In my beautiful mind Yugi stays five foot nothing but Atem would be five foot six because it's important to me that he's taller than Yugi but still short enough to give Kaiba back pain where he has to look down at him all the time

I don't think Atem is a goth necessarily but I do think he's such a dork that he'd always aim to have matching couple outfits with Yugi. If you pay attention you'll notice differences in their style [Atem likes loose flowy clothes and wears short to knee length skirts whereas Yugi likes things tighter and wears long skirts exclusively, Yugi also has thicker and more elaborate makeup etc] but at a glance they just look like a matching goth couple bickering over whether pokemon or digimon is better

Atem is so used to Yugi doing makeup for the both of them that when he gets to Aaru and has to do it himself for the first time he absolutely fucking sucks at it. Yugi always made it look so easy and yes Atem knows he could just get someone else to do it on him but it wouldn't be the same and he's a pharaoh he can do this - cue Mana and Mahaad commentating on his three hour struggle to do a perfect wing. He pokes himself in the eye more than once and is so close to just breaking the rules and kidnapping Yugi to do it for him

"falin isn't fat in canon (so stop unduly giving this series credit for fat representation in her case)": a very fair point! it *is* honestly a bit concerning that people are so conditioned by media to think stick-thin is the norm that they think medium-sized bodies are fat. and i've seen some very good points about how almost every character we see that has a heavier build is just like that because their race is naturally more stocky, and that almost no characters in this story are "overweight" by their race's standards. so while this story is much better than a lot of others with its body diversity, there are still some things that it could do better.

I don't usually think about crossovers but I am choosing to believe that YGO and Shaman King are in the same universe and happening simultaneously. Two different types of death game tournaments involving ghost possessions and magic and they're both just politely ignoring one another

Yoh Asakura and Yugi pass eachother on the street and they're both like "oh wow that guy has a pretty old and powerful spirit attached to him but he seems chill so I'm just not gonna get involved in that" and go on with their day meanwhile Amidamaru and Atem are squinting at one another like disgruntled cats
