My 50 cents: Haven't really followed DSMP, but I absolutely adore everything to do with emerald duo. For a long time, they were my go to comfort platonic soulmates :) Even now, they hold a special part in my 💛 The fic captures their personality beautifuly, the writing is really good and engaging, and there is WHUMP ;)

I love this fic. I didn’t expect to at first cuz I’m very picky but the au sounded entertaining enough to start
I got totally hooked
the writing and the story is the best part I wish it was longer or had a sequel because I loved seeing the characters interact in it plus the characterization of Wil and Q and Tommy was on point and sooo fun. The dynamic was top tier, the rivalry was perfectly balanced and over the top, the enemies to lovers was *chefs kiss*, couldn’t have done it better and I think about this fic every time I’m writing tnt duo. Unless someone else also read it and liked it a lot I don’t think anyone would make the connection if I didn’t say it here, but I put a nod to it (maybe a couple) in Diamonds, Emeralds and Other Useless Crap (I just haven’t published those parts yet)
I also like the author’s style and admired how they could make it so entertaining cuz especially back the first time I read it I had so much trouble writing anything that wasn’t action basically, and I tended not to read stuff that wasn’t a lot of action either.
And simply because it was delightful but also for no discernible reason, it’s my favorite and it remains my favorite and like I said I think about it a lot. The fact that I don’t know why it’s my favorite makes it even even better I think cuz then it’s just Everything. Sometiems I go back and check if any other parts have been made.

✨️Welcome to my Grian HeadCannon rant✨️
Hi, so I'm writing this on my phone while watching Hermitcraft. Lol. These are thoughts that have been bouncing around my head for a while.
-Grian's wings-
I think they shapshift. Think about it. We, the audience and the artists, are constantly making different variations of Grian. Either through the art itself or through headcannons. "Cannon" wise, we are the Watchers, and We gave Grian his wings.
There's Parrot Grian, which is pretty much default Grian at this point. Then there's white winged Grian, which could either be a dove or a chicken. Theres the desert birb Grian because of Life series Desert-Duo. There's the recent King Fisher Grian because of his fishing addiction this season. Then there's his Watcher form, which usually ends up being biblical accurate angel. Which I think the multiple wings are the different kinds of bird avian hybrid We make Grian into. (This will probably be the only "original" thought that's been going through my head. The rest of this is me compiling HCs I've heard/seen/watched and have been brimming full to talk and analyze, tho the analyzing will probably be a different post lol)
-Grian's Family-
There's a lot of HCs when it comes to family connects to Grian. There's YHS background that left him as an abandoned kid in Japan. Nadia225 gave Grian adopted Mafia parents, which is really cool, and you should watch their videos because they're really talented. And they gave Grian Bio-parents where one is a Water and the other is a Listener. And they're royalty. There's HCs of him being adopted by Philza (which honestly makes no sense to me because I think Grian is older than Philza. Character wise too.) And then He gets adopted by Xisuma. So parental figure-wise, there are a few to choose from.
Sibling wise... that's even bigger. There's the classic Jimmy and Pearl. There was one of Scar and Pearl being sibs to Grian. (The sibling dance animation that I can't remember the youtubers name to credit) There's Etho, through choice, with Nadia225 (or that's how I've interpreted their interactions lol). And then there's Martyn who gets thrown in, too. (But this just might be me.) Back to parent Philza, Grian gains Wilbur, Techno, Tommy, and occasionally Tubbo as younger brothers. I guess We see Grian as a big Family dude. (^○^)
Extended family tho... I have yet to see anything about aunts and uncles, not even grandparents, and my brain isn't coming up with anything.
Parent Grian always ends up adopting Tommy, but I think I've seen at least 2 fanfics where it was Tubbo instead.
-Watcher Relationships-
It's so weird. Like. Do We have a Feral Sibling relationship with Grian. Or are We mortal enemies. Is he traumatized by Us, or has he fully accepted being a Watcher. Like, I love the angst fics as much as the next Watcher, BUT PLEASE, I NEED MORE POSITIVE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN US, would love any fic recs anyone has, lol.
-Martyns cannon-
I still need to actually research this one, but at the end of Evo (Grian pov) it is /heavily/ implied that Grian joins the Watchers, seemingly by choice. Then I moved on to hermitcraft 6-9 and binge watched that. So if there's any Martyn Cannon that can be added on plus his "headcannons" feel free to do so!

It’s dark inside their nest, almost pitch black with how the maple leaves block out the starlight. Cas is nothing but a lump, but Dean bets that if they were lumps together, they’d be warmer. It’s not gay if they’re huddling for warmth, right? It should also be taken into account that they’re squirrels, and he’s pretty sure it’s not gay if they’re squirrels, either.
Dean is suffering because he’d insisted that they be two squirrels sleeping on opposite sides of the nest, five inches apart because they’re not gay.

ok holy shit i stayed up till like, 3am, to finish reading tommy's clinic for supervillains, and it was AMAZING. i really like your writing style, what other fics of yours do you recommend i should read? :o
(mostly as in what are your fav fics youve written)
oh i'm so so glad you enjoyed!! yes of course I can give you some recs for my other fics :)
I wouldn't say this fic is one of my favorites I've written, but if you enjoyed clinic you'll almost certainly enjoy the world forgetting by the world forgot. it's another tommy-centric and crimeboys-centric superhero au I wrote immediately after finishing clinic, and it has a slightly darker and more serious tone to it than clinic did. if you liked the more humorous aspects of clinic, this one isn't for you, but if you like angst and hurt/comfort this is definitely your vibe. also, it has a more bittersweet ending than clinic does, so be warned.
currently, my pride and joy, my magnum opus, light of my life and the moon in my sky is my ongoing fic the stars and their children. it's both a space au and a royalty au with high stakes political games and lots of complicated relationships. this one is in wilbur's pov and wilbur-centric, and while it's also crimeboys-centric it also has a very heavy focus on sand duo! it's also extremely long and I'm not even done with it yet (although I'm close!). if you want really messy relationships, grey characters, and royal politics this is your jam (I also think it's genuinely the best thing I've ever written)
if you want something a bit less intense and shorter than any of those, you might like my fic honey and tangerines. it's a cozy slice of life fic in a modern setting where tommy and wilbur used to be stepbrothers, but their parents split when they were still kids. now, tommy's moving in with wilbur after not seeing him for 8 years. it's a warm fic about love and healing and it has some darker themes, but nothing too intense. tommy-centric and crimeboys-centric with a side focus on angel duo! also there's more humor in this one!
and lastly, do you like cosmic horror? the feeling of being watched by something more ominous and all knowing than you could ever hope to understand? midwest gothic? do you like vague religious themes? check out my cosmic horror story starman waiting in the sky. it's wilbur pov that's crimeboys-centric and things get fun and weird :)

sick alright. ive said some of these before im sure, but always nice to have em all in one place, yeah? in no particular order...
can i get you to stay? by acuteroses (complete, 23k). phil dies in his years-long hardcore world and The Powers That Be drop him into techno's lawn to help readjust and recover after extended isolation. it's pretty interesting! a really nice hurt/comfort fic
skin splits to bone by renvember (oneshot, 2.4k). techno meets phil while in the nether and follows him home. first fic in a series
Like a Good Neighbor by dreamdx (ongoing, 18k). phil and techno are neighbors in an apartment complex. wil and tommy are also around, but it mostly focuses on phil's attempts to befriend his reclusive neighbor. starting to make very interesting hints abt techno's past, plus has some real fun drama
It Was a Pale White Horse. by MemeMachine562 (oneshot, 6k). when the butcher army goes after technoblade, phil goes after them. sometimes you just gotta terrorize a bunch of people to save your buddy and that's cool as hell
28 Days of Delirium by AuricAxis (complete, 16k). techno gets trapped in the end and meets phil who has been stuck in the end for a Long Time and been changed by it. they decide 2 heads is better than one and begin trying to escape the end together
Remember Me For Centuries by GracefulLeopard (oneshot, 19k). tftsmp au w phil entering the pit bc techno has been cursed to fight there as a beast and phil wants to bring him home
the lilting dance of binary stars by findingkairos (oneshot, 8.5k) i know everyone knows the "to you i gift the end of things" series but also oh my god to you i gift the end of things series i also just like the reincarnation-ish premise and any fic abt techno's execution ill enjoy
there's a debt or two i owe you by acuteroses (oneshot, 3.8k). smpe edmuo, techno is captured and the angel of death comes to rescue him. once again sometimes you just gotta kill a bunch of people to save your buddy and that's cool as hell

Then Technoblade met a necromancer named Dream, who dragged the both of them to therapy and taught them about the magic of friendship along the way. Oh, and some actual magic too.
Don't know this one, looks like it has a lot of rivalsduo and doomsdaytrio but a decent amount of emerald duo

(Such a shame, then, that the Angel of Death should meet his match.)
