"august," you say while going down on one knee., "will you marry me?"

the man in question turns around to face you, shock on his face at your display. you're on one knee in front of him, holding out a paper ring with a red love-heart in the center.

by the look on your face and the tone of your voice august can tell that you're just joking- being playful, which makes his heart sting a little, but he smiles nonetheless.

he lets out an overdramatic gasp, "yes, yes of course i'll marry you! this is a dream come true!" august says happily, allowing you to slip the paper ring on his finger before he swoops you up in a hug. he presses a chaste kiss to your nose.

one day, you getting married will be real, and you'll tell this story at your wedding.

my coworker and I were talking in her office about her upcoming wedding which segued into my dating life and pride month so I talked about the last few dates I've been on and how one person was overly enthusiastic about bdsm and she was like what's that? and I was like what? she asked if it was a gay thing and I was like um....not exclusively? and so then I proceeded to tell my straight coworker who is one year older than me all about the wonders of bdsm and her only response was oh like Rihanna!
