I just saw a Patrick Hockstetter in church clothes, and, I thought it was good, but I was a little annoyed with what the person wrote around the drawing. (It doesn't fit the Patrick I imagine)
Do you have any headcanons about Patrick forced to go to church with his parents?
I love how you write him, and I think you're the person who got Patrick the best 👌
This is so sweet, I'm so flattered and happy you think I write Patrick best! I do my best. I love seeing fanart and seeing different ways people view Patrick is pretty cool.
So HC's of Patrick being forced to go to church every Sunday:

Patrick grew up with his parents dragging him to church every single Sunday morning. It was aggravating at even a young age, he hated it.
He felt like everyone who went to church willingly were incredibly stupid.
His mom always made him wear uncomfortable dress clothes that he would literally strip off his body the moment they got into the car to drive home. Even when his mom yelled at him to wait for 5 minutes since they lived close to the church.
The kids who went to Sunday school with him were terrified of him. He would hurt the other kids and threaten them to never say a word.
He hated the singing, his mom would sing in the choir and he could always hear his mom over everyone else. (That is me projecting here, my mom sang in the choir and I could always hear my mom's voice over everyone else's)
After Avery was killed, the Hockstetters skipped church for a month which Patrick was quite pleased with. He was so sure he never had to go again but when the pastor made a visit to their home, he convinced them to start going again much to Patrick's distain.
Once he was old enough to pick out his own clothes he would wear black ripped skinny jeans with chains, black tshirts with some form of Satanic prints, and a flannel shirt. His parents could never get him to change, every Sunday was a fight about his outfit of choice.
When Patrick became a teenager and was forced to go to youth group he started vandalizing, any bible he found, he'd rip all the pages out or write vulgar blasphemous things inside for someone to find.
He began harassing the other boys as he started feeling curious and having sexual urges. Especially one Richie Tozier. He was always Patrick's favorite to harass.
He managed to get his first blowjob while the church service was going, the day the lesson was on sexual impurity and homosexuality. He wanted to give God the finger and when he cornered a guy a year younger than him that he had convinced to fool around with, he got to fuck someone's mouth for the first time and he came when he heard the pastor yell that homosexuals were condemned to hell.
Patrick tried to burn the church down multiple times, even injured the pastor one time but he managed to escape the fire with only a few burns.
When overnight trips in the youth group would happen, he would always pick Richie as his buddy to stick with and sit with on the bus. He loved watching the trashmouth squirm and a few times when the bus ride was long, he would share one of his earbuds with Richie and they would listen to music. They never spoke of it.
Patrick would swear and take God's name in vain on purpose every Sunday, he loved seeing the women clutch their pearls and the men look at him in disgust.
He got the youth pastor sent to jail for having sex with him. He seduced the man for months, knowing the guy liked teenage boys even though he was married with a wife and kids. He finally pushed enough to make the man cave and Patrick filmed the entire thing and then played the video for the entire congregation to watch in horror.

Canon Book Patrick things!
Currently reading the book and decided to post my findings/things I've noted on this character!
Content warnings for animal death, child death and mentions of harrasment under the cut, Patrick Hockstetter is his own warning
-Patrick was the son of a devout catholic and a paints salesman, and had grown up in a religious household
-His IQ tested as low normal and he'd repeated 2 grades (1st and 3rd) and was taking summer classes so that didn't happen again
-He was very apethetic student and the teachers wrote hardly anything on him on his school reports.
- He'd leave test sheets blank or would just put a large question mark on them
- Was VERY quiet in class so he was pretty much allowed to fail because he was easier to ignore while teachers would focus more on students like Vic and Henry that would often disrupt class and deface school property
-He wasn't stupid at all. Infact, he was very smart, he just didn't bother with school.
-Didn't see any other creature, human or animal, as real. Believed himself to be an actual creature despite that
-Had no real sense of hurting, no real sense of being hurt
-Reality was meaningless to him
-despite life not meaning too much to him, he was very aware of rules. Life had rules and he knew to follow them.. Or atleast try to avoid being caught
-Had to be seated away from the female students in his class. Teachers tried to avoid any contact with him and female students.
-Patrick would draw a picture for his mother every time he'd go to school but he'd only use black and brown crayons
-Fan of arts and crafts, made his own duct tape wallet, it wasn't very well done, the stitching was coming undone and the note pocket flapped around
-Patrick hadn't liked it when his mother had brought Avery home, he tried to tell himself that he didn't care as long as it didn't disrupt his schedule
-Of course, Avery had done that and all the attention had been turned to him, meals turned up late, Patrick was woken up by the crying
-If Patrick was "real" He thought Avery also could be "real" too, he didn't like the thought of that.
-He was frightened that he was being replaced, and when Avery was big enough to do what Patrick would usually do (get his father the paper, hand his mother the bowls when she was baking bread,) his parents would get rid of Patrick all together.
- what he cared about the most was (1) the rules, they'd been broken or changed ever since Avery had come home, (2) Averys possible reality and (3) He could be thrown out and replaced
-Patrick killed Avery as soon as he'd gotten home from school, he felt more alive than ever once he'd got rid of him
-The doctor that pronounced Avery dead thought Patrick was under shock, so he gave him a pill to take
- He wasn't phased at all, wasn't bothered, felt no guilt and after that he'd done nothing like that again but he could if the chance presented itself. Though as he grew up he would become more aware of the rules and that nasty things happened to people that didn't follow them
- He knew the rules but he liked the excitement he felt when he'd killed his brother and he wanted to feel it again
-first he killed flies, with a swatter and then those sticky flytraps you can get for hardly anything at the shop, he'd watch them for hours in the garage dying. Then he figured how much more efficient a ruler was, so he'd kill them throughout the school day, putting their dead bodies in a pencil box
-He'd kill beetles with pins from his mother's pin cushion, he'd catch them impale them and watch them die slowly
-it moved on to animals when he'd stumbled across a hurt cat one day, it was dying in the gutter. He pushed it around with his foot and was soon shood off by an old woman that had seen what he'd been doing.
-He soon found an old rusty amana fridge, he'd heard about how kids could get stuck in there.
-soon animals started going missing around town and he was to blame.
-He almost had a ritual when dealing with the fridge, he'd sway a little, hum a tune.
-The fridge had a hold over him and he'd somewhat fixate on the thing, he'd draw it at school, he'd dream about it at night
-He got very worried when Henry had told him that he'd tell on him and his beloved fridge (decided he would tattle on Henry for breaking Eddie's arm if Henry did say anything) and decided to go clean it out of his latest victim, a pigeon. When he did however he was attacked by "leeches"
-Pennywise found it hard to find what form to take because Patrick was nutoriously hard to scare.

did you two argue? Did his dad pull something on him?
these moments are very rare with Henry, showing vulnerability isn't his strong side
he'll stay at your house for as long as you let him
he won't ask for it, but if you sit somewhere with him (inside or outside, doesn't matter) & let him lean back against your chest he'll melt
please hold his hands
I feel like Henry doesn't like to talk about his problems, so you gotta be creative with distractions
draw with him, watch movies etc
he'll naturally open up eventually
prolly the only time he lets you do anything to his hair besides ruffling through, so use the oppurtunity
(make a rat tail-ish braid outta the longer back of his mullet)
at night he'll either hold you closer/with a firmer grip or he lets you hold him
no inbetween
get matching switchblades with him
he'll probably ask you to come to the Quarry with him or carve something with the switchblades
just chilling there all day
you'll have to patch him up after fights with Butch, there's days where he doesn't want to go home on his own
asks you to stay close to him when he leaves school since his dad will most likely be there
comforting Henry isn't a one day job, it's the little things & attention to detail that comforts him
just make sure that he knows you won't leave

I said this previously but I think that his parents aren't the best towards him, especially after what happened with Avery
he either completely distances himself from you or glues himself to your hip
no matter which one is the case, please look for him/stay with him
cuz he will light something on fire
or kill some poor persons cat
he would probably LOVE a burn book, wreck this journal etc
ranting about how much he hates his friends sometimes & getting to let his anger out in a safe way
its a win win
he'll draw angry little stickmen onto your hands if you let him
sit by the Quarry with him, it's where he is 98% of the time anyways
in contrast to Henry, I think Patrick would love to give you a piece of his mind
we know what happened the last time he felt upset, boy ain't subtle about being dissatisfied
instead of you comforting him, he'll be the first to initiate a conversation
snaking his arm around your waist while putting his head onto your shoulder
once his anger wore off, he won't be obviously sad
just quiet
he'll ask you to braid his hair while he lays in your lap
loves to hold your hands
kisses your knuckles
shares earbuds with you while you two just lay there, listening to music
be careful tho, he might fall asleep

Could you give us close up on the details of the cover of PM ?
With explanations and all ?
Okay, let's see if I can explain my thought process coherently.
This is the full cover of Paper Men. First, looking at it more broadly, you have all the colorful paper cutouts, which obviously are inspired by Evelyn as a character and kind of symbolize her childlike sweetness and naivety. But I also wanted the cover to have an overall sense of playfulness while also hiding some pretty dark and violent imagery because I feel like that's what Paper Men is. It's not a horror story by any means, but there are moments of genuine terror.
I'll try to break down some of the "scenes":
blood splatter - death and violence; right now, everything's pretty calm but that's only because Pennywise hasn't started killing anyone yet (full disclosure: Pennywise the Clown will NOT be appearing in this story, but you will feel Its presence, I promise)
4 paper figures, 1 is in red - clearly, this is the Bowers Gang, and one of them is in red because, well, he's not quite like the others. I think we all know who that is (it's Patrick).
a gravestone, flowers, and a doggy bone - the gravestone is for Avery Hockstetter, Patrick's brother; the flowers are for his poor, grieving mother; and the doggy bone is for all the puppies (and other animals) Patrick tortured as a child
a paper figure getting its head cut off by a pair of scissors - honestly, this has no deep meaning.😂 Nobody's going to get decapitated (well, unless you count Eddie Corcoran, but he dies off-screen) and especially not with a pair of scissors. I just had this image pop into my head and I put it in there for giggles.
So yeah, that's it. I put it together really quickly, but I like it 🤷🏻♀️

i decided to reuse a base idea for a fic i wrote for the it (2017&19) (bowers gang section) fandom as an original piece
i realized i Cannot use stevey king's characters' names
ok well what if i find another name with the same meaning as the steepn king ones, right?
'henry' is a name that means ruler of the home. hmmmm that. hm okay. fits.
and 'patrick' is a name that means nobleman .....right
so those two fucks (affectionate) compliment each other. bc ofCOURSE they do.
however henry is only in charge on his own turf whereas patrick is just. important everywhere. but oft hated.

victor = conqueror
reginald = king, or ruler's adviser
bonus, avery = ruler of elves, wise. this one only matters cause i love avery hockstetter and i resurrect avery hockstetter as often as possible & there's, weirdly, a few similar names that demote avery to simply a Friend of elves.
