Doodle dump time!

First up we have my designs of Bobby Fulbright. Post-DD, I based him around a hybrid combination of his concept art, hair and the ascot, and though he isn’t colored, he would have the green coat with a blue ascot. The two other doodles are of him pre UR-1 because… lol ^_^ (Im in love with the Bobby is a Debeste hc and that’s why he has the ahoge and i’ve fluffed up his hair)

The rabbit eared Kristoph was from a joke made in the roleplay server. Buuut speaking of, the third sketch is also from the rp server. A photograph in Apollo’s home taken by Kristoph as celebration for joining his firm. Bittersweet memory

Fourth image is of my Kristoph pony having a cute little picnic with a pair of butterflies. He’s content and at peace, well deserved moment of quiet I think. (Part of our April Fools roleplay where everyone was just an animal. He shouldn’t be a unicorn, but I used what I already had on hoof)

The twins, Apollo and Benny celebrate their 5th birthday this round!

Thomas invites himself to stay over for a few days. Maira is ecstatic.

While Rahmi and Thomas still have a very strong friendship, she isn't thrilled about having her ex-husband as a houseguest. Anything to make her kids and grandchildren happy, though, right?

Maira goes to work at the new Strangerville Military Base. Now that her children are getting older, Maira wants to accomplish some of her goals.

June 11

Some may say I'm nuts for hosting a party so close to my due date - I thought it was brilliant. If I went into labor, everyone I need - minus Annalise - would be there already. I was tempting my child into being born but he or she wouldn't go for it. They're stubborn just like their parents.

In invited pretty much everyone but some couldn't make it. Aubree had a work meeting she couldn't miss. Joey is away in San Sequoia helping Jillian with the situation going on with her Dad. Naya had to work. Rahmi's youngest kids are spending time with their Father.

It was still great to see those who did show up, I've been missing some of them to be honest. Even Caleb and Dakota were talking to each other without scowling - they've come along ways from trying to kill each other.

I got to see my nephew! I'm always happy to see him. He looked especially adorable with in his outfit today.

I took time to introduce Rahmi to Ukupanipo. I may have some matchmaking motives in that introduction - time will tell. I know it's a bit soon but having a new friend never hurts things. Is it bad I want to see everyone happy? I don't think so. I just can't be pushy about it.

I spent time with my brother. He may drive me crazy at times but I'm so glad I have him. Lucky was trying to get him to give her a tofu taco that someone made and brought.

I caught up with Dakota and Lilith, though she seemed sad about something. It may be her situation with Jackson. She excused herself to go find her brother as I chowed down on the tacos and listened to Dakota talk about his upcoming deployment in Hidden Springs.

"It's almost like going to another world there. It sucks I can't go and be with Jillian during the intervention with her Dad...at least Joey will be there." Dakota told me, I could tell he was worried about Jillian and her family, so am I. "And he does have more experience with this type of situation than I do..."

I nodded my head "Just stay in touch with her, she understands."

It was a good day. We stuffed ourselves and caught up with one another. Even though baby Vatore didn't make their appearance like I hoped, I'm glad we hosted this party.

Seen some folks who are wondering how Holmes can have no literature knowledge yet quote Shakespeare and I’m here to blow your fucking minds: Watson is the reason he has this knowledge. We all know Watson loves reading and since it’s canon that Holmes takes him to see operas and live orchestras it stands to reason that Watson would also take Holmes to see Shakespeare plays at the Theatre Royal or the Adelphi and shit. Mystery solved job done

A 2,000-Year-old Iron Age Gold Treasure Found in Wales

Gold coins dating back more than 2,000 years have been found by metal detectorists in Wales, making them the first hoard of Iron Age gold coins to have been discovered in the country.

The 15 coins, which have been declared treasure, are known as staters. They were found the Welsh island of Anglesey, off the northwest coast of the country’s mainland.

Struck between 60 BC and 20 BC, the coins belonged to the Corieltavi tribe, who at the time inhabited the geographical area that is now England’s East Midlands, according to a National Museum Wales press release.

The precious metals were unearthed by three metal detectorists in a field between July 2021 and March 2022.

Lloyd Roberts, who said he has been a metal detectorist for more than 14 years, found the first coin.

“Finding a gold stater was always number one on my wish list,” he said in the release, adding: “That one coin alone would have made my year, but I went on to find another on my next signal.”

Roberts said that his friend, Peter Cockton, found the next three. They then contacted the Portable Antiquities Scheme, an organization which records such historical and archaeological finds.

Tim Watson, who said he only began metal detecting following encouragement from his father during lockdown, found the sixth.

“I rushed home to show my wife and we were both in awe of this coin, which was like nothing else I had found, immaculately preserved with such unusual stylised images,” Watson said in the release.

Watson said his enthusiasm led him to upgrade his metal detector and he found the remaining nine coins in the following weeks.

‘Rich archaeological landscape’

The gold coins’ elaborate design derives from those of Philip II, who ruled the ancient kingdom of Macedonia from 359 BC to 336 BC. The heads side of the coins shows the mythological deity Apollo’s wreath and hair, while the tails side shows a triangular-headed horse surrounded by symbols.

The coins were likely not used for everyday transactions, except potentially for some high-value purchases, according to the release. Instead, the staters are thought to have been used as gifts between the elites to secure alliances or show loyalty.

Another option is that the Corieltavi tribe used them to form part of an exchange for copper, which there were sources of in various parts of the island.

The staters could also have been used as “offerings to the gods” to fulfill a vow, according to National Museum Wales. Other archaeological finds from Anglesey, as well as Roman sources referring to the island that feature pagan priests, suggest the area was an important religious center at the time.

Gwynedd Archaeological Trust visited the site in September 2021 to see if there were any clues as to why the coins were buried there.

“This hoard is a fantastic example of the rich archaeological landscape that exists in North-West Wales,” said Sean Derby, Historic Environment Record archaeologist at Gwynedd Archaeological Trust. “While the immediate vicinity of the find did not yield any clues as to the find’s origin, the findspot lies in an area of known prehistoric and early Roman activity and helps increase our understanding of this region.”

Welsh museum Oriel Môn is looking to acquire the coins and put them on public display.
