I've been slowly learning to reclaim things that I love for myself. So many of my hobbies and passions are tainted by history: piano was forced upon me as a child and was a huge source of trauma by itself, dance was fun until my teacher started shit talking me about my weight, even photography sucks because it's something my parents enjoyed and god forbid I turn out anything like them.

But I'm teaching myself to decouple the past from these activities. I acknowledge the trauma associated with piano, and also that I miss playing pieces I enjoy. I allow myself time to hammer around when I can and to take breaks as long as I need to, to make the music making enjoyable in a way it never was for me as a child. I learn new dances from youtube, and giggle when I get the moves right. I still can't record myself, but I'm re-learning that my body shape has nothing to do with my ability. And while I still don't take a lot of pictures, the people around me do and I'm starting to associate picture taking with them instead of my parents. I guess this, too, is a part of healing.

Anyway as much as I love the interactions checker on drugs.com there needs to be a website that breaks down in detail exactly how to safely smoke/drink/ect. when taking certain medications because trying to google "how long do I have to wait after being given an opioid pain killer before it's safe for me to consume marijuana" just gives me tons of results about how I'm going to die if I take them at the exact same time and that is not!! what I am asking!! and tbh despite weed being legal here understandably this is not a question I am comfortable posing to any of my actual doctors, so??

Since people are beginning to invalidate other people's points if said people are aroace, I feel like I need to start this with: I'm saying this as someone who's gay and into shipping, and very gay for Solar. Going to the tag "#tsams solar" on the day of his death episode and the following days afterwards, and most that I saw were "this post contains filtered content/tag" because I blocked the ships he's involved in and people who only make tsams shipping content. Most of the posts during those days were ship posts on HIS OWN CHARACTER TAG ffs. Instead of seeing some angsty art or short fics centering Solar's death and the mourning of the celestial family or just general posts from people being sad about Solar's death, it's people making Solar's death about their ships. It's like while normal people saw Solar's death in that episode, the shippers can only see "ship, ship, omg, (insert character that Solar is shipped with) is so sad now, ship". They be sounding like those mine birds from Finding Nemo. It's as if they don't care about Solar's character unless they can ship him with someone. He's just a "character to ship with" for them, and it's annoying as hell. Take off your shipping glasses once in a while, yeah? A lot of people already hate shippers in general and yall be perpetuating the stereotype that we only watch/read something for ships, and that we're illiterate to the rest of the story/plot.
