*Ryan Coogler drops the gem Wakanda Forever*
*A Namor x Shuri ship is birthed, drawing fandom from all around the world*
*Fans share inventive narratives, beautiful works and comedic concepts with one another, ultimately finding community from these fictional marginalized characters and their fictional union in this fictional movie {minding their own business and thriving}*
*Unsolicited pushback stirs with the #1 arguing point: “He killed her mother!”*
Meanwhile the fandom who unfortunately didn’t get to see the same Wakanda Forever as everyone else:
I………………….had…………………..no………………….idea

The SAG Awards ended about an hour ago. Not a Harkle to be seen or mentioned! Next we wait and see if they pop up at the parties. I’ll be checking on Monday morning for this.
However, Elizabeth Debicki did win Leading Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Season 6 of The Crown. It was surprising. Not in a bad way, I just thought there were other performances that were better. (I did like her Diana though. She’s one of the better Dianas for me, though I do wonder how much her win is for Diana nostalgia.)
Another surprise from the SAG Awards was Pedro Pascal winning for The Last of Us over one of the Succession guys - incredibly well-deserved.
Loved that Lily Gladstone won for Leading Actress in Film. She’s my pick for the Oscar but I’m leaning towards Emma Stone getting it because the Academy loves weird quirky performances like that. (The two paths for an Oscar is weird and quirky or historic and biographical. Killers of the Flower Moon, while being biographical, isn’t usually the historic vibe that the Academy goes for.) But Lily getting the SAG does boost her chances for getting the Oscar since the momentum is on her side now.
But the best part was the Devil Wears Prada reunion. Always fab.

In response to your rant - I’m sorry that people are being so cruel. I am currently underground on this app, both for asks and for writing, because of the taboo nature of my writing. I have had mutuals reported, censored and banned from the app because people feel that what we write should be silenced.
Writers aren’t hurting anyone - it’s very easy to curate your experience on this app. But, some people don’t agree with that sentiment and then we writers are left frustrated and sometimes feeling isolated or shunned.
People need to adopt the “don’t like, don’t read” philosophy instead of telling other how or what they should be allowed to write.
/rant. (Sorry you’re having a frustrating day/evening)
hi non
first off i’m sorry to hear about your mutuals. i’m also sorry i don’t have a lot to say, i’m just exhausted. it’s like we can’t have one week of peace and harmony, one day where people keep mean thoughts to themselves.
not liking something is valid. there are options. unfollow, block, filter, scroll. barring very extreme circumstances like an author INTENTIONALLY not tagging their work for example, writers aren’t hurting anyone.
they’re not hurting anyone if they make a character too ooc
they’re not hurting anyone if they write something really soft or really dark
they’re not hurting anyone if they write nothing but au’s
thanks for coming to my ted talk

you gotta ignore the voice in your head that says 'no one would notice or care'
they will notice, and they do care
sometimes you just gotta like, wrap up your brain in a blanket till it calms down
they care. you are so loved you have no idea how fuckin loved you are. dont disappear, theyre gonna notice, theyre gonna wonder where you went

Divus, sweating: Sam, there’s something I need to ask you-
Sam: Finally! You’re proposing!
Divus: How’d you know?
Sam: Divus, you’ve dropped the ring five times during dinner.
Sam: I even picked it up once.

Quick updates
• got an internship set up! Which means I’ll be graduating August 2024 for sure. This is like a whole six months sooner than I thought btw.
• ‘Boutsta be in the final two weeks of class so I’m gonna be slammed
• got new ADHD meds that are working so, so well! It’s made me so much more productive and has been working great with my others meds so far
• as part of The Great CC Purge of 2024, I had to go back and re-edit townies and NPCs and even had to touch up the Orsons, their home, and some of their friends in CAS. This is taking a little bit, hence all the Harris Save posts
• Fun fact: all of the Harris Save posts y’all have been seeing are from March - June 2023, and so far I’ve posted a little under half of what I have
• I think I mentioned this before, but when I get back to posting the Orsons there’s going to be a bit of a time jump (like a yearish). There’s going to be a lot of changes so there will be a sort of “what happened since last we checked in” post. I’ll announce when I have a date in
• Since I’m being slammed with essays and stuff I haven’t been active beyond setting up my queue. I have two weeks in between this semester ending and the summer semester starting which I plan on not playing any Sims at all and just spring cleaning, hanging out with friends and family, and doing some creative stuff
That’s all! Bye love you!
