In 2022, if you still think leaving your "beloved" pet cat outside is still ok, then just know if I find it I will take it to a shelter as an abandoned animal.
Cats are responsible for mass extinction of local wildlife, stray cats also have extremely short lifespans because of other animals, illnesses, and humans (either intentional or accidental).
Be a good pet owner and keep your animals inside or on a leash.
If you can't provide enrichment for your animal and you believe letting them outside is the only way to give them enrichment then you don't deserve to have an animal.

Not a Dog!
A competition was set up to award the best dog between Gotham and Amity Park, probably because the judges were quite aware that the two cities were a little crazy and decided to unite their competitions.
Damian bragged that he shouldn't be participating since obviously Titus would beat everyone. Jason snorted and commented that Dog was much better than Titus and would win the competition easily, the rest of the siblings walked away from the discussion, but Dick felt left out and called his friend.
Beast Boy, better known as "Gar" wasn't too happy about Dick using his favor to make him pretend to be a dog in a pet contest, but he agreed. Dick signed him up as his own pet while Jason and Damian complained about how silly the idea was.
When Gotham competitors list was released on Amity, Danny noticed that one contestant had a green dog and smiled. He could compete with Cujo! His father told him something about wanting to compete too but the halfa denied and said that he needed a dog for that.
On the day of the competition the judges tried not to flinch at the two obviously green dogs and a contestant who had decided to enter with a peculiar type of dog, they decided to judge them as best as possible. A rivalry ensued between all the contestants while Danny tried to avoid looking at his father's eyes, why was he participating with a fridge?
To everyone's surprise, none of the dogs won. The winner was Jack Fenton, with his very alive and aggressive sausages. The judges couldn't disqualify him because "hot dog" was technically a type of "dog" even if they didn't know how it was possible, and Jack taught the hot dogs a few tricks.

Unless: You want the action to repeat itself because it's super cute and there is nothing inherently wrong with rewarding contact-seeking behaviour, and shockingly it is actually possible to both teach and learn more nuanced ways to communicate with your dog than simply "no" and "when i say so"

Needing a Sua perspective from the ALNST auditions to Round 1. I never put much thought into what happens to the cast post-Anakt Garden graduation (do they immediately go to the auditions? Is there a period of time where they dont see each other until they recognize each other at the audition? Theres a considerable amount of time between the auditions and their Alien Stage season, did they see each other often between then or...? etc.), but regardless, imagine being her and having to choose between sabotaging your own audition so you dont have to go the the Sing, Win, or Die Show or putting your in your all in hopes of winning and spending just a bit more time with this girl you love because you know itll likely be the last time you see her. Polite yet casual reminder that:
If you have not owned a particular type of animal, chances are extremely low that you will know more about how to care for the animal than whoever owns the pet. Just because the animal is on the internet doesn’t change this.
Yes, different animals show different responses to emotions like stress, happiness, etc. but that doesn’t mean you should automatically assume every odd behavior quirk is a distress response. Do your own research or, if you check the notes of whatever post, make sure it’s coming from someone who would actually know about the animal. Blogs like is-the-X-video-cute blogs or thefrogaquarium753, which are specifically focused on those types of animal, tend to give a breakdown of why a certain animal will display whatever behavior, whereas master-chiefs-big-naturals will more often be like “the animal is being abused because it’s clearly in distress which is obviously because [insert reason they pulled out of their ass]”
Pets are like children. Sometimes animals get themselves in unpleasant situations, but that doesn’t automatically mean the owners were abusive or neglectful or stuck them in that situation themselves.
Yes, some pet owners are indeed abusive (before any of you get defensive and try to tell me how the world works). That doesn’t mean every single pet owner is secretly horrible and that you should be jumping at the bit to call them out. Usually the pet owner is just as worried about the situation as you if not more (it’s their pet lol), and going on about how horrible of a person they are for something outside of their control does infinitely more harm than good (adds onto the stress of their pet being in distress, makes them hesitate to seek help or info, makes people less likely to trust them even if they’re benevolent, etc etc).
In general, an abusive pet owner will try to frame it as something cutesy or silly. If the owner points out that it’s a problem, or if it’s a vet speaking (if the pet is with a veterinarian then that should already be a good sign about the owner right !!) then that is very different.
Tl;dr please trust that pet owners know what they’re doing. No that kitten isn’t crying for food because it’s being starved in a cold shed in the winter off camera, have you never met a cat before

nana loved everything about her new home.
it wasn't as big as her previous master's, but that hardly mattered to her at all. she wasn't allowed in most of that house anyways. but here, her new master had told her she could go wherever she wanted, just to knock first if the door was closed.
her new collar and tag jingled slightly as she wandered around, carefully exploring. their quick trip to the pet store had been scary and stressful for her - so many other pets and people, so many sounds and smells and eye-grabbing colors - but master had gently insisted on buying her a new collar, especially once he saw how raw and chafed her neck was under the too-tight leather.
her new collar was lime green and made of polyester, and sat around her neck loosely enough to not chafe, but tight enough to not come off. her new tag was shaped like a bone, with her name on the front and her master's name and phone number on the back. even something as small as that made her feel warm inside. her old master had never bothered putting any contact information on her tag, claiming that if she somehow got away, he wouldn't want her back anyways.
as both an apology for the ordeal and a reward for being such a good girl, master took her to pick out a new toy once they'd gotten her collar. she'd been a little overwhelmed at first, faced with an entire aisle of possible selections. she'd never had a toy before. but master assured her that she had all the time in the world to decide, and after a few minutes of pacing back and forth through the aisle, she returned to his side with a stuffed frog between her teeth. it was soft but firm, well-stuffed, and she liked the green.
"nana!" master called from another room, snapping her back to the present. "would you come here please?"
she obeyed, following the sound of his voice into the apartment's single bedroom. there, she found him kneeling and adjusting... something, she couldn't quite tell yet, over in the corner of the room.
"surprise!" he said happily, moving out of the way. in the corner of his bedroom, he'd rigged up a sheet to form a little canopy, and beneath the little sheet-tent was a soft, plush looking pet bed, with an equally as soft looking blanket draped over one half, and her stuffed frog sitting on the other. "it's your bed!"
she blinked, awestruck. her bed? this was all for her? she gingerly stepped forward, until she was close enough to climb into the bed, curling up with her frog in her arms and pulling the blanket over herself. peering out through the gap in the tent, her back to the wall and surrounded by a cocoon of warmth and softness, she felt her nose starting to burn and her single eye filling with tears.
she'd never felt so safe and loved before, and found herself overwhelmed by the onslaught of emotion. this is what she'd needed, all her life, this is all she'd ever wanted.
"do you like it?" master asked, peeking into the tent. he seemed saddened, but not surprised to see her crying. "oh, sweetheart," he soothed, "it's okay. no one's ever gonna hurt you again. it's only gonna be pets and treats and toys and soft beds from here on out, okay?"
his kind words only made her cry harder, but she eagerly nuzzled into his hand when he moved to pet her hair, hoping to convey the depth of the love and gratitude she already felt. she might have been weeping, but her tail was wagging so hard it had started to audibly thump against the wall behind her.
the two of them just sat there for a while while she cried, and master didn't stop petting or reassuring her for a single moment until she finally settled down, snuggling further into her soft bed as it finally hit her just how drained she was from the day's events.
"oh!" master suddenly exclaimed. "you must be hungry, it's almost dinnertime." he moved to get up and gave her one more parting scratch behind the ear. "i'm gonna go cook, you just settle in some more. or you can take a nap if you want, you look tired." he smiled. "i'll wake you up when it's time to eat, okay?"
nana simply nodded, huffing contently and burying her face into the soft fabric of her stuffed frog. she distantly registered master pulling her blanket more securely around her, before she was out like a light.

Which character do you think had the most potential in the Harry Potter series and do you plan on implementing any of your ideas into them?
If DSMSG Draco was locked in a room with Umbridge, Lockhart, and Voldemort and had a gun with two bullets, who would he choose to shoot?(totally not stolen from The Office)
I think you may or may have not mentioned this earlier and feel free to ignore this question if it’s a spoiler, but when does Harry begin having feelings for Draco/act on them?
no worries, i wanted a distraction from my work anyway lol
In terms of potential, I'm not quite sure. My first thought was Draco (Duh) mostly because I wish so badly that they kept the scene in the final movie where he threw his wand to Harry. That alone would probably do so much for his character, and I am very likely going to do something with it in the fic. Plus the whole really weird hug with Voldy thing, kinda seems like Voldy is trying to have a relationship with him that parallels Harry and Dumbledore's. Anyway, Draco's SO uncomfortable all the time in 7th, it makes me very excited to get to it :) I also think Narcissa is pretty interesting since she kinda parallels Lily, and the fact she lied to the Dark Lord TO HIS FACE and protected Harry...I know I make Narcissa out to be just a very overbearing mother (and bad cook) but I hope to make Draco see the other sides to her later on, when he gets his head out of his ass. For now, she's sort of just comic relief, but there are some things set up in the very first years that will come back in the later years.
(also i REALLY need to add neville in some more--thematically he's super important, but he just doesn't get that much screen time yet. I'll have to think more about how to integrate him, but definitely he will appear more in 3rd w/ other characters. Other characters I plan to include are Cedric, Luna, maybe Cho? Marietta, probably, for the whole traitor thing in the 5th book, and ofc Pansy and Zabini, though those two are the flattest in the books so I'm gonna have to make up a lot of stuff lol. gotta add in sirius obvs [he's actually my favorite, which was why he was not-malfoy's fave in the old version], and remus [also we gotta discuss the werewolf in the room, with the whole snape prank thing...])
Draco would probably blackmail Lockhart into taking the gun and shooting Umbridge twice. He isn't stupid enough to try to kill Voldemort with a gun (are the horcruxes around in this hypothetical?also Voldy lived in like. WWII? Although he's ignorant of love magic stuff, he is probably deeply aware of the dangers of Muggle weapons, which maybe relates to his desire to conquer them) but Draco would love Umbridge dead, and he'd want more blackmail on Lockhart lol. The man's main fear is losing his reputation so that's probably a better punishment than death. If it's sixth year Draco he might just shoot himself though
I have mentioned that Draco doesn't want to date as a minor or date minors even if physically the same age due to the weird age gap/time question thing (a really big issue in isekai/transmigration imo, and the bit of this fic that makes me want to just make it platonic--seriously. I read one where this grown man DATED A SEVEN YEAR OLD B/C HE WAS IN A CHILD'S BODY??) but Harry will obviously not be thinking about that since for all he knows, they're both normal kids. You can probably safely assume he starts thinking of romance at the same time as in the books, though obviously his friendship w/ Draco and the whole "it's the nineties and I think I'm gay?!" thing would make him not as proactive about it for a while

Hello friends! I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but I’d like to again ask y’all not to tag “is the cat video cute” style blogs on my videos and photos. I’m always happy to provide context for my content and chat about the quality of my pet care, but I would rather not involve a third party. It’s easy for videos to be misconstrued out of context, and in the past I’ve had folks jumping to conclusions regarding my pet care due to the input of similar blogs. I’m sure everyone involved in these blogs are well meaning, but in the past I’ve found that without the context from knowing the cats or discussing with the owner sometimes incorrect info can be shared and then people can act a little… white knight-y.
