For the Memento Mori questions, their crimes are pretty much similar with Narinder's along with the attack patterns

Narinder though, he was sent to death by the bishops due to the constant occurrences of him revolting against them. Even before he was resurrected he already had an odd cult following praising him for his defiance... (but it isnt swag when youre trying to have people have faith in you so uh... choppy choppy)

Im actually giving the bishops their designs right now, but I have an idea: "Leshy" -> Haro?? (Black Banded Owl) [It was singing, so I just went "mmmm no more beak"] "Heket" -> Snake Character (Indian Cobra) [It had gold on its head, so I took a chunk of.... their head] "Kallamar" -> The Fisherman (I ran out of characters :[ ) [Literally have no reason, I just kinda messed around until it looked nice, I still wanted to keep the underwater themeing]

honestly I have no idea where I'm going with it so I'll throw it to the wind and let you guys chew on it while I let it simmer lol

so basically I started watching true detective: night country the other night with my mom and I immediately got inspired (I have not seen the first season of true detective although I really want to watch it now and hopefully will soon). also, I've always had a fascination with the polar nights phenomena. I've gone on wikipedia binges before reading about Utquiagvik (the Alaskan town I'm fairly sure the town in true detective s4 is based off of) which experiences polar night for roughly two months or so, and I've also gotten a few videos in my Youtube recommended from a youtuber who lives in Svalbard which experiences polar night for nearly three months. so suffice to say the concept of a several month long night has intrigued me for a while, and finding a show literally set during that multi-month nighttime immediately piqued my interest.

and when I watch really fun things I usually get the urge to write something in the same genre. originally I thought about a crimeboys detective duo fic, but then I was like wait has anyone done tntduo as detective partners? because I know there's crimeboys detective fics out there but I don't know if I've seen many of them for tntduo. and I realized that would just be a very fun dynamic for the two of them.

so grizzled small town detective partners tntduo who bicker like an old married couple, seem to have a lot of shit in their past between them, work incredibly well together and bounce off of each other perfectly during investigations, and also have the kind of tension where no one else in the room with them can tell if they want to punch each other or make out just felt like the perfect vibe to dig into. all set against the backdrop of a frigid arctic circle town that's in the midst of a 2 month long night. and then someone gets murdered.

so this post doesn't get too long I'll talk more about the specifics of the au under the cut

so tbh this idea while it is tntduo /r, it wouldn't be that focused on that and more focused on the murder investigation going on. besides our two overly tired small town detectives that definitely aren't repressing any feelings towards each other, we have several other characters going about their lives as well! of course tommy is there. he's a junior officer who only joined the police force a year before the start of the story (also, yes I'm very acab when it comes to real life but I just wanna write one of those stereotypical murder investigation stories man).

anyway, tommy is only 20 and his dad, phil, was part of the force for most of tommy's life. once he turned 18 though phil quit because he'd always hated the institution of police (and government in general) (although like wilbur he was a detective) but wanted to have a stable job to keep his kid supported. phil was... not thrilled in tommy's career choice, but who is he to protest?

phil mentored wilbur during his early years in the force, and in turn wilbur mentors tommy. he's trying to teach him how to think like an investigator, and will often ask him questions to get his brain turning pieces of evidence over and try to get him to look at situations in different ways.

since quitting and getting that sweet sweet government retirement money, phil pretty much spends all his time at his bestie techno's place. techno is the town hermit who lives on the outskirts. he also breeds sled dogs (not formally he just has a lot of dogs since people need them in that kind of weather) and usually has 10 huskies at a time running around his cabin. techno might also be a retired eco-terrorist but wilbur knows not to ask too many questions about that and quackity is scared of techno so he's definitely not gonna bring it up.

niki is a phd student from germany working at the nearby arctic research station for her dissertation. she focuses a lot of her studies on climate change and all that. she and wilbur are best friends and has heard way too many drunken ramblings about quackity.

jack manifold is one of tommy's best friends and works at the oil fields that employ most of the town. he's trying to get placed onto a proper oil rig out in the ocean at some point since those jobs pay really well. he's friends with niki too, although his job and her research certainly cause a bit of contention between them.

tubbo is another best friend of tommy's. he's born and raised in the arctic town but he went off to a prestigious uni down south to get a nuclear engineering degree so he's not really around for the most part

sam oversees and manages all the oil pumps and makes sure things are running smoothly. and in turn, schlatt owns the oil fields. he and quackity have, uh, a history.

and lastly, ranboo is an intern at the research station that niki is doing her dissertation work at. they're also close friends with tommy, although wilbur and quackity both have only met them a few times. the whole story kicks off when they go missing one day, only to be found dead outside in the frigid temperatures within a few hours. that's when the mystery kicks off against the backdrop of a nearly three month long night :)

anyway I do have the overarching mystery figured out, but it's the actual specific plotting bit i'm struggling with. I really don't want to write the entire investigation but also I don't wanna just write a single scene bc theres so much going on in this universe I wanna show arghhhh. and also I love slowburn and I think the really weird tense dynamic tntduo have in this would be so intriguing with that layered on top of it. just arghhhh motivation and time.

want a Hermitcraft hero vs villains au but everyone’s just. horrible at their jobs. classic cartoon villain doc. People either never fall for his traps or they fail spectacularly. Xisuma has this reputation for being like a number one villain. He’s not. Don’t let his scary armor fool you. Scar as a “hero” but he can be pretty easily swayed wherever his best interest lies. Grian as a vigilante, doesn’t really care about hero vs villain but truly loves messing w both. Chaotic balance. Mumbo being a civilian. Like /the/ cartoon civilian who gets captured everytime. Imagine the villains like kidnapping him and mumbo’s just. A little oblivious. He’s like working on a lab project or reading a book. Heroes come to save him. He’s horribly confused.

Aira never gets the chance to tell them himself before having an accident during club activities. Small things like cuts and bruises are easy to ignore but a basketball to the face is a bit more noticeable as "wait, that's not either one of us"

The only other thing I have to say about this au is: To Hiiro and Kohaku this is a tragic case of unrequited love. To Aira this is the universe deciding to bully him. To Rinne this is a comedy of errors

So, a little fun headcanon I have for weapons with the Witness's people, namely handheld weapons in general.

A lot of these weapons used in hand-to-hand combat are strictly "bonded" with the owners of said weapons. Or namely that of the species in general.

This means that when the owner of the weapon touches or grips said weapon, it activates solely when they do so. Same of any of the others of their kind. This keeps the weapons from falling easily into enemy hands to be used against them.

These weapons often include spears, curved swords, war clubs, and halberd base types. (I will get to drawing these soon, hopefully!)

And the amount of power placed into these weapons is also based on their emotional state. The stronger yet more focused they are in their combat, the better the weapons work. But if emotions are out of control and/or weak, it will be harder to control or maintain.

When it comes to weapons like artillery, however, its most likely a different story given some of them do drop as exotics in game. Still, I like to think that in the AU, they had opted to take the route to do the same sort of bonding technique for all their weapons to ensure no one has their hands on them but themselves.

Greedy, yes, but efficient.

Evil Tim AU where the horror doesn’t come from Tim being an unspeakably, brutally violent man (he has people for that), particularly towards Jon, but where the horror comes from how quietly and completely he manages to take over the man’s life by taking advantage of a bad situation.

Tim being less of a stereotypically abusive partner in favor of Jon looking up one day to find that every one of his allies has been ruthlessly killed, his penthouse no longer looks like it’s his, he no longer has any of his former power- and, try as he might, he can’t remember when things became this way.

*Cough*

Anyway reverse frankenstein au where y/n is the person who built Sun/Moon and instead of becoming bitter toward their creator, they become extremely possessive... though it doesn't show at first.

No, in the beginning y/n thinks they failed at creating like a super powerful/evil robot or whatever (cause they're a supervillain or some shite, do love me an evil y/n) but they're just... cuddly. Instead of asking their master what diabolical deeds they should do, they ask them how they'd like their tea, if they're chilly and need a blanket, if they can help with cleaning or anything else to lighten their work load.

Eventually y/n is like "ugh guess I should take em apart and start over >:c" cause they don't realize they created a machine with emotions (strong ones, at that), and once Sun/Moon catch on they reverse the tables.

Au. So basically that episode Announcer comes back to bfdi to take his show back it goes all the same until Four doesn’t run away or anything and just stands there not knowing what to necessarily do in the situation but this makes Announcer nervous (yes emotions. Wowza :0) thinking that Four had Ill-intentions although they had none so he leaves and goes to Yellow faces warehouses and looks for a sort of.. medicine/potion(?) to give Four that’ll knock him about for a long while. While Yellowface had nothing to help with that Purpleface did but it was still in testing so when Announcer gave said potion to Four (as some random ahh drink) instead of knocking him out it nearly kills them and mutates them and their mind (their mind temporarily) and the nearest person when Four awoke from their near-death was X and acting on shock, memory loss, brain alteration, and impulse, he kills X. Just moment later they shift back to normal and they notice what they did and feels entirely guilty for it and doesn’t know what to do (ofc this is a 24x au obvi lol) but Two watched it all happen and instead of going totally insane by it they try to calm him down and figure out what the fuck just happened and all Four remembered was Announcer and a “drink”.

here’s when shit really hits the fan.

so when Two hears this they basically go feral and contact all the other Algebraliens (bcuz objects don’t come up in this au) and despite some of their pure hatred for Four show up and help confront Announcer and Announcer immediately tries to shift the blame onto PF and YF and ultimately in the end a whole fight breaks out with the three “villains” and the Algebraliens until it’s ended by Four’s sudden recovery and appearance and they basically just kill Announcer, YF and PF.

so yippee it’s all over right? Hell no <3

So since X is still dead asf Four, Two and Seven (with a bit of help from the other Algebraliens) try to figure out ways to revive him (bcuz respawning people isn’t a thing in this au) and this continues until they’re on the verge of giving up when suddenly in a desperate last-look-around of the warehouse do they find something that could hopefully being X back. So they try it and it works :D (bcuz I can’t permanently kill off my favorite characters or kins :’3)

So basically it’s a pretty happy ending besides the trauma, guilt, etc left over from the whole experience. And the effects of the potion forever affect Four leaving some of the mutation (I’ll do a drawing of it so I can describe in more detail what this “mutation” really looks like) but his mood and behaviors eventually go back to normal (with therapy and lil partners helpss)

so yea that’s basically all for that AU, I may add or take away information for I’m still molding and creating this hellfire of an AU

ok i know ive mentioned this but its been months since i've rambled about oni jay so I'll talk a lil bit about old and new stuff for the au rn:

this au takes place in a movie!verse au

oni Jay is apart of a larger group of onis who are refugees from the first realm, they had to leave due to the war happening between the onis and hunters

no one knows that he or anyone else are onis, oni's are rarely known in ninjago, only really known through myths

all onis are capable of transforming, they can look like unique people, other onis, or copy other people. They can only shift into bipedal creatures since they are bipedal themselves (there are more advanced forms of shifting like mistake does, but it requires many years of specialized learning and training)

onis hate the FSM and blame him for the decay of their home realm, stealing some of their elements, and the hunters

Firstbourne and Omega are seen as god like entities to onis and dragons. Some are unsure if they really exist

Some oni's have 'elemental powers' but its more of elemental aligned magic per-say. Many onis can learn magic, but only those who come from an elemental blood line can use elemental magic.

some new things:

Jay meets the other ninjas by applying to work at the tea shop, Steeper Wisdom. All the others either work their or hang around their and he makes friends with them

Garmadon is a threat but no weekly invasions. Ninja help with crime, some villains and Garmadon hijinks, but the city is not getting destroyed once a week

going back and forth weather or not jay joins the ninja
