It confuses me when people are like "Adam isn't all soft and nice like the fandom makes him out to be he's MEAN" because like, yeah the fandom can uwu softboy him a little too much at times but I actually think a lot of people don't portray him as nice or soft ENOUGH. Like, every time we see him outside of the bathroom in the script or deleted scenes he's being nice. To a stray cat, to Amanda. We know he has problems with anger but that doesn't make someone mean or even inherently aggressive. He gives milk to cats and he wanted to be a vet and he told Amanda her hair was nice and tried to get people to come to his friend's show. He wanted to repair his relationship with his family and saved the voicemails from his mom. He has flaws and rough edges and he lies (badly) but I think being kind is an important part of Adam's character that often gets overlooked.
