I think one of my favorite moments from the series final of Ted Lasso was the destruction of Rupert. Because through the series, we view him as having no consequences for his actions, he was still adored, his reputation was never impacted, he still had his wealth, and he was still able to do whatever he wanted, but during the last episode, he lost all of that. We saw it begin to be tarnished as people started to see him as the "wanker" he always was. And I think the best thing was the fact that Rebecca or Richmond had no direct input to it. It was the fault of Rupert Mannion himself that lead him to his own demise.

just a girlie who craves romantic love in a way that can be best described as all consuming but is so deeply terrified of the vulnerability that a relationship would require that she runs from any chance of genuine love like a demented gazelle (it’s me, i’m the girlie)

Begging swifties to understand that Taylor didn’t write reputation and Lover with the knowledge of how the relationship was going to end and that trying to “excavate” those albums for evidence to prove a specific theory as to why it ended is not how they should be viewed. Taylor wrote those songs feeling a very specific way because that’s what she was experiencing and she is now reflecting on them with hindsight and relates to them differently than when she first created them. These conflicting emotions can exist; how she views it now doesn’t diminish how she felt about it when she first released it.

taylor calling out a nyt article about her sexuality is cool good for her I guess but I am begging her and her people to stop throwing "this wouldn't happen to a man" at literally everything... like sometimes that is.. not the point

So it was established in the last episode that Taylor still believes in Santa (tbh I wouldn't be surprised if it's come up prior to this ep too but anyways-) so... Do you think (saint) Nicky been has portalling in every year since the betrayal to sneak in a gift for his son amongst the pile? That Cassandra doesn't even notice because it's just one among the many many presents she herself has bought and wrapped? But every year without fail... Taylor gets one gift that simply says "from: Nick" and well, obviously that has to mean it's from Santa (a conclusion which Nicky expects him to come to, and why he can sign his name at all, though he misses when he could just write "dad"). And one year when he's still quite young, a sleepy little Taylor actually catches Nicky in the act, and Nicky wishes more than anything that he could just *stay*, but instead he only softly tells Taylor to go back to bed, and Taylor thinks that Santa is a lot younger and a bit sadder than he expected, but what's he gonna do- not listen to Santa Claus? So he smiles meekly at the man he does not know to be his father, and hurriedly heads back to his room.
Also yes of course Nicky eats the fucking cookies left out of course he's not gonna pass up on free cookies (which are home-baked to top it off) come on that's a given.

taylor has ALWAYS been a confessional songwriter. she used to put secret messages in her lyric booklets so that we could know even more of her story! she wants us to know her! to understand her! but the thing is, we only have her permission to talk about what she/her friends/her team put out there. and sometimes that means reading between the lines and analyzing and making connections! she’s an artist! that’s what you do with art!
what deuxmoi does violates that bond. they talk about things they have no business speculating about. they post for followers, clicks, and attention. and, in the process, they hurt taylor and the people in her life bc there are many who believe what deuxmoi says is fact. gaylors are the same! matty theorists are the same!! this kind of baseless speculation is cruel and invasive.
taylor just wants us to believe her and get info from her IF and when she’s ready to share it.

“Yo, Willy… this happened.”
I just realized I never posted this back when I originally drew it after the episode release! I did the insane thing of FREE HANDING the shape of my phone and TRADITIONALLY. This scene was absolutely bonkers and I knew I just had to draw it the moment it started unfolding.

Ok Tree Paine
“There is no bad blood” and she literally liked shady posts about him on instagram last week but sure, I believe you, this definitely isn’t DAMAGE CONTROL because Taylor’s getting called out for treating Joe badly and inciting her fanbase on him for a whole year when he wasn’t actually that guilty to begin with.
But sure Tree Paine lol, I believe you.

By fan, that doesn’t mean you have to be a Swiftie. I just mean at the very least some of her music is in your regular rotation, you pay attention to new releases, you don’t need to know every song but maybe have a handful of deep cuts in your back pocket, have interest in attending concerts, etc.
