I stormsvarte fjell, jeg vandrer alene
Over isbreen tar jeg meg frem
I eplehagen står møyen den vene
og synger "når kommer du hjem?"
Men trærne danser og fossene stanser
når hun synger, hun synger "kom hjem"
When she sings, she sings "come home"
-
In storm-black mountains, I wander alone
Over the glacier I make my way
In the apple garden stands the maiden fair
and sings, “When will you come home?”
But the trees dance and the waterfalls stop
when she sings, she sings “Come home”
When she sings, she sings “Come home”
A super rough 3AM sketch based on @birdantlers fic! I BOLTED from my bed to draw this in a lightning bolt of inspiration. Might make it look better later.
i learned that Johnny Appleseed (John Chapman) was not only a nurseryman who introduced apple trees to large parts of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia and Ontario. He was a vegetarian who loved animals dearly and had a pet wolf that followed him after he healed its injured leg (x)
Another great display of local East of England Malus domestica cultivars (apples). The exhibit was provided by the ‘Orchards for All’ project which encourages and celebrates growing local varieties in community orchards.
