To celebrate, we are reaching back even further than those five years, way way back, all the way to the origin story of the Sharky-Satan friendship, even back before we even called each other Sharky or Satan, when we bonded over talking not about Kingdom Hearts, or asexuality, or dating sims, but over a little game called Life is Strange. Unless you consider Life is Strange to be a dating sim, which would not be wrong...

does anyone remember when team salvato had that “for fans by fans” fanart merch contest, but like it had a backstory that monika “wasn’t allowed to participate” cause “she always wins and it would be unfair :(” but like all images of her and mentions of her name were glitched out, and in the background of the promo art there was a piece of paper with her poem “Hole in Wall” mostly erased (and not even in her font asset, just in the neutral/MC handwriting font) so all signs pointed to monika’s file being deleted

but then literally none of that was ever directly acknowledged in the posts or the merch for the contest, or in ddlc+ lore, or on other posts from team salvato’s twitter or monika’s twitter account? so, though it probably wasn’t intended to be lore to begin with, we never got any context for it, even within the constraints of the “backstory” for this specific contest?

…no? just me? ok.

5 Year YouTube ANNIVERSARY!

🌸My 5 Year YT Channel Anniversary will be on Friday, July 28!

For 5 whole years, I've been consistently working on the channel. It's crazy how it's already been that long. At the start of the channel, I spent hundreds of hours on my let's play videos. Then eventually I started live streaming with Super Mario Maker 2. My first live stream was a phenomenal success and blast. Whether you've been here since the start or later on, I appreciate every single one of you and all the support along the way. Thank you everyone.

In honor of my 5 Year YouTube Channel Anniversary, I will be having a special Live Stream Party Celebration with everyone! We'll be doing a mixture of different video games. I'll have more info. on that soon! A part of me would love to do a 12 hour live stream, but due to my health and really bad streaming setup, it's probably best if I don't go so crazy this time. xD For my last anniversary, I did a 32 hour live stream lol. Doctor Who is celebrating 60 years by releasing over 800 episodes on BBC iPlayer.

The sci-fi fantasy show first premiered in 1963 and has cemented itself as a permanent fixture in pop culture history. This fall, fans will be able to stream the entire 800-plus episode series along with spin-offs like Sarah Jane Adventures, Torchwood, and Class, and the behind-the-scenes series Doctor Who Confidential.

Each Dr Who episode will be made accessible for all Whovians, with subtitles, audio description, and sign language options available for the very first time.

It was about this time of year 8 years ago when Sharky & Satan first started becoming friends over Life is Strange...and what a wild friendship it is.

A lot of things bug me about peoples hype over M/sh/k/, but I think the main thing I can't stand is how everyone raves about the protagonist's character development.

If y'all want a protagonist that isn't a gross creep and shows some powerful character growth, just read and/or watch The Twelve Kingdoms. The surrounding cast of characters are fascinating in their own right too, but the protagonist especially goes through some shit. And it's interesting watching a docile girl change into someone harsh, cold and fragile, to growing into herself again and more.

It’s been a big two days following a big two weeks. The wind was wild and so was my hair… our new 200 lb umbrella landed in the pool.  I gave my take on Musso & Frank, Kauai, and Kona, why today is special, and thus why we went live early.

I got the chance to watch this short film during its broadcast debut last night, and it was absolutely delightful! Seeing so many animated Disney characters together interacting with each other had me smiling the whole way through. A great tribute to a legacy of wonder and magic. Happy 100th!
