Irondad fic ideas #102
When Flash first overhears Peter talking about the "Stark Internship," he rolls his eyes and thinks, "Of course he'd go with that excuse at Midtown School of Science and Technology."
Whatever. Flash knows the truth. He's seen the car that Parker gets picked up in, seen the body guard / chauffeur and the absolutely insane amount of discrete safety tech he always has on. Flash is convinced that the whole orphan thing is just a cover story and Peter secretly has parents at least as rich and influential as Flash's own.
Maybe they're politicians or the mob or something, and that's why all the secrecy. Honestly, Flash is doing him a favor by bullying him all the time for being an unimportant orphan. It's the perfect cover. Maybe he'll even drop the ridiculous Stark Industries lie and come up with a more believable backstory soon.
Then, one day Flash and Peter end up in a kidnapping situation.
The kidnappers take Flash's watch, but they leave some of Peter's tech since it's better hidden. As soon as they're alone, Flash expects Peter to hit that panic button and get them the hell out of there.
Only... he doesn't? Did Peter learn nothing from K&R training? Flash reaches over and hits the secret panic button 3 times immediately, no hesitation. Peter is shocked. Flash is like, "Oh come on, I obviously know your secret."
He's kind of curious and excited now to see who Peter's secret parents are, once the cops get them out of there.
He is not at all prepared when Iron Man bursts through the door.
He's even less prepared when Tony Stark steps out of the suit and totally freaks out at Peter, hugging him and checking for injuries.
... maybe he's finally met Peter's secret parent after all.

H E A D C A N O N .
She's a BOOKWORM ! Reading is an activity that's not only stimulating and relaxing at the same time, but can also be an avenue for KNOWLEDGE ⸺ and Jessica's always down to learn.
P A T H O S.
Her first nemesis is Morgan Le Fay, though Jess already knows about the woman from legends when she first encounters her. I feel as though she grew up reading FANTASY books, as most children do, and would dream about going on such fantastic adventures, about being rescued from her locked up tower like the princesses always are. . .
L O G O S.
Once she is awoken from stasis, Hydra manipulates her into believing that they are an organisation that fights for the rights of the little guy, taking down the evils of big corporations and others that wish to do harm. But, learning the truth about her captors and watching the terrorism they wrought upon others certainly brings the ETHICS they taught her into question once she escapes.
Due to her extensive research to not only learn new, but also unlearn Hydra's lessons, Jess becomes quite knowledge when it comes to PHILOSOPHY. Kant's empirical self vs transcendental self, the concept of Dasein and specifically Heidegger's exploration of it, and a load of Sartre's teachings are some examples I can think of that would stand out to Jessica the most as she not only enters society after escaping, but as she explores herself for the first time as well.
She also reads a good few basic biology and biochemistry books, mostly as an attempt to learn how humans actually work since she never learned ⸺ but also to find out how she differs from the rest of them. Her innate thirst for SCIENCE is always there, and early on it easily manifests through her choice to read these sorts of books.
( Yes her best friend is literally The Space Hero™️ and yes she may love Star Trek more than almost anything. . . No she has not read nonfiction books about space. "I've learned all I need to know about it through Carol and by going there myself. And that's more than enough, thanks." )
E T H O S.
It doesn't take long for her to get into mystery and DETECTIVE novels, quickly striking up a love for the genre. Agatha Christie novels in particular are her favourite, really enjoying any good whodunit? story. Reading these sorts of books is one of the things that initially puts the idea of becoming a Private Investigator into her mind.
These days, her favourite remains detective novels ⸺ go figure. But other favourites include SCIENCE FICTION and ROMANCE novels. She doesn't mind the normal romances, but she'd prefer to have one with a vampire or something of the like in it. And, while she may not like being in space, nor care to read about the real life ins and outs, she does enjoy it as a background for her escapism.
Also, I don't know where else to add this in but ⸺ you give her an instruction guide ? If she's interested in whatever the subject matter is, she'll read the damn thing cover to cover. Unless it's a MASSIVE manual, like the giant gd one for autoCAD ( i do not picture her using CAD btw it's just the first thing that came to mind hgjksdg ). She wouldn't read something like that page by page, c'mon now.

I wanna shave Bakugous face for him ☹️
IIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE yeah. Idek know what to say, really. How to begin w/ this.
I feel like... shaving for him isn't just a razor and cream type moment but rather... a sharpened blade and unscented soap one. He has a whole... routine and special kit, and when you first start dating, it's kind of a surprise to see given that... he never really talks about it. Tho... why would he really, cuz it's mundane to him, you know? Something he's been doing for a while.
But like... i feel like.................. there's probably a lot of days in your relationship where you don't see each other all that much because of work... so maybe the only time you can really be w/ each other is in the morning before he leaves? Which is why you'll sometimes make a point to just sit w/ him in the bathroom while he gets ready (even if it is like. asscrack am)...
So his shaving routine ends up being something that he teaches you that way. Or maybe you just pick it up on your own by watching and ask to help w/ it eventually... and he actually really enjoys it; a rare treat for him on his few days off from work a month, when he can sleep in and you can go slow and take your time.
it honestly probably becomes a little... ritual, of sorts. Bonding. Something he looks forward to. Esp when you rub aftershave on him all gently and go around smelling like him for a while after.
Oh and maybe on vacations or holidays, too, when he doesn't have to be in work for a couple days, he lets his scruff grow out a bit so you can shave it in the evening sometime. He definitely gets all sleepy as you do it... and it's berry CUTE to watch him try to stay awake for it all!!!
(What a sign of trust tho, just in general, to let you hold and direct his face w/o fear of getting hurt.)
anyway. You guys end up the old couple that has a weekly day for it and everyone is jealous of you. What if i cry myself to sleep?

The rabbit's ears sink lower in their sockets, upper halves folded as forward as possible on their hinges. The most tangible portrayal of sadness he can manage aside from the half-lidded eyes over his permanent smile. "I know we're—," Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, "—not the stars of the show no more, but maybe I could go on sometime? Like the old days." As himself, he meant. "For an anniversary or somethin'."
