment of having the courage to search for what you truly desire in the first place. Or, you may have the chance to bring what you already have or do to a much higher level. Seize the opportunity and bet big on yourself.
You are the only one you can count on for prosperity and security. Be aware of what is taking place in the world. This will increase your power levels and will enable you to take precautionary measures to protect your resources and reputation. You are ready to turn your life around and make it truly satisfying. This time, you are taking yourself more seriously. This time, you’re going to get it right!
An increased sense of self-importance may be felt, and this is a good sign that you are feeling both the urgency and the pleasure involved in taking charge of your own life. This is no time for false modesty or for outright arrogance; just practical application to what must be done.
Contradictory emotions will arise for the purpose of balancing your ego, not suppressing it. When your ego (your sense of self) reaches that tranquil place between over-inflation and self-depreciation, it goes peacefully to sleep while your abilities increase. It is a time to reclaim your Will and start being who you naturally are.
Be aware. And beware. What was once considered sound business sense may not apply today. Competition is not the answer to maintaining quality. Quality cannot help but suffer when competition turns into war; and it always turns into war at some point. The finest quality can only be maintained by love of quality. Remember this as you present yourself and your ideas to the world this year. Concentrate on the larger issues and move away from pettiness and dependency. Delegate as much and as fairly as possible. Aim higher than ever before. Go after what you really want and believe you’ll get it.
Introduction to Gnosis Energetic Senses Conceptualization Vs. Visualization Basics of Warding Spiritwork: First Steps
What is Divination?
As defined by the Oxford Dictionary: “Div·i·na·tion /ˌdivəˈnāSH(ə)n/ Noun noun: divination; plural noun: divinations The practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means.” This can be done through a vast variety of means.
Beginner Tips
Hold off on devoting your time on studying divination unless you want to focus primarily on it. Divination practices are a rabbit hole of research, consumerism, artist support, and practice. Without mindfulness, it is very easy to lose sight of your other studies and/or practices.
Experiment with divination tools and methodologies. Everyone divines differently. Spend time finding what works best for you. What catches your eye at first may not work for you as well as another tool or method.
Interpretation is in the eye of the beholder. Hold off on doing public readings or reading services until you’ve found your eye and your voice.
Correspondences can play a huge part in divination, not so much as building a network of connected concepts like in spellwork, but for conceptual representation. Figure out what your correspondences are.
Some divination practices are aspects of closed cultures. Be sure to research and discuss divinatory practices before trying them. Through communication, you can definitely be inspired by closed practices in your own practice, while respecting the traditions they come from.
Divination is much safer than a lot of other practices, but it is a good idea to be aware of responsible precautions.
Remain aware of diviners that use divination to proselytize or pull clients into their own personal narratives. It isn’t super common, but occurs often enough to be in the back of your mind.
Understand that divinatory practices aren’t absolute. Since it is a practice that relies on interpretation and has differing methods of use, results can vary wildly. Take readings with a grain of salt.
If you receive a suspicious or ridiculous reading, especially if it involves a deity, be sure to get a second opinion.
Sometimes, you can be too close to a situation to do readings for yourself without biased interpretations. Knowing when it is responsible to get a reading from another practitioner is important.
Don’t just read about divination, talk to practitioners. See how other people interpret their tools and what methods they use.
There are hundreds of types of divination, a lot of them are a bit ambiguous. Try to start simple and work up to the more vague practices after you have some experience under your belt.
Superstitions and omens vary wildly based on cultural context and regionality. It is best to stay away from these methods until you have more experience.
Many divination tools can have similar methods of interpretations, for a lot of them numerology can be very beneficial to understand. Especially in cartomancy.
Inventing your own tool and/or divination system can be extremely beneficial. Doing so can aid in feeling more connected to your tool. On top of that you decide how readings are meant to be interpreted.
Beginner Friendly Types of Divination
Cartomancy: Tarot, Oracle, & Lenormand
Readings done with cards.
Often involves numerology
Is read in spreads, of which there are countless variations. You can even come up with your own.
Symbology, color, composition, contrast, and context can be super helpful or even necessary for interpretations.
Often somewhat rigid in structure. Oracle decks tend to be less structured.
How you pull from your deck can have a huge effect on how well you can connect with your deck. Play around with drawing methods.
A lot of contemporary decks have booklets with meanings, but these interpretations tend to be very fluffy. Divination can and should be capable of being harsh. Many websites, such as Biddytarot are also guilty of this. Many cards can be very double edged. It’s okay to use these as references at first, but I recommend pulling away from them when you feel comfortable.
Stay away from rip-off products. Try to buy directly from the artist.
Cleromancy: Bones, Dice, & Geomancy
Tossing or dropping objects and interpreting how they land.
For many tools, there are boards or mats that are also used for interpretation.
Certain methods of bone tossing are aspects of closed cultures. Be sure to do thorough research and discuss methods with practitioners of closed cultures.
Cleromancy systems are the easiest to come up with your own.
Play around with creating your own reading mats/boards. You’d be surprised at how much it can alter interpretations.
Can be the harshest of all types of divination.
Often takes the longest to interpret as there are a lot of variables to account for.
Dowsing: Rods & Pendulums
Swinging or swaying a tool and interpreting its movements.
The easiest to learn.
The type of divination that is most likely to be biased, as it can pick up on very subtle subconscious movements of the hands and arms.
Best for yes/no questions and location divination.
Pendulums are often used with a mat/board, but they are not necessary.
Tools are “programmed” before use. Meaning that the possible answers are all stated and decided on before a reading begins. Can be more important in spiritual methods of reading, but is a responsible practice regardless.
Can easily depend on headspace and focus.
Pendulums are often cheaply produced by corporations. Try to buy directly from artists, rather than from sites like Amazon.
Numerology:
The interpretations and correspondences of numbers.
Is often used in practices like “angel numbers”, which is a whole thing. I recommend reading this article by Coin And Candle about it.
Often plays a huge role in how many divination systems are interpreted.
Is the easiest type of divination and correspondence to lead into appropriative and crystal-fascist new age practices and philosophies.
Spiritual, Energetic, Chaotic, & Symbolic Divination Methods
Despite not being discussed very often, there are a few different ways to practice divination. What method is used can have a huge impact on how you connect with each reading and each tool. I recommend having a tool devoted to each method, but work with one until you’re comfortable with it before moving on to the next. There are numerous combinations of tools and methods, so it can end up taking a very long time before something clicks.
Spiritual Method: Using your intuition to feel for which cards, bones, dice, directions, etc to use, pull, and/or how to interpret them. Often requires a state of gnosis.
Energetic Method: Employing energy work to connect to a client and then using energetic senses to feel for which cards, bones, dice, directions, etc to use, pull, and/or how to interpret them. Often requires a state of gnosis.
Chaotic Method: The idea that the universe’s absurdity and serendipity will cause parts of tools and interpretations that are based off of each situation at hand. In this method, bias can be a good thing while remaining self-aware.
Symbolic: Solely using images, correspondences, and context to interpret cards. Similar to the chaotic method, but without the bias.
Self-Awareness During a Reading
As stated above, it is very easy to be biased in your interpretations. For this reason, it is important to remain self-aware. There are several ways to achieve this:
Do multiple readings with the same question.
Have your reading verified by another diviner, without giving them the entire context.
Take some time to reflect on the reading to see how your current context of the situation could have influenced your interpretations.
Take your interpretations directly from the guide books.
Take some time before a reading to try and step away from the situation.
Send a picture of the reading and the question to another diviner to see how they would interpret it.
Safety Practices
There is a lot of hype and fear mongering around divination, especially with tools like ouija boards. Things like “Evil spirits can come through and attack you”, and “You can never know what you’re connecting to” are very common. While these narratives have some truth to them, they are very much hyperbole and really only apply to the spiritual method. The largest danger when it comes to divination are people who use divination to manipulate others. This is typically done by pulling people into their personal narratives; like past lives, deity communication/godphoning, and things like “magic/astrral wars/battles”.
If you’re practicing the spiritual method I recommend cleansing the space, having wards in place, and remaining self-aware the entire time. While this gradually becomes less necessary with experience in spirit work, it is still a good idea.
Be weary of anyone who implies that the reading is a set in stone reading/future/etc. Avoid diviners who do medical readings, unless you have seen a medical professional first, at the very least. However, due to the nature of divination please remain aware that the reading is in no way absolute and there is no reason to be fearful if the reading is negative.
Divination is a form of advice. It can also be used for spirit communication, however it can be easy to get carried away in interpretations until more experience is gained.
KEEP CRYSTAL BALLS COVERED. They can bend light like a magnifying glass and can start fires!
Depending on your practice, and what you’re communicating with, it can also be wise to keep mirrors covered. The idea behind this is that it prevents spiritual entities from using the mirror to enter your space. I find that warding divination tools is sufficient enough most of the time.
Hey, gals 💅🏻 I learned this cool numerology trick that was later mixed up with Tarot + Astrology and ✨boom✨ the whole thing was remastered. I wanna offer this as my next seasonal service? Yes, but I don't want to keep the secret from my colleague readers and inquiring minds. I tested this method with some volunteers and they could identify with everything I interpreted for them.
Firstly, you got to calculate your life path number. It's done by reducing each component of your birthday to a single digit. I'm going to use mine as an example. It's June 22, 1996, and it's going to look like this: 6+2+2+1+9+9+6 = 35. Then, it's reduced to 3+5=8.
2023's essential number is 7 (I reduced it to one digit by adding 2+0+2+3=7).
It's time to add your and 2023' number to obtain a single digit. 8+7=15. Stop right there. Take note of this number as it will be helpful later. It speaks about your outter or superficial themes of this year.
Now, reduce it. 1+5=6.
It's not a normal numerology reading, thus we're not looking up for the original meaning of life path number 6. We're going to pay attention to whose major arcane this number belongs to.
6 is the lovers.
The lovers card is associated to Gemini and it's ruled by Mercury. Now, let's locate which houses Gemini and Mercury are as they will be more active this year. These placements are your new sidekicks in other words.
15 is not to be forgotten for this example. 15 corresponds to the devil card, whose astrology association is Capricorn. Capri's daddy is Saturn, so we're paying attention to where those are in your natal chart.
To sum up, if you're life path number 8, you should look up for Capricorn, Saturn, Gemini and Mercury in your chart, as the will tell you which energy could be in your favor or detrimental to your 2023 journey. I don't know how all path number 8' chart looks like 🥴, so I'm going to leave a basic description of the energies displaying an important role in your life this year.
Life path number 8's mini reading for 2023: the need for order would be exalted. Old structures would crash down and quickly be replaced by new ones. Cut out temptations as you allowed them to gain too much importance in your life, keeping your attention away from your real objectives. Your indecision lies in the fact you got too comfortable and getting back to work feels like a pain in the ass. Take idealism out along with the trash, and let realism stays instead, please.
so i wanted to make my own post that's based off of this post (link to my archived blog) this post was another one of those, "What should you put in your Grimoire" type of deals.
I want to make my own bc i've used this list and added to it. @the-owl-guy wrote the first post so go give them some love if you happen to see this post, as this is based off the post they wrote and still contains some items from the original post. A bit about numerology
Numerology is a way of looking at the world through numbers. Letters are assigned numeric values and then added up until a single digit is reached. Birthdays or other significant dates may have the same done. The numerals from 1 to 9 are all given meanings. One is usually about beginnings, where 9 is completion. 3 is joy amongst friends. 8s are karmic, receiving what you have given. This is not an exhaustive list, but just a start. It is not hard to google for deeper explanations.
Only the numbers and their meanings impact more than practicing numerology. If you do cartomancy (divination with cards such as oracle, tarot, or playing card), you may find especially the cards are influenced by the numbers on them. The fives are all about struggle. The five of pentacles or diamonds is a card about not enough resources of the material world. The five of swords (spades) or wands (clubs) are about battles, deadly or just sparing respectively. The five of cups (hearts) is about making the hard emotional decisions about what remains after a struggle. The rest of the pip cards can be discussed at the same way. Major arcana cards, at least the first few can be treated similarly. The magician, card 1, can be about creation. Card 2, the priestess, balancing knowledge with silence.
Outside of divination, numerology also can affect thread magic. The number of strands used in stitching can be intentional to what is being worked. Embroidery floss usually comes in six strands, crewel yarn can come in four. The number actually used can vary. DId you want to work in joy, balance, beginnings, adventure, work? Pick the number of strands that matches the end goal of the work.
Numerology may be a form of divination or guide for magic. It can aid other forms of divination as well as being used by itself. Look up the basics and see if it helps grow your practice.
