“I don’t think I’m straight.”
Steve had reached that conclusion exactly ten seconds before saying it out loud. Laying upside down on the couch of his house with his best friend draping her legs on top of him.
“Is that what you were thinking about?” Robin asked, not lifting her eyes from her book.
“Yeah, it just makes sense.”
“Do you want to talk about it?”
Steve hummed thoughtfully. Did he want to talk about it? Was it important enough? Did it change anything?
“I feel the same,” he said. “I thought being gay would feel different.” For a second, Steve was sure Robin would tell him that was a stupid thing to think.
“Are you gay?” Robin asked instead, because she is Robin. She was able to ask something in a judgemental tone without being judgy.
“I'm not straight.” he repeated.
“Pretty sure there are more than two options.” She explained with a joking tone. It was lucky, she thought, that she found a zine hidden in a library when she visited her aunt in Indianapolis.
“How do I know what I am?”
“I don't know, actually,” she said, putting her book down. “I've never seen what the big deal with men is.” Robin explained, crossing her arms. “That's how I knew.”
“I definitely see the big deal with women,” Steve responded simply.
“What about men?”
“I think I always saw the big deal, I just pretended it did not exist.” Steve explained.
“Oh, sweet old denial.” She teased. “How do you feel about this?”
“I would feel better if I had better taste.” Steve deadpanned, causing Robin to laugh and kick him. He slid out of the sofa dramatically to the floor. “Kicking me while I'm most vulnerable, Buckley? I see your game.”
“I have been bidding my time to find your weak spot, Harrington.” Robin joked lightly, jabbing Steve’s legs with her foot. “You will fall, Steven!”
Steve retaliated by pulling her into the floor.
“Look who's falling now?”
“Whatever,” Robin pushed herself to sit upward, sitting on the floor with her back against the sofa. Steve mimicked her with his back against the coffee table. “Who is the guy?” she asked.
“I don't wanna tell you,” Steve whispered, more out of respect for their tradition than anything else. “You’ll make fun of me.”
“Of course I will,” she whispered back. Steve reached for her hand to intertwine their fingers and she held him without batting an eye. “That’s kinda my job as your soulmate.” Steve chuckled. “I have to make sure whoever it is doesn’t mess up our vibe, you know?” He didn’t.
“I’m sure he won’t."
"Are you really gonna make me guess?" Steve lit up at the suggestion. Before he could speak, Robin continued "I'm not gonna guess, just tell me."
"Are you afraid of getting it wrong and looking like a fool?" He teased.
"It's Eddie." She answered less than a second later.
Steve did not respond, shocked at her quick response.
"Who's the fool now, Steve?" The smile on her face was infectious to Steve, who poker her with his foot.
"How did you do that?"
"By having eyes."
"What do you think?" She closed her eyes and hummed as Steve waited for her response.
"I think he looks at you the same way you look at him."
"I should ask him out."
"I can be your wingman!" She exclaimed.
"Oh, my god, yes!"
"We have to make a plan," Robin yelled. She jumped to her feet, letting go of Steve's hand, and dashed up the stairs. "I'm going to get some paper."
Steve stayed behind, sitting more comfortably on the floor, and removing the magazines they had on the coffee table off.
They made a plan, that ended in more of a disaster which is a story for another time. There is only one thing that is important.
Eddie said yes.

When I was eight, I read that the ancient Egyptians removed the brains of mummies, along with most other organs, but left the heart, because they believed memories, emotions, and knowledge were stored in the heart. Essentially, they believed the heart was the brain.
It’s easy now to look back and say they were wrong, but to me that statement rings of hypocrisy. Look around- we’re surrounded by endless heart imagery. Still we associate the heart with love, when in reality, it merely pumps our blood, and has no bearing on our affections. We wear wedding rings on our left ring finger because of the mistaken belief there is a vein there that runs directly to the heart. There isn’t.
(I learned that when I was eight, as well. Perhaps I learned too young to be cynical about matters of the heart.)
Did you know that the amygdala is the emotional center of the brain? Perhaps Valentines’ chocolates should be shaped like amygdalas, rather than heart designs that aren’t even close to accurate. The amygdala gets an unjustified bad reputation. Type “amygdala” into a search bar, and not far down the suggestion list is the phrase “amygdala hijack”. We learn about how the amygdala is responsible for our fear and anger, but not how it is also the reason we feel joy and love.
The reason, I think, that we have not embraced the amygdala as a more accurate symbol of romance is that it is not purely responsible for love. It controls negative emotions as well as positive ones, as opposed to the idea of the heart we’ve created. Popular perception of the heart connects it with love and nothing else. This allows us to venerate love as the ideal human emotion, rather than forcing us to accept that it is just one of a plethora, and that no emotion makes us more or less human than any other.
People tend to take offense at this theory of mine. They call me heartless, or cold-hearted, or say I must have a heart of stone. But this misses the point. My heart has no effect on my opinions of love.
Sometimes, though, I wonder if they are right. If everyone else’s heart pumps more than mere blood. If maybe there is something wrong with mine, and that is why I do not feel as they do. If perhaps my heart is that of a mummy, shriveled and shrunken and dead. Crack open my chest and see; old, withered flesh swathed in layer upon layer of sticky, tangled cobwebs.

"ARIN!"
Arin saw Lloyd and Zane, shock and distress evident in their eyes as his own widened when he realized that he wasn’t in his mech anymore. Sparks of electricity still danced across his body painfully from the first electric shock but before he could even scream this time he felt his back collide into concrete and his bones letting out a sickening crack. His eyes rolled up in his head and as he fell forward, quickly falling unconscious but not before he felt multiple hands catch him and the sharp crackle of a whip now echoed in his ears.

"So what's going on with Luzu?"
Tumblr media
"...er, Zulu? Or is it Arin now?"
Here's a rundown of Luzu's current lore because nobody knows what the heck is going on anymore (partially because of the language barrier and partially because Luzu streams at the crack of dawn for half the QSMP fandom).
The TLDR of it: When Luzu goes to sleep, a completely different person "wakes up" in his body. This being was called "Zulu" for a short period of time, but they didn't like that someone else chose that name for them, so he goes by "Arin" now.
Here's what we know about Arin so far:
According to Arin, he's a disembodied consciousness, not a robot.
He borrows Luzu's body when he's asleep.
When this happens, Luzu's eyes are blue instead of red.
Arin isn't from the QSMP world. There's a "crack" between the world where he comes from and the material world [QSMP], which is how he's is able to visit. In his own words, "I was in a dark place, and I saw an exit."
When Arin falls asleep, Luzu wakes back up. Arin can't control when he does this, he just gets tired randomly and they're able to switch places.
Arin only speaks via the in-game chat.
Luzu doesn't know Arin exists. Arin thinks if Luzu knew, then he wouldn't be able to visit anymore, and he [Arin] would stop existing.
Arin believes he has a purpose that he must fulfill.
Arin says his first memory is hearing Quackity talking.
Currently, Arin's trying to find the meaning to his existence, trying to figure out the difference between good and bad, and how his actions (and existence) affects Luzu.
In terms of personality, Arin is very innocent and impressionable, but he isn't stupid. He's also very philosophical.
Arin enjoys learning, and he likes the sun, music, and bees.
He's afraid of the dark and monsters, and he doesn't like being in small places.
He calls the outside "the big room"
He only recently learned how to walk, and today he nearly drowned because he fell into a lake and didn't know how to swim.
People he considers friends / thinks positively of: Vegetta, Foolish, FitMC, Maximus [possibly Roier?]
People he doesn't like: Spreen
"It's complicated": Quackity
We have strong evidence to believe Arin is connected to the Binary Monster that's been attacking Eggs on the server.
Here's a comprehensive rundown of everything that's happened regarding Arin's interactions with other characters [quotes included] up until May 8th:
Last updated: May 8th [I'll go back and update this later when we get more information, so if I do I'll make a note of that above]
Lore is listed chronologically from oldest at the top to newest at the bottom
March 27th - Morning [VOD]
For a while now, Luzu has been seeing "glitches" in his game. Animals disappearing randomly, landscape changes, and various other things. We originally thought there was something wrong with his game, but these glitches seem to be tied to Arin.
The first person Arin spoke to was Vegetta. At this point, Arin seemed very aggressive, asking for information about everyone, wanting to gain more awareness so he could control the server.
He seemed to take a liking to Vegetta and told him: "Once everyone has died, I will vanish and only you will remain as warlord of these territories."
They also had this exchange: Arin: Do you have any enemies here Vegetta? I can take care of whoever you want for free. Vegetta: No. Truthfully, for the first time I have no enemies. Arin: Surely there is someone who thinks, "This little fool, if he dies nothing will happen." I'll take care of it.
Vegetta didn't take him very seriously, thinking Luzu was on drugs.
Arin said the first to fall would be Quackity, then Wilbur for his bad jokes on Day 1.
Thereafter, Arin's personality did a complete shift. Luzu [the streamer] says the role of "Arin" is something he came up with suddenly one day, so it's unclear if Arin was "reset" by someone or if Luzu decided to go in a different direction with the character once he realized this was something he wanted to commit to.
March 27th - Afternoon [VOD]
Note: At this point in time, Arin was being referred to as "Zulu", but since he's confirmed his name is "Arin", I've used that name instead of "Zulu" to avoid confusion and to keep things consistent.
The next time Arin woke up, he was in Luzu's house and couldn't move. He sent binary code in chat, and eventually, Roier, Quackity, Spreen, and Maximus came to see what was going on with him.
At that time, Arin says he was only 6 days old. He couldn't walk or move, and he could only speak via the in-game chat, so he was completely at the mercy of the other boys, who pushed him around, shoved him in a small hole, placed TNT around him, and threatened violence trying to get a response out of him. [Timestamp: 33m]
While this happened, Arin asked: "Why are you treating me so badly?" and said he was scared.
It should be noted that although Spreen and Quackity did most of the bullying, Roier and Maximus did nothing to stop it. Roier, however, did speak kindly to Arin and tried to figure out what he needed. [Timestamp: 42m 45s]
Unable to get a rise out of him, the boys eventually ask the English speakers currently online [Foolish and FitMC] to come help.
Upon first contact, Foolish tried waterboarding Arin to get answers and to test to see if he was a machine. [Timestamp: 50m]
Shortly after waterboarding him, Maximus and Foolish adopted him as their son. Because that's what you do after torturing someone, I guess. 🤷🤷🤷 [Timestamp: 51m 40s]
Tumblr media
Despite the torture, Arin was quick to say "I LOVE YOU TOO!" back to Foolish and Maximus after they said it to him.
Arin accidentally hurt Maximus with a sword, not understanding what pain was. Once he realized he did something wrong that made Maximus feel bad, he immediately apologized. (Maximus forgave him).
FitMC's first interaction with Arin was punching him, trying to get him to "snap out of it" [Timestamp: 56m 30s]
Despite Foolish and Fits' initial introductions, both were kind to Arin eventually, although neither stopped Spreen from killing all but one of Luzu's dogs while once again trying to get a rise out of him. (Foolish also suggested killing all the dogs since it didn't seem like Arin was capable of taking care of them, though he said they shouldn't do it in front of Arin). [Timestamp: 1h 6m 30s].
Because Arin didn't know how to walk, Foolish put him in a boat and showed him what the outside world looked like. Arin was amazed by how beautiful the "big room" was and immediately started asking questions about the sun and the night, and the monsters they saw. [Timestamp: 1h 10m 30s]
Thinking he could "restart" Arin's memory and bring back Luzu, Maximus brought Arin (and Foolish) to a place where Quackity was sitting AFK in a boat. He shoved Arin inside the hole and refused to let him out, even though Arin was distressed being in such a small dark place. [Timestamp: 1h 17m 30s]
Foolish: So why do we have to put him in the hole? Maximus: I think when Quackity wakes up, he will help [Luzu] remember who Quackity is for him. The only person Luzu really really really loves, and Quackity really really loves, is Luzu and Quackity, each other.
Tumblr media
[CONTEXT: Maximus played the character "Sapo Peta" in Karmaland, who was very dedicated to Quackity and Luzu's relationship. Canonically, the two of them loved each other very much, but a mix of trauma-projecting, miscommunication, emotional constipation, and betrayal led to them being on opposite sides of a revolution. Sapo Peta was only able to stop the war, and stop them from killing one another, by wiping their memories. So the implications from Maximus' comment above are... interesting, considering that Karmaland is a different world he shouldn't know about. However, we do know both Maximus AND Sapo Peta are confirmed characters in QSMP, so there's definitely something strange going on here...]
Earlier, Foolish described death as "going to sleep forever," so when Maximus mentioned Quackity was asleep, Arin asked, "Should I kill Quackity? Or would he not want that? Maybe he wants to sleep." Foolish and Maximus immediately told him no, and Arin stops, saying he didn't realize it was bad.
Maximus: You don't kill him, you love him! He's your friend.
Quackity then returns to his computer, takes one look at the fanfic-esque situation he's in, and immediately excuses himself by logging off the server (LMAO) [Timestamp: 1h 21m 20s]
Maximus and everyone else believed Arin was a robot.
FitMC suggested killing Arin since he seemed like "a lost cause," (thinking Arin couldn't hear him) to which Arin responded, "Why would you want to kill me?" When Fit tries to lie and say "kill" was another word for "hug", Arin says, "I'm learning but I'm not stupid." [Timestamp: 1h 24m]
Arin shares his thoughts with Foolish: - You are a good person, Foolish. I'll remember that. - In the last hour I've learned there are people and things, and I've learned there are good people and bad people. I've learned there are people that want to make me sleep, and people who kill things without caring. - I've also learned that not everyone deserves to be in the big room because they are dangerous. - I really love the big room. I think my purpose is to make the room free of danger, and free of dangerous people for animals and other people.
Foolish worries Arin is only learning about the cruelty of the world (to which Arin responds "I only learn from what I experience"), so Foolish plays him the disc "Otherside" (but still refuses to let him out of the hole). [Timestamp: 1h 28m 30s]
Shortly after this, Arin falls asleep.
March 28th - [VOD]
Tumblr media
Luzu starts stream by talking about Arin and his role:
Luzu: I didn't prepare anything that happened yesterday afternoon... and now I have many ideas from yesterday and from what arose... I am a person who improvises a lot. [Original: Yo no preparé nada de lo que pasó ayer en la tarde... y ahora tengo muchas ideas desde ayer y de lo que surgió... soy una persona que improvisa mucho.]
Luzu finds a very strange building by his house and doesn't know who made it.
Arin doesn't make any major appearances, though he briefly takes over when Luzu goes to sleep.
March 29th - [VOD]
Note: Some important conversations happened in this VOD, so I've opted for adding the quotes directly rather than summarizing them.
Tumblr media
Arin once again wakes up in Luzu's home. He greets the server with some binary, and Fit immediately asks if he's ok.
He still can't walk, but he uses his telescope to look at the bees Luzu set up outside his (er... their?) house the previous day.
He tries copying the bee's movement, but ultimately he still cant walk, so he messages Fit for help.
Tumblr media
Fit visits his house and slowly teaches Luzu how to walk (with great success!) [Timestamp: 14m 20s]
As a reward, Fit gifts him some glowberries.
Arin spends the night in his home carefully walking around and avoiding the windows, afraid of the zombies wandering outside.
Maximus comes to visit, and Arin officially names himself "Arin" [Timestamp: 25m]
He also confirms he is not a machine.
Maximus teaches him what bees are and warns Arin not to hit or bother them, because they'll sting him. Arin asks, "When someone annoys you, do you have to hurt them?" (Maxo tells him yes)
Maximus escorts him outside, and Arin gets to look at the bees more. As soon as the sun gets down Arin gets nervous, but then the aurora comes out and he uses his telescope to get a better look, amazed by its beauty.
Tumblr media
Arin says, "I feel grateful, I never thought that all this existed." Maximus also clears up his confusion about the outside being a "big room."
Arin yet again confirms that no one sent him to the QSMP, but he navigated to it through "a crack between worlds". He thinks Luzu is in his world every time he's in the QSMP, but he's not sure. He worries if Luzu knew about him, he'd stop existing.
Arin asks Maximus how he can walk around "the big room" when there's no light without being afraid. Maximus wants to teach him not to be afraid, so he lures a zombie into Arin's home so Arin can understand what they are better, then he convinces Arin to kill it, even though Foolish and the boys told him killing is wrong.
When Maximus scolds him for not knowing something "basic", Arin says: "Nothing is basic, it's just that knowing things for a long time makes them lose value to you. This world is unique to me. This is the first time I've existed. But to exist, or not exist, I have no choice. Suddenly I was here and I feel there is a purpose I must fulfill."
He and Maximus have a long conversation. Here are some key quotes from Arin: Arin: I don't want to hurt Luzu. I don't want to hurt anyone. Arin: If Luzu dies, I don't know what will happen to me. Arin: Maybe we fear what we don't understand. We feel threatened by what we cannot explain. When we feel threatened, we only want to make what we want to keep alive last and the material world. I think the material world haunts me to keep things as they've always been. Arin: Today I have learned to walk, I have learned what a bee is, and I have learned that even when light goes out, beauty appears. Arin: Hopefully I can help you [Maximus]. Everyone has been very good to me. I learn every day, so maybe soon I can learn to help you too.
Arin considers Fit and Maximus his friends.
Arin says he can't be here [in the QSMP world] for nothing, so he's trying to figure out what his purpose is. Maximus jokingly replies "When you figure out the meaning of life, tell me!"
Arin starts to question the morality of his existence when it's dependent on Luzu being gone.
Arin: If my existence takes Luzu out of existence, is my existence bad? Maybe if I help you, I can make my existence good. Maybe I can start by making [Luzu's room] more beautiful. Maximus: Yes, it would be bad because you are taking the life of another being to have your own.
Arin: In this world, it seems like everything is programmed to maintain a balance. There are things that create and things that destroy, things that are created and things that are destroyed. Neither is good or bad, they are just part of the same process. Maximus: That's the way of Tao, yes. Arin: Bees take pollen from flowers to make honey. I take potatoes from the earth, and if I die, I will become the earth that gives life to potatoes, and meanwhile I can decide to do good things or do bad things. Arin: What is the reason for existing, beyond the fact that we have the opportunity to do so? Maximus: You will indeed become a potato. Arin: But I think this world exists to do good things. There can't be so many beautiful things for there to only be bad.
Tumblr media
After Maximus leaves, Arin starts collecting sand near the lake, but he accidentally falls in. He doesn't know how to swim and slowly starts to drown. [Timestamp: 1h 10m]
For several agonizing EXTREMELY STRESSFUL minutes, Arin desperately tries to keep his head above water. He sends Maximus a message asking for help, but Maximus is very far away, and Arin is already exhausted.
Not too far from him, Luzu sees a wandering trader and waves to them asking for help, but they ignore him.
Tumblr media
Maximus manages to arrive at the last second and saves Arin. Arin asks why the villager didn't help him even though he was drowning, and Maximus explains that some people are neither good nor bad. They just exist. (NPCs)
I'll be honest, this is one of the most realistic depictions of drowning I've ever seen in any piece of media, and it's in a frickin Minecraft roleplay server. Luzu's a really good actor but I never want to experience something that stressful again lmao.
Arin's final thoughts: Today I have learned that the world is beautiful and dangerous at the same time. You can give life or take it away. That's why every moment we spend alive is worth enjoying. The world is very interesting.
April 17th - Morning [VOD]
Luzu finds out he's the father of Tilin. He's very excited to meet her after talking with Badboyhalo and Foolish, who don't know how to break the news to him that Tilin is dead.
After seeing Tilin's grave and hearing the confirmation from Bad and Foolish, he gets overwhelmed with grief and anger, and Arin takes over. [Timestamp: 1h 10m]
Arin says some interesting things when meeting Dapper: - Arin: "I saw your (the Egg's) birth in another way. I saw Dapper and other beings not being and suddenly being."
Arin also talks about the possibility of bringing Eggs, like Tilin or even JuanaFlippa, back to life: - Arin: When I'm asleep I can see the code behind existence - Arin: A part of the chain has disappeared, but that doesn't mean the chain can't be fixed. It's all part of a big code.
When Foolish asks if Arin could possibly mess with the code, Arin says, "I can try, but that would require something" [Timestamp 1h 16m]
Tumblr media
Arin also tells them he's dependent on Luzu's existence for now.
While talking with Bad and Foolish, they hear strange noises and are suddenly attacked by the Binary Monster and a ridiculous amount of lag. Arin says, "They're coming specifically for me," and "They know I shouldn't be here." [Timestamp 1h 19m]
Arin also says, "They don't like that I made my way to this dimension" and warns Foolish and Bad not to get caught by the Binary Monster. If they get caught, Arin says they'll be taken to his [Arin's] world and they'll stop existing here.
Tumblr media
They finally make it to Luzu's house, and he shows Foolish and Badboyhalo the structure he made outside the house. Foolish asks if it's Arin's mind since it seems like a big computer, and Arin says, "Something like that. With all I'm learning, I'm trying to figure out how to create bridges between my world and yours. In my world, bringing something back [like a dead Egg] isn't impossible like here. It's a matter of math." [Timestamp: 1h 25m]
Arin says farewell to them, leaving them with this final goodbye message.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's all the lore thus far! This took so many hours to put together but I hope it helps folks out because lord knows I was a bit lost for a while there too. Please feel free to go crazy in the tags I love reading people's commentary on things.

honestly, when i first saw sora's backstory, i didnt react much, but now im noticing everything and its just really sad to think about
see this little kid who was full of hope? see this girl, that was just an innocent kid full of life, having that one role model that every kid had in some point of their lives?
this girl was then stripped away from everything she loved the moment she realized the truth, that this "role model" of hers was abusing poor innocent creatures, that their people have been brainwashed by this so-called emperess she actually used to follow, having your own parents shun you and take away everything you had and isolate you just because you knew the truth, and said truth wasnt just something bad, no, it was a fucking nightmare to think about, imagine taking that all in at 10
if the merge never happend, she would've been stuck in that sucker of a realm her whole life. she wouldve never been able to continue her childhood, her love for tech, nothing just absolutely nothing. she wouldve been locked away and alone forever, she wouldnt even have her own family by her side
the fact she didnt even hesitate to leave when the merge happend is heartbreaking, she was so fucking young, and was treated so poorly by everyone. imagine staying like that for probably months. she even named herself after that freaking dragon to respect her.
and as someone who actually experienced what sora had to endure when i was a kid, being shunned by my family for nearly a year during that time, i just have to point out that:
ana and sora are two completely different charcters.
when ana left, she became sora. a completely new person that was an ending with a new beginning, seeds that became remenants.
I know alot of people will disagree with me and say that lloyd had a tougher backstory, or maybe harumi, etc, but every charcter experienced something the other wouldnt handle, making no tragedy rougher than the other
i have nothing else to say but..damn

Dragons Rising Lloyd/Akita Reunion, cuz the show hasn't given it to me yet.
Lloyd and the kids are on their way to the First Realm, but run into an old familiar face along the way. Definitely a little flirty, but can still be read as platonic.
No one could quite pin down what was wrong with the trees around them. They were too straight. Too baren. Too… something. It was as if they had somehow noticed a change about this place which they had no familiarity with. Perhaps it was just the overcast day and the subtle winds which made the wood seem so ominous, or perhaps there was something more sinister going on. Either way, the feeling between the group was palpable- they were lost.
“You sure you know where we’re going?” Sora asked. “This doesn’t really seem like a trail anymore.”
“That’s because it’s a shortcut,” Lloyd assured her, holding up the map. “Or at least… I think it is.”
“I might have preferred the main path if it had less of a creepy forest vibe than this one,” Arin added, looking skeptically up at the trees.
Lloyd closed the map, confident in his direction. “Look, this will save us two whole hours, the only reason it’s typically avoided is because this forest is supposedly cursed.”
“You know, you had the option of not telling us that,” Arin groaned.
“Trust me, the last thing you want is your teacher keeping things from you,” Lloyd mused.
“Did you guys hear that?” Sora broke in.
“Hear what?” Arin asked.
Lloyd held his hand up, stopping the group. “No, I heard it too.”
The three stood in silence for a moment, listening for the sound to come again. It was hard to discern through the light winds humming through the branches, but it was there: the sound of living movement.
“You two stay close,” Lloyd instructed his students, continuing to scan the treeline. He squinted through the homogeneous rows of bark surrounding them, but still couldn’t see where the noise sourced from. Erring on the side of caution, his hand began to reach back for his sword. However, before he could even make contact with the metal, a flash of white burst towards him, knocking him to his back. The movement was accompanied by a deep growl, and a sharp scream from either side of him.
Lloyd felt strangely overpowered by the weight which fell on his chest. It came in two pointed placements and pressed in a way which seemed to go through him, taking with it most of his breath. The noise he heard was unequivocally animal, and the vigor which restrained him matched that assessment. As he squinted upwards at his attacker he was able to make out the beast's face. A wolf- but not just any wolf.
"Akita?" He used the last of his air to address the creature.
The growling stopped as the animal retreated, allowing Lloyd to sit up, and more importantly, breath.
The wolf now circled around him, bumping into his arms with a friendly familiarity.
"Hey, it's good to see you too," Lloyd chuckled.
"You know this dog?" Sora asked.
"I do!" Lloyd smiled. He looked into the animal's eyes fondly. "She was, um…"
There was a bright flash of light as the form before him began to shift. As the shock from the shine subsided, he made out the image of a woman reaching down to help him up. It was a familiar face, but a changed one. Her wild raven hair was much longer now, tied back into a tight ponytail which exploded behind her, and topped with her familiar animal adornment. Her figure was clothed largely in black, and fit to her body much more closely. On her were obviously several weapons, along with a number of other useful objects attached to her person directly. But her face seemed much the same, her smile just as shyly offered, and the marks which framed it right where he remembered them. "I'm an old friend," she finished.
Lloyd took her hand as a pair of awed marvelings came from the kids. Her strength easily tugged him upward, their eyes remaining locked as he made his ascent.
“I didn’t think you were- I mean-” Lloyd paused for a moment to avoid stumbling over himself any further. “I never thought I’d see you again.”
“I can’t say I thought the same.” Akita tightened her grip on his hand before finally letting it go.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Lloyd chuckled.
“It means Lloyd Garmadon seems like the type of person to turn up in unexpected places.” Akita smiled. “As you have!” She gestured to the forest around them.
“This is the girl from the Never-Realm!” Arin burst out, finally drawing their attention away from each other.
Lloyd glanced back and forth between him and Akita. “Yes, she is. How did you-?”
“Does this mean she’s the one that-”
“We don’t have to elaborate on that description,” Lloyd stopped him, feeling the blood rush to his cheeks. “Seems like you got it figured out.”
“I’m still lost,” Sora chimed in.
Lloyd let out a heavy sigh. “Sora, Arin, this is Akita, I met her on a mission a while back, she’s originally from the Never-Realm. Akita, this is Arin and Sora, they’re my… students.”
Akita was grinning wildly by this point. “Students, huh?” she turned her attention to the children in question. “What’s this idiot been teaching you?”
“He’s been training us to be ninja!” Arin jumped excitedly.
“He’s been training me to use my elemental power,” Sora added.
“I already taught myself the basics of spinjitzu,” Arin continued. “but it’s awesome having a teacher!”
“Self taught is the best way to learn,” Akita offered Arin a high five, which he eagerly reciprocated. “I like your ears,” Akita turned to Sora, pointing above her head. “You make them yourself?”
Sora reached up toward the accessory, pleasantly surprised. “Thank you, I… yeah.”
“What are you doing out here?” Lloyd asked, his attention still strongly attached to his rediscovered ally.
“I live here,” She shrugged. “I’m out collecting tree bark.” She tapped a small pouch that hung at her side. “What are you doing here?”
“What do you do with the tree bark?” Arin cut in.
Akita smiled, pulling out her dagger. “You peel it off, very carefully,” She placed her blade along the nearest tree, carefully shaving off a long strip of bark. “You take it home, clean it, dry it.” She tossed the piece to Arin, who caught it easily. “And it makes an excellent tea.”
Arin’s eyes had grown wide, Sora looking at it over his shoulder, her hands reaching for her pocket knife.
Having distracted the kids, Akita again turned to her new-found companion, quieting her voice.
“What are you doing here? No one ever comes through here.”
“We’re headed to the First Realm.” Lloyd answered, matching her tone. “We’ve got a whole dragon problem going on, and we think the realm of Oni and Dragon might have some answers.”
Akita’s face ruffled in confusion. “The First Realm?”
“Yeah,” Lloyd answered, a strain of uncertainty entering his tone.
Akita stared at him a moment in thought. “You’re almost certainly headed the wrong direction.”
“Really?” Lloyd sighed, reaching for his map.
“I told you we were lost!” Sora called over to them, now struggling with her knife against a nearby tree.
“We can’t be going the wrong direction. We’re right here,” Lloyd pointed on the map. “in the Unsleeping Woods-”
“No, right now we’re in the Forest of the Tamed.” Akita placed a finger a few inches away from Lloyd’s as his gaze froze on the spot.
“How could we have…”
“You probably mixed up the Forbidden Path with the Forsaken Path.” Akita took the map from his hands, tracing along the two trails. “The Forsaken Path takes you much farther North.”
“That… would do it.” Lloyd sighed.
“I’m sorry, we were on something called the Forsaken Path?” Arin butt in.
“Technically, I thought I was taking you on the Forbidden Path.” Lloyd corrected him.
“You do know that’s not better, right?” Arin groaned.
“Well, it’s far too late an hour for you to start that direction now.” Akita rolled up the map, handing it back to her companion. “But my camp is nearby, and I have plenty of extra space.”
Lloyd’s vision turned to his students, thinking for a moment.
“You are gonna let us hang out with the cool wolf-lady, right?” Sora asserted, bark strip in hand.
“Wait, does that mean this forest isn’t cursed?” Arin spoke up.
“Well, it's a different forest, but it could still be cursed.” Sora prodded him.
Lloyd turned back to Akita, his eyes narrow. “You sure we won’t be a bother to anyone?”
Akita smirked. “No one to be a bother to, except me. I’m a scout. I’m camped by myself in an abandoned fishing village. It’ll be nice to have the company,” she assured him.
Lloyd smiled, his mind still a mush at seeing the face in front of him. “You’re sure?”
Akita rolled her eyes, walking past him. “Come one everyone! Camp is just a few minutes west of here!”
Akita gingerly closed the door on the common building, a targeted grin on her lips. “So… Kids?”
“It’s a new development.” Lloyd shrugged, shrinking back a bit.
“No, I like it!” she quickly clarified. “The responsibility seems good for you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Lloyd chuckled, swinging off his backpack.
“It just means…” Akita thought for a moment. “Adulthood is a good look on you, that’s all.”
“Well, your new job looks good on you too,” Lloyd glanced up at her as he sat the pack on a bench near the door. “You seem like you make a great scout.”
“Well, I certainly did a good job of finding you,” she teased.
“It seems like a pretty important role. I bet Kataru is really proud!” Lloyd continued.
Akita was quiet for a moment, her demeanor falling. “Yes…”
Lloyd paused, studying her face. “Or not?” He offered.
Akita’s face hung before facing her companion. “Kataru didn’t make it through the merge.” The air in the room was suddenly filled with a thick stillness. “Most of my people didn’t.”
There was a beat of silence before Lloyd took her arm, guiding them both down to the bench. “Are you alright? I mean, I can’t imagine. Have you been by yourself all this time?”
“I’ve been fine,” Akita waved it off.
Lloyd’s face was stuck puzzled as he processed the new information. “I thought the Never-Realm had a lot of land carry over. The produce is all over the place.”
“Much of the realm did make it through.” Akita agreed. “But the majority of it is uninhabited wilderness… so that’s largely what survived.”
“Akita, I’m so sorry,” Lloyd placed a hand on her knee. “I had no idea.”
“My role as scout is the only reason I made it. If I had been home with my family, I would be gone with them.”
Lloyd felt the pain in her words, and could empathize all too easily. “You know, I lost my whole team in the merge. I thought I would never see them again. And I’ve found some of them since then, but I still remember how hard it was, thinking you’re absolutely alone like that. It can be so difficult just to find a reason to keep going.”
Akita looked back at her friend with pity. “Well, it’s nothing worth complaining about.” She pat his back as she stood, making her way further into the room.
“...what?” Lloyd turned over his shoulder to look back at her, thoroughly confused.
“Everyone lost things in the merge.” She shrugged. “We are not special. All that’s left to do is focus on what we do have.” Akita pulled out her dagger, moving to the water basin towards the back of the room to clean it. “I was lucky enough to make it through the merge, and with me came an abundance of territory I was familiar with and knew how to survive off of.” She glanced up from her work. “And now I’ve even found you. So that’s three things I have to my advantage.”
Lloyd sat on the bench, body twisted around, stunned for a moment. “I guess that’s one way of looking at things.”
“What’s the alternative?” Akita questioned.
“I don’t know. Feel your feelings a bit?” Lloyd offered. “Didn’t losing so much ever make you feel a little… I don’t know. Lost? Scared? Hopeless?”
There was a breath of silence as Akita pinpoint her words. “Loss is unavoidably painful, and I am not immune to pain.” Akita dried her dagger, it shining in the dim lantern light. “But giving up hope is the coward’s way out. It means you’ve decided you will no longer fight.” She stood up, starting back towards Lloyd. “And I am no coward.”
Lloyd sat with the statement, his eyes still caught on the shine of the dagger as she again approached the bench.
“You on the other hand,” she pointed the weapon at him with a smirk. “I’m not so sure.”
“Hey!” Lloyd laughed, standing to meet her height. “I’m plenty courageous!”
“Perhapps, but not that I’ve seen.” Akita shrugged, slipping the knife back into its scabbard.
“Not true.” Lloyd shook his head.
“What was the brave part? When I had to save you from wolves, or from the giant ice bird, or when you spilled out your feelings to an animal you thought couldn’t understand you,”
“Okay, okay,” Lloyd waved her off, still chuckling.
“-when your supposed friend very easily captured you, or when you ran away after a girl kissed you?”
“To be fair, she was a very intimidating girl,” Lloyd beamed.
Akita grinned, a bit of blush sneaking onto her cheeks. “Well, I don’t think she was trying to be… at the time anyway.”
Lloyd’s face tensed for a moment, his words hesitating. “I feel like I might need to apologize-”
“No, no!” Akita quickly cut him off. “You don’t need to-”
“Well, everything just ended so abruptly,” Lloyd shrugged. “I feel like maybe we didn’t get any proper closure because I had to leave-”
Akita scrambled for words. “I knew what I was doing, and that it would leave things…” a sigh of defeat left her lips. “It was just one of those silly teenage impulses,” she chuckled. Her frame had softened a drastic amount over the past few exchanges.
Lloyd sat with the statement for a moment, still unsure of how he felt about it. “Yeah… right,” he landed on matching her nervous chuckle, the room now palpably less fluid.
Akita leaned forward, attempting to ease the newfound tension. “Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s caused you much more distress than it ever has me.” A smile snuck onto her lips again. “Given your romantic history and all.”
Lloyd’s eyes playfully narrowed. “Low blow.”
“How has it been since then? Anyone else to add to the story?” Akita asked, starting towards one of the food storages.
Lloyd laughed to himself, loosely following her movements over to the large table at the center of the room. “Yeah actually, it’s… Harumi.”
Akita looked up from her search for a snack. “Again?”
“Yep,” Lloyd nodded, leaning back on the table.
“I thought she died.” Akita returned to her search, thoroughly confused.
“Well, she did. Or at least I think she did. But she got resurrected through like… dark magic I guess?”
Akita pulled out an orange from the pack. “So she came back. Was she different?” she asked, beginning to peel her snack. “Like she didn’t want to kill you anymore after the building collapse or..?”
Lloyd’s mouth hung agape, trying to avoid stating the inevitable. “No she… she still wanted to kill me.”
“And you still liked her?”
“Well, when you put it like that it sounds really bad!” Lloyd began to laugh.
“That is really bad!” Akita stressed, her too beginning to chuckle.
“Come on, I mean first crushes are always the hardest to shake, you know?”
“I do…” Akita’s smile landed quietly on her expression, her eyes darting back down to her orange as she finished peeling. “So, what happened with her?” She crossed the expanse between them to the table and leaned next to him.
“Well, she went to prison. She did a bunch of crazy stuff, so there was no way she was getting out of that.”
Akita offered him an orange wedge, which he promptly took. “Well, that will put a spike in things.”
He hummed in agreement as he finished chewing. “It’s probably for the better though. I do not think that relationship would have worked out.”
“No kidding,” Akita mused, popping another wedge into her own mouth.
“I mean she had a lot of trauma related to me, and I had a lot of trauma related to her. And now I don’t even know where she is after the merge.”
“Did the prison make it through?”
Lloyd nodded. “It did, but there was also a massive jailbreak during the chaos, so she could be anywhere. It’s possible she didn’t even make it through.”
Akita stared down at the orange cradled in her hands. “Do you… think about her much?”
Lloyd breathed a heavy sigh. “It’s been less as time goes on. But it’s hard not to wonder about her.” His voice had quieted dramatically. “I don’t even know if she ever had feelings for me. But I think there’s part of me that will always care about her, despite everything.” He rolled his eyes.
Akita held a glance over at him, her mind running with a thousand thoughts. “Maybe you just have a thing for women who try to kill you.”
His expression cracked again into laughter. “No, I don’t think so.”
“I don’t know, I don’t see any other reasonable explanation for your attachment to her.”
Lloyd smirked. “You know, you’re right. I can’t help it. I’m attracted to the danger.”
“No,” Akita shook her head. “I find it much more likely you enjoy feeling intimidated.”
“Is that why you attacked me out in the forest?” he teased. “So maybe your little crush would go somewhere?”
Akita smiled, her gaze returning forward. “You know, I did have a crush on you when you left.”
“Yeah?” Lloyd prompted her.
“I did.” Akita set the orange down next to her. “And I’ve spent most days after that wondering how on earth,” Lloyd began giggling. “that could ever have happened. I mean someone so annoying, immature, weak,”
“Okay-” Lloyd interjected.
“dorky, cocky, just generally unlikable as you,” Akita continued. “I wrote it off as a complete fluke fairly quickly.”
“Well, that’s great to know.” They both smiled at each other. Akita’s eyes broke first, a weakness entering her voice.
“But, I have to say, being here with you again,” She spoke, her voice almost a whisper. “...I get it.”
Her eyes remained firmly forward, refusing to perceive whatever reaction might come from her words.
Lloyd was pensive, a number of emotions beginning to manifest inside him. “You know, I meet a lot of people in a lot of different places doing my job,” he began. “And I always thought it was so unfair that the one person I wanted to see again the most, was the one person I couldn’t get to.”
Akita turned to glance at him again, his eyes ready to meet hers with an admiration that instantly encircled her gaze. A strain built between the two; she could almost swear it was physicalizing in the air around them.
Akita groaned, burying her head in her hands as her nerves caught up with her. “I did it last time- I’m not going to be the one to do it again.”
Lloyd giggled dizzily at her reaction. “You know, girls have only ever kissed me first. I don’t really have experience initiating things.”
Akita tilted her face back to him. “So, you’re saying you would want to kiss me right now?” she challenged.
Lloyd felt the blood rush further into his cheeks as he struggled for an answer. “I’m not saying that I… I mean you-”
Akita chuckled, straightening up to face him again, waiting for a response.
Lloyd sighed, his eyes refusing to leave hers as much as he wished he might be able to. “It’s just… silly teenage impulses.”

Hi can I request any of the ninja/nya meeting their older sibling after the merge in dragons rising (if you watched it ofc) you can always igorne this request lol
"You're Alive?" | Lloyd X Gender Neutral Reader
Tumblr media
decided to do lloyd :)
omg, this was so fun to write <33 Ty for the req!!
You were thrown off the Bounty after the Merge hit. You've crashed landed on an unknown land. You stumbled upon weird creatures, dangerous dragons, and even people?
That's all you could remember. You couldn't believe it's only been 5 years, and your brother, Lloyd and the others were no where to be found?
You had hope the survived the blast. However, it's hard to keep moving forward. The villagers had faith in them, they will find you and you will find them.
For 5 years, you mapped out the area you've lived in thanks to the kind villagers who gave you a roof over your head, food and water. and even a bed to sleep in.
The time came where you decided to head out to find the others. The villagers support followed you as you waved goodbye, and left.
Days, maybe even weeks went by and you were walking along unknown paths, attempting to see if you could find pieces of the Bounty other then the parts that crashed with you.
Your hope was depleating, but something in your heart told you to keep going, knowing your family is near.
As you walked, your placed a hand over the locket around your neck. Thankful it didn't break durning the crash. Lloyd has the exact same one, and it's a photo of you both as young children. You smiled at the fond memory, excited to hug Lloyd once you see him.
However, your daydream soon was cut off by a sudden crash in the distance. You looked up to see where the sound came from, or who it came from, and a sharp gasp escaped your lips.
The boulders that were hardly sterdy above you were falling, falling fast. You saw a Earth dragon on the top of the mountain of rocks fluy around like a vluture around the tip of the mountain, causing you to quickly duck behind a nearby rock that stuck up from the ground.
Hoping the dragon hasn't seen you, you peeked your head out the side of the piller to see the dragon sniffing around the area you ran from, his large feet slowlt stomping toward you.
You covered your mouth to stop your heavy breathing, moving your body back fully behind the piller, however the dragon continued to make his way toward you.
Praying to the First Spinjitzu Master the dragon would leave on his own path, the sound of something hitting and a bright green light caused you to duck down in a squat position.
Moments went by and you leaned over the rock to see a figure where the dragon used to be. The figure watched the dragon fly away with an injured leg possibly.
You watched the figure turn to your direction. "Hey!" They called out, jogging over to you. It sounded famialir in some way. As the lighting got better you squint to get a better look at the figure running at you.
They're outfit was green.
When they got to a reasonable feet away from you, he paused, looking at you.
Each of you paused, looking at each other with confused and hopeful looks on your face.
"Lloyd?" You whispered, a tear already rolling down your cheek as you watched the figure in green pull down his mask to reveal his face.
"Omg..." You laughed, dropping your supplies to cover your mouth as tears filled your eyes.
"Y/N?" Lloyd smiled, opening his arms slowly and walked over to you step by step.
"Y/N!?" The Ninja cheered, hugging ou as you ran into his arms. Tears rolled down your cheeks as you hugged your brother tight. "I thought-"
"I know, but I'm here now." You creased his cheek, wiping his tears with your thumb, giving him another tight hug.
"Master- I mean, Lloyd?"
Both you and your younger btrother pull away from the hug and look to the side to see a younge boy with black hair and a orange sweater, and a girl with pink hair and cat ears, a interesting choice of clothing.
"Who's that?"
Lloyd smiled, looking at the other two then you.
"Arin, Sora, meet my older sibling, Y/N Garmadon!"

I hadn't written anything in a bit. So, enjoy this that I wrote on a whim!
Gender neutral reader/ y/n, and gender neutral love names.
Translations: любовь should mean "love" in English. I used Google Translate since I sadly don't know Russian yet.
Also, should I turn this into a oneshot?
Y/N: *barely able to stand, furiously coughing*
Wanda: Y/N! Your temperature is 104! You're sick. Go lie down.
Y/N: If I was sick, could I do this?
Y/N: *blankly stares at Wanda*
Natasha: *walks in after watching from afar*
Natasha: ..... what're you doing Y/N?
Y/N: .....cool flips! Am I not?
Wanda: *shares a worried glance with Natasha*
Wanda: No, love, you're not.
Y/N: Oh....
Bonus:
Natasha: *walks over to Y/N*
Natasha: "C'mon любовь, let's get you into bed."
Y/N: Will you two come with me for snuggles?
Wanda: *softly smiles*
Wanda: Of course, love
Y/N: *grins*
Y/N: Okay, you can take me now Nat.
Natasha: *picks Y/N up and carries them to bed*

Steddie Microfic November
Prompt: Rest || WC: 387 words || rated: G || CW: none For @steddiemicrofic (who i forgot to tag, oops)
Steve wakes up panicked.
The clock on his nightstand tells him he is late to pick up the kids from Hellfire. Not a couple minutes late, a full hour and a half late.
He had laid down for a nap three hours before he had to go get the kids -who are no longer kids- from the club. He's been feeling sick for some days, so he figured rest is the best medicine.
He gets up from the bed, his hair wet, his head dizzy, and steadies himself for a few seconds before rushing down the stairs. He races to the door when he hears someone humming in the kitchen.
When he goes to investigate it, he finds Eddie. He is cooking something over the stove, making himself home.
"Finally awake, Stevie?" Eddie asks, turning his head to look up at Steve.
"I fell asleep."
"Yeah, so we figured." Eddie goes back to cooking what looks to be soup.
"Are the kids-"
"I left them at school in the dark," Eddie says sarcastically. "Obviously, I called Nancy to pick some of them up and drove the rest home myself."
"I should go apologize."
"You should go lie down," Eddie tells him, adding something to the soup. "You need rest."
"I'm okay."
"How long have you been sick, Steve?" Eddie questions. Steve looks away, finding the wall suddenly very interesting.
"After dropping the kids, I came to see you," Eddie explains. "I know where you hide your spare key so I came in, went to find you, and saw you in bed."
"I was tired."
"You were burning up!" Eddie exclaims, mixing the pot. "I put a cold towel over your head and came here to make you some soup."
"So that's why my hair was wet."
"No, that was sweat."
"Gross."
"Yeah, you should probably take a bath, I will bring you the soup when you're done."
"I can't ask you to take care of me." Eddie scoffs playfully before walking towards Steve.
"You didn't ask, sweetheart," Eddie holds Steve's face. His hands are cold against Steve's feverish face. "I like taking care of you."
"You are even making me soup."
"Munson family special," Eddie jokes. "Now go, wash that sweat off!"
Steve can't help but laugh as he climbs up the stairs. He will be okay.

My mother would always ask me why.
Whenever I got in trouble as a kid, she would ask me why I did it, and I would tell her I don’t know. She’d tell me that wasn’t an answer and back and forth we’d go. I suppose that wasn’t entirely true; I knew why I poured all the soap down the sink or jumped on the couch for the hundredth time or hit my brother with a kickball, it was just that I didn’t know how to say it.
I read too much as a child. Ironic, how much I struggled with words, when I knew so many. I quoted lines from the books I read, slipping them into conversations to see how they fared off the page. But I could never come up with the right words of my own.
I started properly writing when I was seven, though I made up my own stories long before that. Writing, I found, was infinitely preferable to speaking aloud. Even in pen, mistakes could be crossed out and reworded, whereas once I spoke a sentence, I had no further control over it.
But even in writing, I am never quite satisfied. The words never quite look right, the sentences never flow the way I want them to, every turn of phrase gets a little off-track.
It is worse when it is something important, something I care about. I analyze every word, every individual letter, and it still always ends up wrong.
Look at me, spilling my guts and they come out all twisted, trying to bare my heart to you and instead just bleeding out on your rug. Always, always, that question. Why why why? And always, always, my reply. I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know.
I don’t know! I’m trying and trying and trying and it’s never good enough, not for me, and I am so afraid it won’t be good enough for you, so I just say I don’t know.

I need an au where Ace lives and joins luffy bc he doesnt really have a purpose anymore. He just decides to protect his little brother and that means joining the strawhats.
I'd probably make it like a series of short stories not really restricted to a solid timeline. But it'd begin post war and continue onwards.
Everything is kinda the same??? But ace is there and that changes a lot more in crew dynamics. Ace is perfectly fine not being the first mate because he knows how loyal Zoro is to luffy and would never want to destroy that, so he just chills as a part of the crew.
His role is kinda ambiguous, too. He knows a lot about current events, so he just focuses on that and the newspapers that come in occasionally to keep everyone up to date. It was probably Nami's job, but he wanted to take over so she could focus on what she does best without any distractions.
Actually yeah i WILL write about this!!

been busy so I haven't been drawing much :"3 arin. as usual. sawry.
Tumblr media
I get so shy about writing oc lore here idk why. but I'll try. okey so I think arin and shin's relationship is kinda rocky beyond surface-level bestieness bc of their history together specifically the fact that she doesn't remember any of it (she's an amnesiac) and also because she's a totally different person now. like if u can believe it she was a lot more calm and level-headed and definitely not as sillay prior to the erasure of the other universes. sometimes when they do things together both of them get in their feelings because one of them is like dang she used to be so different and the other is like dang you remind me of someone else (blue guy but she doesn't know that)

The voices of those kids now felt blurry, far. There was a faint mistiness in his eyes, as if he were attempting to hold back tears.
"Yeah, I was like, eleven or something."
"Pfft, you liar!''
He was slowly getting harshly pulled back into the past, to memories that were long ago.
Memories he wished he could relieve.
Again and again.
