I. PRE-RELATIONSHIP

1. How did they first meet?

they met at this underground battling arena which is hidden under saffron city (i hc that battling for gambling purposes is illegal in kanto). giovanni found out about it after overhearing it via some team rocket grunts (grunts hated him because he was A mommy's boy lol so they never included him in after hours stuff) and he decided to check it out after they said the strongest trainer in all of kanto supposedly battled there and they were strong enough that nobody could beat them which giovanni thought was bullshit because he always thought himself as kanto's strongest trainer. at the time yasmine had been been training under koga and i guess became unruly cause of it and wanted to put her battling skills to good use and basically became ungovernable <3. she built up this reputation that she was unbeatable and honestly the rumours were true and she was having so much fun. giovanni wanted to prove himself that he was the best but when he found out kantos strongest trainer was nothing like he imagined he was kind of out of his depth. yasmine knew of giovanni via grunts she used to battle with and they always complained about him and thought it was going to be an easy match the second he let his his first pokemon, persian, to battle but she was wrong!!! the battle was super close but yasmine won by a hair.

2. What was their first impression of each other?

based on what she'd heard from other tr grunts she formed her own opinion on giovanni and thought of him as some spoiled mommy's boy (she was also extra salty about that cause both her parents were dead so she was jealous of that lol) and she was super cocky almost throughout their whole battle but when she learned that he was actually a challenge (unlike most of the people she battled) she began to lighten up a little and even respected his determination. on the other hand giovanni admired her for being as strong as she and found her sassiness kind of cute

3. Who felt romantic feelings first?

giovanni for sure!!! like i said he admired her battle style and her team and i think her overall personality got him attracted to her and wasn't even mad that she beat him. to top it off her found her pretty hot so big bonus. yasmine didn't really find herself attracted to him straight away and was just like "okay...... whatever" and walked off lol

4. Did either of them try to resist their feelings?

giovanni did for a little bit when yasmine didn't initially return the interest but then when he started appearing more and more just to battle her she also started to develop feelings but kept brushing it off until he appeared at where she lived with koga to ask her to join team rocket which was his way of saying he was deeply in love with her!!!

5. What would their lives be like if they had never met?

yasmine would've probably ran into team rocket at some point as koga was affiliated with them (but not to her knowledge) and her attempting to infiltrate silph co for her late fathers master ball deigns would've had her run into giovanni who was doing the same thing so they'd probably cross paths later on in their lives

6. What was their "flirting stage" like?

literally full of pokemon battling!! their admiration and respect for each other just grew and grew. i think giovanni appreciated that yasmine treated him like an actual person and not like how everyone else did i.e. either too scared of him or treat him with disdain. i think yasmine liked the companionship and somebody who made time for her (cause at this stage koga has janine to take care of whilst still mourning the loss of his wife also another hc of mine hehehe) and eventually when she agreed to join team rocket they properly started pursuing each other albeit in secret as giovanni knew his mom wouldn't appreciate both of them being supposedly distracted from their commitment to their roles.

7. How do their friends and family feel about them as a couple?

when his mom finds out about them she's not happy as they kept it secret but given her lack of faith of giovanni taking over team rocket she utilises their relationship to her advantage and is basically demanding they marry so an heir can be produced. those within team rocket are split on how they feel about yasmines sudden leap up the team rocket hierarchy like those she's friendly with commit to serving under her to matter what whilst others are sour that she didn't work for her admin position (see: archer). over time though when giovanni's mom gives up the leader role and giovanni assumes control it's kind of put to bed because nothing can be done and eventuality only a select few still dislike yasmine (team rocket girlboss <3)

I was so scared that something was gonna happen to her while she was trying to find Scott, but nah, power mom can handle herself juuuuust fine.

That was the BEST! And the way she just shouts "sweetheart, get up" with all of the affection and authority and just holds out a hand, and the way Scott just stares at her in pure love and admiration again I just....I love them. I love her. Best mom ever. <3 <3

Also, for the record, this proves that Stiles was on the right track with the defibrillators, because if he did know how to use them (they usually have instructions, by the way, so it wouldn't have been THAT hard to figure out...), they would've worked PERFECTLY.
